1. Photography & Photographic Practice
Photography Shoot 1
Photographs to be taken – I need to take a range of images which will be
relevant and beneficial to the theme of my magazine. They must look of a
professional standard and include a range of shots.
Location of Photo shoot – I will be using the photography studio in college
as the lighting can be changed to something which makes my images look
more professional. As the background is already plain, this will lessen my
editing time as I will not have to spend time removing unwanted things from
my images.
Date & time of photo shoot - between February 25th – March 05th.
Equipment & Props needed – I will use my classmate Chloe Whittle as my
model and I have briefed her on what to wear and look like to make her
match the artist I have created in my magazine. She will wear a leather
jacket, jeans and boots. I asked her to do her eyes dark and keep her hair
loose and natural.
Techniques that will be used – I will use the lighting in the photography
studio and a range of different shots such a close up and medium shots

How light quality can be used to help convey the visual message – using
different types of light can completely change the look of your image. For
instance, if your image uses natural light it will look more natural and airy,
however if you use other light sources it could end up looking brighter and
harsher.
Health and safety considerations – make sure there are no tripping hazards
or make sure they’re clearly pointed out if there are. Make sure all the
equipment is in full working order and no liquids can go near the electricals.
Make sure my model is fully briefed on the dangers of working in the studio.
