Why Dogs Are Important Pets
Major Important Essay
Dogs are really important pets. I think that they are important to our survival for many reasons. These
reasons are that they keep us healthy, protect us and can even discover disease.
Dogs help keep us healthy. According to Celia, walking a dog can help keep you heart healthy. A dog
requires an owner to work out and this creates health benefits. Just walking into a room can bring your
stress level down. This helps keeps you healthy. Dogs provide lots of benefits and can even keep us
safe.
They can save our lives too. A dog named Kelsey saved her owner Bob s life when he slipped and fell
into the snow in Michigan. Kelsey layed on Bob and kept him warm for over 19 hours and barked all
night. She barked and barked until

Essay on International Copyright vs. Online Piracy
Humans create. We sell what we make for profit on this modern marvel of a global market. The times
we live in are the golden days of information and technology. As we stride towards better and more
efficient computers and software, information becomes easier and easier to obtain. But with this new
era of technological advancement comes with something else as well; art. Television shows, music,
books, video games, and movies are blooming as media is more recognized on a global scale.
However, humans always want something for less of a cost. We go out of our way to get the things we
want, and if they are not accessible to us whether because of cost or availability; we find a way to
acquire it. The internet has brought upon a revolution of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This new function of file sharing was dubbed Peer to Peer (P2P) sharing. This allowed users to share
files through an app based network rather than just downloading off a site directly. Napster was
eventually shut down after a long drawn out court battle. Many other P2P services followed in Napster
s wake, but were eventually shut down due to easily being tracked by the government. Thus, a new
method of piracy was needed, one that boasted anonymity for users. The Pirate Bay answered with Bit
Torrents. Bit Torrents allowed users to download from other users, but rather than from just one, bits
of a downloaded files are randomly pieced together from thousands of sources. However, The Pirate
Bay, unlike other sites, was different. Its servers, as well as the men who founded the site, are
Swedish. Sweden s copyright laws are very lose, especially on content protected by foreign entities.
American (as well as other nations ) copyrights don t stand in Swedish courts. This seemingly
untouchable strategy still stands today, as The Pirate Bay is the largest online piracy site in the world.
Today, online piracy is a widespread issue. People do so for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which
is money. Stuff is expensive. Why spend $15 on DVD, when one could pirate hundreds for free? The
ability to acquire things freely is fundamentally an un solvable issue. The next, and the easiest to fix,
reason why people pirate online is because of unavailability of certain

The Effects Of Energy Drinks On The Human Body
The effects of energy drinks once poured in the human body Once you consume an energy drink your
whole body is affected including you brain, your bloodstream, your heart, and your skin. Energy
drinks are really bad for you if you drink it a lot; they say it could affect how you work out because
energy drinks lead to sugar crashes. You don t want to work out and in the middle of your work out,
you get tired all of the sudden, if you drink one after you work out you would just get tired and you
will start to crash. My opinion you should not drink energy drinks at all while working out. The things
they put in it, it s just not worth drinking it during your work out There are a lot of effects energy
drinks can do to your brain, for example Fox health says Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine. A
brain chemical that helps you sleep (which is why too much can lead to insomnia)now, think about it
your sleep is affected, if you drink a lot of energy drinks it will mess up your sleeping habits. Most
people drink it when they work nights to allow them to stay up. Most energy drinks are not FDA
approved that means ta it s not healthy to drink it. It also if you chug one of them you could get
hospitalized because all that sugar poured in the body and all the ingredients that is cause you to stay
up and keep you going that is not good for you. My opinion is people don t know what they are
putting in there body. It can affect you brain they can affect what you thing if

Leadership Key Elements Paper
Leadership Key Elements Leadership is something that we are all born with because we are all born.
Therefore, who is a leader and who is not depends on who really wants to be a leader and who does
not. Leadership is a skill and so it can be learned. As anything that is learned it demands practice and
practice to be the best. It would not be something that will happen in a matter of a day. There are
multiple elements that make a leader. Collaboration is a key element for successful teamwork.
Therefore, a leader must always be in the look for ways to foster collaboration. Creating trust within
the team, support face to face collaboration, transfer responsibilities when making decisions, and
ultimately teach other how to be leaders. All of this is not done if it is not done from the bottom of
your own heart. Credibility Creating trust within the team As stated by Kouzes and Posner (2012), If
you re a manager in an organization, to your direct reports you are the most important leader in your
organization. You are more likely than any other leader to influence their desire to stay or leave, the
trajectory of their careers, their ethical behavior, their ability to perform at their best, their drive to
wow customers, their satisfaction with their jobs, and their motivation to share the organization s
vision and values (p. 332). Therefore, the first one to trust will be the leader. Leaders should ensure
their member know their leader believe in them. Leaders believe in their

In October 2000, Comic Relief and The Day Chocolate Company teamed up with Kuapa Kokoo, a co
operative of 35,000 Ghanaian cocoa farmers, to launch Dubble, a unique chocolate bar aimed at 10 16

