Importance Of Women Education Essay
Writing an essay on the importance of women's education can be both challenging and
rewarding. The difficulty lies not in the lack of information or significance of the topic but rather
in the responsibility to address a multifaceted issue with the depth and nuance it deserves.
To begin with, one must navigate through historical contexts, societal norms, and cultural
intricacies that have shaped the trajectory of women's education. Analyzing the evolution of
women's educational rights and the persistent struggles for equality demands careful research
and a nuanced understanding of gender dynamics.
Furthermore, delving into the present-day scenario requires a comprehensive exploration of the
various challenges women face in accessing education globally. Socioeconomic factors,
discriminatory practices, and cultural barriers all play a role in shaping the educational landscape
for women. Tackling these issues in an essay requires a delicate balance between presenting the
stark realities and maintaining an optimistic outlook for change.
Crafting a compelling argument for the importance of women's education also involves
addressing the broader societal benefits. It's not merely about individual empowerment but about
the positive ripple effects on communities and economies when women are educated.
Communicating this interconnectedness necessitates a clear and persuasive writing style.
Moreover, the essay should be inclusive and consider the intersectionality of women's
experiences. Recognizing that factors such as race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status intersect
with gender in shaping educational opportunities adds another layer of complexity to the writing
process.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the importance of women's education requires a careful
navigation through historical, cultural, and contemporary nuances. Balancing the portrayal of
challenges with a hopeful vision for the future and addressing the intersectionality of women's
experiences demands a thoughtful and informed approach.

The Role Of Internal Audit Departments On The Business...
T auditors frequently find themselves educating the business community on how their
work adds value to an organization. Internal audit departments commonly have an IT
audit component which is deployed with a clear perspective on its role in an
organization. However, in our experience as IT auditors, the wider business
community needs to understand the IT audit function in order to realize the
maximum benefit. In this context, we are publishing this brief overview of the
specific benefits and added value provided by an IT audit.
To be specific, IT audits may cover a wide range of IT processing and communication
infrastructure such as client server systems and networks, operating systems, security
systems, software applications, web services, databases, telecom infrastructure,
change management procedures and disaster recovery planning.
The sequence of a standard audit starts with identifying risks, then assessing the
design of controls and finally testing the effectiveness of the controls. Skillful
auditors can add value in each phase of the audit.
Companies generally maintain an IT audit function to provide assurance on
technology controls and to ensure regulatory compliance with federal or industry
specific requirements. As investments in technology grow, IT auditingcan provide
assurance that risks are controlled and that huge losses are not likely. An organization
may also determine that a high risk of outage, security threat or vulnerability exists.

Federal Student Loans Research Paper
Many a young person has gone into teaching as a way to escape poverty only to
find that, as a teacher, he or she suffers under a substantial student loan debt. But can
that young person have some or all of that debt forgiven for teaching? At this time, a
student can receive one of two types of federal student loans: Federal Perkins Loans
and Stafford loans. Stafford loans are obtained either from a private lender under the
Federal Family Education LoanProgram or directly from the federal government
under the Federal Direct Loan Program. For many years now, students have been
able to cancel Federal Perkins Loans for their teaching service. The criteria for
cancellation are outlined in the promissory note the student signs before he or she...

I am not even able to say exactly how much I owe. All I know is, I make nowhere
near enough to pay it back. An article from About.com reports that over a lifetime,
people with a high school diploma earn $1.2 million dollars, while people with a
Bachelor s degree earn $2.1 million, and people with a Master s degree earn $2.5
million. Good news! I have a Bachelor s degree! And I almost have a Master s! And
yet, I am still not feeling very confident no, not at all confident that I can pay this
back. Being able to follow the career of my dreams is worth it. The education is
worth it too, I am convinced of that. If I did not have the opportunity to stick my
head up out of the daily grind and dabble in academic activities, I d be drowning.
Unfortunately, I am drowning anyway, but in money instead. There is one small light
at the end of my tunnel, but it is getting smaller year by year. Most of my student
loan debt as is most of everyone s student loan debt is in Stafford and Perkins loans.
There is a program offered by the government that allows me to have my loans
completely forgiven 100% taken away! All I have to do is...well, a lot. It works
like this. I am studying to become a teacher, so when I graduate with my teaching
certificate, I have to make sure I get hired by a low income school. That is not so
hard, really, since to be low income a school only has to have a certain percentage of
students who qualify
Aar 14-1 Airplane History Paper
Aircraft and Flight History AAR 14 01 was published by the National
Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on June 24th 2014. It is the Aircraft accident
report for Asiana Airlines flight 214, from Inchon, South Korea to San Francisco,
California. The flight was scheduled to be a 10 hour and 34 minute flight across
the Pacific Ocean. However, the flight ended short of the runway and impacted the
sea wall at the end of runway 28L, destroying the aircraft. Flight 214 was a Boeing
777 200ER, powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW4090 engines that had
accumulated over 37,000 hours in its 7 year service after being initially placed into
service on March of 2006. Prior to this incident there had never been a fatality on the

The NTSB noted that the commander placed an officer in charge of the fire attack
that had not received proper training. The crew had equipment that had not been
utilized to its fullest potential, particularly the high reach extendable turrets. The
airport also failed to deploy its two emergency medical busses to the scene. There
was also an apparent communications break down. The NTSB also noted that there
was a lack of communication between the SFO airport rescue crew and local city
dispatchers, hampering rescue efforts by local agencies. CRM Factors There were
several factors that relate to Crew Resource Management (CRM). Notably the
inability of the crew to maintain their situational awareness during the approach. The
crew became so task saturated in the approach glide path that they ignored the throttle
settings until it was too late to recover. Failure to monitor their airspeed, while
focusing on the approach path contributed as well. Fatigue of the crew, and
mismanagement of their afforded rest periods also contributed to the incident. The
most rested member in the flight station was the pilot monitoring with 3 hours of
sleep in the previous 24

