On January 13th of 1999, a 17 year old Korean girl by the name of Hae Min Lee
when missing after school in Baltimore, Maryland. Lee s body was discovered in

Lee s ex boyfriend Adnan Syed with the murder six weeks later. The police alleged

In fact there is no evidence tying him to the crime at all except a few fingerprints
and a handprint in Hae Min Lee s car which means that Syed was at some point in

and the amount of force the devil must have used to restrain and kill her. Believing
that the devil had done him a kindness by killing his wife, he tried to contact him
again. This time, the devil told Tom that he must become a slave trader to secure
the treasure. Unwilling to do this, Tom talked the devil down to the position of a
moneylender. Over the years, he became a benevolent figure in his community.

Erik Erikson was a psychoanalyst and based his work off of Sigmund Freud s
ideas about the structure and topography of personality. Unlike Freud s idea that
personality is shaped by the age of five, Erikson believed that personality continues
to change over the life span. With this theory in mind, Erikson came up with a stage
theory of personality development. Stage theories assume that (1) individuals must
progress through specified stages in a particular order, because each stage builds on
the previous stage, (2) progress through these stages is strongly related to age, and

transitions in behavior (Weiten, 2008). Erikson s stage theory was broken down into

Importance Of Writing Reflection
When I had signed up for this class, I thought it was going to be similar to a
humanities course. I thought that we would be learning about how journaling has
evolved and various ways to journal. As the class progressed, I found it to be more of
an art than a humanities class. When this reality did not match my expectation, I was
disappointed. I had to challenge myself to get the most out of this course by changing
my attitude and adjusting my perspective.
As an art class, this would have been an excellent idea and well executed. Being
able to learn about different materials, binding techniques, and adhesives were
helpful in the creation of journals, but it was not what I had expected. One thing
that stands out to me was the research paper, it just did not seem to fit into the class
very well. Most of the students did not know how to use Chicago Style referencing
properly and there was not any class time allotted to learning it nor to working on
the essays. It seemed to be used to check a box rather than to help our understanding.
I think that this essay would have fit into the course much better if we had been
spending time in class learning about various historical journalists and how their
work impacted the region in which it was created. It just did not seem as though our
homework matched our class work, so I was a little thrown off. This imbalance was
especially apparent because the room was deemed technology free, so we could not
even work on our essays while in class.

INTRO: Despite difference of around 400 years between them Greek poet Homer
and tragedian playwright Euripides explore many of the same themes in their works
the Odyssey and Trojan Women (written by each respectively). Both works are

from a family seemingly stricken by mental illness, with six close relative in
mental hospitals. At the age nine his father died, and Fish was sent to an orphanage.
At that point Fish experienced bullying, and whippings from caretakers. It wasn t
until three years later that his mother took on a government job and was able to
take him back. He began a relationship with another boy, where he was introduced to