The Day Chocolate Company carried out research on the target audience.
They found out that the 10 16 age range was a tribal and friendship orientated age group, which knew
global issues, trusted the ideas behind comic relief and understood the concept of fairness, but were
unfamiliar with Fair Trading. They chose chocolate based on brand appeal and taste. Therefore, by
exploiting links with comic relief and
Fair Trade the target audience would see Dubble as a popular and trusted product which aimed to
increase fairness in the world.
From my market research, I wanted to find out how popular the product was, and whether any
improvements could be introduced. I needed to ascertain key forms of entertainment used by 10 16
year olds so that the selling and advertising of Dubble could be more focussed. I needed to find out the
proportion of average pocket money spent on chocolates, so that Dubble could be priced accordingly,
and to see if people had heard about fair trading and if not, as to how to best convey the Fair Trade
message. Most teenagers shopped at Safeway s, visited the cinema often, used a varied range of media
and were fairly familiar with the new product. Most spent about a £1/week on chocolate. My findings
also demonstrated that Dubble is best advertised on T.V, as this was the main form of media used
which, influenced teenagers when it came to buying products.
One of the T.V adverts I created was based on the nursery

Essay about Knights and Thier Role In Medieval Society
Knights and their role in medieval society.
Knights were an integral part of medieval society. They originally began with primitive warriors such
as the Mongols who fought on horseback for added speed and power, but quickly advanced to
chivalrous gentleman such as the Normans. Much has been written about medieval knights with the
most famous being a series of legends about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Arthur
and his knights were the ultimate example of what a perfect knight should have been. They were brave
and skilful in battle, but merciful to their enemies once vanquished. They were courteous to ladies,
and never ate or drank to excess.
Knights associated in groups which they called orders. They vowed loyalty to ... Show more content

Any knight in those days who became a knight also had to take religious vows to live as monks as
well as defending the king.
To become a knight you had to go through three different stages; page, squire and knighthood. When a
boy turned seven, they would leave home and start their training to be a knight. As a page, he joined
the household of another knight or a nobleman. There they would train him how to use and handle
small weapons. They also taught him manners, and the behaviour of knights. Then at fourteen they
would advance to squire. In this position he would be a servant to the knight who had become his
master. Training progressed and advanced to that of a mounted soldier. This would come in handy
when he was called to assist his knight in battle. This would usually last around seven years. Then the
squire was eligible for knighthood. Any knight could bestow knighthood on another. They would
simply put the armour of the squire on him. Later it became more complicated with a tap of the sword
and the words, I thee you knight along with bathing and praying ceremonies.
Knights lived under a strict code of chivalry. This meant that he had faith and a deep love of the
Christian religion, even to the point of death. They also had strong loyalty towards their land of birth,
and gave generously to all. They had a duty to protect women and the weak. Knights always fought

Lack Of Women s Rights Of Muslim Women
The rights of women have been debated in communities around the world for centuries. Many
religions have agreed that women deserve to have the basic rights of men, but in the Muslim world,
men are allowed to decide which rights, if any, their sisters, daughters, wives, female cousins, and
even mothers can express. Islamic men should not have this extreme power over women. Many
Muslim feminists, including some men, have tried to stand up to this nonsense and have been
murdered for standing up for the rights the Qur an has given them. The typical Muslim woman is
equal to a Muslim man according to the Qur an (M. Ali and A. Ali Web), but Islamic law permits men
to abuse women s rights in their family or household (Friedland Web). Islam is not ... Show more

because they cannot speak for themselves. Disrespect, abuse, and murder: when will these crimes

stuck in relationships and marriages they never wanted, want to speak out so badly for their rights.
Any women should have the right to be independent and not be forced to depend on a male guardian.
All women should have the right to express themselves by whatever means they wish. Women should
be allowed to mingle with whoever they wish, whenever they wish. Muslim women deserve the right
to be a woman, to speak, to learn, to drive, and to live without permission. The women of Islam
should be allowed to declare independence from their family or their husbands. They should be
allowed a long, healthy, prosperous life with or without a man. There needs to be certain laws
preventing the rape, murder, and abuse of women world wide. Murder should never be allowed or go
unpunished. Women s rights are more than just the rights of women, they are their livelihood. Muslim
women need the right to choose and think for themselves without having to fear for their lives or their

Plato s The Socratic Method
Plato wrote nearly 30 dialogues, most of which focused on his predecessor, Socrates. His earlier works
focused on Socrates Theories, or the Socratic method, while his later works focused on his own laws
and Xenophon s Hiero. Some of Plato s dialogues include the Meno, Symposium, Republic, and the
Phaedo. The Socratic method is a form of inquiry and discussion between individuals based on asking
and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to generate ideas. This paper is going to
focus on a few of Plato s earlier works and how they incorporate the Socratic method, versus his later
works that seem to go in a different direction all together. First, it is important to understand that the
Socratic method is a dialectical method that often involves discussion between people in which one
person questions the defense of a point of view; many times the person defending his point of view
may contradict himself, which gives the opposition a stronger defense. For example, Socrates would
use a simple question to begin many of his teachings, such as Is the pious loved by the gods because it
is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the gods? As an alternative example, are actions right, or
wrong, based only on the authority s approval of said actions? Socrates used this method many times
to secure his point of view. Although Socrates wrote nothing down, therefore not allowing us to truly
study his point of views or his teachings, we can assume that most of