Chapter 1 : Introduction: The idea of ETF was first perceived by NATHAN
MOST in 1993. Nathan s first ETF was called SPARD (also referred to as SPIDER)
and it was first traded on the American stock exchange (AMEX) by state street GA.
SPARD s only purpose is to track the S P 500. The number of ETFs that track
different indexes all over the world exchange markets have increased significantly
since 1993. SPARD, as a first ETF, dominated the markets in the 1990s, together
with CUBES, which was designed to track NASDAQ 100. The ETF is a financial
product, which has attracted a large number of financial product designers. The
ETF as a creative idea has opened a significant number of empty rooms on the
exchange market, which needed to be filled with new ETF products. This is what
attracted the financial product designers to create different types of ETFs in the
last 21 years. Barclays global fund advisor introduced WEBS (world equity
benchmark shares) in 1996 as a first ETF to provide American investors with easy
access to the forging markets. They created a family of ETFs and each ETF had
ishares as a first name and the index it followed as a second name (Ferri, 2002) .
The ETF influence could first be seen in Europe, when the German Deutsche bank
presented an ETF linked to commodity in 2006 (Fuchita Yasuyuki, 2007). ETF
Barclays continued to generate new EFT products by launching the first ETF linked
to the bond price index in 2002.The ETF as a financial product on the
The Five Forces Model of Competition
The competitive pressure in the industry was very fierce. Competition existed
between many countries in 2008. Solar PV growth witnessed an increase of 5.6
gigawatts up to 14.73 gigawatts in 2008. Geographically, total installed capacity
was split: 65 % in Europe, 15 % in Japan, 8 % in the United States. The strongest
market was Spain which counted for half of the installations because of
implementing the Renewable Energy Feed in Tariff which stands for ( REFT or
FIT). This program guaranteed electricity rates for certain renewable projects. In
2008, Spain witnesses a vast rate of growth in its ability to dominate the PV
market. The Spanish government implemented the 500MW for its installation for
the next couple of years. But Spain was expected to witness a drop in its growth by
2009. The second competitor in the industry was Germany. It covered 26.7 % of
PV installations and it was the first country to introduce the Renewable Energy
Feed in Tariff into the industry. Moreover, the United States and South Korea,
Italy, and Japan were also among the strong competitors. The United States
installations were 6 % , South Korea was 5 %,Italy was 4.9 %, and Japan was 4 %.
The Five Forces Model of Competition: 1. Competitive pressure steaming from
supplier bargaining power: On the supply side of the PV manufacturer there were
raw materials suppliers for goods such as silicon, glass, substrates, metal and cables.
Also, there were specialized equipments for making the solar

Worldwide consumers use up to 1.5 trillion plastic bags every year. In the
consumers possession the plastic bags stay with them for an average of fifteen
minutes before they get thrown away or released to blow down into the wind,
down our streets, and into our world. In Israel the average time of holding on to a
single plastic bag is twenty minutes. The use of plastic bags tally s up to $4 million
per year for retailers. One company which buys half of the used plastic bags in the
United States that are available on the open air market and uses 1.5 billion bags

Italy that he was born into. Much is unknown about Caravaggio s young life, but it

Caravaggio got into an altercation with a police officer that led to the officer getting

The Success Of Apollo 11

dominant nation. Apollo 11 was the first successful manned mission to the moon.
Our first astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, played an important role in
this mission. Having to be in space for about a week and pilot the spacecraft safely
to the moonand back to Earth was a dangerous mission. With little time to pass
Armstrong and Aldrin had to record their first steps on the moon, take close and far

success expressed the U.S. s superiority over the Soviet Union. Several events led to
the creation of Apollo 11 and its success. Beginning with the Cold Warand the Arms

Also the whole nanny situation was a lie, after detectives went to the apartment
complex where supposable Zenaida Fernandez lived records showed that no one
by that name had ever been a resident there. The next lie discovered was Casey s
employment, she was actually unemployed and not working at Universal studios
like she stated. Records show that she worked there years back but was fired.
Detectives saw no ambition in Casey trying to find her daughter, Casey was a liar
and never did she show any type of emotions of suffering while talking to the
detectives. The biggest concern to police was Why Caylee was reported missing until
a month after she was last seen?
Weeks before the call, the vehicle Casey had been driving was found abandoned.
The tow truck driver who found the vehicle told officers that the vehicle had a
smell as if something had been decomposing. The tow truck driver compared the
smell to a similar situation where he found an abandoned truck with a dead man s
body laying inside. Along with the horrible smell inside the vehicle; hair and a
black plastic bag were found in the trunk of the car. Also found was what it seemed to
be blood. On July 16 Casey Anthony was charged with first degree murder, child
neglect, aggravated child abuse and four counts of lying to detectives. On December

Performance Indicators are measurements of how well the program did with
providing a particular service to a class member. Ordinarily, these high rates
consistently lead to the agency s failure to comply with the policy. Therefore, the
program is presently seeking to lower the compliance rates and hopes to change
timeliness indicators as these changes would drastically strengthen the policy. The
program feels that as long as the service is provided to a class member before he/she
is released to the community, timeliness should not be a factor.
As mentioned earlier, social workers (on a micro level) are responsible for
providing appropriate referrals for continuity of care. Referrals must be
appropriately documented and they must make sense to the reader. Class members
who are in need of a higher level of care must be provided with such referrals as the
community s safety depends on such resources.
It is imperative that social workers on a macro level continue to implement policies
and procedures that would better service the client population. According to the
New York City Department of Corrections (2017) there were 54.4% African

The Importance Of Colors In Gilead
Imagery, particularly when describing beautiful colors before Gilead and
contrasting them with the dull colors described in Gilead reveal how drastically
life has changed. Offred mentions that in the past when she took her daughter to
get ice cream, everything was colored so delicately, pale orange, pale green, pale
pink and that her daughter, dressed in similar ice cream pastels would choose her
treat by the color (Atwood 165). In life before Gilead, colors were vivid and
cheerful, something to make objects more enjoyable to look at. People could wear
whatever color they please, and colors had no additional meaning to them other
than to show people had freedom to make their own decisions. However, in Gilead,
color imagery shows the lack of decision and the rigid societal structure the
government imposes. Each group has their own colors even in minor aspects of
life, such as with umbrellas categorized as black, for the Commander, blue, for the
Commander s Wife, and the one assigned to [Offred], which is red (Atwood 9).
Each color labels members of the society as part of a certain category and defines
their roles without further consideration. Here, colors serve as a way to restrict
peoples freedoms unlike when colors previously served as way to enhance freedom
of choice and expression. In Gilead, The women... are color coded to strip them of
their individual identities and to mark their social status and relationships to men

HP have been contributing in the field of network architecture, SDN, BYOD

companies are coming up with various network monitoring analysis tools. But these
tools are restricted in giving the network topology and traffic analysis. Further such
tools are too costly. Still such tools have huge demand in the market, as it simplifies
the network management process by a great deal. Also with the expansion of
Software Defined Network, network analysis space is gaining a tremendous amount
of importance since such tools are needed to refine the network performance. For
example, Birch Communications is planning to develop a real time monitoring tool

SolarWinds, Juniper Network and many more are constantly striving hard to make
progress in this perspective. Business Concept: The idea of developing such product
that automates routing and helps in analyzing network came from the troubles that a
network administrator had to face in resolving network issues in the backbone of the
Internet. External Gateway Protocol (EGP) are incapable of adjusting to the network
anomalies easily. Moreover, hackers can also introduce delays, loops that affect the
network connectivity and operations. Hence to resolve these issues at faster rate the

Jesus Should Live A Hidden Life
If the Holy Spirit asked you to step away from your public platform of ministry and
into a hidden life before God alone, would you do it? If you agreed to live the
hidden life for a period of time and then were later presented with the option of
regaining the spotlight in ministry, which lifestyle would you choose? Rees Howells
was faced with these very decisions while his ministry was thriving. As Rees Howells
grew in his relationship with Jesus, Rees began to remove his cap when he prayed
because he consistently felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spiritwith him.
In Wales during this time, however, everyone was expected to wear a hat or some
sort of head covering outside. Because Rees often did not wear a hat outdoors, the

