Since its 2013 release, React has brought a new way to design UI components in the world wide web. The same fundamentals have been taken to another important environment in our contemporary world: the mobile applications. We'll see the philosophy behind React Native - learn once, write anywhere - and how this new framework helps developers to build native apps using React.

React Native is all about combining great user experience on native platforms with the developer experience of React on the web. Since it’s start 1.5 years ago, React Native continuously enjoys a tremendous traction. In 2015 React got popular, I believe 2017 will be the year of React Native. I followed the development since the start and now built several React Native apps. During my talk I like to introduce the library, show useful tooling and give practical advice for building React Native apps.

In this presentation given by Eric Nograles on 9/7/16 for ReactJS Tampa Bay, we go over the unique features and capabilities of React Native. By bringing the React developer experience and ecosystem to native platforms, React Native enables exponential gains in developer productivity without sacrificing native UX. "Learn once, write anywhere" is real, and development organizations stand to gain by adopting this ecosystem and philosophy!
React Native is an open source framework by Facebook that enables software engineers to build world-class application experiences on native platforms using a consistent developer experience based on JavaScript and React. I'll talk about what React Native actually is (and what it isn't), how it works under the hood, and why it was designed like that.
Writing a truly consumable REST API is hard. Once exposed, documentation must be perfect before it can be consumed. Consumers often face days or weeks of work creating the client code. Many just need a command-line API. For a large API, writing these by hand and keeping them in sync is mission impossible. This session shows how to combine tooling around JAX-RS, OpenAPI, and MicroProfile REST Client to bootstrap microservice APIs that have Amazon-style Java client library, command-line API, and AsciiDoc/HTML documentation. The presentation explores generation of clients in other languages such as JavaScript and Git-inspired command-line techniques that enable REST calls to be secured via SSH keys. All perfectly documented in AsciiDoc, HTML, and man pages.

Workshop: Introduction to Web Components & Polymer John Riviello
From Little Rock Tech Fest 2017
With the updates to iOS and Android phones released earlier this year, Web Components are now supported natively. With libraries such as Polymer that are built on top of Web Components, it is now possible to easily create fast Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) without the overhead of a framework. In this workshop, we'll begin with a brief introduction to Web Components and Polymer, and then dive into hands-on experiences with the core aspects of Web Components: the <template> tag, Custom Elements, and the Shadow DOM.
This workshop assumes an understanding of HTML, CSS & JavaScript. No prior experience with Web Components, Polymer, or any library or framework (Web Components or otherwise) is required.

Redux persist.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.

About Me
15. @matteomanchi
React is a JavaScript library
for building user interfaces
developed by Facebook.
It allows you to define your UI using Components, which are
reusable, and it helps UI updates through Declarative UI.
All this overhead is minimized by Virtual DOM.
15
What is React?
16. @matteomanchi
■ Component: Everything is a component
■ Props: some data passed to child component
■ State: some internal data of a component
■ JSX: XML-like syntax helps to define component's
structure
■ Virtual DOM: tree of custom objects representing a port
of the DOM

React renders your entire app as a plain object, totally
decoupled from DOM. On every change, it performs the diff
of previous object tree with the new one. Then it change only
the partial DOM which is mutated.

42
Developer Tools - Reload
43. @matteomanchi
You can speed up your development times by having your
app reload automatically any time your code changes.
To do this, enable Live Reload from dev menu.
43
Developer Tools - Live Reload
44. @matteomanchi
You may even go a step further and keep your app running as new versions of
your files are injected into the JavaScript bundle automatically by enabling Hot
Reloading from the Developer Menu. This will allow you to persist the app's state
through reloads.
44
Developer Tools - Hot Reloading
46. @matteomanchi
In-app errors are displayed in a full screen alert with a red background inside your
app. This screen is known as a RedBox.
Instead, warnings will be displayed on screen with a yellow background. These
alerts are known as YellowBoxes.

need to build.
■ Like in create-react-app, eject is the process of setting up
your own custom build for your app.
■ When I need to do it?
■ I want to include external native libraries
■ I want to write my custom native module
■ I want to publish my app to Stores.
You can back to standard setup any time with:
