Comparative study of student performance using the Report Card in
CQG
Sample size of 400 Students in CSC111 in spring and fall 2014
Survey at the end of the class to measure “Course Experience”
EXPECTED RESULTS
• Better Student’s Performance
• Increased Satisfaction for the Course
• Communication bridge between Instructor and the Student
LIMITATIONS
• Deployment is hard in non-programming courses
• Reasonable mapping of questions in each section
• Feedback must be coded by the Instructor section-wise before
releasing the quiz

Improving assessment in Online learning

  • 3. NEED FOR SOLUTION? Why?  Inefficiency of total score to provide enough information.  Student unawareness to address there weakness.  Absence of crucial information to make recommendation by instructor.  Student Interest for the course decreases.
  • 4. RESEARCH QUESTION Assessment in online learning can be improved by using a personalized report card.
  • 5. PERSONALIZED REPORT CARD Feedback Focus on Loops using the Link Book: Fundamentals of programming Practice Tests at Link
  • 6. METHODOLOGY Comparative study of student performance using the Report Card in CQG Sample size of 400 Students in CSC111 in spring and fall 2014 Survey at the end of the class to measure “Course Experience”
  • 7. EXPECTED RESULTS • Better Student’s Performance • Increased Satisfaction for the Course • Communication bridge between Instructor and the Student
  • 8. LIMITATIONS • Deployment is hard in non-programming courses • Reasonable mapping of questions in each section • Feedback must be coded by the Instructor section-wise before releasing the quiz