Just as Rees had lived away from the spotlight for a time, the majority of Jesus life
was not lived before people; His public ministry lasted only for three years of His
life. Jesus spent the majority of His life in secret, living before the Father just as
Rees had done. Additionally, in the same manner that Rees brought others needs
before the Throne, Jesus also represents us before our Father as our Intercessor.
The second reason that Rees should have continued to live a hidden life is that he
spent more time with Jesus. When Rees had decided to continue living in the secret
place, the Holy Spirit invited him to spend his entire days sitting in God s presence
and talking with Him. Because Rees devoted his days to the Lord, he experienced
such sweet fellowship with Him. By continually worshipping and growing in his
faith, Rees made the most of his time and spent it well.
The third reason that Rees should have continued his hidden lifestyle is that he was
set apart. Making the decision to continue living a hidden life is not what most
would have decided to do; it is not in our nature. Because Rees decided to continue
this lifestyle, some thought that he was foolish. Rees s walk of faith would not and
should not look like anyone else s; therefore, he should not compare his life with
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Wavelets
Wavelets, based on time scale representations, provide an alternative to time
frequency representation based signal processing. Wavelets are then represented by
dilation equations, as opposed to difference or differential equations. Wavelets
maintain orthogonality with respect to their dilations and translations. Orthogonality
of wavelets with respect to dilations leads to multigrid representation. Wavelets
decompose the signal at one level of approximation into approximation and detail
signals at the next level. Thus subsequent levels can add more detail to the
information content. The perfect reconstruction property of the analysis and
synthesis wavelets and the absence of perceptual degradation at the block boundaries

The same procedure is adapted to obtain one level 2 D DWT by using two vertical
filters as shown in Fig. 1. Implementation results are discussed in section 4. The
advantage of flipping method is it requires only four multipliers and eight adders
instead of eight multipliers and four adders to implement 9/7 filter compare to lifting
scheme. Main disadvantage of flipping is serial operation. In 1 D DWT of FA, odd
and even input samples are processed by five blocks namely пЃЎ, пЃў, пЃ§, пЃ¤,
пЃёпЂ (пЃё1 пЃё2)in the cascade manner.пЃё1 пЃё2are scaling blocks. Since the
output from one block is fed as the input to the next block, the maximum rate at
which the input can be fed to the system depends on the sum of the delays in all
four stages. The speed may be increased by introducing pipelining at the points
indicated by dotted lines Fig.3. In this case, the input rate is determined by the
largest delay among all four blocks. The delay in the individual stages may be
reduced further by using constant coefficient multiplier (KCM) which uses a look up
table (LUT) for finding the product of a constant and a variable. 2.2 Modified
Flipping Architecture Modified flipping architecture (MFA) is implemented using
MBW PKCM technique.
Essay On The Importance Of Bilingualism
The Importance of Bilingualism The room smelled of old age and use. Comfy
chairs seated 47 individuals ranging from ages 15 to 60. The main organizer,
Brother Yuri, stood at the head of the oval shaped table. ВЁNow that I ve told you
what to expect, we need to discuss interpreters. Who here knows how to speak
Spanish? Questioned Brother Yuri at our weekly missionary meeting. 47 sets of
eyes stared blankly at him. No one raised their hand. Being able to speak spanish is
crucial for our trip. How are you guys going to communicate with the families?
How will you get the messages across if you cannot speak Spanish? He constantly
berated us to spend some time and try to learn Spanish. We were, after all going to
Mexico. But no one really understood how important it was to be able to speak
more than one language. Being able to speak Spanish was an imperative aspect of
our trip, as is being bilingual in America. The use of multiple languages should be
embraced and accepted in a culture rather than be driven into the ground and quelled.
In their essays on bilingualism in the United States, both Martin Espada and Richard
Rodrigues state their definitions of bilingualism. According to Martin Espada,
bilingualism is the idea that speaking another language encompases your culture,
traditions, and that it should be done freely and without reservations. However,
Richard Rodrigues stands firm in his belief, which happens to be different from
Espada s. According to Rodriguez, in order

THE GREAT PYRAMID of Pharaoh Khufu
CONCLUSION

This essay focuses on two different types of pyramids; the Step pyramid which was
the first pyramid and the Great pyramid, which was the largest pyramid built in
Egypt. The essay investigates the meaning of the selected forms for the Egyptian
culture and explains their dialog with the cosmos.
The architecture of ancient Egypt is one of the most important civilizations in history,
which developed of different structures and great architectural monuments along the

Then he achieved building the first pyramid by placing large series of stone on top
of each other.
Arnold states, From the earliest 3rd dynasty step pyramids in Egypt that they were
built with accreditation walls or layers . [3] The accreditation layers were sloped
inside at an angle. It was probably done to provide structural durability. Each part of
the pyramid between two steps is referred to as a mastaba. Each accreditation wall
or layer shaped one step of the step pyramid and defined the base of the next mastaba
by reducing the height of the wall layer by layer. [3]
Intended to hold his mummified body, Pharaoh Djoser s Step Pyramid at Saqqara
began as a traditional, flat roofed mastaba. But by the end of his 19 year reign, in
2611 B.C.E, it had risen to six stepped layers and stood 62 meters high. It was the
largest building of its time. Extensive use of stone, wood, reeds, or other materials
made the tomb more durable than its mud brick structure. The Step Pyramid
complex was enclosed by a 10 meters wall and included courtyards, temples, and
chapels covering nearly 40 acres (16 hectares) the size of a large town in the third
millennium B.C.
As in earlier mastaba tombs, the Step Pyramid s burial chambers were underground,
hidden in a maze of tunnels. However the tomb was stolen, and only left from the
third king of Egypt s 3rd dynasty, Djoser is his mummified left foot.

Why Is Jfk Assassination Important
The assassination of JFK was a historic moment in US history because he was the
president of the united states and he had been shot on his way to a speech in
Dallas, Texas. This always shows us what can really happen and how people are
crazy. He had ended up dying in the hospital that he had been rushed to. At the time
JFK had been the president and after he died his brother ended up being the
president and had been assassinated as well. JFK had been assassinated on

Case study assessment.
A 47 year old female patient attends a Birmingham podiatry clinic with callus and
heloma durum presenting on the plantar surface of the 1st MTPJ of the left foot. The
patient is generally fit and well, and requires routine treatment.
To enable the podiatrist to treat callus and corn, they must first understand the
biological process that leads to the pathology. Callus, or hyperkeratosis, a diffuse area

superficial layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum, and reduced desquamation

What Is The Best Pool Basketball Essay
Best Pool Basketball Hoop
Summer time means time spent in swimming pools. It is a great way to stay in
shape, cool off, and have a great time. It is something that everyone looks forward
to if they have a pool in their yard. They wait on it to get warm enough to get in and
then when the water temperature hits go then everyone runs to dive in. The
problem is, after that first dive, the enjoyment loses a little something and by mid
summer, barely anyone is thrilled to get in. If that is the way it works in your home
as well, it may be time to consider ways to add fun to your swimming pool so that
your family can enjoy the great outdoors for the entire summer.
Bring On Summer Fun
One of the easiest ways to add fun to your swimming pool is to add a basketball
hoop. These hoops are Amazon approved and fun for the entire family. They can
turn any pool area into a game that is fun for everyone, even those who may not be
able to swim well enough to play a lot of the other pool games. Are you ready to have
a swimming pool basketball hoop? If so, check out these pool hoops to see which one
will work best for your family.

