The Unified Science Center At Stockton For My Project
I decided to choose the Unified Science Center at Stockton for my project because it
is easily accessible to me, it is fairly new and as a business major student, I found the
building to be very impressive. We business majors don t have a place to hang out or
a quiet place to talk to people in our major. I normally just see people in the library or
in the hallway and if we have to do schoolwork we just go to a computer lab.
However, the Science and Math majors have a buildingfull of labs and classrooms. In
my opinion I felt like Stockton was trying to one up the Arts building with another
new building. The two buildings are similar in the way they both function. The Art
building is a good place for the Art majors to get creative for their assignments and
while these students are surrounded by artwork they could feel more of an impact

Gentrification is the process of renovating and improving a neighborhood so that it
can be more appealing to the middle class taste and is negatively affecting many

The Incarceration Of The United States Of America
Preamble: Whereas at this time, many of the incarcerated men, women, and children
of our great nation are not sufficiently educated to be employed by the various
corporations in the United States of America. To further develop the potential
workforce of America, these incarcerated peoples should become proficient in the
reading and writing of the English language. This in turn will help reduce the tax
rates of the Federal Bureau of Prisons by lessening the amount of people imprisoned.
According to the article Educated Prisoners are Less Likely to Return to Prisonfound
in the Journal of Correctional Education, the prisoners who undergo an educational
program during their incarceration are far less likely to return than prisoners who
did not received any education during their confinement. In the state of Ohio, the
total rate of recidivism (an inmate s relapse back into criminal behavior after they
received sanctions or underwent an intervention for a previous crime) was 40 percent
while the prisoners who had completed an academic program during imprisonment
had an overall rate of 18 percent. When the recidivism rate is lowered, these
aforementioned correctional education programs produce hundreds of millions of
dollars worth of savings annually for the country. Additionally, the education of the
incarcerated peoples of America will increase the national literacy rate and promote
the general welfare of the country.

Horus is obviously another anthropomorphized figure. Horus life is a long list of
myths that are strongly connected with the sun s movement in the sky. Horus
being known as the solar messiah (Or light) had an enemy known as Set. Set was
represented the symbolism of the dark (Or night). Horus and Set would battle
every day. Horus would defeat Set every morning while Set would overthrow
Horus in the evening sending him into the underworld. Dark vs. light (Good vs.
evil) has been one of the most used mythological duals ever known to man and is
still used to this day on many levels. Horus was born on December 25th of the
virgin Isis (Mary). His birth was accompanied by the star in the east, three kings
followed to locate and adorn the newborn savior. He was a teacher at the age of
twelve, at the age of 30 he was baptized by the figure known as Adup, beginning his
ministry. He had 12 disciples he traveled with while performing miracles such as
healing the sick and walking on water. Horus was given many names such as the Truth

Personal Narrative On Firework
Firework Idea
The year was 1989 it was the 4th of july and my father was having a great time with
his friends and family. Lets just say when he was younger my dad was not the
smartest kid, when it came to doing stupid things but then what 10 year old is. So
this 4th of july my dad was hanging out with his brother Trent also with his cousins
Nick, Jason, Jared, Danny and Monica. Well in his family every year they would by
tons of fireworks for the 4th, well this year they decided to play capture the flag with
the fireworks. Lets just say that was not the best idea in the world.
Let the game begin, my dad yelled as the first game started. Both teams had hidden
their flags on either side of the house up on Jean Street where my dad was living ...
Let the game begin Jared said and so it did. Immediately both teams ran to the
boundary where they would wait for someone to cross. This time is Danny to make
the same move as my dad did but Danny was to confident. The greatest thing for my
dad was that Danny was the one that my dad needed to get back at. So as Danny
sprinted up the hill to the deck where the flag was, my dad chased after him. When
Danny got into range my dad lit the firework taped onto his hand and let it go. The
firework flew out of his hand like a bullet out of a gun. My dad got what he wanted
and a lot more. The firework struck Danny right in the middle of his back. Not only
did it burn Danny s back it melted his shirt to it! Poor Danny just dropped to the
ground crying and bawling his eyes out. When they heard the crying the parents all
rush out of the house to see what was going on they say Danny laying on the
ground with his shirt melted to his back. They started yelling at my dad, especially
my Grandpa Blake who said some colorful things. My dad also started to cry
because only being ten and all he was still a little kid. Well at least one good thing
came out of it, Trent oblivious to what had just happened ran and grabbed the flag

Break Of Day In The Trenches By Isaac Rosenberg
Break of Day in the Trenches is by one of the First World War s leading war poets,
Isaac Rosenberg. Many often remember Rosenberg as a Jewish English poet, or a
poet of war, but there is more to his writing than what meets the eye. Rosenberg
died at the age of twenty eight in World War I on April 1, 1918. Critics often say that
Isaac was an impressive young poet and that his future was bright in the poetryworld.
It can be seen throughout his poems that Isaac incorporates a large amount of
symbolism and feeling into his pieces.
A primary focus for Rosenberg s poems is centered around the hardship and
struggle in war. For example, a few of his most famous poems including Dead Man
s Dump, On Receiving News of the War, Soldier: Twentieth Century and Break of
Day in the Trenches all incorporate the mentality of a soldier facing battle. It is easy
for an individual to talk about the thought of war and the struggle that a soldier
may face. Furthermore, Rosenberg wrote from his experience as a young man
going through such a horrific event, which allowed his readers to see what he saw,
feel what he felt, and undergo what he went through. He mastered this art form in
the early years of his life and shared his work with the world. In many cases, he
describes an object or occurrence and lets the description do most of the work.
Instead of using the rhyming schemes or more structural outlines of poetry, Isaac
approaches more of a free verse technique of writing in in his work. For example, in

The darkness crumbles away.

The main characters of The Shack are Mack, Nan, Elousia (God), Jesus, and
Sarayu. Mackenzie Allan Phillips is the main protagonist however, his friends and
family call him Mack. He is a father of five children and husband to Nan. He has
built a wall around him ever since Missy was killed and has found himself in the
Great Sadness . He has backslid in his faith and his love for Nan isn t as strong as it
used to be before the Great Sadness . Nan is the glue that holds the family together
she is very faithful to the Lord which she calls Papa . She is very strong and helps

understand about Papa, himself, and Sarayu. Sarayu which means wind is the Holy

What are the different kinds of pollution? There are so many different kinds of
pollution like; air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, thermal pollution,
radioactive pollution, noise pollution, and light pollution, but the most common two
we hear about is water pollution, and air pollution those are the ones we have to
figure out how to fix the most because they are causing the most danger and
problems for us. There are a lot of different kinds of pollution, some that most people
probably don t even know exist. Every kind of pollution has an impact on us, the
environment and the animals surrounding us, everyone individually should do what
they can to reduce their pollution habits. Air pollution is when harmful chemicals are
put into the air. Most of the air pollution in the usa is caused by the burning of fossil
fuels such as; coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline. Why do we continue to burn these
knowing what it does to the environment? We continue to burn these harmful
