New zirconium(IV) complexes with amino acids and 4,4'-bipyridine were synthesized and characterized, showing potential anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. The study tested these complexes in Swiss albino mice, demonstrating their effectiveness in reducing carrageenan-induced paw edema and acetic acid-induced writhing. Results indicated that the complexes had comparable efficacy to standard drugs like diclofenac sodium at appropriate doses.
