difficult in his reading comprehension as when he was prompted to recall what he
read, he was unable to do so. Likewise, when taking his achievement test, he had
trouble reading the scripts involved and comprehending the information presented in
those passages. The school psychologist also noted that he struggled with the reading
comprehension portion of the achievement test but did well in the math portion. It
also took Anthony two minutes to read the first sentence of the confidentiality form,
which demonstrates a poor reading rate for him. Furthermore, it is shown that
Anthony avoids activities that require him to read such as when he is at church, he
does not use a book during service. He uses an alternative source to compensate for
this, stating that he prefers to pray or sing from memory. When asked to read aloud in

Personal Mineral Intake
Being aware of your own personal mineral intake is quite an essential part of your
well being. It is often overlooked by both me and others. There are two main types
of minerals: trace minerals and macro minerals. The term macro mineral refers to
the group of minerals that you need to make sure you include relatively large
amounts of in your diet. Macro minerals refer to minerals such as sulfur, calcium,
sodium, and potassium. Trace minerals refer to the group of minerals that your body
needs miniscule amounts of in order to work properly and be healthy. Trace
minerals refer to minerals such as copper, zinc, selenium, and iron. Our mineral
intake comes directly from plant based sources and indirectly from animal based
sources. In addition,

The Reluctant Fundamentalist, By Kathy H.
Similarly to The Reluctant Fundamentalist, the novel s narrator and protagonist,
Kathy H., speaks as though she is talking to someone, but a specific conversational
companion is never identified. The use of the dramatic monologue still allows the
reader to develop an intimate understanding of Kathy, her feelings, and her story.
Unlike The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which fictionalizes the prejudice and
discrimination encountered by an actual minority group, Never Let Me Go features
the prejudice and discrimination faced by a fictional minority minority group. The
clones are regarded as other, as non human (Griffin 654), so they are reduced to a
derelationalized unit of production in the service of commercial and/or political
agendas (Griffin 654) with minimal societal outcry and push back. Basically, because
the clones are not seen as truly human, they are not given full human rights. To
society and the people that create them, the clones lives are just the means to an end.
Griffin notes that the clones if they do not die in the early stages of the organ
harvesting process may be treated as mere matter that is gradually stripped of its
material substance until that substance cannot sustain itself any longer or has no
further use value (657), illustrating the extent of the objectification that the clones
face.
Like Changez, Kathy H. is protective of her home. In her case, home is Hailsham,
the boarding school in which she was raised. She recounts her experiences
The Dangers Of Drinking And Driving
I think drinking and driving is terrible because of how many accidents there are and
because there are so many people getting away with drinking and driving these days.
Driving while under the influence is bad because there are so many wrecks while
driving drunk.
The risk of people driving drunk has increased over the years because cops have
started to slow down on catching people that are driving under the influence. We are
all at risk to drive under the influence but most of us decide not to because there are
smart people In the world beside the people that actually drink and drive but most
of them are complete idiots and need to stop driving drunk before they have to live
with the guilt of knowing that they just killed someone. Male drivers between 22 45
who are old are responsible for over 50% of all drunk driving accidents but it s more
often because of the 22 25 year olds because there at drinking age and get drunk the
first few days of being able to drink because they are beginners and they can t handle
how much they are going to drink and they want to leave after getting drunk because
they don t feel good and want to get home but most likely they get in a car crash
and have to go to the hospital for injuries. They also don t remember getting in the
crash because they just usually leave and the next day they forget what happen
because of the hangover the next day and they usually stay inside the next day
because they don t feel good. They don t care though because

Cover Gray Naturally for Healthy, Beautiful Hair
Seeing more than a few strands of tinsel in your hair lately? You re not alone. Going
gray is one of the most prominent signs of aging, and it occurs when your hair loses
a natural pigment called melanin . Hair may also go gray due to a genetic
predisposition, exposure to environmental toxins, and poor overall health.
When you re at the point where yanking out a strand or two out just doesn t cut it
anymore, you may be tempted to run out and grab a box of hair dye. Take a moment
to reconsider, though. Research has shown that the synthetic chemicals in most
commercial hair dyes can be harmful to your health.

Galapagos Islands Drought
In 1976 there was a drought that caused many finches to die off in the Galapagos
islands. Two scientists, Rosemary and Peter Grant, studied the island for 6 months
each year for 5 years. They recorded, that during the dry season of 1976, there was
not even a centimeter of rainfall. On average, rainfall during the dry season is about
12 centimeters. This drought continued through both seasonsof 1977. During the wet
season there was 25 centimeters of rainfall and 0 centimeters of rainfall during the
dry season. The average rainfall during wet seasons at the Galapagos islands is 179
centimeters. Taken this information you can see how little rainfall can have a large
effect on the ecosystem. The water deprived plants had a harder time producing...

Some finches inherited longer beaks, this allowed them to open more seeds and
access more food. Inheriting the longer beaks is not proven, but any animal inherited
traits just like humans. So gathering this information we can conclude that they
inherit their long beaks. Having a long beak was crucial in order for the finches to
survive through the drought. Two finches, for example, that survived the drought,
had bigger beak sizes. Gf69 had a beak length of 13.01 millimeters and weighed
13.41 grams. Another finch that survived the drought had a beak length of 10.97
and weighed about 12 grams. Yet a finch that didn t survive had a beak length of
9.92 millimeters. All 10 finches that survived through the drought had longer
beaks that averaged to 11.939 millimeters. This is a large beak size compared to a
bird that did not survive with a beak length of 7.21 millimeters. A bigger beak
length allows a finch to pry open harder seeds unlike the finches with smaller beaks.
Some field notes were taken from the Grants, and they told us that a finch was
spotted struggling to open a seed. For this reason finches with longer beaks were
able to get food more easily than finches with smaller beaks. In conclusion, some
finches had a longer lifespan than other for the reason that they had longer beaks. On
top of that they were able to survive the

Fourteenth and fifteenth century Italians characterized the Renaissance as a new
golden age of intellectual achievement or rebirth of classical civilization. Not only
was the Renaissance a revival of intellect but also of art; Renaissance art made a
significant impact throughout Europe. Artistic masterpieces in sculpture, painting, and
architecture were created and had revolutionized the world of art. In the late fifteenth
century, wealthy individuals and families would sponsor artists to design self

Many art historians found a musical harmony in the space composition of School of

this resonance of space, to make its infinite continuity perceptible in the harmony of
the proportional relationships, (each scene has a definite center and focal point of its
own, and in effect its proportional mean) Raphael turned for guidance to the foremost
master of space: Bramante (90). This same space composition is represented in his

