This document outlines the goals and structure of an innovation-focused math class called "Innovation Nation". The class aims to inspire students to work together to solve problems and improve the world through recycling, reusing, and remixing ideas. Students will inspire others, use their creativity, and make new things. The class will have group projects, homework, and rewards like game days. Students will provide feedback and encouragement to support innovation.

Katina Strauch began the Charleston Conference back in 1980 and The Conference has grown to be an international meeting attended by hundreds of librarians, publishers, vendors, and aggregators. She talked about why and how this happened (she thinks) and how, in 1989 (just prior to Hurricane Hugo) she decided to begin publication of Against the Grain, linking publishers, vendors,and librarians. Katina is Assistant Dean for Technical Services and Collection Development at the College of Charleston Libraries. The Charleston Conference and Against the Grain are private independently-operated entities.

To review some of the major misconceptions associated with innovation and to define the 10 principles of innovation
To consider the challenges and changing dynamics of social and sustainability innovation
Creativity is a discipline we need more than. But the right conditions are needed for it to thrive. Taking a look at academia, science and recent writing about ideas- this presentation uncovers the 11 conditions required for creativity to flourish.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
