To align with ISA Standard 18.2, FactoryTalk Alarms
and Events 2.60 and later will support the Shelved
State.
Shelving an alarm is similar to suppressing an
alarm but with an expiration time.
ISA 18.2 aligns suppress as a programmatic
command that should not be exposed to an
operator.
Shelved provides the benefit of allowing user to
better manage their alarm strategies, make
adjustments, and operate much better.