My Life as a Quadriplegic College Student Essay
My name is Rainee McDaniel and I am an 18 year old freshman at Texas State
University. 1. My college experience is unlike any other because I am a quadriplegic.
Quadriplegia is damage to the spinal cord around the area of one s skull and neck,
(Nathalie Smith, 2013). I can t use any of my limbs, my arms and legs are basically
useless to me. My wheelchair is what gets me around, I depend on it. (JГіzefowski,

There are many changes that Texas State could make to accommodate my needs. I
am in a wheelchair, and while it is quite handicap accessible, there is always room
for improvement. We all know that this campus is one that involves a large amount
of hills and stairs. These are not easy things to deal with when you are a quadriplegic
because wheelchairs do not mix well with these things. Also, I often feel alone.
(JГіzefowski, P., Bolach, E). I know others like me are out there and feel alone as
well. If Texas State could make an effort to recognize and bring together people
with severe conditions it would decrease the alone feeling in each and every
quadriplegic. It would also make others used to being around people with these
conditions and help them see that we are no different. Clubs and organizations
could be created in order to increase awareness of diversity at Texas State. These
changes can and will affect everyone on campus. A more accessible campus would
mostly just affect those with disabilities. We also have the power of words which
can make everyone more aware of this disability. Once someone is more aware of
something that they do not understand, they understand how to handle being in a
situation where they must deal with this. In conclusion, if everyone was more aware
of quadriplegics, and they understood that we are no different, we would feel less
alone. People wouldn t be afraid to talk to us and they wouldn t treat us different than
everybody
Comparison Of Alexander Pope And The Rape Of The Lock
From reading Alexander Pope s The Rape of the Lock and Jonathan Swift s The
Lady s Dressing Room it is clear that both these poets are misogynists and they
display their dislike for woman by using mocking language and they use their skill of
satire throughout both the poems. This can be viewed as very insulting to women of
the 17th century and it mocks the image of women having any type of significance in
society at this time.
In Pope s The Rape of the Lock he highly insulting towards women and he focus on
a horrible incident that happened to the main character of the poem, Belinda s hair

laughable event, although it is not very serious, but Belinda s appearance ... Show

Also attending this party is the Barron who has been plotting against her to steal a
lock of her hair. This causes rivalry between two families and Pope tries to laugh

he wrote to her trying to explain he says I know how disagreeable it is to make use
of the hard words before a lady; but tis so much the concern of a poet to have his
works understood, particularly by your se, that you must give me leave to explain
two of three difficult terms. (Longman, 2471) Pope is not only mocking Belinda here
but also every woman in this time, suggesting that she won t understand what he is
trying to say to her unless he explains himself. Pope suggests that the only thing
Belinda is good for is looking nice and this is a very shallow view on women. He
focusses a lot on how long it takes Belinda to get ready in the morning but does not
take into consideration that she is only doing this to please men. Men, like Pope, at
this time looked down on women in society so much that women felt like their beauty
was the most important thing. The fact that Pope would mock these insecurities

Nora Helmer In A Doll s House By Henrik Ibsen
Out of all the poems and short stories I have read this semester, the story that got
me intrigued the most was A Doll s House by Henrik Ibsen. I could go on about
every detail and characters of this story, but I will be focusing on a character named
Nora Helmer. When I think of Nora Helmer s character in The Doll House, I often
refer to a quote that says Womanwas taken out of man; not out of his head to top
him, nor out of his feet to be trampled underfoot; but out of his side to be equal to
him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved. (Matthew Henry)
It is a normal thing for a woman, especially Nora to be taken care of and sincerely
given love and affection in an marriage. As most readers go in depth in the play, it
seems like Nora has the perfect life and couldn t ask for anything more than to be
able to keep her family secured despite the serious debt they are facing and to have
the love of her kids and her significant other Torvald. But, that all changes in the
end when she realizes that her world had been a doll s house all along and that she
hasn t discovered her true purpose of life. She never had the opportunity as a
woman in her time to see the value of life and never had the ability for making
decisions for herself. She grew up being her father s doll child and continued to still
be a doll for the husband she had found. Her role as a woman, wife, and mother
sheltered her from the boundless outside world. Because of her restricted

Negative Effects Of Immigration In Australia
Earlier this year business leader Dick Smith lobbied the Government to half the
number of immigrants arriving in Australia (Benns, 2017). Senator Paulin Hanson

Immigration has some negative impacts, High levels of Immigration are beneficial to
the economy. This essay will discuss the impact immigration has on gross domestic
product, the labour market and on populationgrowth.
Migration policy has played a crucial role in the development of Australian Society.
In 1901 Australia had the White Australia policy. In 1962 the Liberal Holt
government replaced the Immigration Restriction Act and replaced it with the
Migration Act which loosened the restriction on immigrants from non European
Countries. Finally, in 1972 under the Labor Whitlam government the last vestiges of
the white Australia policy were removed through a series of legislative amendments,
including a provision that made racial discrimination in relation to immigration
illegal under Australian law. Thanks to these legislative changes Australia was
opened to the world. This allowed us to open cultural exchanges with our neighbours
in the economically powerful nations of China and India. This trade of Goods, Ideas

separate walkway along the centre line for pedestrians and cyclists. Since there are
roadway, height and weight limits, commercial vehicles and buses are banned from
using this bridge and it is toll free, both ways. The bridge is maintained by New York

Some of Brooklyn Bridges worst accidents were caused through cable rigging. In

Indeed, a robot should have some system of self preservation reflexes as long as
they do not interfere with its prime responsibilities. But, as mentioned before,
robots can under certain circumstances interpret the Laws differently and what is
more important can be seen as a better version of a human being. Asimov (3) wrote
through the words of Susan Calvin: Then you don t remember a world without
robots. There was a time when humanity faced the universe alone and without a

faithful, more useful, and absolutely devoted to him. Mankind is no longer alone.
Have you ever thought of it that way? ... They re a cleaner, better breed than we

more than that, as superior beings. Robots that serve are just a first step on the way
to developing artificial intelligence opening new possibilities to no end. However,
Asimov`s Three Laws do not go beyond the definition of robots as slaves, which,
considering human history, is immoral and
The Bad Beginning Book Report
I have recently read A series of unfortunate events *The Bad Beginning* by
Lemony Snicket and it shows how the bond between three brother and sisters
could be broken by their evil uncles greed. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are
very wealthy children, while at the beach their parents died in a fire that had also
burnt down their house. Because of this tragedy they are forced to go live with their
evil relative named Count Olaf, who is out to steal their family fortune. There are 4
main characters that are in this book. Violet is the most important main characters

Ideas In The Classroom
14.Identify occasions on which the teacher specifically does not present the ideas that
he or she wants students to learn but instead conducts activities in which the students
must construct that knowledge for themselves. There really were no instances when
the teacher presented any ideas for students to construct their own knowledge of an
idea, except when they began regrouping with subtraction. She gave the students
problems to work out to see if they could do it or not before actually going over how
to do it. Other than that, she models everything and the whole class guides her
through the model or she guides them through the model. Much of what she is doing
is modeling the concepts for them before they complete the tasks that she assigns
them. 15.Look for instances in which students statements or behaviors reflect
misconceptions about the subject matter being studied. Many students were confused
about what were expected of them during certain activities. They were hesitant to say
anything, but their faces and body language reflected confusion and nervousness.