Straight Out of Compton is based on the true story about six troubled some young

The movie Straight Out of Compton is an intense rollercoaster of chaos and

At the time of the attack, there were approximately eighty different vessels in the

minelayer, five auxiliary craft, and over 400 aircraft present at Pearl Harbor

USS Enterprise was approximately 150 miles West of Pearl Harbor, the USS
Saratoga was still in San Diego, California, and the USS Lexington was at sea in
the vicinity of Midway Island (Yarnall, 2003). The Japanese Imperial Navy forces

Social Strain Theory And Rational Choice Theory In...
Criminology is an interdisciplinary science that gathers and analyzes data on crime
and criminal behavior. As I learned about criminology I learned that there are
several theories that come along with it. The two theories in criminology that
stood out the most to me were social strain theory and rational choice theory. These
theories stood out to me because I felt like these were two that I can truly see how
the people who developed them came about. Social strain theory was created by
Robert Merton in the 1940s. Robert Merton is a very famous sociologist who
accomplished a lot throughout his career. He spent a lot of his time studying at
Colombia University. He also was the first sociologist that received a National Medal
of Science Award. Merton came up with the strain theory as an explanation as to why
crimerate was so high. Rational choice theorywas created by Ronald Clarke and
Derek Cornish. Ronald Clarke was a professor who severed as a dean at the School of
Criminal Justice. He was there was longer than a decade. Clarke also had a very
successful career. An important and most noted part of his career is him being given
the highest award in criminology. The highest awards was the Stockholm Prize in
Criminology. Clarke has also written several books and help developed several
things in Britain s government. Cornish worked in the department of social science
at London School of Economics. Rational choice theory was created to explain why
and how every human who commits a crime is faced with a choice.
Theory A
Social Strain Theory is one of the many theories in criminology. According to our
textbook, the definition of social strain theory better known as strain theory is that
crime is generated from the acceptance of middle class values that emphasize
financial success while certain segments of the population are restricted from
attaining monetary success by legitimate means. Essentially this means that
everybody does not have the same opportunities. It means that sometimes people do
want to achieve more but it hard for them. As you grow, one of the main things you
are taught as a child is the American Dream. The dream that tells you one day you
will be successful with a family and good job to support.

the sports world to adopt a zero tolerance policy for athletes who break the law.

Social Status is an individual s position in a stratified social order (Conley A 11).
In other words certain people maybe look at athletes differently because they play
a sport, and because of there accomplishments. Kids look them at as role models;
they are heroes by younger athletes, and as a positive image to the human race. And
once people see professional and college athletes commit a crime or do something
wrong they are not setting a good example. Every sport is getting more and more
strict with a zero tolerance policy; it has not been stopping the players from
committing the crimes, but only resulting in more and more suspensions. In 1993,
Charles Barkley said in his famous Nike ad, I am not a role model. I am not paid to

He was a store associate in the lawn and garden department who had worked at

percent of items purchased while shopping we re not on their lists, and we re bought

In the study mentioned above by Spool (2011), a major driver of impulse
purchases is the use of the category links on the website. Certain designs led
shoppers to find products through category links rather than the sites search
engines. When shoppers used these categories, they were far more likely to make
impulse purchases than when they used the search engines. In the study, 87% of
the dollars spent on impulse purchases resulted from users navigating the site by
the category links. Users spent the remaining 13% of the money after navigating
via the sites search engines. If a visitor sees a popular products section or a
clearance banner on a site, those are the things they are most likely going to click.
Even if they went to the site looking for a particular product, this strategy is usually
taken advantage of. Many retailers put a may we suggest section on each and
every product page with items that are relevant to what the customer was looking
for, and this is also very enticing. Other ways online pages encourage impulsive
purchases is with the use of things such as time sensitive sales. This can be sales
such as Memorial Day sales, deal of the day, or just random clearance sales. It doesn
t matter what the occasion is, making a banner that says something like Sale ends at
Midnight! will encourage people to click the link, venture further into the store, and

informed. When a patient refuses in the nursing home its always best to give the
patients a little time and then come back to them and maybe once they get

in newborns. Infants born with Harlequin ichthyosis are covered in thick plate like

the eyelids and lips to turn inside out, revealing the red inner linings. The chest and
abdomen of the infant are severely restricted by the tightness of the skin, making
breathing and eating difficult. The hands are typically small, swollen, and partially

The parents of an affected baby are carriers and will have a one in four risk of any
future baby of that they decide to have being similarly affected. Harlequin
ichthyosis cannot be prevented but it is possible to diagnose or recognize it early
in pregnancy by removing some of the amniotic fluid that is surrounding the
developing fetus to identify if there is a mutation in ABCA12. It is also likely that
pre implantation diagnosis may be available in the near future. Pre implantation
testing is a way to look even earlier into the genes of the developing embryo. In pre
implantation diagnosis a normally fertile couple will choose to undergo in vitro
fertilization and then test each of the embryos for a genetic disease, in this case
harlequin ichthyosis, before they are transferred to the mother s womb. Pre
implantation diagnosis is difficult, costly and not widely available, but is still an
exciting possibility. The finding of a gene for harlequin ichthyosis may also allow
development in the future of a specific treatment to replace the missing protein in
the upper layers of the skin in this disease. The main characteristics of harlequin
ichthyosis include thickening of the keratin layer in fetal human skin. A baby born
with this skin related medical condition will possess very hard, thick skin which
covers the most portions of the body. The skin contains large scales shaped like
diamonds, which tend to have a red, pinkish color. The condition also usually
involves abnormal contractions of the ears, eyes, and the movement of legs and arms
is usually limited due to the condition. In some cases the condition may also involve
restricted movement of the chest, which usually ends in lots of different breathing
difficulties that often resort in respiratory failure. Normal skin folds easily, but the
skin of an infant affected by harlequin ichthyosis develops cracks at those areas of the
body. Various