Che Guevar A Visionary Leader In The Cuban Revolution
Che Guevara Words without deeds are worthless! When asked about Che Guevara the first thing that
is mentioned is the famous image of his face on t shirts worn by left leaning young adults, but did you
know he was a prominent figure in the Cuban Revolution? Guevara was both a visionary and ethical
leader because of his ability to lead the Cuban Revolution and because he cared about suffering. In
this paper we will review how Guevara was a visionary leader through his communication, continuous
engagement and willingness to put everything on the line. Second, we will examine how Guevara
applied ethical principles though reflective thinking and intellectual empathy in helping him make the
ethical decision to be a Revolutionary. Finally, I will reflect on how Guevara s visionary and ethical
leadership has influenced me to make changes to my leadership style. Guevara used his visionary and
ethical leadership traits to start a revolution across Latin America.
Visionary Leader Che Guevara displayed the characteristics of a true Visionary Leader throughout his
involvement with Fidel Castro s efforts to overthrow the Batista government in Cuba. As a military
advisor, he inspired and motivated guerilla troops in battles against Batista forces through both his
words and actions (History.com Staff, 2009). According to the Full Range Leadership chapter, this is
the definition of inspirational motivation. An example of this can found in the fierce and decisive
battle at Santa

centuries. He wrote in many philosophical areas, including epistemology, ethics, and metaphysics,
with some of his most notable works being Theory of Knowledge, Why I m Not a Christian, and In
Praise of Idleness. He also worked with mathematics and logic, penning Principia Mathematica and
Introduction to Mathematical Philosophy. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950 for
various pieces of writing he had published. He was also very openly pacifist, and even went to jail in
1918 for publicly encouraging anti war ideology during World War I. Russell is widely considered to
be an incredibly influential thinker and writer. One of his popular works, The Conquest of Happiness,
discusses the unhappiness that many ordinary people suffer from and how to fix it. The first nine
chapters detail causes of unhappiness, including pessimism, competition, excitement, and emotional
fatigue. Russell displays many scenarios in which these qualities are present and why they cause such
unhappiness to begin with. He then spends seven more chapters explaining what causes happiness,
including an individual s relationships with their jobs, spouses, and other family. He demonstrates the
reasons why these are so effective in creating happiness in people and how these goals can be reached.
The book overall preaches contentment rather than total elation, relaxation rather than constant
excitement,

Important Place In My Life
One of the most important places in my life is a quiet place in Cook County, Illinois.
That place would be a cemetery called St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. To many, this may be a weird
place to choose, but to me it is a safe place to vent and think. You see, St. Mary is the resting place of
my mother, Kimberly Bitsie. Those reasons, are why it is the most important place in my world.
Cook County is not a place I have ever lived, but my family and I try to visit as often as we can. My
Dad, little brother and I usually try visit once every two to three years, because we visit our
grandparents while in Illinois. When we visit though, we always try to make time to visit the cemetery
because we don t know the next we will be able to see her. It s about a thirty five minute drive from
my grandparent s house, but it s worth the drive. We spend on average thirty to forty minutes at the
cemetery. Before we go into the cemetery, we always stop by this one store near the cemetery, that
sells flower and decorations, to buy a spinner to put on mom s grave. I was only four when my mom
died of cancer, and I only have a few memories of her. So, being able to visit and try to connect is
what makes it special to me. When we go to visit the cemetery, it is usually around midday. Unlike
other cemeteries I have seen or visited, this cemetery I would put on the better side of the list, with
upkeep and location. When you first drive into the cemetery, you see a big gate and a beautiful stone

Boethius Attributes
There are certain attributes that are associated with God
Omnipotence, omnibenevolence and omniscience quick definitions
Boethius s argument centres around God s omniscience
The idea that God is all knowing raises several problems
Free will, individual freedom, point of prayer, responsible for sin, could we choose otherwise
One view is that If God knows something then necessarily it will happen
=predestination, predetermined out lives in a causal sense. Doesn t the benevolence of God require
that we should indeed be free to choose
God s knowledge causes events to happen
God = eternal, timeless, atemporal, sees past/present/future simultaneously

Hughes in the Nature of God tries to redeem God s omnibenevolence by suggesting a wholly simple
God with dependent omniscience
Vardy disagrees with this as it s inconsistent with God s simplicity, This makes God dependant on

From this one would have to conclude the if God is wholly simple then Boethius is unsuccessful it that
God is not wholly simple at all and in this case Boethius would have to change the concept of God s
nature in order for his concept of God s omniscience to work
Believers hold that God must be benevolent and reward or punish justly as it imperative that we
maintain free will, otherwise our actions become irrelevant
In order to solve this issue other philosophers hold that God is everlasting, instead of eternal, he, like
humans, is a temporal being who exists within time and has a past present and future

Comparing Central Minnesota s City And Rural Life
Just Over an Hour Away
The city of Minneapolis, Minnesota is booming with life! With its convention center, night life noise,
busy highways, advertised attractions, and sports related events, the city life expectations satisfy both
visitors and residents. It is typical to assume that the high end activities and busy nightlife attract
political feuds and noise because they are located in the city. Nonetheless, this is not the case for some
of Central Minnesota s rural life found in places such as Riverview, Sterns County, Baker Township,
and parts of Saint Cloud. So, comparing Central Minnesota s city and rural life, where are peace and
beauty located?
There is a continuous political struggle between the acceptance of dairy farm growth and feedlot
growth midst some of the family owned businesses in the rural areas. Insomuch, the largest milk
producer wanted to invest about 55 million into a dairy feedlot last year, but regulators proposed
environmental concerns such as nitrate pollution in the water, manure smell, and large scale
confinement of farm animals claiming it interferes with the beautiful side of country living. This
family is known to have over 35,000 dairy cows currently working up to 22 hours a day giving them
the competitive edge. Although this may appear somewhat monopolistic, it does provide employment
opportunities for many as well as financial economic development for the entire State of Minnesota.
Another spectacular main event in rural Minnesota is

cause very little reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions (CO2). The California Air Resources

of achieving almost 50% of the state objective. McKinsey report indicated that the CO2 emission
reductions in the United States can be achieved for about $50 per ton. On comparison, the cost per ton
of CO2 emission removal by HSR is very high ranging between 39 and 201 times the IPCC ceiling of
$50. So it can be understood that the impact of High Speed Rail on CO2 would be inconsequential and
exorbitantly costly. Hence, the CO2 emission reduction due to high speed rail cannot be legitimately
included as an element of a rational strategy for reducing GHG emissions. Considering the untenable
traffic impact projections, California High Speed Rail Authority s claims are considered specious. To
attain more liability to the claims of the authority, an independent assessment of HSR s CO2 impacts
should be made, including both operations and construction. The critics state that the California High
Speed Rail Authority should stop making any statements about CO2 or other air quality impacts until

