Since 1984, Medicare patients have been serviced under the prospective payment
system of the Medicare program. Under this system, primary care providers are
reimbursed for their services using a fixed payment for each patient that is
determined by the patient s diagnosis related group at the time of the admission.
Therefore, under the prospective payment system a hospital s reimbursement is
unaffected by the actual expenditures that are required to care for a patient.
This newer reimbursement system has been a topic of contention amongst a large
portion of the professional medical community due to the perceived unfairness that it

consequence, the primary care providers may not be reimbursed for the readmission

a system which employs server/client architecture; switching commands for the

(TCP). The remote host processes the commands received and translates them into

teacher, I want to give my students tools that they can use to help them be successful
in any subject area, in their current lives and in their futures. It is important that
middle schoolteachers help students develop into independent thinkers that take

be beneficial to students as they progress through school and beyond is the use of self

grade. Student self assessment and progress monitoring is a process of formative

The construction of Manchevski s story is intended to demonstrate the futility of
ancient hatreds. There are a few moments in the film in which hatred of others is
greater than love of one s own. Imagine a culture where a man would rather kill his
daughter than allow her to love a man from another culture, and one will have an
idea of the depth of bitterness in this film, the insane lengths to which men can be
driven by belief and prejudice ( Ebert 3). Mise en scene is a French term roughly