World War I, lasted until November 11th, 1918 and resulted in the deaths of over

Even for men, who were qualified for such educational opportunities, being
engulfed in the work force by their early teens, meant they too were not able to take
advantage of a further education. Feminism, a movement that began in the late
1840s began to recirculate into the lives of many modern women. They were
striving to earn the many basic rights present to men such as the right to vote, and
more opportunities to furthering education and access to jobs. This perseverance
and determination led to an increase in employed women in the United States from
2.6 million to 7.8 million during the late 1800s to early 1900s. Even though
women were being employed, and were given the opportunity to work, they still
would not be eligible for more laborious and higher paying positions, all of these

soon became aware of their power in groups, and seeked to form unions in various

The ICD 10 system is not a perfect one. While it seems like a marked upgrade from
the previous system in terms of accuracy and efficiency, it also can be excessively
complicated and heavily affected insurance reimbursements, potential costing the

it easier to collect and convey important data quickly, enhancing patient care. The
improved data collection will help providers and physicians improve procedures and

Boyz N The Hood Analysis
Boyz N the Hood YANSHUN QIU 0147562 Criminology 101 2017 Geri E.
Bemister Boyz N the Hood (1991) tells the story of three young African American
boys, Trey, Ricky and Doughboy, growing up in a lower class neighborhood in
South Central Los Angeles. The movie is based off the life o a young black man
living with his mom and moving to Watts, California to live with his dad. The
movie brings friendship, parenthood, violence, and revenge into one concept of how
parts of the country are. This paper will mainly discuss two theories, Anomie/Strain
Theory and Labelling theory, can explain the deviant behavior of the characters in
the movie Boyz in the Hood . Pieces of knowledge tell that violence is like a cycle

And at the end, it is revealed that Doughboy is murdered two weeks later in
retaliation. All these scenes bring out Anomie/Strain Theory, which espresses that
Anomie is a state of deregulation, breakdown, or normlessness in society, usually
attributed to decreased homogeneity , especially fit one of Durkheim s thesis
where social order breaks down and social norms lose their influence, anomie
develops and crime increases significantly (John A. Winterdyk, 2015, p175). In this
movie, Trey has walked on the edge of crime many times, but he always made the
right decisions in the end. Trey could walk on the right path of his life is mainly
because of his father. Trey s father, is a financial adviser, and a persuasive dispenser
of advice to his son. He makes Trey a right outlook on life. His strict, but loving
discipline, stands in stark contrast to that in the home of Ricky and Doughboy. It is
through morals and values that people such as Trey don t become strained by
society because his father guides him. Make a contrast that when Doughboy and
Trey, deciding to take revenge on the local gang who killed Ricky (Boyz N the
Hood, 1991). However, when the decision has to be made that whether or not to
continue, Trey has realized that it s not worth risking his life and stay in jail in his
last life. Unfortunately for Doughboy, he has made the decision to continue with the
shooting, he therefore becomes a huge risk
The Laramie Project, By Moses Kaufman Essay
Introduction
Moses Kaufman is the producer of the successful play The Laramie Project after a
horrific incident that occurred in Laramie. Members of the artistic group of
Kaufman s, traveled to Laramie to find out more about the horrific incidence. The
main aim of the whole project was to find the emotions, reactions, and reflections
that the people of Laramie manifested concerning the beating and subsequent death
of a twenty three year old college student (Gale, 2016). A lot of questions were
raised concerning the death as people had different point of views. Some thought it
was a hate crime, others thought it was just a brutal assault or a form of robbery.
Four hundred interviews were conducted so as to come up with the reasons behind
the brutal murder straight from the town folks. The main issue was how
homosexuality was defined in the crime. The Laramie Project, questioned the rights of
the LGBT+ group. For example, why were Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and
Transgenders discriminated by the community and the society as a whole even
though their rights were constitutional?
Context
From the play, Matthew Shepard a college student at the University of Wyoming
was tied up in a cattle fence. The student was majoring in political science and was
believed to be gay, and he did not like hiding the fact that he is one. Matthew was
free and open. In one cold night, in October, Matthew was brutally beaten up in the
head, robbed and later tied up on a fence and was left to stay

Cave Paintings
The part of the reading that had me most engaged and interested was the section on
the cave paintings done by the early humans. The way that they painted these images
were just so intricate and with so much detail, it had me in awe. The fact that some
of these animals seemed to be drawn in motion gives me the inclination that it was
something more meaningful than drawing for the sake of making art, a lot of time
and effort must have been spent on this for it not to have some sort of human
meaning. In the reading, it says that the one drawing that was thought to be of sick or
injured bison were actually depicting the mating dance and rituals of these majestic
creatures. In the reading it says the meanings of these paintings could have been
Standalize Test
How do teachers help children understand concepts and ideas instead of focusing on
rote memorization? How do they make learning active and multimodal?
I notice in my observation that teachers try to make sure students gain a good
understanding of the concepts so they can apply it. Teachers try to activate student
prior knowledge and build upon the knowledge, which can help in understanding the
concepts. I think standalize test are a type of rote memorization since it focuses on
students just knowing the materials in a way they just to pass instead of
understanding and applying it. Also standalize test does not give enough time to
teach the concept. Teachers try for students to practice what they learn several of
times. For example, the teacher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Teachers ask question to active prior knowledge and then build upon that knowledge.
For, example teachers use a lot of KWL charts to ask student what they know, which
helps them understand their background knowledge and guide them towards their
lesson.
How do teachers encourage students to brainstorm, plan and produce ideas and
materials as they learn? I notice that teachers encourage students to brainstorm, plan
and produce ideas and materials by first allowing them work on a simple exercise
before they actually can start to something more complex. I have observed that
teachers encourage them by providing examples. Teachers tries to guide students to
solving the problems by giving them hints that enables them to think about the
problem.
How do teachers deepen children s learning?
Teachers help deepen children s learning by proving hand on activities and real life
experiences that students can applied to the real world. Provide students multiples
ways of learning, visual, kinestic, tactile and auditory. Teachers try to engage children
in active participation and provide multiple modalities. One important thing I notice
as a teacher is that to deepen children s learning you must first learn about their
backgrounds, Interest and
Dance Music and Moral Panic
ME5331ass2 Discuss one of the ideas of the following writers in relation to
popular music culture: Stanley Cohen. You may use a case study approach in your
answer. Scholars such as Rietveld suggest that; The British Culture has a long
history in regulating pleasures associated with parties. A fear seems to exist of the
unregulated body that dances and is intoxicated...It is therefore not surprising that
the acid house parties; that heady mix of house n E events in 1998, were followed
by various moral panics. (Rietveld, 1998, pp. 253 4.) The dance music genre that
became popularised in the late 1980s led to the media amplification and
misunderstanding regarding issues surrounding drug misuse as well as the creation of
a moral panic... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Crass also joined the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) in order to work
alongside while doing gigs and raising awareness of socio political issues. It could
be theorised that many other bands such as Conflict and Flux of Pink Indians also
adopted the anarcho punk style as part of their ideology recognising it as a socio
political ideal rather than a means to gain further popularity. It can be theorised that
the intention of anarcho punk is to deteriorate government or outside oppression.
They challenge capitalism suggesting that the economic system itself is problematic
and simply a way of producing profit through social hierarchies. In regards to Cohen
s theoretical assumptions regarding societal panic the aforementioned genre of
anrcho punk can be used as an example of how a misunderstood sub culture within a
popular music genre can be demonised and seen as the cause of the moral and socio
political problems within society. During the emergence of the punk movement those
involved in the culture were perceived by the media as being dangerous and violent
thugs who threatened the established moral system within civilized societies through
lyrical content that directly challenged the status quo. This is evident for example in