Karl s Views On Social Science
Karl Popper became a popular philosopher in the twentieth century, known for his emphasis on
empirical falsification while studying the social sciences. He rejected previously popular views from
the prewar era, namely Historicism, which focuses on only historical evidence in the observation of
political and social events. In his book, Popper Selections, Popper vehemently opposes ideas such as
historicism, collectivism, utopian principles, and the Marxian ideology. Popper s emphasis on
empirical falsification provides us the basis as to why he believes democracy proves to be essential to
a state. His emphasis on individualism, piece meal social engineering, interventionism and sovereignty
highlight Popper s direct opposition to Marx, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He asserts, there cannot, of course, be any rational discussion in a school of this kind (Popper 1985).
Popper then places emphasis on the importance on the rise of tradition, meaning a tradition in places
of learning that encourages critical discussion and new ideas, perhaps even rewards them. Not only
does Popper maintain that this rise of criticism is important, he also states that those being criticized
should be tolerant of dissenting view points and seek to understand the opposition rather than rejecting
it. Furthermore, Popper states, the rationalist tradition, the tradition of critical discussion, represents
the only practicable way of expanding our knowledge (Popper 1985). These ideas of critical
discussion and critical rationalism essentially serve as the thesis to Popper s theory. Popper s reliance
on the testability, falsifiability, scientific methodology and accumulating data and theories serve as the
main components of Popperism. The Popperian ideology seems to be directly in opposition to
historicism. Popper defines historicism as an approach to the social sciences which assumes that
historical prediction is their principal aim, and which that assumes that this aim is attainable by
discovering the rhythms or the patterns, the laws or the trends that underlie the evolution of history

Burt s Bees Market Opportunity Factors Essay
Burt s Bees Marketing Opportunity Factors
Burt s Bees started out as a candle making company in 1984 and has grown into a recognized brand in
the natural personal care products market. They entered the natural personal care products market in
1991 with the creation of their Beeswax Lip Balm, which is still their leading bestseller. They
expanded their business in 1991 by moving to North Carolina where they are still headquartered
today. In 1999, they began their global expansion. In 2006, they began distributing their products to
drugstores and other retail centers to allow the mass market the ability to buy natural made products.

Environmental Elements
Several environmental elements may affect Burt s Bees. These include legal, demographic, economic
and cultural social.
Legal: Aside from being a natural product, Burt s Bees is also valued for being a cruelty free company.
They do not conduct product or ingredient tests on animals (Burt s Bees, 2013). Currently, China
requires animal testing for cosmetic products. As such, Burt s Bees cannot sell in the Chinese market,
unless they changed their philosophy and tested their products on animals. While changing their
philosophy might allow them to enter the Chinese market, there is likely to be backlash from their
consumers who value their cruelty free philosophy. China is currently reconsidering their animal
testing requirements for non specialized cosmetics manufactured in China starting in June 2014. This
politic/legal shift could create new business opportunities for cruelty free companies to begin
manufacturing and selling their cosmetics in China (a $22B cosmetic market (Reuters, 2013).
Demographic: Burt s Bees philosophy is to attract an educated youthful market and establish brand
loyalty at a young age. Increased or decreases in population size, age mix, and education levels could
increase or decrease Burt s Bees target demographic.
Economic: An economic downturn could affect the sales of Burt s Bees products. While a large
percentage of customers are loyal due to Burt s Bees their natural and/or

Social Theories of Karl Marx and Maw Weber
There are many sociological issues in the world today that can relate back to the concept theories that
Karl Marx and Max Weber formed many years ago. Although there are too many for us to go further
in depth on, I chose to primarily focus on Racism and Classism. With the perspectives of these
theorists in mind I can explain how Racism, Classism, in conjunction with Feminism are among the
largest social problems human beings face in the world today.
Both theorists have different theories of the social concept Classism, however they are not that much
different from one another. Karl Marx utilizes the term proletariat to refer to the working class . Marx
views the members of each class as sharing their own distinctive culture. Max Weber ... Show more

This allows us to raise our brows to the problems with socialism, and where the government is failing
us. Marx used the concept of class consciousness to refer to a subjective awareness held by members
of a class regarding their common vested interests and need for collective political action to bring
about social change.
According to Marx, class is qualitatively different from gender and race and cannot be considered just
another system of oppression. Globally racism and sexism differs depending on the situation, but in
nature produces the same issues. Racism is a major social problem in more than just one part of the
world. There is not a connection between certain races and how they are treated in similar countries,
there is a drift among racially divided cultures. For example, 1/4 white men who use coke are caught
for it while 1/17 black men who use it are caught. The number of white to black users are the same,
however the conviction rate is very different.
Feminism is another social problem troubling human societies all over the world. Feminism is an issue
of Dominance of Men over Women around the world. The feminist theory is a result of the general
movement to empower women worldwide. According to Weber feminism can be defined as a

