This document provides an overview of Rockwell Automation's Integrated Architecture portfolio, which includes control and I/O, networks and security, operator interfaces, software, motion control, sensing, safety, and connectivity products. It summarizes the key features and capabilities of Rockwell's controllers including Micro800, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, AADvance, and Trusted controllers. It also summarizes I/O modules, networks and switches, and wireless technologies that are part of Rockwell's integrated control and information solutions.
Evolution
For many years our investments have created a scalable, multi-discipline control and information platform, for applications ranging from high speed motion to process control.
All built on standard, unmodified Ethernet which is a key enabler for the IT and OT convergence.
We continue to make technology investments to allow our customers to create Smarter, more Productive, more Secure automation systems.
We are employing contemporary technology to increase performance throughout all phases of a project: design, operate and maintain.

FYI - Access & Distribution are “where they fit in the architecture” terms, but Managed/Unmanaged are more “functionality type” terms
Lifecycle Info: i.e. “With 2500 on the horizon, does that mean 6k is going away?”
When 2500 releases, we will likely move 6k to active mature.
No plan formalized at this point as it relates to 6k being announced EOL, we will be closely watching trends.
If questions around 8k, “as you know it hasn’t been transitioned to active mature, we see this family being around for several more years”
