Objective : ● Garbage management is the assorting, transporting
garbage, processing, reusing or eliminating and
monitoring garbage materials.
● Garbage management become one of the major
issues due to high population density
● To improve efficient garbage management system
by proper garbage collection and transportation.
● To reduce the impact of garbage on living organism.
Technology Used : Internet Of Things :
1. IR Sensor
2. Weight Sensor
3. GSM Modem
4. NI myRIO-1900
5. GUI
6. LabView
Proposed System
● Real time waste management system to check the fill level of the dustbin.
● It will inform the status of each and every dustbin so that the concerned authority can
send the garbage collection vehicle.
● The level of waste in the dustbins is detected with the help of IR sensor.
● When the measured value of sensors exceeds a certain threshold value then the red LED
becomes ON.
● In GUI of the mobile application the fill up status and location of the dustbins will be
shown.
System
Architecture:
This proposed system has been divided into
three layers :
1. Dustbin Layer : Consist of Wi-Fi enabled
smart bins that contain sensors that sends
fill up status and GPS location to server.
1. Server Layer : Collects the data sent by bins
and process the client query and respond
with nearest dustbin location and direction.
1. Client Layer : Clients request for the nearest
location of the IT enabled dustbin to the
server using Mobile Application.
Advantages :
● Efficient garbage collection
● Save fuel and time using appropriate route
planning.
● Reduce the environment pollution rate
● Keep environment clean and fresh.
● Decrease the disease rate caused by
pollution and provide an aesthetic
environment.
Future Scope :
● This project can be taken into product level to implement in Smart
Cities.
● It can be made durable, compact and cost effective.
● Two separate can be placed to collect wet and dry waste separately.
● Wet waste can be decomposed and used for making biogas.
Conclusion :
This System help the local municipal corporation in waste management system i.e in
monitoring of domestic waste clearance at proper time to avoid damage to the public
health.
The project came in comfortable which a worthy elucidation for maintaining green
environment.
The proposed system can be used to improve the current Smart cities system and Clean
India Mission.
THANK YOU
