them show that they are strong enough to become a member of the tribe. The Medicine Bag and

brought up in some sort of learning atmosphere to gain social, educational and good work habits

aspects in a families life sometimes because it takes away the parents time to work and or study
because they have to worry about their child. It s important for a child to be in a safe and a well
educational childcare that focuses on social skills, working skills, emotional skills as well as
physical skills. Those who simply can t afford the right child care suffer because those who can t

When analyzing the elements of the videogame, the belief of obtaining divine powers through
seraphim will evoke prosperity to the world is the same belief Shintoism has when they pray to

which is a term used to portray the divine entities in Tales of Zestiria. Shintoism believe in divine
spiritual beings called kami (gods in their term). They pray on the kami and perform rituals, but they

United States Foreign Policy and the War on Terrorism
In very general terms, it could be said that the United States makes foreign policy decisions based
on what we hope are the best interests of its citizens. On the surface, it would appear as if this has
been the case over the past several months, as the U.S. has waged its war against terrorism. If one
were to penetrate this surface, however, they would see that there is much more to this conflict than
meets the eye. Is Operation Enduring Freedom indeed justifiable? Most people would say yes, it is

Unfortunately, this has not been the case in Afghanistan. The United States reacted far too quickly
in declaring the war on terrorism. The Bush administration did not outline clear goals for the war,
and in their haste to fight the cause, and bring justice to the American people, they completely
overlooked the potential impact of their actions on non American citizens.
A major concern regarding the war in Afghanistan is the fact that there may have been more
civilian casualties as a result of bombings than there were in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
The estimates vary widely, but it has been suggested that at least 4000 people have died in
Afghanistan since the bombing campaigns began, although no one can come up with concrete
numbers at this point. Furthermore, this is only one conflict. The same is true regarding the large
number of people who have died in Iraq in the last decade, whether it was due to bombings, or
because they suffered as a result of economic sanctions imposed by the United States. These killings
are reprehensible, and, as Kathryn Sikkink, a political science professor at the University of
Minnesota claims, ?military methods that inevitably lead to significant civilian deaths are
inconsistent with a human rights approach, regardless of the intentions of the planners (SSRC).?

The entire concept of sharing one s testimony is subjective. A believer can tell someone about
their horrible past, but if they did not know the believer before they were a believer, the
testimony could fall flat. Additionally, it is an non provable method, since it is a personal feeling
or experience the person is describing, not concrete proof. Finally, there is an issue with
duplication by other religions, meaning that other religious believers have a testimony and
experience to share, as well. Relying solely on the experiential apologetics leaves the apologist
open to a myriad of problems with proof and deniability of their testimony.
CONCLUSION
Experiential apologetics proposes that knowledge of God and his grace has to come from a
personal experience which then leads to acceptance of God s truth expressed in the Scriptures.
This personal experience may come from a testimony of a believer to an unbeliever, or through
direct experience of a non believer causing them to become a believer. While several proponents
of this method have developed different interpretations of the form over time, the basic principle
still remains valid that a shared experience can help to save a lost soul. Although experiential
apologetics are considered one of the personal and intimate forms of apologetics, it is also
considered one of the weakest forms due to

Tony Andrews is a veteran sound engineer and a highly regarded sound system designer. Tony
Andrews and John Newsham founded the legendary sound system manufacturer known as
Funktion One in 1992. Before that they were also responsible for founding Turbosound in the
1970s which is where Tony set out to get the perfect live sound (or as close to it as possible). Tony
Andrews was convinced that live sound could sound the way a band did in a recording studio. Tony
s involvement with the Glastonbury Festival(before Turbosound) led to the development of the
proper festival sound which consisted of separate cabinets for the lows, mids, and high
frequencies. This revolutionized and changed the quality of live sound in the mid 70s and paved
the way for a new era of sound systems.
In 1978 Tony Andrews met John Newsham and formed Turbosound. They began designing and

Separating Right and Wrong: Emmeline Pankhurst s Suffragette Movement
Women s suffrage has been one of the unsolved problems of the last two centuries. Today, many
countries constitutionalized women s right to vote; however there remain a few that outlaw it. This
ban resulted in women fighting for the right to vote in the 19th century, which gave birth suffrage
movements. While the suffragettes were emerging from all around the world, The United Kingdom
was the heart of the movement, with Emmeline Pankhurst as one of the main figures and she played
a crucial role in women s suffrage in Britain; however her work has been criticized and argued by

