Continuous development of competencies to integrate ICTs into teaching and learning.
Collaboration between educational administrators, policymakers, and institutions to determine training
needs and organize appropriate programs.
Training Programs:
Incorporate ICTs into pedagogical analysis, content presentation, and evaluation techniques.
Support teachers at all levels in effectively integrating ICTs into classroom practices.
Infrastructure:
Equip classrooms with basic ICT infrastructure like computers, projectors, and internet facilities.
Establish well-equipped ICT labs in teacher education institutions.
Discipline-wise Programs:
Design short-term ICT-based programs for teacher educators and teachers as part of their professional
development.
Motivation and Incentives:
Motivate teachers through incentives like certification, professional advancement, and recognition.
Curriculum Enhancement:
Design curriculum and content to support ICT implementation and enhance global competitiveness.
Incorporate technology-mediated Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support teaching and learning.

Provide leadership in adopting new pedagogies and tools for learning.

encourages learner to ask questions. It leads to critical thinking.
• Innovation Centric: Teacher promotes innovation, creativity and team spirit in
learner.
• Develop cooperative and collaborative learning environment: Learning occurs
through discussion, interaction and debate called learning for development.
 Applying ICT to prepare Teaching-Learning Materials.
 Applying ICT to make classroom interesting.
 Applying it to adequate infrastructure and technical
support.
 To prepare pre-service Teacher Education curriculum.
 Applying in refresher courses curriculum.
 To apply software, internet, projector, understanding
system software etc.

 It makes teaching-learning process easier in classroom.
 ICT helps teachers to proper access of internet to supply information.
 It helps them to various skill development in teaching.
 ICT helps teacher training institutes to develop their curriculum.
 ICT helps teachers for their personal as well as professional development.
 It helps teachers to interact with students in their classroom.
 With the help of ICT teachers can use projector in classroom.
 With the help of ICT teacher can deliver his/her lecture by presenting PPT.
 ICT helps teachers in both pre-service and refresher courses.
 It helps to manage and organise institutions.
 ICT helps to conduct research in Teacher Education Programme.
 ICT uses as an ‘assisting tools’ to collect various data.
 It helps to prepare lesson plan

Open Educational Resources (OERs)
Open Educational Resources (OERs) and ICT integration have revolutionized
teacher education.
OERs are freely accessible digital materials for teaching, learning, and research.
They include books, course materials, multimedia content, and more.
OER movement is rapidly growing, fostering collaboration and networking
among institutions and individuals.
Institutions are dedicated to building capacity for OER creation and integration.
Key OER sites include MIT OpenCourseWare (ocw.mit.edu). etc.

Learning: Social Impact
Benefits of ICTs: Enable shared learning resources, spaces,
and foster cooperative learning.
Communication Channels: Facilitate one-to-one, one-to-
many, and many-to-many communication, promoting
collaboration.
Transformation to Knowledge Society: Integration of ICTs in
education transforms society into a knowledge-based one
.
Challenges and Responsibilities: Adapting curriculum and
teaching methods to prepare students effectively for the
changing world.
Changing Role of Teachers:
Shift from traditional teaching to facilitation and moderation.
