We report two cases where combination of dexmedetomidine and ketamine as
procedural sedation was used in patients undergoing maxillofacial surgery. We were
able to achieve a calm, sedated and cooperative patient with preserved airway reflexes
and respiratory drive and minimal haemodynamic wavering in both cases. Procedural
sedation using dexmedetomidine and ketamine infusion was successfully used as an
alternative technique for providing anaesthesia that confers analgesia, while

Math has many different categories within itself and for this project, we had to
observe and solve problems on certain college placement tests. There were many
college placement tests to chooses from but I wanted to choose the college I want to
go to and the test that I wanted to answer. I chose the Monmouth Mathematics
Placement Test and Barton College Practice
Placement Test. For each one, we had to categorize how many questions were in each
type of math whether it was algebra, geometry, or calculus. The Barton test had 64
geometry problems and 16 trigonometry problems while the Monmouth test had 50
problems which were all algebra.
I answered the Barton test because I liked the different variety of algebra problems
it was consisted of. The Monmouth test I will do at a future date because that is
where I wanna go and it will help me practice math and help me pass their
placement test. I was actually surprised about both of their tests because I thought
they were gonna be a lot harder. Most of the problems seemed like Algebra 1 and I
believe I have excelled in that since freshman year. They both had problems on

Education has been an important part of society for centuries. Over the years it has
slowly evolved into what it is today. The topic of education has been controversial
since the beginning. It seems as though there is always someone that sees a need for
change in how students are being taught and assessed. More specifically, many people
think that standardized testing is not an effective way to assess students. While on
the other hand, many also believe that standardized testing is the most efficient and
effective way to assess people of all ages. The debate over standardized testing has
been shown to effect students and the community in many different ways.
Standardized assessments have had huge impacts with both teachers and students.
Whether one thinks standardized testing is effective and efficient or misdirecting and
unproductive it is a big part of the educational system. While the argument may
present that standardized tests leads to simulated knowledge, others argue that
standardized tests are very effective in assessing students. In America, standardized
testing started to show up during the Industrial Revolution when more and more
children began attending school rather than working in factories or on family farms.
Due to a back to basics movement during the 1970s, there was a big emphasis on
low level functional skills and the proliferation of minimum competency tests
(Marzano 9). However by the time we get to the 1990s, standardized tests began to be

Brook! You will never guess what I saw at the state park in Arkansas with my
family. I want to hear all about it, walk me through it step by step and don t leave
any detail out.
OK, I will start with the drive to the park.
The road is secluded, trees encompass you as you drive. The GPS directs that it is
only a few more miles, but in your mind, you know you need to turn around. Then
the trees open up to a little wooden cabin just off the road. After 6 hours in the
vehicle, you bust open the door, and as your legs swing out the door, you can feel
a stretch throughout your entire body. Your body was stiff but now is surrounded
by the fresh air. The little cabin is actually a camp store, and in it you find the
assistance and the map needed to tackle the upcoming adventure. The road winds a
few more miles till you near the lodge. Buckled down with water, a camera, and
wearing the proper shoes you walk toward the trail. Something catches your eye, and
with a turn of your head, there it is. The lodge overlooks the most incredible view,
one that could only have been created by God. The lookout reveals mountains of trees
with an unforeseeable future. After admiring the beauty, the trail calls your name. It
starts out wide and covered with gravel, without a moment to think the terrain
changes. You start to walk down the mountain, the gravel turned to dirt and with the
help from the dew and rain it was mud, and the mountain grew a little steeper with
