seek their independence from Nigeria. This is however not an anomaly, as seen in
the case of Sudan and South Sudan. There are international laws and provisions that
make it possible for the Igbos to secede from Nigeria, however it would be a

Crystal Cave Crystal Cave is full of life. My favorite vacation was the time my
family and I went to Pennsylvania s Crystal Cave. Crystal Cave is one of
Pennsylvania s most famous tourist attractions, which was discovered in 1881.
Crystal Cave was once completely submerged underwater and was formed by an
earthquake. It was July 2017, that my family and I were staying in a hotel room in
Pennsylvania. We had many things planned for this trip, so we always had
something to do. One of the places I saw we were going to was a cavecalled Crystal
Cave. I had no knowledge of this cave, so I didn t know what to expect. But I had
remembered the last cave I went to here, Penns Cave. I loved that place, I was
fascinated there. So I told my family that I wanted to go to Crystal Cave, so we
packed some things and went.
When we first arrived there, the showed us a 4 5 minute video about Crystal Cave.
I learned that the cave was founded in 1881 by two brothers, William and George
Vanasse. I also learned that they had both carved their names in the walls of the
cave and you can still see them right now. But Crystal Cave wasn t just a normal
cave that you explore in, back then, people used it for weddings, parties, etc. The
room where they held these events is still fully functional, so you can still go in
there, but I don t think you can have a party in there anymore. When we finally got
into the cave, our tour guide told us that there are colonies of brown bats living in
the cave, but they have their own part of the cave, so you can t bother them. It was
cold in the cave, so everyone wore a sweatshirt. We also saw many different rock
formations such as animals, ice cream, and even one that looks like Donald Duck!
There were many glistening and shining crystals that William and George had
thought were diamonds, but they were just a very common crystal. They had a cave
formation that you could touch. The tour guide called them rotten eggs because they
looked like eggs that had been dropped and never cleaned up. When I touched them,
they were smooth and moist, yet somehow warm and lumpy. They had a rare rock

differ greatly in the language used. In order to complete this project, I took linguistic
concepts I had learned about in the text such as grammar, context, and
communicative competence and applied them to the language usage in these TV

There is not a wide variety in speech in each show. Grey s Anatomy is typically
more formal and professional while Empire is slightly less formal. The characters
mentioned so far have been couples or former couples. Because of this, they speak
differently with each other than they do with other characters in the show. A strong
use of communicative practices is apparent for all characters. For example,
Meredith and Derek from Grey s Anatomy are married. They have more casual
conversation with one another compared to Meredith and her boss, Richard. Lucious
and Cookie are a former couple. They may have a more personal relationship but

genre. While I have not watched every episode of these two television programs, from

I deserve this scholarship because I try and make an effort everyday at school. I
will admit that I took my first semester of ninth grade in high school for a joke. I
was excited to be moving up to the bigger school. So, my grades went up and
down. I started off in the Honors program but ended up being kicked out because of
my math class. That was the hardest class I had. It was literally easy. However, I had
just transferred from Northridge High Schoolin Tuscaloosa, AL. The same math was
being taken, but we were doing at Northridge was what Bibb County High School
would be taking last. Our lessons plans were opposites. So, when I got there I
already knew the things she didn t teach me. By the end of the course I was making
a passing grade.

Reflection Of A Play Amadeus
On November 30, 2017, I viewed a play called Amadeus, from the comfort of my
home. Didn t think I would like it seeing that this would be my first time ever
seeing a play like this one. I was thinking to myself am I going to like it, will I be
able to sit through the whole play without being bored.
Within the first couple of seconds, I was amazed at how the characters from the
start of the play really drew me in with their chanting and the two characters going
on and on about the tale of Antonio Salieri. I liked how they went back and forth
about what they heard and who they heard it from. Those two in my opinion really
set the play in motion and gave just enough insight on Salieri to have you on your
toes. In my mind I m asking the same questions, did Salieri really poison Mozart and
if so why to tell it now? I m really into it now just from the first couple minutes.
There wasn t a lot of props which I thought was a great idea, seeing that too many
props couple draw the attention away from the characters. The play had it s really
dark moments, like when Salieri first came on he seems very depressed and angry.
My thoughts on Salieri is that he seemed very bitter and insane but the actor playing
Salieri really brought this character to life. He never lost my attention and seemed
very live throughout the entire scene. All the characters did an amazing job and the
costumes really set the time frame. I just have one question, did the men in those
times really wear a lot of

The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith, set in 1950s in a somewhat vibrant,
jazz influenced Italy, gives a vivid insight into the mind of a small time conman
turned psychopath. It also provides us with the central concepts of amorality,
paranoia and how that survival and greed for money can turn almost ordinary people
uncaring and self indulgent. Highsmith s use of third person narrative is an effective

Overall the themes and plots were similar, but there were additional characters and
a different ending. There were also small details that were changed, but overall I
did not enjoy the movie as much I thought I was going to after reading the book. In
the same way that every mystery is exciting until you find the logical explanation,
the film is intriguing because you don t have the luxury of knowing Tom s
background, or why he covets Dickie s lifestyle. It was because of these changes,
even though some were minor that I did not enjoy the movie. I do understand
though that in order to appeal to a more broad audience the producers had to add
and change details in order for it to be more appealing. The differences did not
make the movie unexciting, but the book is definitely better. The book provides a
more in depth profile analysis of the characters involved and especially puts a point