Tobacco Kills One Person Every Six Seconds (Sahil). The
Tobacco kills one person every six seconds (Sahil). The use of tobacco has been
around for many years, and it seems only to be getting worse. The human body is
affected in an abundance of ways due to the abuse of tobacco products. If individuals
would stop the use of tobacco, this would help prevent many diseases, negative health
consequences and possibly early death according to their age. Tobaccouse is a
problem because, it causes numerous health effects on individuals, such as addiction,

Next, another cause to why tobacco is harmful, is because some mothers smoke
during pregnancy. When mothers smoke while pregnant, it can cause life
threatening issues for their child. A mother that smokes is much more likely to
give birth to a child with defects. Congenital heart disease is one of the most
popular effects (Banschbach 349). This is a problem because it is not only putting
the mother s life in danger, but it is not giving a baby the chance to be healthy and
free from defects; some of these defects could be entirely prevented by not
smoking. Not only does smoking cause heart defects, but it also can cause a lack
of oxygen and nutrition while the baby is in the womb (Banschbach 349).
Banschbach, found that many babies whose mothers smoke, are born too early,
and have a low birth weight, making it more likely the baby will become sick or die
(349). While these examples are the main effects, babies can also suffer from
simpler physical effects such as, a cleft lip or palate. Lastly, one of the most harmful
effects to a child due to smoking is the chance of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
(Banschbach 349).
Consequently, the use of tobacco is not only harmful to the person consuming it, but
it also influences everyone
Healthy And Outdoor Sports
Nowadays, everyone is heading towards the route of being healthy. Everything that
relates to health and being healthy is the main objective for societies these days. This
includes participating in outdoor activities or sports as well. It is agreed that outdoor
sports are fun, enjoyable and also could help in maintaining a good health, and it is
supported by the proverb given by John F. Kennedy that Physical fitness is not
only one of the most important keys to a healthy body. It is the basis of dynamic
and creative intellectual activity . Besides that, (Kapoor, 2014) also agreed that
outdoor games is essential in upholding good health within oneself. Hence, if it is
seen from the right angle, these outdoor sports could be source for exercise,
recreation as well as adventure. As we know, children or even adults would prone to
do something that is fun and enjoyable compared to a routine work; so that is the
reasonwhy outdoor sport is the best activity to be take part in.

brothers. According to Wolf, you cannot even tell that they are brothers because of
their physical differences, but as the story goes into more detail we can tell that
they are different in every aspect. One of the major differences is that one is
wealthy and the other is always in need of financial assistance. The older brother,
Pete, is a successful real estate agent while his younger brother, Donald, works as a
painter whenever he can. The two brothers are very different in their belief about
what is valuable. Pete is a man that has worked hard and values what he has acquired.
His brother Donald, on the other hand, values sharing whatever he has. Even if...

and believes that everyone should have the same as others. He feels that sharing
what you have is honorable and the way it should be. When Webster, a man they
give a ride to, says, Everyone will prosper together. Donald agrees by saying, That s
great. That s the way it ought to be. (399) Not only does Donald believe that
everyone should share, but he has a deep concern with the well being of others. He
is more concerned with the fate of his and everybody else s soul. Wolf states,
Donald couldn t content himself with worrying about his own soul. He had to
worry about everyone else s, and especially Pete s. (391) Donald has a deep feeling
that his brother is danger because of the way he has put money and material things
before believing in God. His need to be some sort of savior has caused him to put
his own needs behind the needs of others. He doesn t want much for himself. When
Pete holds five twenties out the window Donald stepped back as if horrified, and

The Mechanisms Of Cyanobacterial Z Pathway Photolysis

BIOL 238 Test 3 2015 Friday, March 20 Jon Funder Hansen 1. Compare and contrast
the mechanisms of cyanobacterial Z pathway photolysis with those of aerobic
lithotrophy. Include reference to energy, redox reactions, the role of membranes, and
small molecule energy carriers. The cyanobacterial Z pathway photolysis and aerobic
lithotrophy are two structurally similar energy yielding pathways. There are only two
known sources of energy available to organisms on earth, stemming from either redox
reactions or light energy (photonic energy) .Lithotrophs are a kind of chemotropic
organism that employ redox reactions using the oxidation of inorganic electron
donors as an energy supply, and in the case of aerobic lithotrophy uses oxygen as the
final electron acceptor. The first step of commonality between the two pathways
begins with the oxidation reaction of water in the case of photolysis in cyanobacteria,
and the oxidation of an inorganic molecule such as hydrogen gas, iron ions, hydrogen
sulfide and ammonium in lithotrophic organisms. In the Z pathway, photosystem II,
pigments are excited by four photon in the antenna complex (phycobilisome), which
passes the excitation along to the next pigment in the complex until it reaches the
reaction center (chlorophyll a). The reaction center then uses the energy from the four
photons to split two water molecules in an oxidation reaction, generating four
electrons, four hydrogen ions and an oxygen molecule. Lithotrophy differs

