industry working in the private, public, not for profit
sectors as well as running my own training consultancy. I
have been a successful manager for 5 of those years and a
director of my own training business for over 13 years.

3. Designed and delivered programs to engage Aboriginal youth considered at risk of
disengaging with education and employment opportunities. ‘Dreaming for the Future’ in
urban and regional areas.
Developed and assisted in project managing the Station Officer Development Program
for the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service including compliance with ASQA
standards, SAMFS standards and national units of competency.
Developed in consultation with stakeholders(Police, Fire, Ambulance SES, Engineering,
Medivac) a national training package for Professionals in Urban Search and Rescue fields.
Built up a RegisteredTraining Organisation (RTO) from “greenfield” site to a company
with multiple sites across the state, 10 staff, several vocations on its scope of registration
with close to 500 accredited trainees and over 1000 non-accredited over the 3 years.
Budget of approximately $550K PA.
Developed policies, procedures and systems for several RTOs including compliance with
Australian QualificationTraining Framework Standards.
4. Successfully recruited, managed and provided leadership to a team of contract trainers
and assessors in a competitive business environment at AccessTraining.
Taken the Human Resource and Business Skills training of an RTO from a poor financial
position and low credibility to become an area “in demand” and profitable in 12
months achieving all financial targets.
Designed and facilitated organisational climate surveys for a large SA wine company
and designed a company-wide cultural values program for the same client.
As part of a management team, implemented strategies forTeamwork, Continuous
Improvement, Health & Well-being,Career Management and “The Learning
Organisation”.
Created a managerial profile for Senior Academic staff at the University of SA for use in
performance management
Wrote tender specifications for an Executive Development program at the University
of South Australia.