Other women all around the world began protesting under the name of Suffragettes and the
movement quickly became epidemic. While there were many approaches in history for the same
purpose, United States, Ireland, Canada and many more women around the world adopted the
methods of the suffragettes to their own cause. The reason why the British suffragettes influenced
so many other women is explained in a research paper by Laura E. Nym Mayhall as ...Once the
Liberal government introduced forcible feeding as an antidote to the suffragette hunger strike,
militants created a visual activism, dependent upon the exhibition of women s tortured bodies as
spectacle. By this account, the activities of the WSPU became exemplary of what critic Barbara
Green has called performative activism and visibility politics in early twentieth century feminist
praxis, creating almost entirely feminine communities where women celebrated, suffered, spoke
with, and wrote for other women, and that allowed women to put themselves on display for other
women. Many women in the 19th century looked up to Emmeline Pankhurst, listened to her
speeches, went to her propaganda walks and adopted her methods and women in Britain gained the
right to vote in 1928, for men and women over 21, without any other requests of marital status or

In comparing and contrasting Flannery O Connor s A Good Man is Hard to Find and Joyce Carol
Oates s Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been the stories contain very different plots, but
they both have similarities between the characters Arnold Friend and Misfit. They appear to be
mentally unstable and highly selfish by only caring about their needs. For example, Where Are
You Going, Where Have You Been Arnold Friend shows his mentality and selfishness by harming
the main character Connie by being highly persistent. In A Good Man is Hard to Findthe Misfit
showed his mentality and selfishness by killing the grandmother when she was trying to bring
out faith and his good side when the situation escalated when the car crashed. Regardless of these
two completely different stories, there are several similarities between the characters Arnold
Friend and Misfit in their personalities. In the story Where Are You Going, Where Have You
Been Connie, the main character, is already struggling with many things in life and sneaks her
way to date guys. There was also conflicting between her and her mother due to her mother
favoring her sister, June and describing her as someone who is a good example of what she
wants Connie to be. Her father is never at home due to work and when he is home, the girls do
not relate to him. Arnold Friend is described as a dangerous figure with his pale complexion and
his slick black hair looking like trouble by not presenting himself in a pleasing way to Connie, by
not walking properly. This was an indication on how he was not in the right state of mind and
how Arnold shouldn t be near Connie. There was one scene in the story where Arnold Friend
shows up, uninvited, notifying Connie that he is not a friend, but has come to take her away from
her home to possibly kidnap her. Connie felt a wave of dizziness, rise in her at this sight and she
stared at him as if waiting for something to change the shock of the moment, make it alright again .

24. Causes Of The Shoreham Air Show Crash
We are very sad to hear the news of the Shoreham Air Show crash on the afternoon of Saturday
22 August. It all started when the Hawker Hunter, a 1950s plane, failed to complete an acrobatic
loop and suddenly lost control. The pilot of the plane, Andy Hill, survived the crash but remains
in a critical condition in hospital with multiple injuries. He was a very experienced pilot and
was one of the top RAF pilots this is why it was very unusual for the crash to happen. It crashed
unexpectedly on to the A27 in West Sussex causing devastation and loss of 11+ lives. Police are
still investigating what the cause of the crash was. The A27 is now closed for several days while
investigators find out why the plane crashed into the busy road at more

25. Transmitting System Theory to Human Resource Management
Essay on Transmitting social system theory to human resource management Human resource
management can be considered as the most complex field of an organisation. Assuming that this
statement is true one could raise the question why human resource management is more diverse
than the other fields in an organisation as finance or sales. The answer will be always the same. It
is because of the individual, playing a major role within everyday s HR work environment. This
essay discusses what impact a less individual concentrated approach would have on human resource
management. This does not mean that the importance of the individual will be devalued. The essay

this essay shall be set on the German sociologist Niklas Luhmann (1927 1998) who developed an
ambitious as well as general theory of society and social systems. This theory understands social
systems as recursive networks of communication and observation (Fuchs, 1999, p. 117). Luhmann
considers organisations as autopoietically closed systems, which consist of communication or
decisions (e.g. decisions, actions). The social system theory for example regards the base of an
organisation as not open to the environment, whereas the rest of the system depends on the
environmental influences. Autopoietically closed means that they reproduce the elements they
consist of out of the element they consist of. These systems are also called a self referential system,
which basically means that there are systems, which have the ability to create a relation with itself
and differentiate this relationship towards its environment. Self referential systems are able to
differentiate between relations happening inside the system and outside the system, which creates
the awareness for the self referential system to