The Symbol Of The Mockingbird
As I am reading, I evaluated the symbol of the mockingbird. To begin with, the
mockingbird symbolizes innocence and selflessness. There were two main people
in the novel who represented the mockingbird and showed on many accounts,
innocence and selflessness: Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. First of all, the
mockingbird could be represented by Boo Radley. Miss Maudie told the children,
Mockingbirds don t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy (Lee 119). Boo
Radley, like the mockingbirds can not do anything to harm anyone because he is
constantly in his house. He could not be accused of doing anything wrong because
he was always in his house. Like a mockingbird, Boo has done nothing to anyone
but help them out. He gave them a blanket during the fire, gave the kids many
different toys, and even saved the kid s lives. Mockingbirds help out people by
singing songs and they do not do anything harmful like destroying people s gardens
and Towards the end, Scout and Jem both outgrow the scariness of Boo Radley.
Towards the end of the novel, Scout said, I sometimes felt a twinge of remorse, when
passing by the old place, at ever having taken part in what must have been sheer
torment to Arthur Radley (Lee 324). This moment shows that Boo is seen as
innocent by others and he does not deserve to be tormented. Furthermore, Scout now
realizes that it was not right to torment Boo when he had not done anything. Another
time, when the kids were trying to send a message to
The Low Calorie Frozen Microwaveable Food Company
Introduction
This is a follow up to the previous two assignments for the low calorie frozen
microwaveable food company and how the company wants to expand and make long
term budgeting decisions. With facing increases in costs and also the expansion this
assignment will answer the basic questions for review about what the company can
do to be able to move ahead with these challenges and come out profitable.
Pricing strategies for making a change in this microwaveable low calories frozen food
would be to look at the basics of pricing strategies and the market mix. To create a
pricing strategy, the company needs to take into account the target group and the
willingness to pay for the product to make sure that the market segmentation and
where the price is going to be set at, should be a key point in determining the
anticipated rate of price since the product in itself is elastic in nature. Being an elastic
company means that the company has flexibility, the ability to meet fluctuations and
unplanned changes to demand the potential to take on more contracts and not forfeit
seasonal work, financial stability, accounting for fluctuations in a far more
controlled way, increase work flow without jeopardizing SLAs or impeding
regulatory standards, improved staff efficiencies from well organized working
conditions (retrieved Logistics Transport Focus, 16(11), 56 57.) By this the change in
price will not necessarily cause a huge change in the quantity of demand by the
consumers,
Ancient Greek Columns
During the archaic period, the Greeks stopped using wood as their primary building
material. Instead, they used stone, preferable marble, to make their large buildings.
Hence the birth of stone in Greek structures. The stone was very durable and had
superior strength, unlike the wood. The Greeks cut the stone to form columns.
According to Mark Cartwright(2012) from Ancient History Encyclopedia The
columns were an architectural invention, which allowed for the support of ceilings
without the use of wood to walls. Without solid walls, the larger buildings would
have more sources of light. Columns were used primarily for Greek temples, such as
the Parthenonwhich displayed a great use of columns. The Parthenon primary source
of light came from the sun.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Greeks created three different architectural orders for columns. The three

Greeks first architectural order. Although it had a simple capital and no base, it was

that was in the form of a double scroll. The Ionic columns also had a base unlike the
Doric order. The Corinthian column had a capital that was sculpted with flowers and
leaf designs. The Corinthian column also had a base, but it is the tallest among all
three orders. With these three orders Greek temples were built lager with more
features since the stone columns can withstand more weight. These three orders also
gave Greek architects the flexibility to add more sources of light to their

Charles I Grand Remonstrance
John Pym felt it was necessary to issue King Charles I with the Grand
Remonstrance because he believed that Charles was abusing his power. Pym
planned to use the Grand Remonstrance as a part of his campaign to transfer control
of the armed forces to Parliament by undermining the confidence and power in the
King (as well as his ministers), and by further demonstrating the integrity of
Parliament. The Parliament had previously gained power over Queen Elizabeth, and
intended to keep it, which was obviously not in Charles mind to do so. Charles I
believed in the Divine Right of Kings (although Parliament doesn t), meaning he
believed that his power was given to him by god, therefore giving him more reason to

The protestants had been upset by Charles since 1625, when he married the
Catholic Queen Henrietta Maria of France. They were even more disturbed when
Charles, along with Archbishop Laud (William Laud 1573 1645), began making
changes to the Church of England, by decorating with stained glass windows,
tapestries, statues and candlesticks. Furthermore, Charles demanded that the new
English Prayer Book be used in Scottish Churches. This was a major mistake as the
Scots were more anti Catholic than the English (moreover, many of the English
were Puritans an extreme branch of Protestantism). Charles foolish actions caused
riots in Scotland against the new service, creating a war of which he lost. I believe
Charles thought he could do what he want, and govern according to his own
conscience even at a time where England was a very intolerant country as many
people still hated Catholics and their ideas. Charles also heavily believed in the
Divine Right of Kings the belief that God had appointed him to be King, which I
think would have contributed to the conspiracy formed by the Protestants that the
King was leaning towards Catholicism. This would have given King Charles more
motive to refuse to sign the Grand

In the month of March 2011, Japan was struck hard by a natural disaster. This
earthquake was known as the Great East Japan Earthquake which caused a tsunami

During the year of 2011, Japanese people did not travel and people refrained from
leisure activities (Euromonitor, 2013). About a year after the earthquake, tourism
grew and there was an increased desire to travel (Euromonitor, 2013). The

Outcome
There is a need to develop an action plan and apply goals relative to the
organization s purpose. Their action plan was to reach 18 million visitors by 2016
(Euromonitor, 2013). And by 2030 approximately 30 million a year. That a 12
million visitor increase. Japanese government is looking to focus on opening up
tourism markets of Southeast Asian countries (Euromonitor, 2013). The outcome of
inbound visitors is expected to increase by 7% (Euromonitor, 2013). With the relaxed
visa requirements, there has been a fast growth of tourists to Japan in 2012. The
highest number of inbound arrivals were from Thailand and increased 77% with
257,000 trips (Euromonitor, 2013). Under the campaign there were promotions such
as TV shows in Indonesia focusing on Japanese culture.
Target Market
The target market of Japan is the visitors from the Southeast Asia region. The
Southeast Asia region includes Thai, Malaysian, and Indonesia. By targeting these
visitors, it is a new hope for promising markets for Japan s tourism industry . Japan
should also target the increased retiree population. In Japan the senior citizens have a
passion for travelling. Japan s travel companies have accommodated this target
market. With the new demographic changing, there is a need for operators to take a
grasp on accommodating this target market (Euromonitor, 2013).