Pet Ownership In Australia
Introduction
In 2013, Australia has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world, with
more than 5 million household out of 7.6 million households in Australia owning a
pet (Animal Health Alliance, 2013). The most common pet owned by households in
Australia are dogs, where an estimated 4.2 million pets in Australia are dogs (Animal
Health Alliance, 2013). Due to the high companion animal ownership rates and the
need to attend to the welfare of pets, companion animal veterinary services are in
demand among pet owning households. Pet owners spend approximately $1.7
billion on veterinary services a year which include visit to the veterinarian for
vaccination, general check up, dentistry and de sexing (Animal Health Alliance,
2013). De sexing a companion animal is defined as a surgical procedure intended
to permanently remove gonads of the pet and is considered a routine medical
procedure that involves visits to a veterinarian (Cocia Rusu, 2010). The de sexing
rates are relatively high in Australia, with 78% of dogs de sexed (Animal Health
Alliance, 2013).

While previous studies have focused mainly on the attitudes and enabling and
disabling factors that influence the decision of owners in de sexing their dogs, this
is the first study to investigate the experiences of pet owners in having their dog de
sexed. Moreover, limited studies regarding this topic has been conducted in
Australia. Findings from this study will inform the veterinary profession regarding
client perspectives on having a dog de sexed. These findings are significant as
veterinarians are considered to be the most important source of information regarding
companion animals hence play a valuable role in educating pet owners (Animal

Conclusion On Oceanography
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.The term given to the study of oceans and seas
is called oceanography or oceanology. As an organized science, oceanography is
comparatively new, but men have been familiar with the seas from time
immemorial. The earliest human settlements were on the banks of large rivers. The
Tigris, the Euphrates, the Nile and the Indus were witnesses to early human
civilizations. The people living on the river banks soon discovered the immense
expanse of the oceans, for all the streams and rivers of the land invariably flowed to
their natural destination the seas and the oceans. This led to the establishment of
human civilizations along the seashores as well, particularly in the tropical and
subtropical areas of the world.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Man s early efforts in the conquest of seas were humble. It must have been a great
achievement for early man to reach a nearby island on a piece of log in search of
fresh fruits and nuts. It must also have been a great adventure when some of them
would have settled down on the island in permanent shelters. The inventions and
subsequent application of such devices as traps, hooks, lines and nets for
capturing fish and other forms of marine life were great innovative strides in the
conquest of the seas. Fishing was far less hazardous and much more paying than
hunting animals in wild forests. Living was also definitely more pleasant and safer
near the seashores than in the interior woodlands where dangerous animals
abounded. Man soon learned to engage himself, on regular basis, in fishing and
other maritime occupations. More important, he learned to sail across the seas to
distant lands in search of food and fortune. Timber and bamboo were extensively
used by early man for his uncharted travels in the sea. Sail boats carried early man
to distant lands with the help of sea breezes and thus making the horizons wider for
him as he was no more bound to the land of is birth. He could explore newer lands
and human migrations across once inaccessible seas became a common

an article that sales are down due to the current state of the economy: We had

Richard Schulze said in a statement. But, he added, I remain confident that we are

Executive Order Banning Immigrants
President Donald J. Trump has issued an executive order that has banned immigrants
from entering the United States of America. Enacting this prohibition would damage
America s reputation as the melting pot that we once were. A group of presidents of
leading American colleges and universities wrote a letter urging Donald Trump to
rectify the recent executive order. The authors use different strategies such as ethos,
emotional appeal, and logos to persuade Donald J. Trump to rectify the executive
order banning immigrants from the United States. The authors establish credibility for
themselves using ethos. They state that they are the presidents of leading American
colleges and universities which effectively demonstrates their integrity as leaders of
the nation s most prestigious institutions. The reputation they assert early in the letter
identifies them as highly reliable and upright, thus validating that that their opinions
are worth regard. Additionally, the letter is signed by numerous presidents and
chancellors of respected schools around America. This helped argue the writers point
because their argument was supported by the most respected and intelligent
individuals in our society. The authors of this letter use emotional appeal... Show

The authors state that this executive order is hurting America because it prevents
talented, law abiding students and scholars from the affected regions from reaching
our campuses . This means that the affected scholars who s innovations and
scholarship have enhanced American learning are not able to return to the U.S. and
enrich the American society. This supports the argument of the students because it
gave a rational reason proving that if the ban continues, then those students and
scholars won t be able to be in America to influence Americas educational, scientific,

My Experience Of My Life
Waiting at the bach I wait for the family to turn up. The sun is shining on the lake

to myself on how great and peaceful this holiday is going to be. As the siblings turn
up it becomes more exciting and eventful. All the plans of what we are going to do,
get thrown around, everyone is smiling with enjoyment and laughter. Butterflies in
my stomach are going crazy, flying everywhere, I stop and wonder where dad could

doctors come over and start explaining that his lungs are too weak to work on their

Essay About Houston

Prof. Andrew Tolle
ENGL 1301 41028
17 September 2017 Houstonians A poem written by South Carolina pastor, Jeremy
Rutledge has given readers a lot to think about. The poem was composed after the
great Hurricane Harvey tragedy in Houston. In his poem Rutledge mentions the word
pray many times but the meaning of it goes way beyond that. When praying for
something it is important to know the aspects and struggles of it, and that is exactly
what Rutledge is doing in this poem, stating all the things that make Houston
unique, diverse, and capable to rise from it all. Throughout the entire poem
Rutledge suggests just how diverse Houston is. For instance, the lines, pray like
you re sitting over Soup at Spanish Flowers or pho at Mai s steaming your glasses

diversity. For example, Spanish Flowers is a Mexican restaurant ... Show more

Houston itself. Rutledge also implies that like BeyoncГ© Houston can rise from
nothing. Along the same lines, Rutledge says you can fill up our bayou but you
will never rain on our parade . Meaning Hurricane Harvey can rain and flood their
river but never lower their spirits. Just like BeyoncГ© fell many times but stayed
strong and rose from it all. BeyoncГ© is an outstanding example to universalize and