Gilgamesh Analysis
Gilgamesh One of the earliest surviving works of literature is The Epic of Gilgamesh. It is a source
into understanding the Sumerians and what they believe. The Epic of Gilgamesh takes place in an
ancient Sumerian city of Uruk, which is modern day Iraq. We can take a few things away from this
poem about the Sumerians. For one, they have strong beliefs in gods and goddesses and they have a
self consciousness of their cultivation with the natural world. The main character of this poem is
Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk. Gilgamesh is 1/3rd human and 2/3rds god, incredibly handsome, and is
one of the strongest humans. Ultimately Gilgamesh is the most powerful man of his time, which
allows him to exploit women and wear out the city. Gilgamesh s power started to irritate the people
and they needed someone who would be able to stand up to him. Hence, the goddess, Aruru, created
Enkidu, Gilgamesh s frenemy turned loyal companion. Before Enkidu became Gilgamesh s friend and
loyal companion, he was one with the wild. Instead of being part human, part god, Enkidu was 1/3rd
human and 2/3rds beast. He lived in the forest with animals only eating grass and drinking out of
water holes. He was unaware of the civilized life outside of the forest. He did not understand the ways
of civilized life. Instead he was used to his primitive ways, he did not know what losses he was facing
verses what he was going to gain. After the temple prostitute, he developed a need for human

Uneven Distribution of Life in America
The wealth gap between the rich and the poor continues to grow in America as it has in recent
decades. Wealth distribution in America has not been this unequal since 1928, the year before the
Great Depression started. The richest four hundred people in America have more money than the one
hundred fifty million poorest Americans combined. The wealth gap needs to shrink due to the negative
repercussions of wealth inequality. Wealth inequality leads to inequality in other aspects of life.
Uneven distribution of wealth stunts economic growth as well as limits socio economic mobility. It
also leads to a shorter lifespan for the less wealthy.
In recent years, the issue of this uneven distribution of wealth in America has come to the forefront.
President Obama even dedicated part of his last State of the Union address to this problem. Statistics
revealing the distribution of wealth to each social class is easily obtainable for the general public. But,
the uneven distribution of wealth is not a problem that developed overnight. The gap in wealth
between the rich and the poor has been growing for decades. Uneven wealth distribution became an
issue once before in America, in the 1920 s. A small group of people were beginning to point out that
most of the wealth in America was in the hands of a few wealthy men. This idea was not shared by the
vast majority though. A New York Times article that was written in 1921 dismisses the uneven wealth
distribution talk as socialist propaganda .

Instead of relying on her husbands to protect her, provide her with food, money and things husbands
would normally provide, the Nayar women relied on their brothers or sisters.
Comparing these cultures to each other, you can see that they are very different. For one the Ik culture
don t have concern for family at all while the Pomo Indians think life is all about family but the Nayar
Society didn t seem to think of themselves as family but as associates to each other to carry the
generation on. From looking at the positive views on family, I would say that the Pomo Indians are the
most caring culture out of the three cultures, and while the Ik may seem like a horrible culture, I
would say that the Nayar Society is the worst as it seems like a disorganised and uncaring culture.
When it comes to my culture, we believe that family is very, very important. We believe that you need

Reasons For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet are a play based on two star crossed lovers who ended in tragedy. Love, Irrational
thinking and the family feud among the two households along with Tybalt provoking fights, and Lord
Capulet forcing Juliet to marry Count Paris whom she did not want to marry. The three main reasons
for the death of Romeo and Juliet are the characters Lord Capulet and Tybalt as well as timing and fate
of all the events and confrontations leading up to their deaths. Lord Capulet forced Juliet into a
marriage that she had no say in and was only to the benefit of her father. Tybalt provoked many fights
with both Romeo and Mercutio his friend, in turn, eventually killing Mercutio. Romeo then kills
Tybalt worsening Romeo and Juliet s relationship by pulling them apart. Finally, the feud among the
two households from the get go prohibited their relationship. All in all, these three aspects of the play
lead to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet, the father and Mother of
Juliet were the first decisive factor in pulling apart Romeo and Juliet. The parents of Juliet constant
mission to court her to Count Paris affect Juliet in many ways. It gave her hatred for her father and
mother as well as hurting Romeo and Juliet s marriage. Lord Capulet put stress and unwanted tension
between the two lovers in turn affecting their decision making ability. Although unknown to him, Lord
Capulet greatly affected Juliet s mental state as well. She was constantly,