Revenge In Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, And The
Furies
The Oresteia trilogy, including the tragedies Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and
The Furies, explores the theme of revenge on most of the characters. These plays
contain a strong sense of brutality against civilians because there were lots of
slaughtering within the house of Atreus. The decision of Agamemnonsacrificing his
youngest daughter, Iphigenia as a stepping stone to travel and conquer Troy
provoked the death of several others throughout the play. Agamemnon clearly faces a
dilemma between war accomplishments and his daughter, but in the end he chose to
have what was best for his people. Because of this decision, justice was viewed as an
act of retaliation because the characters in Oresteiatakes the role of providing
punishments to another individual for their past wrongs. Aeschylus presents the first
play, Agamemnon as Clytemnestrasets a plan to kill Agamemnon, the second play,
The Libation Bearers as Orestes avenging against Clytemnestra for murdering his
father, and the third play, The Furies as Orestes getting tormented by matricide. This
must be understood that acts of vengeance fails to achieve true justice because it only
creates disharmony in society. Although the characters of Aegisthus, Clytemnestra,
Orestes, and the Furies were driven by revenge on someone else, Aeschylus reveals
a final verdict in court is the best way to achieve justice for societies.
In Agamemnon, Clytemnestra finally murders Agamemnon for killing her beloved
daughter, Iphigenia due

Mohamad Sidani showed us the practical side of what we learnt in the course
regarding decision making. For example, while studying, we learn the concepts in
a general manner. However, the challenge is in applying them to each
circumstance we face. As he explained, the process of taking a decision follows the
same concept we have learnt, however; not word by word. It is more spontaneous
and to him it s very important to take his time, when possible, to study the different
alternatives and their possible outcomes. In addition, he weighs the possible benefits
against the risk of each option. After making up his mind, he keeps the decision to
himself and makes sure it s the best solution before announcing and implementing it.
He admits that intuition is one of the factors he bases his decisions on and sum up to
20%. However, it s not enough if it s not backed up by something
Why We Crave Horror Movies
In his article Why We Crave Horror movies, Stephen King stresses the fact that we
are all mentally ill, and explains why watching horror films is an effective way to
deal with our inner insanity. According to King, we are all insane by human nature,
and are made up of anticivilization emotions. These emotions are integral parts of
our personalities, and in order to stay healthy, they demand periodic exercise. But
living in society has taught us to repress these emotions, which is why he argues that
watching horror films provide us with this psychological relief, allowing us to
indirectly deal with anticivilization emotions. According to King, horror movies
deliberately appeal to the worst in us, and therefore, perform the dirty job of
satisfying our inner monsters. I disagree with King because horror movies can also
have negative effects. In addition, people have different ways of channeling out
uncivilized emotions.
Horror movies can have negative psychological effects. Although some people enjoy
the thrill and nastiness of horror movies, I, for one, do not. Watching horror films
give me nightmares, and make me extra paranoid. Rather than my inner psyche
feeling satisfied, I feel disturbed. Watching horror films can also cause heightened
stress and anxiety. Under more serious conditions, horror films can even cause
PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A woman named Caroline appeared on the
Dr. Phil show, who after watching a horror filmcalled Psycho,
The Discovery Of Polymer And Plastic Demand
When many units of repeating molecules react together, monomers, the reaction will
yield a product in the form of a polymer (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). The
discovery of polymers began in 1920, with the belief of Hermann Staudinger, that
there existed a molecule consisting of many smaller repeating molecules, under the
name macromolecule (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). Nowadays, polymerand
plasticdemand is even higher than that of copper, aluminium, and even steel, due to
their versatile applications in many different industries (Matse1.matse.illinois.edu,
2016). Polymer synthesis can be either synthetic or natural, and can produce many
forms of polymers, depending on the involved monomers, and the intended purpose
for said polymers (Essentialchemicalindustry.org, 2016). This process involves three
main steps, initiation or separating of the double bonds of the to be monomer,
propagation or the joining of these monomers, and termination, when the desired
chain length has been reached (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). History is brimful
with scientific discoveries both intentional, and completely accidental, however, it
can be seen that the majority of polymers were crafted due to societal demand,
although the method of actual synthesis initially may have been serendipitous. Two
of the polymers scientifically researched and synthesised due to demand of the times
were synthetic rubber, and Bakelite (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016).
Many polymers were researched and

Preparation of the herb
Qiang huo can be picked up at spring and fall. It is the crude herb that is required to
go through impurities removal, washing, infiltrating equally and cut into thick slice
and dry under the sun (Yang, A. nd).
Quality of herb
A good quality of qiang huo physically present brown skin and yellow white internal

the pharmacopeia of China (2010), volatile oil has been modified drop from 2.8%

Sichuan ganzi is average 2.50% (ml/g) the highest is only 2.79 % (ml/g) among 6

Variable Rate Mortgage
One of the options available to the consumer in mortgages is the variable rate
mortgage. In variable mortgage, the interest rate is geared to the prime rate. When
the prime rate is low, your mortgage interest rate is also low. However, when the
interest rates start going up, the mortgage interest rate also goes up. Quite often, even
when the mortgagerate has gone up, the monthly payment remains the same, but the
bank may adjust the payment once or twice a year to take into account the rising
interestrates. How often this adjustment will take place is stated in the mortgage
documents.
For those who are nervous about the changes, the security of five year, or longer,
fixed loans are the best option; however, there is a cost for this comfort. Long term
fixed rate mortgages are relatively expensive ... Show more content on

Before locking in the rate, you should consider your own personal situation. as well,
If you are thinking to sell the property and move, you should not lock into a fixed
rate mortgage as at the time of selling, you may be asked to retire the mortgage and it
may cost you interest penalties.
In the economic period of rising interest rates, you should also not borrow to the
limit. Either go for a fixed rate mortgage or if you are going to opt for a variable
rate mortgage, allow your self some room so that even when the rates go up, it will
not strain you financially. Twenty percent cushion may be what you should consider,
e.g. if your regular payment is $1,200 dollars a month, you should be able to handle
payment of up to $1,440 without too much strain. That increase of $240 dollar is
equivalent to a 20% cushion.
If you have a variable rate mortgage, and it is within 2% of the current rates, it may
not help you to lock in the mortgage at fixed rates. There may not be any real
benefit, as changing the mortgage will involve expenses such as legal, appraisal and
processing fees if
Ancient Egypt Skin Care History
Complete Guide of the History of Skincare
Ancient Egypt 3000 BC 1070 BC
The Egyptians were always seeking perfection which didn t stop at design of myriads.
Their quest of the perfection also involved human appearance.
The famous Egyptian, Cleopatra had her skin care techniques recorded. Some of these
methods included bathing in milk and using aloe vera.
Both men and women would bathe daily and use exfoliating scrubs made from sand
and aloe vera. The Egyptians also developed formulas that could fade stretch marks
for women. Ancient Egyptians appreciated youthfulness and beauty. Because of this,
they developed many potions designed to smooth away wrinkles and regrow lost hair
in males.

