Koha is an open-source integrated library system (ILS) that provides core functionality for libraries including circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, serials management, and patron management. It was initially developed in New Zealand and is now maintained by an international team. Koha uses a dual database design with both text-based and relational database management system components to handle transaction loads. It is compliant with library standards and has web-based interfaces, making it platform independent. Koha is free and open source software distributed under the GPL license.

This PPT contain details of Z39.50 and useful for Library Science students. This protocol used for information retrieval and in the end list of different types of protocols are given.
Sears List of Subject Headings, first published by Minnie Earl Sears in 1923, has served as a standard authority list for subject cataloging in small and medium-sized libraries, delivering a basic list of essential headings, together with patterns and examples to guide the cataloger in creating further headings.
KOHA is world's best, Open-source, Free-to-download and use-share Library Management Solution available for all types and sizes of libraries.
OpenLX is the largest service provider for KOHA in/around India.

A digital agenda for library automation & networking. e-Granthalaya is a library automation software from National Informatics Centre, Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. The software has been designed by a team of experts from software as well as Library and Information Science discipline. Using this software the libraries can automate in-house activities as well as user services. The software can be implemented either in stand-alone or in client-server mode where database and WebOPAC are installed on the server PC while the data entry program is installed on client PCs. The software provides LOCAL/LAN/WAN based data entry solutions for a cluster of libraries where a centralized database can be created with Union Catalog output. The software provides Web OPAC interface to publish the library catalog over Internet/Intranet. The software runs on Windows paltform Only, UNICODE Compliant ,thus, supports data entry in local language.

Scaleable PHP Applications in KubernetesRobert Lemke
Kubernetes is also called the "distributed Linux of the cloud" – which implies that it provides fundamental infrastructure, which can solve a lot of challenges. Let’s see how PHP applications fit into this picture. In this presentation, we are going to explore when Kubernetes is a good fit for operating your PHP application and how it can be done in practice. We’ll look at the whole lifecycle: how to build your application, create or choose the right Docker images, deploy and scale, and how to deal with performance and monitoring. At the end you will have a good understanding about all the different stages and building blocks for running a PHP application with Kubernetes in production.
How to Use GSM/3G/4G in Embedded Linux SystemsToradex
The number of embedded devices that are connected to the internet is growing each day. Nowadays, they are installed majorly using a wireless connection. They need mobile network coverage to be connected to the internet. Read our next blog which tells you about the various configurations to connect a device such as Colibri iMX6S with the Colibri Evaluation Board running Linux to the internet through the PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) link.