Standardized Testing Benefits
Imagine if you or a friend had a talent for art, music, or foreign languages, but the school you attend
cut back on the time spent focusing on these multiple subjects and decided to focus on more important
subjects. Standardized test scores show the academic standing of an individual student and are used to
compare that student to others across the U.S. This can create an immense amount of pressure on
students to do well. Standardized tests focus on the core subjects of math and reading, with a smaller
emphasis on science and writing. If the tests only focus on four main subjects than how can they
measure other important traits or skills? We all have so many talents beyond the core subjects that do
not show up on a test. Standardized tests ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Schools across the country are offered different course rigors, allowing some students to be more
prepared for tests such as the SAT and ACT. The SAT and ACT are standardized tests that high school
students are required to take to get into college. According to College Board, a private nonprofit
corporation that owns the SAT, the test is designed to, measure the essential ingredients for college
and career readiness and success. The ACT test is designed to measure college and career readiness as
well. College Board also recommends students take challenging courses in order to do well on the test.
According to College Board an AP class gives you the academic skills you need in college. If students
are able to take AP courses, they have a higher probability of performing better on these tests
compared to students who have not taken AP courses ( The College Board ). An example of this unfair
advantage is between Indian Hill High School and Cincinnati Public Schools. Indian Hill High School
offers a total of 27 different AP courses to their students ( Academics ). At Cincinnati Public Schools,
there are only 13 different AP courses offered to high school students ( AP Blended ). Indian Hill High
School offers 17 more AP classes compared to Cincinnati Public Schools. The number of AP course
offered to students at Indian Hill provides an unfair advantage compared to Cincinnati Public, to do
well on both the SAT and ACT and learn the academic skills needed to get into college ( Academics ).
Both schools released their average composite ACT scores, and while Cincinnati Public Schools had
an average composite score of 22 on the ACT ( AP Blended ), Indian Hill s ACT composite score was
26.9 ( Academics ). The students at Indian Hill High School did significantly better on the ACT than

Explain The Realism Of The Gulf War
Abstract
The Gulf War was a brief affair between Kuwait and Iraq in 1990 and 1991 when Iraq invaded
Kuwait, yet many additional state and non state parties involved. Realism is a theory attempting to
explain international relationships, which says that states struggle to hold power and will inevitably be
in conflict with each other because of this. Although realism was a core theory before the Cold War,
many believe that it is no longer applicable post Cold War.
This paper has three parts. First, it will provide a brief explanation of the Gulf War. Second, it will
explain realism including the view of realism s relevance post Cold War. Finally, it will discuss the
realist interpretation of the actions of three large actors involved in the war: Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and
the United States. This paper will critically discuss the Gulf War and investigate the dynamics and
motivations of the three main actors involved from a realist perspective. This paper will prove that
although realism is no longer overt, hidden intentions and behaviors line up to agree with a realist
methodology in international relations.
Realism is one theory that has been used to explain international relationships. However, many say
that it is less relevant post Cold War due to changes in politics and interactions between states. The ...

A Report On Cyber Security Breaches
Cyber security breaches have shown a spike in 2015, with large scale compromises on companies like
Target, Sony and Home Depot. There is a strong demand to deploy more robust cyber security tools to
prevent future attacks. FireEye, a cyber security firm, has started to fill the void and is reaping the
rewards.
Company Overview
FireEye is an industry leader in total security threat protection. The organization has a unique set of
security products which enable organizations to protect their online assets from attacks in real time.

This brief will examine FireEye s position as it relates to Michael Porter s Five Forces of competition;
Threat of New Entrants, Threat of Substitutes, Bargaining Power of Suppliers/Customers, and Rivalry
among Existing Competitors.
Threats of New Entrants
There are a variety of barriers that an organization may face when entering into a particular market
space. In the case of FireEye, the barriers they faced in the cyber security domain were incumbents in
the market, like customers exhibiting cost sensitivity in switching from their existing service.
The majority of the customer s in the cyber security industry has multiple cyber related business like
antivirus, providing network hardware, providing security services, performing audits and assessments
and risk advisory services. Company s like Palo Alto and McAfee are entering into malware analysis
with very less or no profit margin set to attract more customers. This affects the quality of the product
and poses a critical challenge for FireEye.
FireEye, unlike its competition, does not have easy access to distribution channels distribution
partners. Proper distribution channel is a matter of concern when expanding the sales to countries
other than US.
The growing number of cyber security threats has brought about a proliferation of businesses offering
various forms of network protection solutions. This may