Women now started to look for skin paling herbs and remedies. The quest for pale
skin would now become popular among Chinese. However, it would not be long
before this look gave way to face powders, skin lighteners and bold make.
Imperial China: 618 BC 1644 BC
Imperial China built on the traditional skin car traditions and took a more holistic
approach. The first skin care system may have been developed during this period. As
she developed her methods, she recorded them so that she could share them with
other women in the court. Women would clean their face s with natural cleansers
made from seaweed and jelly fish.
They also believed that by eating black beans and sesame seeds it would improve
the skin. Special massage techniques and facial exercises were also used to improve
the circulation in her cheeks and forehead.
Ancient Greece: 750 BC 323 BC
During this periods, fruits, nuts and vegetables were used to make oils and lotions.
Greek woman found their own method for distilling oils and essences from herbs
and other plants. Their goal was smooth and supple skin with the ideal Greek woman
seeking pale skin. They coated their faces with white powder which was made from
Temperature Analysis Of Temperature During The Summer
Temperature Analysis
The expectations I held when first given this assignment are echoed in the conceptual
models presented in the guidance document: locations situated close to the ocean
ought to exhibit cooler temperatures during the summer months while maintaining
slightly warmer temperatures during the winter and that more inland locations should
display slightly higher temperatures within the summer time but lower temperatures
during the winter months. This expectation was largely influenced by the knowledge
I have incurred while living in a coastal area: wind and surf carry cooler air to the
coast during the summer while carrying warmer air to land during the winter. Upon
reviewing the recorded temperatures within the six ... Show more content on

As these locations have similar enough latitudes, 27.9 and 28 degrees north
respectively, it is unlikely that the results are skewed. Continuing to follow the
notion proposed within the given conceptual model, the southern stations showed
that the inland city of Devil s Garden experienced substantially colder winters
compared to the winter time temperatures seen in Miami Beach. Encountering an
average winter temperature of 51.4 degrees, Devil s Garden is approximately 12
degrees cooler than Miami Beach s average minimum winter temperature of 63.6.
These locations, however, did not exhibit such a large disparity in summer time
temperatures with Devil s Garden s maximum average displayed at approximately
92 degrees and Miami Beach s maximum average displaying exactly 87 degrees.
Upon further investigation, it appears that the discrepancy in average temperatures
between the locations is perhaps caused by a sizable difference in latitudes with
Devil s Garden situated at 38.8 degrees north compared to Miami Beach situated at
25.8 degrees north. This divergence is the most likely responsible for Miami Beach s
high summer temperatures as areas in lower latitudes often experience warmer
weather in addition to the fact that the beach is located closer to the equator. To
compare coastal stations, it is clear that the second conceptual model is reasonably
correct when asserting
Drug Abuse In College Sports
I believe that competetive sports are not benifitial for children and adults. Playing
competetive sports can lead to having drug abuse problems, serious injurys and being
an serious debt.
To begin, If you play competitive sports, you could get addicted to substances that
help you get stronger or better in the sport, but you could become addicted to them
and possibly more later in life. According to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc
/articles/PMC4140700/, the article titled Drug abuse in Athletes written by Claudia L
Reardon and Shane Creado in 2014 states It is presumed that most if not all doping
agents have potential short term and/or long term side effects. Unfortunately, given
the high doses of these agents used by athletes, it is difficult

Some finches inherited longer beaks, this allowed them to open more seeds and access more food. Inheriting the longer beaks is not proven, but any animal inherited traits just like humans. So gathering this information we can conclude that they inherit their long beaks. Having a long beak was crucial in order for the finches to survive through the drought. Two finches, for example, that survived the drought, had bigger beak sizes. Gf69 had a beak length of 13.01 millimeters and weighed 13.41 grams. Another finch that survived the drought had a beak length of 10.97 and weighed about 12 grams. Yet a finch that didn t survive had a beak length of 9.92 millimeters. All 10 finches that survived through the drought had longer beaks that averaged to 11.939 millimeters. This is a large beak size compared to a bird that did not survive with a beak length of 7.21 millimeters. A bigger beak length allows a finch to pry open harder seeds unlike the finches with smaller beaks. Some field notes were taken from the Grants, and they told us that a finch was spotted struggling to open a seed. For this reason finches with longer beaks were able to get food more easily than finches with smaller beaks. In conclusion, some finches had a longer lifespan than other for the reason that they had longer beaks. On top of that they were able to survive the

Nello Ponente refers to Pierre Francastel stating that to convey this resonance of space, to make its infinite continuity perceptible in the harmony of the proportional relationships, (each scene has a definite center and focal point of its own, and in effect its proportional mean) Raphael turned for guidance to the foremost master of space: Bramante (90). There are many changes that Texas State could make to accommodate my needs. I am in a wheelchair, and while it is quite handicap accessible, there is always room for improvement. We all know that this campus is one that involves a large amount of hills and stairs. These are not easy things to deal with when you are a quadriplegic because wheelchairs do not mix well with these things. Also, I often feel alone. (JГіzefowski, P., Bolach, E). I know others like me are out there and feel alone as well. If Texas State could make an effort to recognize and bring together people with severe conditions it would decrease the alone feeling in each and every quadriplegic. It would also make others used to being around people with these conditions and help them see that we are no different. Clubs and organizations could be created in order to increase awareness of diversity at Texas State. These changes can and will affect everyone on campus. A more accessible campus would mostly just affect those with disabilities. We also have the power of words which can make everyone more aware of this disability. Once someone is more aware of something that they do not understand, they understand how to handle being in a situation where they must deal with this. In conclusion, if everyone was more aware of quadriplegics, and they understood that we are no different, we would feel less alone. People wouldn t be afraid to talk to us and they wouldn t treat us different than everybody
  • 15. Comparison Of Alexander Pope And The Rape Of The Lock From reading Alexander Pope s The Rape of the Lock and Jonathan Swift s The Lady s Dressing Room it is clear that both these poets are misogynists and they display their dislike for woman by using mocking language and they use their skill of satire throughout both the poems. (Longman, 2471) Pope is not only mocking Belinda here but also every woman in this time, suggesting that she won t understand what he is trying to say to her unless he explains himself. Pope suggests that the only thing Belinda is good for is looking nice and this is a very shallow view on women. He focusses a lot on how long it takes Belinda to get ready in the morning but does not take into consideration that she is only doing this to please men. Men, like Pope, at this time looked down on women in society so much that women felt like their beauty was the most important thing. I could go on about every detail and characters of this story, but I will be focusing on a character named Nora Helmer. When I think of Nora Helmer s character in The Doll House, I often refer to a quote that says Womanwas taken out of man; not out of his head to top him, nor out of his feet to be trampled underfoot; but out of his side to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved. (Matthew Henry) It is a normal thing for a woman, especially Nora to be taken care of and sincerely given love and affection in an marriage. As most readers go in depth in the play, it seems like Nora has the perfect life and couldn t ask for anything more than to be able to keep her family secured despite the serious debt they are facing and to have the love of her kids and her significant other Torvald. But, that all changes in the end when she realizes that her world had been a doll s house all along and that she hasn t discovered her true purpose of life. She never had the opportunity as a woman in her time to see the value of life and never had the ability for making decisions for herself. She grew up being her father s doll child and continued to still be a doll for the husband she had found. Her role as a woman, wife, and mother sheltered her from the boundless outside world. Three Laws Of Robot Essay The Effectiveness of Isaac Asimov`s Three Laws of Robotics In 1950 a collection of short stories by Isaac Asimov gathered under a name I, Robot was first published commencing a whole new era in the field of fiction. Asimov first explicitly introduced the Three Laws of Robotics in the short story Runaround, published in the March 1942 issue of Astounding Science Fiction. In his 1985 novel Robots and Empire, Asimov formulated an additional Zeroth Law, to stand above the original three: No harm to humanity, or, allowing any harm to humanity by inaction. Other science fiction writers have explored similar ideas, sometimes anticipating Asimov s laws and sometimes expanding on them. (Wallach 219) It was the first book to use the word robot ... But, as mentioned before, robots can under certain circumstances interpret the Laws differently and what is more important can be seen as a better version of a human being. Asimov (3) wrote through the words of Susan Calvin: Then you don t remember a world without robots. There was a time when humanity faced the universe alone and without a friend. Now he has creatures to help him; stronger creatures than himself, more faithful, more useful, and absolutely devoted to him. Mankind is no longer alone. Have you ever thought of it that way? ... They re a cleaner, better breed than we are. In this sense robots deserve to be considered as equals to humans and even more than that, as superior beings. Robots that serve are just a first step on the way to developing artificial intelligence opening new possibilities to no end. However, Asimov`s Three Laws do not go beyond the definition of robots as slaves, which, considering human history, is immoral and