In the north and south of the United States, there are many differences in culture. The weather, the
population, and the economy are a few. They both have the same language but are spoken in two
different accents. You can always tell the difference between the two.
New York City is in the northern part of the United States and is considered the city that never
sleeps. It is also known as The Big Apple . People are walking the streets, eating at restaurants
and going to bars at all hours of the night. Tourist come to see the attractions and to go shopping.
There are many ways of transportation: train, bus, cab, car, or walking. Public transportation is
twenty four hours a day and seven days a week and is their main source of getting around town.
Housing is mostly apartments or condos that are for rent. Most people do not own their own
homes or own a vehicle, because they cannot afford it. The cost of living in New York Cityis more

27. The Story Of An Hour By Kate Chopin Essay
Chopin s Artistry in The Story of an Hour
To be in the struggle with conventional society s convictions is troublesome for some to do; in any
case, writer Kate Chopin battles that fight to bring readers the absolute most interesting writing that
a man can get their hands on. Utilizing further bolstering her good fortune traditions of stories, for
example, character improvement, plot control, and incongruity, she can bring the readers into a
universe of feelings that society would laugh at. Kate Chopin exhibits her mind boggling artistic
ability in The Story of an Hour by interconnecting the plot and character advancement, with her
utilization of interesting vocabulary and account incongruity.
Kate Chopin s artistic ability would have never been so unequivocally established in the event
that it was not for the conditions encompassing her life and childhood. Her dad kicked the
bucket when she was just four years of age, which left her mom and grandma to raise and shape
her cravings and belief systems (Charters 156). Having been raised principally by solid willed
ladylike good examples, Chopin built up a preference for a greater amount of a whimsical part
for ladies in the public eye. In the place where she grew up in St. Louis, she got to be known as
the town s Most diminutive Rebel (Davis). She was widowed and left with six youngsters to raise
all alone (Charters 156). This circumstance grew a greater amount of her solid will to expound on

30. Relationship Between Human Relationship With Humans
The Metaphysical correlation with Humans
In God s elemental metaphysics, Angels, Jins, demons and the universe of nature are intertwined
and interact continuously and continuously to form the process of metaphysics in everyday life.
Metaphysics is an abstract reconstruction of events composed of components of human action that
starts with the physical action thought, done and spoken. Metaphysics is also a typical
manifestation of humanity and the phenomenon of human existence. The close interconnection
between man and metaphysics is illustrated by the role of metaphysics in the process of forming
attributes that ultimately shape the character of the human identity. The introduction of
metaphysics is a fact that can trace back from the earliest human development. In this case,
humans play a role in presenting the existence of history that can arise if the human life had
moved to tomorrow and leave yesterday. Thus, yesterday as the embodiment of human existence
in the history of his life. The person who is forty, or sixty years old, is of course not born at that
age, and this proves that every human being has a past as a proof of the existence of history in
which there is a human role in history. Impossible Iqbal s history can express as the process
appears without the meaning of human role. Man as an object of metaphysics consists of physical,

32. Autobiographical Memory Analysis
Autobiographical memory is the memory of a person s life events and information (Fossati, 2013).
One process that affects the accuracy of memory is coherence. Although, coherence is essential to
maintain self esteem, self beliefs, and a stable sense of self (Conway, 2005). Individuals sometimes
desire super memorydue to memory fallibility. There are people who have superior memories such
as individuals with Highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM). Unfortunately, possessing
such a memory comes with severe consequences, which renders super memory less appealing,
especially as memories have such a significant influence on the self (James, 1950).
Human memory can be changed, biased or even completely fabricated (Conway et al., 2004). ...