Importance Of Women Education Essay.pdf

  • 1. Importance Of Women Education Essay Writing an essay on the importance of women's education can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies not in the lack of information or significance of the topic but rather in the responsibility to address a multifaceted issue with the depth and nuance it deserves. To begin with, one must navigate through historical contexts, societal norms, and cultural intricacies that have shaped the trajectory of women's education. Analyzing the evolution of women's educational rights and the persistent struggles for equality demands careful research and a nuanced understanding of gender dynamics. Furthermore, delving into the present-day scenario requires a comprehensive exploration of the various challenges women face in accessing education globally. Socioeconomic factors, discriminatory practices, and cultural barriers all play a role in shaping the educational landscape for women. Tackling these issues in an essay requires a delicate balance between presenting the stark realities and maintaining an optimistic outlook for change. Crafting a compelling argument for the importance of women's education also involves addressing the broader societal benefits. It's not merely about individual empowerment but about the positive ripple effects on communities and economies when women are educated. Communicating this interconnectedness necessitates a clear and persuasive writing style. Moreover, the essay should be inclusive and consider the intersectionality of women's experiences. Recognizing that factors such as race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status intersect with gender in shaping educational opportunities adds another layer of complexity to the writing process. In conclusion, writing an essay on the importance of women's education requires a careful navigation through historical, cultural, and contemporary nuances. Balancing the portrayal of challenges with a hopeful vision for the future and addressing the intersectionality of women's experiences demands a thoughtful and informed approach. If you need assistance with essays on this or similar topics, you may consider seeking help from professional writing services like HelpWriting.net, where you can order essays and more tailored to your specific needs. • 2. The Role Of Internal Audit Departments On The Business... T auditors frequently find themselves educating the business community on how their work adds value to an organization. Internal audit departments commonly have an IT audit component which is deployed with a clear perspective on its role in an organization. However, in our experience as IT auditors, the wider business community needs to understand the IT audit function in order to realize the maximum benefit. In this context, we are publishing this brief overview of the specific benefits and added value provided by an IT audit. To be specific, IT audits may cover a wide range of IT processing and communication infrastructure such as client server systems and networks, operating systems, security systems, software applications, web services, databases, telecom infrastructure, change management procedures and disaster recovery planning. The sequence of a standard audit starts with identifying risks, then assessing the design of controls and finally testing the effectiveness of the controls. Skillful auditors can add value in each phase of the audit. Companies generally maintain an IT audit function to provide assurance on technology controls and to ensure regulatory compliance with federal or industry specific requirements. As investments in technology grow, IT auditingcan provide assurance that risks are controlled and that huge losses are not likely. An organization may also determine that a high risk of outage, security threat or vulnerability exists. There may also be
  • 3. Federal Student Loans Research Paper Many a young person has gone into teaching as a way to escape poverty only to find that, as a teacher, he or she suffers under a substantial student loan debt. But can that young person have some or all of that debt forgiven for teaching? At this time, a student can receive one of two types of federal student loans: Federal Perkins Loans and Stafford loans. Stafford loans are obtained either from a private lender under the Federal Family Education LoanProgram or directly from the federal government under the Federal Direct Loan Program. For many years now, students have been able to cancel Federal Perkins Loans for their teaching service. The criteria for cancellation are outlined in the promissory note the student signs before he or she... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I am not even able to say exactly how much I owe. All I know is, I make nowhere near enough to pay it back. An article from About.com reports that over a lifetime, people with a high school diploma earn $1.2 million dollars, while people with a Bachelor s degree earn $2.1 million, and people with a Master s degree earn $2.5 million. Good news! I have a Bachelor s degree! And I almost have a Master s! And yet, I am still not feeling very confident no, not at all confident that I can pay this back. Being able to follow the career of my dreams is worth it. The education is worth it too, I am convinced of that. If I did not have the opportunity to stick my head up out of the daily grind and dabble in academic activities, I d be drowning. Unfortunately, I am drowning anyway, but in money instead. There is one small light at the end of my tunnel, but it is getting smaller year by year. Most of my student loan debt as is most of everyone s student loan debt is in Stafford and Perkins loans. There is a program offered by the government that allows me to have my loans completely forgiven 100% taken away! All I have to do is...well, a lot. It works like this. I am studying to become a teacher, so when I graduate with my teaching certificate, I have to make sure I get hired by a low income school. That is not so hard, really, since to be low income a school only has to have a certain percentage of students who qualify
  • 4. Aar 14-1 Airplane History Paper Aircraft and Flight History AAR 14 01 was published by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on June 24th 2014. It is the Aircraft accident report for Asiana Airlines flight 214, from Inchon, South Korea to San Francisco, California. The flight was scheduled to be a 10 hour and 34 minute flight across the Pacific Ocean. The NTSB noted that the commander placed an officer in charge of the fire attack that had not received proper training. The crew had equipment that had not been utilized to its fullest potential, particularly the high reach extendable turrets. The airport also failed to deploy its two emergency medical busses to the scene. There was also an apparent communications break down. The NTSB also noted that there was a lack of communication between the SFO airport rescue crew and local city dispatchers, hampering rescue efforts by local agencies. CRM Factors There were several factors that relate to Crew Resource Management (CRM). Notably the inability of the crew to maintain their situational awareness during the approach. The crew became so task saturated in the approach glide path that they ignored the throttle settings until it was too late to recover. Failure to monitor their airspeed, while focusing on the approach path contributed as well. Fatigue of the crew, and mismanagement of their afforded rest periods also contributed to the incident. The most rested member in the flight station was the pilot monitoring with 3 hours of sleep in the previous 24

Performance Indicators are measurements of how well the program did with providing a particular service to a class member. Ordinarily, these high rates consistently lead to the agency s failure to comply with the policy. Therefore, the program is presently seeking to lower the compliance rates and hopes to change timeliness indicators as these changes would drastically strengthen the policy. The program feels that as long as the service is provided to a class member before he/she is released to the community, timeliness should not be a factor. As mentioned earlier, social workers (on a micro level) are responsible for providing appropriate referrals for continuity of care. Referrals must be appropriately documented and they must make sense to the reader. Class members who are in need of a higher level of care must be provided with such referrals as the community s safety depends on such resources. It is imperative that social workers on a macro level continue to implement policies and procedures that would better service the client population. The Importance Of Colors In Gilead Imagery, particularly when describing beautiful colors before Gilead and contrasting them with the dull colors described in Gilead reveal how drastically life has changed. Offred mentions that in the past when she took her daughter to get ice cream, everything was colored so delicately, pale orange, pale green, pale pink and that her daughter, dressed in similar ice cream pastels would choose her treat by the color (Atwood 165). In life before Gilead, colors were vivid and cheerful, something to make objects more enjoyable to look at. People could wear whatever color they please, and colors had no additional meaning to them other than to show people had freedom to make their own decisions. However, in Gilead, color imagery shows the lack of decision and the rigid societal structure the government imposes. Each group has their own colors even in minor aspects of life, such as with umbrellas categorized as black, for the Commander, blue, for the Commander s Wife, and the one assigned to [Offred], which is red (Atwood 9). Each color labels members of the society as part of a certain category and defines their roles without further consideration. Here, colors serve as a way to restrict peoples freedoms unlike when colors previously served as way to enhance freedom of choice and expression. Market Research: In recent times, many companies are coming up with various network monitoring analysis tools. But these tools are restricted in giving the network topology and traffic analysis. Further such tools are too costly. Still such tools have huge demand in the market, as it simplifies the network management process by a great deal. Also with the expansion of Software Defined Network, network analysis space is gaining a tremendous amount of importance since such tools are needed to refine the network performance. For example, Birch Communications is planning to develop a real time monitoring tool (SAM) to assist its customer for network analysis. Similarly, various companies like SolarWinds, Juniper Network and many more are constantly striving hard to make progress in this perspective. Business Concept: The idea of developing such product that automates routing and helps in analyzing network came from the troubles that a network administrator had to face in resolving network issues in the backbone of the Internet. External Gateway Protocol (EGP) are incapable of adjusting to the network anomalies easily. Moreover, hackers can also introduce delays, loops that affect the network connectivity and operations. Hence to resolve these issues at faster rate the network administrator requires a

