1.0 PURPOSE
This paper is designed to apply for consideration and approval and financial assistance to
conduct Solo Singing Of “Muzik Asli” Competition, SMK Taman Mutiara Rini, Johor Bahru
2018.
2.0 INTRODUCTION
Solo Singing Of “Muzik Asli” Competition is a competition organized by the Panel of
Pendidikan Muzik in SMK Mutiara Rini in collaboration with the Kementerian Belia Dan
Sukan Negeri Johor, Jabatan Kebudayaan Dan Kesenian Negeri Johor (JKKN) and
Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM).
Program based on the concept of traditional entertainment was in the first year and become a
the point measures for the SMK Taman Mutiara Rini. Hence, Solo Singing Of “Muzik Asli”
Competition which would take place in 2018 with theme and its own renewal, set to be carried
out with goal to strengthen the relations between the students of SMK Mutiara Rini with
organization of SMK Mutiara Rini and not forgetting their relationship with other school, local
community the various ethnic groups and religion.
“Lestari Muzik Asli Sepanjang Zaman” the choice of the theme aiming to to encourage the
tendency and interest among students to know and learn traditional music in Malaysia through
the activities and performances. The concept of traditional entertainment featured able to attract
visitors attention through the offerings from the participants of Solo Singing Of “Muzik Asli”
Competition.
In addition, it is also aimed at to give a musical aesthetic experience and awareness of the
students in becoming a students that outstanding and excellent holistically. Hopefully, with the

experience they gained during the competition, they are able to developed the power of
communication and interaction through the performances. Hence, students they are able to
nurture the discipline and as the alternative to spend their free time with quality time.
Above all, the competition are potentially to promote the quality improvement of music in
school and local culture and to maintain the heritage of national cultural arts in our country.
3.0 MISSION
Making a competition as a foundation for highlight the talents within the student circles and
activity of the Solo Singing Of “Muzik Asli” Competition as a medium to release the pressure.
4.0 GOALS
Strengthen the relations between the sudents of SMK Mutiara Rini with organization of SMK
Mutiara Rini, other school and local community. Futhermore,the competition are able to train
the students to gain knowledge in organization and the management of work in order to
establish a students who have the generic skills required towards charming personality.
Cooperation that stranded with outsiders also gives many benefits to the students in developing
potential and personality of themselves.
5.0 OBJECTIVE
5.1. To encourage the tendency and interest among students to know and learn traditional
music in Malaysia.
5.2. To give a musical aesthetic experience and awareness of students.
5.3. To developed the power of communication and interaction through the performances
5.4. To nurture the discipline among students and an alternative to spend their free time
with quality time.
5.5. To promote the quality improvement of music in school and local culture.
5.6. To maintain the heritage of national cultural arts in our country.

The competition will be spread out widely in the form of a bilingual through media advertising,
flyers, posters and banners in the area of Johor Bahru. The target participants are students of
SMK Mutiara Rini and local students around Johor Bahru.

16.1 Solo Singing Of “Muzik Asli” Competition
The program is based on the concept of comptition that allows the talent of the students
from other areas which is art music. Other than that, it was labelled as one medium to
srengthen the relationship between students of SMK Mutiara Rini and local students
around Johor Bahru.

APPENDIX D
TERMS & CONDITION
1. TERMS & CONDITION
i. Participation is open to teenagers consisting of local citizens, men and women
between the ages of 13 to 17 years. Born on 1 January 1998 to 31 December 2002).
ii. Participation fees is RM50 each participants.
iii. This concept of competition is a solo performances and divided into two categories
namely category consisting male and female.
iv. Only one song for each preliminary and final stage.
v. Participant are compulsory to choose one different song for preliminary and final
stage according to the song list by organizer.
vi. Organizer will provide live band musician for each performances during preliminary
and final stage.
vii. When sending the registration form, the participant must state the title of the song for
preliminary stage.
viii. The Chief Judge will determine whether the participants are allowed to make a
performances occurrences in the event of technical.
ix. Any expenses to participate in the Solo Singing of “Muzik Asli” Competition, bear by
the participants themselves.
x. The Secretariat reserves the right to take any action if there are any errors made by the
participants.
xi. Clothing must be appropriate and polite for the competition.
2. DISCIPLINE OF THE PARTICIPANTS
i. All participants shall take care of self-discipline during this competition, to safeguard
the good name of self, family, school and organizer.
ii. During the competition, participants are required to follow the instructions and
regulations of the secretariat from time to time.
iii. Any form of injury or accident participants before or after competition is the
responsibility of the participant's own.

3. COMPENSATION
i. The organizer will not be liable for any accident or injury or death or loss of goods
owned by the participant or group during the competition.
