Hannah presented 5 ideas for recipe cards and received feedback on each from an evaluator. The ideas included desserts, Chinese cuisine, healthy snacks, vegetarian pies, and pizza. The evaluator generally liked that the ideas were colorful, unique, and focused on vegetarian options. They suggested Hannah explain more about the target audience and card design. Hannah agreed she should have better defined these aspects. While she liked the pizza idea, she noted it may be difficult to find suitable toppings that appetize people. Her favorite overall was the dessert idea as everyone enjoys desserts.

 I chose this idea because I think it is very interesting and all children love
deserts. This is a very fun topic full of exciting colours and topics to base my
recipe’s on.

What do you like about the idea?
I like the idea of the deserts because everyone likes deserts
and it seems quite interesting because of the different range of
bright colours etc.
What areas of the idea could be developed?
You could explain what sort of children its for like the age or
gender. Also you could try tell us what what of recipe card you
wanted like embossed or die cut.
What do you find interesting about the idea?
From the photos used in this idea it makes the recipes seem
more creative so the recipe card will be bright and colourful.

 Chinese
 Black, Red, Yellow, Orange
 People are often put off by Chinese food because of dodgy meat. However if I
make recipe cards for a veggie Chinese, people may be very interested.

What do you like about the idea?
Its different and interesting because not everyone would
think to make Chinese recipes that are only for
vegetarians.
What areas of the idea could be developed?
You could explain more about the layout out what the
recipe card and how it will be made.
What do you find interesting about the idea?
I found the use of colours quite interesting because it’s a
mix different bright colours.

6. Idea 3
 Healthy Snacks
 All different types of colours- try to stick to exciting colours to grab peoples attention.
 Most snack foods are full of calories, fat or meat. The Snack recipe cards I will be
creating will be healthy and vegetarian for those that do not like meat or calories.
This is most likely to be diet food.
 It will include fruits, rice, corn and vegetables.

From the different photos used at the bottom it helped
show me the different sorts of fruits used and the interest
of what it will look like when made.
What areas of the idea could be developed?
You could try and tell us who the target audience is and
how the recipe card will look.
What do you find interesting about the idea?
I liked the fact that in this idea you explain what sorts of
food will be in the meals which gives you more idea and
makes it more interesting overall.

 Pie and Peas!
 Different types of vegetarian pies- Indian, Chinese, Italian. The pies will be made with
thick pastry and deeply filled in all kinds of vegetarians favourite dishes.
 I chose this idea because it is much different to anything before. I think this is a great
dish for veggies as it is out of the ordinary.

everyone’s favourite veggie
nibbles, peppers, cheeses, sweet corn.

Everyone loves a bit of pizza so I think it’s a great

Its creative and easy to do.

What do you agree with from your feedback?
I agree with the feedback where I am being told that I could of
explained what I will be doing with recipe cards and how they will be
represented. For example, embossed, laminated, or the die cut
technique.
As my feedback partner has stated, most people, especially children,
like desserts. Therefore this is another statement I agree on. They say
that they like this idea is people will be interested, I think this too.
I also think that the images I used help the ideas because it made the
feedback partner understand how I wanted the recipe’s to be. The
partner stated that they like the sound of it and like how colourful the
recipe will turn out like, this is also what I like about it.
What was also said was, how they liked that I had chose to make a
recipe for a veggie Chinese dish. This is not ordinary and people
wouldn’t usually think to create this, which is why I chose to do it.
I agree with my partner when they said that I should have thought
about my target audiences because when I was creating these ideas.

What do you disagree with from your feedback?
I disagree with my partner when they say that specific ideas are
easy to do, because it will not be that easy as finding toppings for
pizzas which are also vegetarian could get very difficult as only
several things could actually work and apathies people.

14. Idea Evaluation
Which idea that you came up with is your favourite and why?
My favourite idea was idea 5 –pizza. However I like idea 1 –desserts. I like
idea 5 because nobody has thought of anything like this. It could be a very
exciting topic, however it could get quite tricky when finding toppings to fit
nicely on to the pizza. Another risk with this idea would be finding pizzas to
appetise people as for example, broccoli as a topping may make people
feel a bit sick, where as sweet corn could be somebody’s favourite.
