This document discusses using a virtual learning environment (VLE) like Moodle to facilitate collaboration and sharing of resources among staff. It notes that staff currently collaborate in disparate ways like email and shared drives, which can result in outdated or disorganized resources. The VLE aims to provide a centralized place for tutors to plan lessons together, share best practices, and design learner-focused materials and sessions for induction and tutorials. Key benefits include easier planning, more meaningful content, and alignment across staff. Issues to address include outdated content and broken links within existing resources. The VLE area was created with LSIS funding and college support to better help tutors with induction and tutorial sessions.
