This document summarizes information about the bacteria Klebsiella. It belongs to the genus Klebsiella within the family Enterobacteriaceae. Klebsiella is a facultative anaerobe found in the normal flora of humans. It can cause various opportunistic infections especially in immunocompromised individuals.
