(Detailed Weekly Summary)
Started Filming- We asked people who were in Manchester town
centre and who weren’t busy. We walked round Manchester’s
main locations such as Printwork’s, Urbis, Piccadilly Gardens,
Oxford road, Market street and G-mex because we thought these
are the places that more people will come too. In the videos we
captured we mainly got tourist who were willing to participate.
We each took it turns to go up to people and ask if they want to be
in our video. If they were abit unsure about it then we explained as
a group what it was for and how it would help us. We stayed a full
day in town due to the fact the weather was in very good condition
and many people where about.
Continue to film people around Manchester as many as
we can get in order to spend more time on the my
editing.

Once again we went out to Manchester filming however this time
we only stayed half a day due to the fact nobody wanted to be in
our video and as a group we began to think to was a waste of time
so we decided to carry out the rest of the filming in college on
students. While we was there we split of into two teams me and
Matt and Olivia and Luke. Me and matt stayed on Piccadilly
gardens while Olivia and Luke went to the lowery hotel due to the
fact they heard Justin Bieber was staying there so therefore loads
of girls will also be there. After about two hours me and Matt
walked to the Lowery hotel due to the fact we only managed to
persuade two people to be in our music video. As we met up with
Olivia and Luke we found out they had only got a few people so
therefore we all went home. The weather was also very dismal so
that made it harder to film.
To film any other footage we need around college. This
should be straight forward due to the fact we knew
more people around college therefore have a better
chance of getting people to star in our video.

We began to film our missing pieces around college which went
very well. Many students who we knew where more than happy to
be in our music video which helped us out a lot. We felt better
filming in college due to the fact we knew more people which
made life a lot easier and we were able to get loads of shots. We
also managed to go round and ask teachers who teach at the

Once again we began filming around college due to us not having
enough people singing the chorus. We had a lot of trouble finding
people around college who were willing to participate in our video
due to the fact many of them where embarrassed or in class. The
chorus has been very time consuming and required a lot more
effort than we originally anticipated. We filmed around 5 people
which took us nearly an hour which ended up in very little progress
happening.
To film our verses to spend more time of the editing
aspect. Also while filing our verse to try and gather a
range of different shots to make the music video look
better.

In this week we came across a massive problem due to the fact one
of our group (Luke) quit college. This left us wondering how to film
the verses and required us to sit down as a group and re plan out
music video. We quickly resolved the problem however we all now
had to take on different roles in the group from each one of us
taking turns filming different parts of the music video. Another
problem we came across was the fact were going to have to re-
draw out storyboards due to the fact originally we planned to film
a café scene for the verses but because of Luke leaving and not
much free time we decided it to film it more home bound.
Next week we plan to film the verses which we have
now decided to film at Olivia’s house due to the fact it’s
easier for us as a group. We plan to film all the verse so
that we can spend more time on editing the video
making it look better and run more smoothly.

Here Me, Olivia and Matt made our way to Olivia’s house in order
to film our verse scenes. We filmed the scenes in Olivia’s house
and her Uncles due to the fact Olivia’s Uncle who was our main
focus in the verses. It took use 4 hours in order to get as much
filming as possible. Our main goal was to film all the shots with
Olivia’s Uncle in due to the fact her works and doesn’t have much
free time. I’m very pleased with the amount of filming we got due
to the fact matt filmed many different shots from close ups to
medium shots. This now allows us to play around with editing
making it more interesting to watch.
For the verse we decided to play on the original music video for
call me maybe. The story shows a gardener coming to fix the
garden who’s fairly good looking (Olivia’s uncle). The two girls who

own the house fancy the gardener and do everything they can to
make each other jealous e.g. fighting over who’s going to bring him
a drink. In the end the two girls decide to lock the gardener in the
shed and keep him for themselves.

After we gathered all our footage we then transferred it all into
Adobe Premiere Pro to then start our editing. The editing was
quite straight forward after I put the first clip into place and from
then on the video ran smoothly. Some of the clips we had filmed
seemed to be a different size from some off the other clips so
therefore I had to re size some clips. This however didn’t take very
long and at the same time allowed me to gain anew skill on
Premiere Pro for the future. A problem I found I had with some of
the clips was timing. The timing with some of the clips didn’t match
the rate of the song therefore I either had to shorten the clip of try
and fill blank parts in with an outtake we filmed. In the end I
managed to fill on the blank bits in and my video ran smoothly and
made sense at the same time. I also found that we filmed too
many scenes therefore we had to cut out some of the shots in able
to make the video the same length of time as the song.

Today I finished off my editing which didn’t take very long. After I
finished my editing I rendered the whole video and saved it as my
final video. I was very pleased with the outcome and as it finished
rendering I then uploaded it onto my blog.