Studies of extreme violations of coherence show the vast importance of coherence to maintaining
a self that can operate effectively in the world (Conway, 2005). Baddeley et al (1996) reported
cases regarding hospitalised schizophrenics that illustrates this. In one case, a man truly believed
he was a famous rock guitarist despite knowing he could not play guitar. Another patient believed
he was a Russian chess grand master even though he could not speak Russian, nor had he been
there, and he was often beaten at the game by other patients. Furthermore, Downes and Mayes
(1994) reported a case regarding a man with a neuropsychological disorder. He was convinced he
could remember having a terrible argument with his father the day before, although, he could also
remember attending his father funeral years earlier.
Instances such as this highlight the importance of coherence to healthy individuals. Individuals
with a coherent self are more likely to have high self esteem, and increased well being
(Csikzentmilhalkyi and Baettie, 1979). Finally, when the self is in line with the past the individual
can be effective, achieve goals and relate to others (Bluck and Habermas,

In 1960 a scientist by the name of Dr. Ivan Getting left his position at Raytheon Company, and
armed with the knowledge of what was at the time the most advanced navigational technology in
the world, he began developing the Global Positioning System. Together with a team of
aerospace engineers and scientists, they started getting into the three dimension global
positioning system concept. In 1957, at the start of the Cold War and the Space Race, the
U.S.S.R. launched Sputnik, the first Soviet satellite. While observing Sputnik, U.S. scientists
found out that they could track the satellite s orbit by listening to the changes in its radio
frequency using the Doppler effect, a technique that had previously been used to describe why
the pitch of a car s horn changes as it speeds away. In 1960, the knowledge gained from tracking
Sputnik, the U.S Navy was able to launch transit, the first satellite navigational system, which
was used to help guide the Navy fleets of missile submarines. In 1967, the U.S. Navy developed
the Timation technique, a system that used a highly stable, synchronized clock in the satellite, a
technology on which GPS was dependent by 1974, the first clocks were put into orbit. By 1978,
the U.S. military launched the first four GPS satellites. Until 1983, GPS technology was
available for U.S. military use only, until a tragedy occurred that the benefits of GPS technology
could no longer be restricted from civilian use. In 1983, a civilian Korean Air airplane with 269
passengers, was shot down after entering Soviet airspace killing all passengers. In response to
this tragedy, President Ronald Reagan said that when GPS technology was operational, it will be
free and available to the world . On Feb. 14, 1989, the first satellite was launched. On July 17,
1995, the GPS was complete. This system consists of 24

Every few decades there is a new form of art that is considered to be modern so it would be difficult
to say that I dislike modern art however, present day s rendition of modern art is something I am
definitely not a fan of. I say this because the problem of everything s been done before has surfaced
more than ever so artists nowadays are trying to create pieces of art that are a fine line away from
not being considered art at all, respectively seeing as Art is everything . I recently saw an art piece
a couple of years ago, at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and it was a sculpture of a pile of shoes. Now, I

what is considered last weeks trash, which brings me to the topic at hand, Two Large Forms by

The location is odd to me, mainly because the bronze forms are not alone in the corner of the
building, but are not really impacted by its surroundings. The trees behind the statue are dead
giving a desolate atmosphere invoking a sense of loneliness. Moreover, almost the entire area
surrounding the piece is solid concrete, giving a very penitential outlook. I m not sure if the

40. Apocalyptic Survivors In The Epic Of Gilgamesh
Apocalyptic Survivors
Each of the sacred texts of Christianity, Greek Polytheism, Ancient Macedonian Religion, and
Judaism outlines an apocalypse myth which illustrates a near end of the world, and in each myth,
the gods or God select survivors. Although each religion is unique, there are some stark similarities
among the myths including the methods used to attack the world and the way the survivors rescue
themselves and others. Some religious texts portray one person saving people who will repopulate
the Earth, but others describe a group of people or even a small population withstanding the
apocalypse. Investigating several religious texts reveals that even though some apocalyptic trends
remain constant throughout each belief, the selection and utilization of humans by the higher
power changes slightly between each myth. The Epic of Gilgamesh contains an apocalyptic myth
where a god indirectly chooses a survivor to rescue the human race, and he receives a blessing
from the gods in return for his bravery and success. In the epic about ancient Mesopotamian religion
, Utnapishtim tells Gilgamesh the story of how he became immortal after surviving the gods
downpour. Utnapishtim lived on the banks of the Euphrates in a town called Shuruppak when
the great gods decided to send down the Deluge. Each of the gods swore on this plan, and chose to
keep it secret. However, one god named Ea yelled his swear at a wall: Abandon wealth and seek

information on their menstrual characteristics, current depressive symptoms, and history of

