This document provides instructions for an assignment on identifying speech acts in a video clip and conversation. Students are asked to watch a video clip and identify different speech acts as well as common expressions used to perform each act. They then choose a situational context and create a role play conversation applying meaningful use of speech acts. The assignment aims to analyze speech acts in conversation and demonstrate understanding through a collaborative role playing activity.
