This document discusses factors that have impacted population changes in London over the past 400 years. It mentions improvements in transportation allowing London to grow outside the central city as people could commute to work. It also notes that large numbers of factories in London attracted more workers and encouraged additional development. The document further discusses people migrating to London from other parts of the UK and world in search of jobs, and how the perception of London has changed over time due to regeneration and increased tourism.
This document discusses the history of traffic and congestion issues with transportation as well as potential solutions. It notes that the first automobile was patented in 1789, but it was not until 1885 that Karl Benz created the first internal combustion engine automobile. As more cars were developed and became widespread in the early 20th century, head-on collisions became more common, showing the need for traffic management solutions. Some early solutions for transportation included designated one-way streets and bus lanes. The document argues that managing and designating lanes for traffic, as is done for transportation, could help address congestion issues that are commonly experienced with data traffic on mobile networks today.
The document provides information about the London 2012 Olympics, including a promotional video about the Olympic Stadium design, details about new high-speed trains connecting the Olympic Park to central London, and a homework assignment asking students to create an acrostic using the word "SUSTAINABLE OLYMPICS" and relate sentences to sustainability and the 2012 Games, finding images from the official Olympics website.
Glasgow won a £24 million UK government grant in 2013 to become one of the UK's first smart cities. The money is being used for projects that create better services for citizens through apps providing real-time transportation information, and allow citizens to report issues like potholes or missed bin collections via an app. It is also being invested in analytical software and security cameras to help prevent crime and monitor energy usage to provide gas and electricity to poorer areas experiencing fuel poverty.

HijackLoader Evolution: Interactive Process HollowingDonato Onofri
CrowdStrike researchers have identified a HijackLoader (aka IDAT Loader) sample that employs sophisticated evasion techniques to enhance the complexity of the threat. HijackLoader, an increasingly popular tool among adversaries for deploying additional payloads and tooling, continues to evolve as its developers experiment and enhance its capabilities.
In their analysis of a recent HijackLoader sample, CrowdStrike researchers discovered new techniques designed to increase the defense evasion capabilities of the loader. The malware developer used a standard process hollowing technique coupled with an additional trigger that was activated by the parent process writing to a pipe. This new approach, called "Interactive Process Hollowing", has the potential to make defense evasion stealthier.