This study concluded that sexual abuse without physical abuse was not associated with eating
disorders. Women with histories of anorexia or bulimia and those who met the Diagnostic and

abuse without physical abuse was not associated with eating disorders, whereas physical abuse

(Pauly, 2009) Phosphorous is also a significant element of fertilizer that improves the other
nutrients effectiveness. Wheat needs phosphorous for healthy roots and early plant growth. (Roberts
1998) Wheat growth and development may be retarded if any one of these elements is lacking in
the soil or if a nutrient is not adequately balanced with other nutrients. (Pauly 2009) In order to
receive nutrients, the roots of a plant absorb water from a concentration gradient underground and
transport it the the stem of the plant. (Barber, Walker, Vasey, 1963)
Out of the various substances in fertilizer, nitrogen fertilizer supplies key nutrients for the
development of wheat. Because nitrogen fertilizer has little residue, it does not harm the
environment as much as other fertilizers. (Lam, Chen, Norton, Armstrong, 2012) Corn, wheat, and
rice, the fast growing crops on which humanity depends for survival, are among the most nitrogen
hungry of all plants. They demand more, in fact, than nature alone can provide. (Charles 2013)

In actuality, as revealed through viewpoint of the character Austerlitz, the 19th century
encapsulated the architectural style of the capitalist era...the compulsive sense of order and the
tendency towards monumentalism evident in law courts and penal institutions, railway stations
and stock exchanges, opera houses and lunatic asylums, and the dwelling build to rectangular grid
patterns for the labor force (33). The Palace of Justice in Brussels presents a perfect example of
Imperialist Architecture.
Built in the 1880s at the insistence of Brussels bourgeoisie, the Palace of Justice is the largest

staircases that fall apart at the touch, and rooms that cannot be entered (quite literally, there are no

44. The Different Types Of Business Communication
I have been contacted by Joseph Keegan LTD to help train their staff in regard to business
communication. I will produce a fact sheet below which the staff at Joseph Keegan s LTD can look
at and learn about the different types of business communication.
Types of information:
There are many different types of information and there are many different ways to communicate
these, these include verbal, electronic and non electronic. Methods of verbal communication
include:
Verbal: I personally think that face to face communication is the best method that a business can
use because of the fact that it allows the person who is doing the speaking to actually get some
feedback off of the person that is listening, an example of this is that if you had text somebody
saying something they would simply text you back and you wouldn t be able to see what their
body language says and this is why I believe businesses should use more face to face methods of
speaking to each other, this is because they are able to judge by body language if somebody is
lying to them or if somebody understands their idea correctly whereas through non verbal there is
no indication of this sort.
Although face to face is the best method it often isn t practical for a business that has limited
finances, time and resources. Telephone conversations are in my opinion the second best way of
verbally communicating, however, I personally am not very good at speaking to people on the
phone, I will answer with very short

45. Write An Essay On The Arctic Region
Arctic
The Arctic region has a very harsh climate with very short cool summers; while the most northerly
locations experience an extremely cold winter that lasts almost ten months.
This climate region has an annual precipitation of 35 50 cm each year.
Precipitation is low because the Arctic Ocean and other bodies of water are frozen for most of the
year, and there is very little evaporation. This region includes most of Nunavut as well as northern
parts of the Northwest Territories and Quebec.
Pacific Maritime
The Pacific Maritime region lies along British Columbia s west coast and its border with the Yukon
Territory on the way to Alaska. The Pacific Ocean provides a moderating effect to this maritime
climate, which means the summers are cool and the winters are mild. Precipitation along the coast
is very high, with some area receiving as much as 300o mm of rain in the north. Many people live
here because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here, winters are cold, and summers are warm.
Prairie
Includes the southern regions of the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Winters are very cold, and summers are very hot, this climate region has a wide temperature range
from summer to winter.
In winter, there is dry arctic air that makes the temperature well below freezing, and in summer,
the air is warm and dry. It is quite dry in this region because of the fact that not a lot of
precipitation occurs. Most of the rainfall happens in the spring and summer, and there is barely any
precipitation in winter.
Southeastern
This region includes Ontario and Quebec also parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. (Home to
Canada s major urban centres.) Moderately cold winters and warm summers.
This region experiences rainfall year round. The Great Lakes moderate the temperatures somewhat,
cooling the summer and warming up early winter.