  • 3. Essay on International Copyright vs. Online Piracy Humans create. We sell what we make for profit on this modern marvel of a global market. The times we live in are the golden days of information and technology. As we stride towards better and more efficient computers and software, information becomes easier and easier to obtain. But with this new era of technological advancement comes with something else as well; art. Television shows, music, books, video games, and movies are blooming as media is more recognized on a global scale. However, humans always want something for less of a cost. We go out of our way to get the things we want, and if they are not accessible to us whether because of cost or availability; we find a way to acquire it. The internet has brought upon a revolution of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This new function of file sharing was dubbed Peer to Peer (P2P) sharing. This allowed users to share files through an app based network rather than just downloading off a site directly. Napster was eventually shut down after a long drawn out court battle. Many other P2P services followed in Napster s wake, but were eventually shut down due to easily being tracked by the government. Thus, a new method of piracy was needed, one that boasted anonymity for users. The Pirate Bay answered with Bit Torrents. Bit Torrents allowed users to download from other users, but rather than from just one, bits of a downloaded files are randomly pieced together from thousands of sources. However, The Pirate Bay, unlike other sites, was different. Its servers, as well as the men who founded the site, are Swedish. Sweden s copyright laws are very lose, especially on content protected by foreign entities. American (as well as other nations ) copyrights don t stand in Swedish courts. This seemingly untouchable strategy still stands today, as The Pirate Bay is the largest online piracy site in the world. Today, online piracy is a widespread issue. People do so for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which is money. Stuff is expensive. Why spend $15 on DVD, when one could pirate hundreds for free? The ability to acquire things freely is fundamentally an un solvable issue. The next, and the easiest to fix, reason why people pirate online is because of unavailability of certain ... • 4. The Effects Of Energy Drinks On The Human Body The effects of energy drinks once poured in the human body Once you consume an energy drink your whole body is affected including you brain, your bloodstream, your heart, and your skin. Energy drinks are really bad for you if you drink it a lot; they say it could affect how you work out because energy drinks lead to sugar crashes. You don t want to work out and in the middle of your work out, you get tired all of the sudden, if you drink one after you work out you would just get tired and you will start to crash. My opinion you should not drink energy drinks at all while working out. The things they put in it, it s just not worth drinking it during your work out There are a lot of effects energy drinks can do to your brain, for example Fox health says Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine. A brain chemical that helps you sleep (which is why too much can lead to insomnia)now, think about it your sleep is affected, if you drink a lot of energy drinks it will mess up your sleeping habits. Most people drink it when they work nights to allow them to stay up. Most energy drinks are not FDA approved that means ta it s not healthy to drink it. It also if you chug one of them you could get hospitalized because all that sugar poured in the body and all the ingredients that is cause you to stay up and keep you going that is not good for you. My opinion is people don t know what they are putting in there body. It can affect you brain they can affect what you thing if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore, who is a leader and who is not depends on who really wants to be a leader and who does not. Leadership is a skill and so it can be learned. As anything that is learned it demands practice and practice to be the best. It would not be something that will happen in a matter of a day. There are multiple elements that make a leader. Collaboration is a key element for successful teamwork. Therefore, a leader must always be in the look for ways to foster collaboration. Creating trust within the team, support face to face collaboration, transfer responsibilities when making decisions, and ultimately teach other how to be leaders. All of this is not done if it is not done from the bottom of your own heart. Credibility Creating trust within the team As stated by Kouzes and Posner (2012), If you re a manager in an organization, to your direct reports you are the most important leader in your organization. You are more likely than any other leader to influence their desire to stay or leave, the trajectory of their careers, their ethical behavior, their ability to perform at their best, their drive to wow customers, their satisfaction with their jobs, and their motivation to share the organization s vision and values (p. 332). The Dubble Campaign: Write an evaluation of how effective you think the Dubble campaign has been so far and how your advertising has aimed to reach Dubble s target audience effectively. In October 2000, Comic Relief and The Day Chocolate Company teamed up with Kuapa Kokoo, a co operative of 35,000 Ghanaian cocoa farmers, to launch Dubble, a unique chocolate bar aimed at 10 16 year olds. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Day Chocolate Company carried out research on the target audience. They found out that the 10 16 age range was a tribal and friendship orientated age group, which knew global issues, trusted the ideas behind comic relief and understood the concept of fairness, but were unfamiliar with Fair Trading. They chose chocolate based on brand appeal and taste. Therefore, by exploiting links with comic relief and Fair Trade the target audience would see Dubble as a popular and trusted product which aimed to increase fairness in the world. From my market research, I wanted to find out how popular the product was, and whether any improvements could be introduced. I needed to ascertain key forms of entertainment used by 10 16 year olds so that the selling and advertising of Dubble could be more focussed. I needed to find out the proportion of average pocket money spent on chocolates, so that Dubble could be priced accordingly, and to see if people had heard about fair trading and if not, as to how to best convey the Fair Trade message. Most teenagers shopped at Safeway s, visited the cinema often, used a varied range of media and were fairly familiar with the new product. Most spent about a £1/week on chocolate. My findings also demonstrated that Dubble is best advertised on T.V, as this was the main form of media used which, influenced teenagers when it came to buying products. They originally began with primitive warriors such as the Mongols who fought on horseback for added speed and power, but quickly advanced to chivalrous gentleman such as the Normans. Much has been written about medieval knights with the most famous being a series of legends about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Any knight in those days who became a knight also had to take religious vows to live as monks as well as defending the king. To become a knight you had to go through three different stages; page, squire and knighthood. When a boy turned seven, they would leave home and start their training to be a knight. As a page, he joined the household of another knight or a nobleman. There they would train him how to use and handle small weapons. They also taught him manners, and the behaviour of knights. Then at fourteen they would advance to squire. In this position he would be a servant to the knight who had become his master. Training progressed and advanced to that of a mounted soldier. This would come in handy when he was called to assist his knight in battle. This would usually last around seven years. Then the squire was eligible for knighthood. Any knight could bestow knighthood on another. They would simply put the armour of the squire on him. Later it became more complicated with a tap of the sword and the words, I thee you knight along with bathing and praying ceremonies. Knights lived under a strict code of chivalry. This meant that he had faith and a deep love of the Christian religion, even to the point of death. They also had strong loyalty towards their land of birth, and