Setting
The setting of the last of us starts with a daughter waiting for her father to come
home to give him a birthday present which she was so excited to give him. Soon
after this she falls asleep to then find herself to be woken up by a scary phone call in
the middle of the night from her uncle who has scared the girl by asking her to find
her dad right away.
In my own opinion I believe that at the start of the
cut sequence its starts with a quick past and then
just stops to make the viewer on edge and it
leaves them wondering about what’s going to
happen and whether or not the girl has been left
on her won. I believe that
Mood
Soon after the mood changes and the girl named Sara find her dad the mood
changes and it becomes very aggressive and her dad actually shoots there friends
the coopers because he has become infected and try’s to go for him and his
daughter this is when noel the dad has a tough decision to just leave with his
brother and daughter.
The Last of us have used different variants of
sounds which change threw out the science to
allow the player to fell a dark and scary feeling so
this makes the player feel like the character so
they become affected to what happens during the
sequence.
Game genre
The game is a survival based game based on survivors who fight for their life by
watching each other’s backs and fighting the infected off one another to survive the
game is based on a man and his daughter in a world all of infection until it all goes
wrong and his daughter dies and the man is all alone for a while.
Threw out the game you experience a verity of
different sounds the sort of sounds you
experience range from a calm happy sound to an
aggressive and dark one this makes players feel
shaken and feel like bad things are about to
happen. Also during the begging the mood starts
to be very loud until the main character walks in.

Narrative
During the opening cut sequence in The Last of us you experience a different variant
of sounds theses sounds allow the mood during the science to go from a dark
moody sound to a calm and relaxed sound when the two characters meet during the
first thirty seconds of the cut sequence you can experience this and understand how
quick the mood can change weather it would be a calm and relaxed mood or a
intense and aggressive mood from the players.
During the opening cut sequence I think the
sound starts of aggressive and dark to give the
player a dark scary feeling until it goes relaxed
and calm and the player starts to relax a bit
before it becomes more intense and makes the
players on edge and alert during this you can tell
that they have used low pitch sounds mixed
together with a slightly high pitched one.
