● Type of performance that uses audience suggestions to
create spontaneous scenes & stories
● Sometimes called “improv comedy” -- but doesn’t have to
be funny!
● In improv, you must:
○ Trust yourself & your scene partners
○ Speak & react spontaneously -- don’t think too hard about what you
will say!
○ Be able to change your mind & actions quickly
○ Always build on what your scene partner says & does