Ideas In The Classroom 14.Identify occasions on which the teacher specifically does not present the ideas that he or she wants students to learn but instead conducts activities in which the students must construct that knowledge for themselves. There really were no instances when the teacher presented any ideas for students to construct their own knowledge of an idea, except when they began regrouping with subtraction. She gave the students problems to work out to see if they could do it or not before actually going over how to do it. Other than that, she models everything and the whole class guides her through the model or she guides them through the model. Much of what she is doing is modeling the concepts for them before they complete the tasks that she assigns them. 15.Look for instances in which students statements or behaviors reflect misconceptions about the subject matter being studied. A mother that smokes is much more likely to give birth to a child with defects. Congenital heart disease is one of the most popular effects (Banschbach 349). This is a problem because it is not only putting the mother s life in danger, but it is not giving a baby the chance to be healthy and free from defects; some of these defects could be entirely prevented by not smoking. Not only does smoking cause heart defects, but it also can cause a lack of oxygen and nutrition while the baby is in the womb (Banschbach 349). Banschbach, found that many babies whose mothers smoke, are born too early, and have a low birth weight, making it more likely the baby will become sick or die (349). Compare and contrast the mechanisms of cyanobacterial Z pathway photolysis with those of aerobic lithotrophy. Include reference to energy, redox reactions, the role of membranes, and small molecule energy carriers. The cyanobacterial Z pathway photolysis and aerobic lithotrophy are two structurally similar energy yielding pathways. There are only two known sources of energy available to organisms on earth, stemming from either redox reactions or light energy (photonic energy) .Lithotrophs are a kind of chemotropic organism that employ redox reactions using the oxidation of inorganic electron donors as an energy supply, and in the case of aerobic lithotrophy uses oxygen as the final electron acceptor. The first step of commonality between the two pathways begins with the oxidation reaction of water in the case of photolysis in cyanobacteria, and the oxidation of an inorganic molecule such as hydrogen gas, iron ions, hydrogen sulfide and ammonium in lithotrophic organisms. In the Z pathway, photosystem II, pigments are excited by four photon in the antenna complex (phycobilisome), which passes the excitation along to the next pigment in the complex until it reaches the reaction center (chlorophyll a). The reaction center then uses the energy from the four photons to split two water molecules in an oxidation reaction, generating four electrons, four hydrogen ions and an oxygen molecule. Lithotrophy differs

There were two main people in the novel who represented the mockingbird and showed on many accounts, innocence and selflessness: Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. First of all, the mockingbird could be represented by Boo Radley. Miss Maudie told the children, Mockingbirds don t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy (Lee 119). Boo Radley, like the mockingbirds can not do anything to harm anyone because he is constantly in his house. He could not be accused of doing anything wrong because he was always in his house. Like a mockingbird, Boo has done nothing to anyone but help them out. He gave them a blanket during the fire, gave the kids many different toys, and even saved the kid s lives. Mockingbirds help out people by singing songs and they do not do anything harmful like destroying people s gardens and Towards the end, Scout and Jem both outgrow the scariness of Boo Radley. Pricing strategies for making a change in this microwaveable low calories frozen food would be to look at the basics of pricing strategies and the market mix. To create a pricing strategy, the company needs to take into account the target group and the willingness to pay for the product to make sure that the market segmentation and where the price is going to be set at, should be a key point in determining the anticipated rate of price since the product in itself is elastic in nature. Being an elastic company means that the company has flexibility, the ability to meet fluctuations and unplanned changes to demand the potential to take on more contracts and not forfeit seasonal work, financial stability, accounting for fluctuations in a far more controlled way, increase work flow without jeopardizing SLAs or impeding regulatory standards, improved staff efficiencies from well organized working conditions (retrieved Logistics Transport Focus, 16(11), 56 57.) By this the change in price will not necessarily cause a huge change in the quantity of demand by the consumers,