gave generously to all. Many religions have agreed that women deserve to have the basic rights of men, but in the Muslim world, men are allowed to decide which rights, if any, their sisters, daughters, wives, female cousins, and even mothers can express. Islamic men should not have this extreme power over women. Many Muslim feminists, including some men, have tried to stand up to this nonsense and have been murdered for standing up for the rights the Qur an has given them. • 9. Plato s The Socratic Method Plato wrote nearly 30 dialogues, most of which focused on his predecessor, Socrates. His earlier works focused on Socrates Theories, or the Socratic method, while his later works focused on his own laws and Xenophon s Hiero. Some of Plato s dialogues include the Meno, Symposium, Republic, and the Phaedo. The Socratic method is a form of inquiry and discussion between individuals based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to generate ideas. This paper is going to focus on a few of Plato s earlier works and how they incorporate the Socratic method, versus his later works that seem to go in a different direction all together. First, it is important to understand that the Socratic method is a dialectical method that often involves discussion between people in which one person questions the defense of a point of view; many times the person defending his point of view may contradict himself, which gives the opposition a stronger defense. For example, Socrates would use a simple question to begin many of his teachings, such as Is the pious loved by the gods because it is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the gods? As an alternative example, are actions right, or wrong, based only on the authority s approval of said actions? Socrates used this method many times to secure his point of view. Although Socrates wrote nothing down, therefore not allowing us to truly study his point of views or his teachings, we can assume that most of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Che Guevar A Visionary Leader In The Cuban Revolution Che Guevara Words without deeds are worthless! When asked about Che Guevara the first thing that is mentioned is the famous image of his face on t shirts worn by left leaning young adults, but did you know he was a prominent figure in the Cuban Revolution? Guevara was both a visionary and ethical leader because of his ability to lead the Cuban Revolution and because he cared about suffering. In this paper we will review how Guevara was a visionary leader through his communication, continuous engagement and willingness to put everything on the line. Second, we will examine how Guevara applied ethical principles though reflective thinking and intellectual empathy in helping him make the ethical decision to be a Revolutionary. Finally, I will reflect on how Guevara s visionary and ethical leadership has influenced me to make changes to my leadership style. Guevara used his visionary and ethical leadership traits to start a revolution across Latin America. Visionary Leader Che Guevara displayed the characteristics of a true Visionary Leader throughout his involvement with Fidel Castro s efforts to overthrow the Batista government in Cuba. As a military advisor, he inspired and motivated guerilla troops in battles against Batista forces through both his words and actions (History.com Staff, 2009). The first nine chapters detail causes of unhappiness, including pessimism, competition, excitement, and emotional fatigue. Russell displays many scenarios in which these qualities are present and why they cause such unhappiness to begin with. He then spends seven more chapters explaining what causes happiness, including an individual s relationships with their jobs, spouses, and other family. He demonstrates the reasons why these are so effective in creating happiness in people and how these goals can be reached. With its convention center, night life noise, busy highways, advertised attractions, and sports related events, the city life expectations satisfy both visitors and residents. It is typical to assume that the high end activities and busy nightlife attract political feuds and noise because they are located in the city. Nonetheless, this is not the case for some of Central Minnesota s rural life found in places such as Riverview, Sterns County, Baker Township, and parts of Saint Cloud. So, comparing Central Minnesota s city and rural life, where are peace and beauty located? There is a continuous political struggle between the acceptance of dairy farm growth and feedlot growth midst some of the family owned businesses in the rural areas. Insomuch, the largest milk producer wanted to invest about 55 million into a dairy feedlot last year, but regulators proposed environmental concerns such as nitrate pollution in the water, manure smell, and large scale confinement of farm animals claiming it interferes with the beautiful side of country living. This family is known to have over 35,000 dairy cows currently working up to 22 hours a day giving them the competitive edge. • 21. The California High Speed Rail Authority Greenhouse Gas Reduction The California High Speed Rail Authority Claims about the systems environmental benefits are greatly overstated. As per Due Diligence Report, California HSR will cause very little reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions (CO2). The California Air Resources Board forecasts that the HSR would reduce CO2 emissions equal to only 1.5% of the current state objective. On the other hand the California High Speed Rail Authority has made an exaggerated claim of achieving almost 50% of the state objective. McKinsey report indicated that the CO2 emission reductions in the United States can be achieved for about $50 per ton. On comparison, the cost per ton of CO2 emission removal by HSR is very high ranging between 39 and 201 times the IPCC ceiling of $50. So it can be understood that the impact of High Speed Rail on CO2 would be inconsequential and exorbitantly costly. Hence, the CO2 emission reduction due to high speed rail cannot be legitimately included as an element of a rational strategy for reducing GHG emissions. Considering the untenable traffic impact projections, California High Speed Rail Authority s claims are considered specious. To attain more liability to the claims of the authority, an independent assessment of HSR s CO2 impacts should be made, including both operations and construction. In his book, Popper Selections, Popper vehemently opposes ideas such as historicism, collectivism, utopian principles, and the Marxian ideology. He asserts, there cannot, of course, be any rational discussion in a school of this kind (Popper 1985). Popper then places emphasis on the importance on the rise of tradition, meaning a tradition in places of learning that encourages critical discussion and new ideas, perhaps even rewards them. Not only does Popper maintain that this rise of criticism is important, he also states that those being criticized should be tolerant of dissenting view points and seek to understand the opposition rather than rejecting it. Furthermore, Popper states, the rationalist tradition, the tradition of critical discussion, represents the only practicable way of expanding our knowledge (Popper 1985). These ideas of critical discussion and critical rationalism essentially serve as the thesis to Popper s theory. Popper s reliance on the testability, falsifiability, scientific methodology and accumulating data and theories serve as the main components of Popperism. The Popperian ideology seems to be directly in opposition to historicism. With the perspectives of these theorists in mind I can explain how Racism, Classism, in conjunction with Feminism are among the largest social problems human beings face in the world today. For one, they have strong beliefs in gods and goddesses and they have a self consciousness of their cultivation with the natural world. The main character of this poem is Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk. Gilgamesh is 1/3rd human and 2/3rds god, incredibly handsome, and is one of the strongest humans. Wealth distribution in America has not been this unequal since 1928, the year before the Great Depression started. The wealth gap needs to shrink due to the negative repercussions of wealth inequality. Wealth inequality leads to inequality in other aspects of life. Realism is a theory attempting to explain international relationships, which says that states struggle to hold power and will inevitably be in conflict with each other because of this.
