The Parthenon Frieze is the inner most decorative piece on the outside ceiling of the Parthenon.

Every so often, Mrs. Brown pokes her head in and attempts to steer Pat Conroy s teaching
methods back on course in her favor. Pat Conroy works for a revolutionary change in the
students, while Mrs. Brown s continues a heartless attitude towards the children. One day in class,
Mr. Conroy tries to collect the students prior knowledge. Pat Conroy peruses their psyche s by
asking questions, starting from moderately hard, then gradually decreasing to basic knowledge.
He eventually decreases the difficulty to one incredibly easy question to the normal American. For
example, Pat Conroy relates, What country do we live in, gang? Everybody tell me at once, I
exhorted. No one said a word. Several of the kids looked at one another and shrugged their

neglected the students of Yamacraw Island. The students cannot even comprehend the name of the

separating Yamacraw Island from the rich, fulfilled life of the outside world. When someone

Since there are more people in the UK, and they are living longer, the number of second hand
properties being sold is less, causing the prices of ones on the market to increase.
Dwellings have a high income elasticity of demand, so if the level of income increases demand for
property will also increase. Also, when people s income increases they are more likely to buy
properties than rent, also increasing average prices. There has been an overall increase in house

The Chuckwallas and Evolutionary Research
Ever since Charles Darwin s first publication of On the Origin of Species in 1859, island habitats
have been used by a number of scientists as the most efficient laboratories to observe the natural
process of evolution taking place in modern day organisms. Several kilometers northeast of the
Galapagos Islands, where Darwin famously performed his research, is a small group of islands in
the Sea of CortГ©s, also known as the Gulf of California, between the Baja California peninsula
and Mexico (see Figure 1 on page 18). Here many evolutionary biologists of the 20th and 21st
century performed research on the insular organisms inhabiting these island habitats. One group of
lizards in particular known by the common name chuckwallas has gained a lot of focus in
evolutionary research.
Chuckwallas is the name of organisms in the Sauromalus genus apart of the Iguanidae family. They
are herbivorous lizards commonly found in the deserts of southwestern United States and
Northern Mexico. Three species, in particular, are found on the islands off the cost of the
mainland within the Sea of CortГ©s: Sauromalus obesus (= ater), Sauromalus varius, and
Sauromalus hispidus (see Figure 2 on page 20). S. obesus is a common species found on the
mainland as well as few islands, while S. varius are S. hispidus are endemic to specific islands in
the Sea of CortГ©s: mainly San Esteban Island and Angel de la Guarda Island, respectively. Both of