Revenge In Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, And The Furies The Oresteia trilogy, including the tragedies Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, and The Furies, explores the theme of revenge on most of the characters. These plays contain a strong sense of brutality against civilians because there were lots of slaughtering within the house of Atreus. The decision of Agamemnonsacrificing his youngest daughter, Iphigenia as a stepping stone to travel and conquer Troy provoked the death of several others throughout the play. Agamemnon clearly faces a dilemma between war accomplishments and his daughter, but in the end he chose to have what was best for his people. Because of this decision, justice was viewed as an act of retaliation because the characters in Oresteiatakes the role of providing punishments to another individual for their past wrongs. For example, while studying, we learn the concepts in a general manner. However, the challenge is in applying them to each circumstance we face. As he explained, the process of taking a decision follows the same concept we have learnt, however; not word by word. It is more spontaneous and to him it s very important to take his time, when possible, to study the different alternatives and their possible outcomes. In addition, he weighs the possible benefits against the risk of each option. After making up his mind, he keeps the decision to himself and makes sure it s the best solution before announcing and implementing it. He admits that intuition is one of the factors he bases his decisions on and sum up to 20%. However, it s not enough if it s not backed up by something

Why We Crave Horror Movies In his article Why We Crave Horror movies, Stephen King stresses the fact that we are all mentally ill, and explains why watching horror films is an effective way to deal with our inner insanity. According to King, we are all insane by human nature, and are made up of anticivilization emotions. These emotions are integral parts of our personalities, and in order to stay healthy, they demand periodic exercise. But living in society has taught us to repress these emotions, which is why he argues that watching horror films provide us with this psychological relief, allowing us to indirectly deal with anticivilization emotions. According to King, horror movies deliberately appeal to the worst in us, and therefore, perform the dirty job of satisfying our inner monsters. I disagree with King because horror movies can also have negative effects. In addition, people have different ways of channeling out uncivilized emotions. Horror movies can have negative psychological effects. Although some people enjoy the thrill and nastiness of horror movies, I, for one, do not. Watching horror films give me nightmares, and make me extra paranoid. Rather than my inner psyche feeling satisfied, I feel disturbed. Watching horror films can also cause heightened stress and anxiety. Under more serious conditions, horror films can even cause PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A woman named Caroline appeared on the Dr. Phil show, who after watching a horror filmcalled Psycho,

The Discovery Of Polymer And Plastic Demand When many units of repeating molecules react together, monomers, the reaction will yield a product in the form of a polymer (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). The discovery of polymers began in 1920, with the belief of Hermann Staudinger, that there existed a molecule consisting of many smaller repeating molecules, under the name macromolecule (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). Nowadays, polymerand plasticdemand is even higher than that of copper, aluminium, and even steel, due to their versatile applications in many different industries (Matse1.matse.illinois.edu, 2016). Polymer synthesis can be either synthetic or natural, and can produce many forms of polymers, depending on the involved monomers, and the intended purpose for said polymers (Essentialchemicalindustry.org, 2016). This process involves three main steps, initiation or separating of the double bonds of the to be monomer, propagation or the joining of these monomers, and termination, when the desired chain length has been reached (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). History is brimful with scientific discoveries both intentional, and completely accidental, however, it can be seen that the majority of polymers were crafted due to societal demand, although the method of actual synthesis initially may have been serendipitous. Two of the polymers scientifically researched and synthesised due to demand of the times were synthetic rubber, and Bakelite (Chemistryexplained.com, 2016). Many polymers were researched and

  • 42. Variable Rate Mortgage One of the options available to the consumer in mortgages is the variable rate mortgage. In variable mortgage, the interest rate is geared to the prime rate. When the prime rate is low, your mortgage interest rate is also low. However, when the interest rates start going up, the mortgage interest rate also goes up. Quite often, even when the mortgagerate has gone up, the monthly payment remains the same, but the bank may adjust the payment once or twice a year to take into account the rising interestrates. How often this adjustment will take place is stated in the mortgage documents. For those who are nervous about the changes, the security of five year, or longer, fixed loans are the best option; however, there is a cost for this comfort. Long term fixed rate mortgages are relatively expensive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before locking in the rate, you should consider your own personal situation. as well, If you are thinking to sell the property and move, you should not lock into a fixed rate mortgage as at the time of selling, you may be asked to retire the mortgage and it may cost you interest penalties. In the economic period of rising interest rates, you should also not borrow to the limit. Either go for a fixed rate mortgage or if you are going to opt for a variable rate mortgage, allow your self some room so that even when the rates go up, it will not strain you financially. Twenty percent cushion may be what you should consider, e.g. if your regular payment is $1,200 dollars a month, you should be able to handle payment of up to $1,440 without too much strain. That increase of $240 dollar is equivalent to a 20% cushion. If you have a variable rate mortgage, and it is within 2% of the current rates, it may not help you to lock in the mortgage at fixed rates. There may not be any real benefit, as changing the mortgage will involve expenses such as legal, appraisal and processing fees if

  • 44. Temperature Analysis Of Temperature During The Summer Temperature Analysis The expectations I held when first given this assignment are echoed in the conceptual models presented in the guidance document: locations situated close to the ocean ought to exhibit cooler temperatures during the summer months while maintaining slightly warmer temperatures during the winter and that more inland locations should display slightly higher temperatures within the summer time but lower temperatures during the winter months. This expectation was largely influenced by the knowledge I have incurred while living in a coastal area: wind and surf carry cooler air to the coast during the summer while carrying warmer air to land during the winter. Upon reviewing the recorded temperatures within the six ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As these locations have similar enough latitudes, 27.9 and 28 degrees north respectively, it is unlikely that the results are skewed. Continuing to follow the notion proposed within the given conceptual model, the southern stations showed that the inland city of Devil s Garden experienced substantially colder winters compared to the winter time temperatures seen in Miami Beach. Encountering an average winter temperature of 51.4 degrees, Devil s Garden is approximately 12 degrees cooler than Miami Beach s average minimum winter temperature of 63.6. These locations, however, did not exhibit such a large disparity in summer time temperatures with Devil s Garden s maximum average displayed at approximately 92 degrees and Miami Beach s maximum average displaying exactly 87 degrees. Upon further investigation, it appears that the discrepancy in average temperatures between the locations is perhaps caused by a sizable difference in latitudes with Devil s Garden situated at 38.8 degrees north compared to Miami Beach situated at 25.8 degrees north. This divergence is the most likely responsible for Miami Beach s high summer temperatures as areas in lower latitudes often experience warmer weather in addition to the fact that the beach is located closer to the equator. To compare coastal stations, it is clear that the second conceptual model is reasonably correct when asserting

Playing competetive sports can lead to having drug abuse problems, serious injurys and being an serious debt. To begin, If you play competitive sports, you could get addicted to substances that help you get stronger or better in the sport, but you could become addicted to them and possibly more later in life. According to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc /articles/PMC4140700/, the article titled Drug abuse in Athletes written by Claudia L Reardon and Shane Creado in 2014 states It is presumed that most if not all doping agents have potential short term and/or long term side effects.
