On September 18, 2015 I interviewed Mrs. Anisha Nix at Ted s Montana Grill in Downtown Decatur,
Georgia at 5:48pm. Mrs. Nix is a Family Consultant Supervisor at the DeKalb County Child
Advocacy Center. I interviewed Mrs. Nix, not only for the position that she holds but also because she
did not start off with a degree in social work or sociology. Before Anisha took an interest in social
services, she gained her masters in Biology from Spelman College. Once done with her undergrad Ms.
Nix decided that she would pursue and ultimately gain her Masters in Social Work at Georgia State
University, then continue on to become a licensed Social Worker. As the Supervisor of the Advocacy

For example most of the money used to keep it running comes from the state of Georgia. So therefore
the state pays DFCS, DFCS in turn pays the advocacy center per day according to how many children
they have and based on the needs of the children. Then out of money that the advocacy center receives
from DFCS they pay the foster parents a certain amount based on the child and/or children that they
have. Once the foster parents are paid, what is left is kept by the advocacy center. Another example
comes from the way that the agency has formed their chain of command. At the top of the chain you

The last time I remember learning about astronomy formally was as far back as elementary school,
