According to the curriculum of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) described by Pakistan Veterinary
Medical Council (PVMC), every student has to spend his/her last semester for an internship. For this
purpose, I have spent my 10th semester for the internship at two places at HI-TECH FEEDS (PVT).
LTD. UNIT-3 SAHIWAL Dated 7/09/15 to 22/11/15 and at Bhawalpur Zoo 24/11/15 to 29/12/15. At
both places, In HI-TECH FEEDS (PVT). LTD. UNIT-3 SAHIWAL I worked in feed mill to learn
production of poultry feed and got Lab skills to analysis the nutritional values of ingredients, and also
work as APM for last twenty days in feed mill, while in BWP Zoo I worked and improved the feeding
management of zoo animals and also provide treatment to the sick and injured animals during this period.

Beginning with the name of Allah Almighty, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful, with
Whom’s help and mercy, I could be able to complete my internship successfully.
I am thankful to Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain and Dr. Khubaib Sattar as well for my placement
of internship at Hi-Tech group and BWP Zoo, with the help of them I availed these learning
opportunities.
I extend my gratefulness to Dr. Aslam Sadique Production manager of Hi-Tech feeds unit 3
Sahiwal, and Dr. Saleem Danish the Quality manager of Hi-Tech feeds unit 3 Sahiwal they
permitted me for internship Hi-Tech Poultry group and Dr. Sohail Ahmed Veterinary officer at
Bahwalpur Zoo who obliged me regarding my every assigned task and made me learn more
and more in the Zoo, how can we manage wild life? And there treatment and restraining
protocols.
I also appreciate whole team of Hi-Tech feeds unit 3 Sahiwal for their cooperation during
the whole span of internship.I am Specially Thank full to Dr. Aslam Sadique who helped
and guided me feed milling, feed manufacturing and marketing of feed.
Specially thanks to my family (parents, sister and brothers) principally my Father Qamar U
Zaman.

Introduction:
Hi-Tech feeds was established in 1985 which marked the inception of Hi-Tech group. Within
two decades the mother unit has turned into a mega industrial outfit. This was made
possible through superior governance and with the support of an extremely dedicated team.
Today this group among the largest poultry and cattle feed manufacturers in Pakistan, with
the highest number of sales and feedback staff comprising of veterinarian doctors. Hi-Tech
feeds unit 3 Sahiwal started in 2010, producing sixty tons per hour feed and 3rd pellet mill
near to working.

Conclusion & Recommendations
Conclusion:
Hi- Tech Feeds Unit-3 Sahiwal is a good
place for work.
All the Staff is well experienced and fully
Co-operative.
Feed is a necessary product so its demand
increases day by day.
The feed mill is a profit motive business
Recommendations:
To new investors is that they must invest in feed mill because from the last year there
is a great change or entrance of new poultry farmers in Pakistan. So, they step
forward to come and invest or to start this business.

Bahawalpur Zoo
Introduction
Bahawalpur Zoo ( ), was established in 1942, in 25-acre, by the Sir Nawab Sadiq Muhammad
Khan Abbasi. It was then named "Sher Bagh". In 1955, the administrator of the zoo
Dr.Ghulam haider sumro was transferred to the Department of Agriculture. From 1977 to
1982, the zoo remained under the control of the Department of the Live Stock Punjab. The
Bahawalpur Zoo is the fourth biggest zoo in Pakistan, after Lahore Zoo, Karachi Zoo and
Islamabad Zoo. In bwp zoo more than 600 birds and 180 mammals.

This zoo has bred various threatened species of Asiatic lion, Asian black bear, Bengal tiger,
black buck and hog deer. Others like chinkara (Indian gazelle), chital (spotted deer), and
nilgai (blue bull) are also breeding successfully in the zoo.
Feeding management and quality
Daily check the quality of feed
Lion: 7-10 kg beef for 6 days, chicken for 1 day
Chimpanzee : fruit 3 kg, roti 200-300 gram, milk 2 liter
Zebra : 10-15 kg fodder, Lucern 5.5 kg, concentrate 2 kg
All Birds : Poultry feed with mixed chopped fodder