46. Disadvantages Of Digital Devices
In most first world countries, such as the UK, it is common for an individual to have, on
average, 3.5 digital devices. However, there seems to be a clear discrepancy between the age
groups, as 18 to 24 year olds have 4.1 devices on average (GlobalData, 2017). In the third quarter
of 2017, 76% of respondents said that they owned a smartphone, up from 68% last year
(GlobalData, 2017). A high number of devices means high levels of connectivity. In our homes,
more and more devices are becoming increasingly digital and intelligent via sensors and
Internetenabled functionality. These devices are part of the subgroup known as the Internet of
Things . However, high levels of connectivity not only has advantages, but also disadvantages.
Cybercrime , cyber war , and hacktivism are all criminal digital activities, respectively designed
to steal assets, confound an enemy state, or make a political point (Khan et al., 2017). Nowadays,
Information Technology (IT) security is all about allowing access to friendly devices, but also
blocking access to unknown, or suspicious, devices (Von Solms and Van Niekerk, 2013).
However, what defines a suspicious device? With many organisations now allowing employees and
outsiders personal devices on to their network, via wired or wireless means, what security methods
need to be in place to protect critical assets? Many organisations use some form of authentication
and authorisation. However, each form has its own strengths and weaknesses,

47. Honda and Hybrid Electric Vehicles
Honda and Hybrid Electric Vehicles
Honda was founded in Hamamatsu, Japan, by Soichiro Honda in 1946 as the Honda Technical
Research Institute. The company began as a developer of engines for bicycles, but by 1949 it had
produced its first motorcycle, called the Dream. In 1959, Honda entered the U.S. automobile and
motorcycle market by opening the American Honda Motor Company. A few years later, in 1963,
Honda released its first sports car, the S500, in Japan. Honda Motor Co. Inc. grew rapidly to
become one of the largest automobile companies in the world. Its globalization strategy of building
factories around the world that would meet the needs of local customers had resulted in a total
worldwide presence of more than 100 factories ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sales of hybrids were further hindered by consumer ignorance regarding hybrid technology: as of
2004, 50 percent of U.S. consumers still believed that hybrid cars require battery regeneration via
electric plug.
Hybrid cars were also expensive to produce relative to traditional automobiles. While Honda
charged a sales price for the Insight that was comparable to its non hybrid counterparts around
$20,000, depending on options it was estimated that Honda lost as much as $8,000 per car when
the hybrids were originally launched, as a result of insufficient volume to achieve economies of
scale.

48. Personal Electronics, Clothing, And Vacation Destination
1.Consider the last purchase you made in these categories: personal electronics, clothing, and
vacation destination. To what extent was your purchase decision influenced by decision making
complexity, individual influences, social influences, and situational influences? What specific
issues were the most influential in making the decision? How could a marketer have swayed
your decision in each case? When making majority of my purchases I do research on the item
and analyze all the reviews that are left from customers that have already purchased the item.
The last personal electronic that I purchased was my Apple MacBook. The decision making
complexity was not a major issue when making this purchase. I have owned many laptops and
they all seemed to have last for about three to four years. My wife has owned her MacBook for
almost ten years and has never had an issue. I knew I was going to buy a MacBook and all the
different specs that I could choose from never really made a difference. The individual influence
from my wife played a major role in this purchase. She has never had any problems with her
MacBook and pushed that I make the same purchase for my next computer. The social influence
was not a major factor in the decision to make the purchase as many of my friends did not own a
MacBook. The situational influence played two major factors against the purchase of the
MacBook. The software that a MacBook uses is different from Windows that majority of computers
use.