If you agreed to live the hidden life for a period of time and then were later presented with the option of regaining the spotlight in ministry, which lifestyle would you choose? Rees Howells was faced with these very decisions while his ministry was thriving. As Rees Howells grew in his relationship with Jesus, Rees began to remove his cap when he prayed because he consistently felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spiritwith him. Just as Rees had lived away from the spotlight for a time, the majority of Jesus life was not lived before people; His public ministry lasted only for three years of His life. Jesus spent the majority of His life in secret, living before the Father just as Rees had done. Additionally, in the same manner that Rees brought others needs before the Throne, Jesus also represents us before our Father as our Intercessor. The second reason that Rees should have continued to live a hidden life is that he spent more time with Jesus. When Rees had decided to continue living in the secret place, the Holy Spirit invited him to spend his entire days sitting in God s presence and talking with Him. Because Rees devoted his days to the Lord, he experienced such sweet fellowship with Him. By continually worshipping and growing in his faith, Rees made the most of his time and spent it well. The third reason that Rees should have continued his hidden lifestyle is that he was set apart. Making the decision to continue living a hidden life is not what most would have decided to do; it is not in our nature. Because Rees decided to continue this lifestyle, some thought that he was foolish. Wavelets are then represented by dilation equations, as opposed to difference or differential equations. Wavelets maintain orthogonality with respect to their dilations and translations. Orthogonality of wavelets with respect to dilations leads to multigrid representation. Arnold states, From the earliest 3rd dynasty step pyramids in Egypt that they were built with accreditation walls or layers . [3] The accreditation layers were sloped inside at an angle. It was probably done to provide structural durability. Each part of the pyramid between two steps is referred to as a mastaba. Each accreditation wall or layer shaped one step of the step pyramid and defined the base of the next mastaba by reducing the height of the wall layer by layer. [3] Intended to hold his mummified body, Pharaoh Djoser s Step Pyramid at Saqqara began as a traditional, flat roofed mastaba. But by the end of his 19 year reign, in 2611 B.C.E, it had risen to six stepped layers and stood 62 meters high. It was the largest building of its time. Extensive use of stone, wood, reeds, or other materials made the tomb more durable than its mud brick structure. The Step Pyramid complex was enclosed by a 10 meters wall and included courtyards, temples, and chapels covering nearly 40 acres (16 hectares) the size of a large town in the third millennium B.C. As in earlier mastaba tombs, the Step Pyramid s burial chambers were underground, hidden in a maze of tunnels. As I learned about criminology I learned that there are several theories that come along with it. The two theories in criminology that stood out the most to me were social strain theory and rational choice theory. These theories stood out to me because I felt like these were two that I can truly see how the people who developed them came about. Social strain theory was created by Robert Merton in the 1940s. Robert Merton is a very famous sociologist who accomplished a lot throughout his career. He spent a lot of his time studying at Colombia University. He also was the first sociologist that received a National Medal of Science Award. Merton came up with the strain theory as an explanation as to why crimerate was so high. Rational choice theorywas created by Ronald Clarke and Derek Cornish. Ronald Clarke was a professor who severed as a dean at the School of Criminal Justice. He was there was longer than a decade. Clarke also had a very successful career. An important and most noted part of his career is him being given the highest award in criminology. The highest awards was the Stockholm Prize in Criminology. Clarke has also written several books and help developed several things in Britain s government. Cornish worked in the department of social science at London School of Economics. Rational choice theory was created to explain why and how every human who commits a crime is faced with a choice. Theory A Social Strain Theory is one of the many theories in criminology. According to our textbook, the definition of social strain theory better known as strain theory is that crime is generated from the acceptance of middle class values that emphasize financial success while certain segments of the population are restricted from attaining monetary success by legitimate means. Essentially this means that everybody does not have the same opportunities. It means that sometimes people do want to achieve more but it hard for them. As you grow, one of the main things you are taught as a child is the American Dream. The dream that tells you one day you will be successful with a family and good job to support.

Harlequin ichthyosis cannot be prevented but it is possible to diagnose or recognize it early in pregnancy by removing some of the amniotic fluid that is surrounding the developing fetus to identify if there is a mutation in ABCA12. It is also likely that pre implantation diagnosis may be available in the near future. Pre implantation testing is a way to look even earlier into the genes of the developing embryo. In pre implantation diagnosis a normally fertile couple will choose to undergo in vitro fertilization and then test each of the embryos for a genetic disease, in this case harlequin ichthyosis, before they are transferred to the mother s womb. Pre implantation diagnosis is difficult, costly and not widely available, but is still an exciting possibility. The finding of a gene for harlequin ichthyosis may also allow development in the future of a specific treatment to replace the missing protein in the upper layers of the skin in this disease. The main characteristics of harlequin ichthyosis include thickening of the keratin layer in fetal human skin. A baby born with this skin related medical condition will possess very hard, thick skin which covers the most portions of the body. The skin contains large scales shaped like diamonds, which tend to have a red, pinkish color. The condition also usually involves abnormal contractions of the ears, eyes, and the movement of legs and arms is usually limited due to the condition. In some cases the condition may also involve restricted movement of the chest, which usually ends in lots of different breathing difficulties that often resort in respiratory failure. Normal skin folds easily, but the skin of an infant affected by harlequin ichthyosis develops cracks at those areas of the body. Various

As an organized science, oceanography is comparatively new, but men have been familiar with the seas from time immemorial. The earliest human settlements were on the banks of large rivers. The Tigris, the Euphrates, the Nile and the Indus were witnesses to early human civilizations. The people living on the river banks soon discovered the immense expanse of the oceans, for all the streams and rivers of the land invariably flowed to their natural destination the seas and the oceans. The inventions and subsequent application of such devices as traps, hooks, lines and nets for capturing fish and other forms of marine life were great innovative strides in the conquest of the seas. Fishing was far less hazardous and much more paying than hunting animals in wild forests. Living was also definitely more pleasant and safer near the seashores than in the interior woodlands where dangerous animals abounded. Man soon learned to engage himself, on regular basis, in fishing and other maritime occupations. More important, he learned to sail across the seas to distant lands in search of food and fortune. Timber and bamboo were extensively used by early man for his uncharted travels in the sea. Sail boats carried early man to distant lands with the help of sea breezes and thus making the horizons wider for him as he was no more bound to the land of is birth. He could explore newer lands and human migrations across once inaccessible seas became a common
