This document provides step-by-step instructions for installing Audacity and Lame.dll on your computer to record and export an MP3 podcast file. It details inserting the CD-ROM, running installation files, selecting language and extraction locations, and plugging in a microphone to begin recording a podcast and exporting it as an MP3 file.

1.  Installing Audacity

2.  Insert the CD-Rom into the CD-Rom
drive
 Double click Audacity-win-1.2.6.exe
 Select Next

3.  Read the agreement
 If you accept, click Next

4.  Click Next

5.  Click Next

6.  Click Next

7.  Click Install

8.  Wait

9.  Click Finish

10.  Select the desired language
 ClickOK
 Audacity Opens
 Select File
 Select Close

11.  Installing lame.dll

12.  Select the CD-Rom drive

13. • Double click lame 3.96.1.zip

14.  Select Extract all files from the left

15.  Select Next

16.  Click Browse to locate an extraction point

17.  Find the C drive of your computer

18. • Select Make a New Folder
• Name the folder Lame
• Click OK

19. • Click Next

20. • Wait

21. • Uncheck the box
• Select Finish

22. RECORD YOUR FIRST PODCAST
• Plug in the headphone/microphone
combinaPon
• Wait for MicrosoQ to recognize the new
device
• Click the red record buSon to begin recording
• Press the blue pause buSon to pause or the
yellow stop buSon to conclude your recording

23.  Select File
 Export as MP3

24.  Name the file
 Save the file to either your H drive or you
desktop
 Click Save

25.  When prompted, select YES

26.  Navigate to
 My Computer
 C:
 Lame

27.  Select lame_enc.dll
 Select Open

28.  Insert
the desired information regarding your
podcast
 Click OK
