This paper presents a novel technique for enhancing the resolution of flash analog to digital converters (ADCs), reducing the required number of comparators from 4096 to just 256 for 12-bit conversion while maintaining high speed. The proposed method partitions the analog input range into quantization cells and utilizes a successive approximation technique to achieve accurate digital output. The experimental prototype demonstrates successful functionality and acceptable non-linear characteristics, making it suitable for high-speed and high-resolution applications.
