I Need Someone To Write My Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic "I Need Someone To Write My Essay" can be a challenging
endeavor for several reasons. Firstly, the topic itself introduces a paradoxical situation, as the act
of expressing the need for external assistance in writing an essay is somewhat self-referential.
This creates a unique challenge of maintaining a coherent and persuasive argument while
navigating the delicate balance of vulnerability and assertiveness.
Additionally, addressing such a topic requires a nuanced approach to avoid sounding desperate
or overly dependent on external support. Striking the right tone is crucial to convey the genuine
need for assistance without compromising the integrity of the essay or appearing as though the
writer is evading their responsibilities.
Moreover, the essay must delve into the underlying reasons for seeking help in the first place.
This involves introspection and self-awareness to articulate the specific challenges, whether they
be related to time constraints, lack of expertise in the subject matter, or other personal reasons.
Clearly presenting these reasons while maintaining a sense of professionalism is no small feat.
Furthermore, navigating the ethical considerations of outsourcing academic work should be
addressed cautiously. The essay must carefully weigh the benefits of seeking assistance against
the potential pitfalls, acknowledging the importance of maintaining academic integrity and
ethical standards.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the topic "I Need Someone To Write My Essay" poses a
multifaceted challenge that demands a delicate balance of self-disclosure, articulation of
challenges, and ethical considerations. The process requires careful thought, introspection, and
skillful writing to ensure that the essay effectively communicates the need for assistance while
maintaining the writer's credibility.
For those who find themselves in need of such assistance, it's worth noting that HelpWriting.net

A Vagrant Tinker
Tinkers takes after the interweaved lives of three New England ages: child, father,
and granddad. It is likewise a reflection of time and memory, families and human
slightness, and the battle to discover arrange in a tumultuous universe.
The story starts in 1972, amid the most recent eight days of George Washington
Crosby s life. As he lies biting the dust in his home, encompassed by family, George s
memory slips almost 70 years back so as to his own particular youth, and to his
dad, Howard Aaron Crosby, a vagrant tinker, writer and epileptic, repelled from his
child and family. Time overlap in on itself, additionally back to Howard s
recollections of his dad a Methodist evangelist; an odd and delicate man , whose

when George is twelve, his dad s fantastic mal seizure at the family supper table
turns into a defining moment in his life; George flees from home and doesn t think

Sylvia Plath
Sylvia Plath is said to be one the most prodigious, yet interesting, confessional poets
of her time. She was an extremely vital poet of the post World War II time period
and expressed her feelings towards her father and husband through her poetry. Plath s
mental illness had a dramatic influence upon her work in which she demonstrated the
hatred she had for her father specifically. The poem Daddyis an easily applicable
example. Within this piece of work, Plath uses direct references to how she feels
towards her father who was the greatest influence on her poetry. The bond, or lack
of, between Sylvia Plath and her Daddy is commonly associated with the purpose of
her poetry. Her father died when Plath was only ten years old and... Show more

Eileen M. Aird analyzes and comments, The danger of such criticism lies in its
assumption that the poem is objectively true , that it bears a precise relationship to
the facts of the poet s life. The direct criticism Plath puts upon her father is very
crucial, yet evidently true if one was research her life. Sylvia Plath s
autobiographical poetry can be easily connected to her life and the answers to the
many questions are easier to uncover than one may suspect. As her poetry
developed, it became more autobiographical and although through her teenage
years she possessed what seemed to be a rounded personality, the anguish and grief
of her father s death was easily linked with her mental instability that haunted her in
the later years. Her time period is easily reflected in the poem with the severity in
her reference to Nazis, swastikas, barbed wire, fascists, brutes, devils, and
vampires. In Daddy , Plath refers to herself as a Jew multiple times, An engine, an
engine Chuffing me off like a Jew. A Jew to Dachau, Auschwitz, Belsen. I began to
talk like a Jew. I think I may well be a Jew.
The extremity Plath went to to emphasize these references during her time period
were enough to make any soul cringe. World War II s concentration camps are still
enough over half a century later to make one shudder in despair. The rage Plath has
for her father is so easily conveyed to the reader that an illiterate individual could

When you sent me the most recent performance feedback, in the email you stated
you knew it had been a tough few weeks, and that we already discussed most of the
items you put on the feedback and that you had set a meeting for us to discuss the
feedback on Monday (5/22) and a plan of action going forward. Then on Monday you
stated you wanted to have this formal meetingwe are having today. Everything
caught me by surprise, the unacceptable rating of my monthly performance

closing a case and have told you where I am at the moment on each case and given
you the reasons I hadn t been able to move forward when stuck. On the other hand,
during this past rating period, the tasks assigned to me seemed to be impossible to
manage as my focus was moved from wrapping up the Cold Bay case to whatever
Dan Byrd wanted at the time to the ASCHR investigation. And I admit that I did
not completely ignore the rest of my duties, like responding to emails, phone calls,
questions from the support staff, evaluation processing, etc. to focus 100% on the
highest priorities. But I also found myself trying to focus on the Cold Bay case, for
example, and you asking me to shift my focus to respond to Dan Byrd immediately,
you had also scheduled pre d meetings I had to have with Dan Byrd, without talking
to me prior the arrangement. And as I understood that was another way for you to
tell me it was top priority to you, I didn t decline doing the meeting, even when I
knew it was going to affect the other high priority items I had going on. I ve been

Essay on Diageo Capital Structure Case
1) Overview / Introduction
Diageo was created when Grand Metropolitan, plc and Guiness, plc merged in
1997. While the Diageo name is not well known to consumers, its brands are among
the most famous including Guinness, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker and Cuervo. The
company recently decided to focus on a strategy to grow through its spirits, wine
and beer businesses and divest of its Pillsbury and Burger King subsidiaries. This
case study will focus on the proposed capital structure decisions of Diageo.
2) Is Diageo s current capital structure appropriate to its new business? It believes
that it has traditionally had a conservative debt policy. If so, is that policy still
appropriate? Has Diageo s capital structure been as conservative ... Show more

Having a conservative debt policy increased the credit worthiness of the firm.
Because the firm believes that the interest coverage ratio is a critical factor for credit
rating agencies, they attempted to keep this ratio very high. Also, by having a
higher credit rating they are able to access short term commercial paper borrowings
at better rates. This type of short term borrowing makes up 47% of Diageo s
portfolio. By not having a strong credit rating they would not be able to lock in the
low rates which would impact their business significantly.
4) What recommendation is the firm s trade off model for Diageo s future capital
structure?
In order to maintain its credit rating, Diageo s Treasury team recommends an
interest coverage of 5x to 8x, but the simulation based model calculated an optimal
interest coverage. Figure 2 shows minimal cost corresponding with an interest
coverage of approximately 4.2. Shown in the gray bars, the cost of taxes paid

Marilynne Robinson’s Housekeeping
Marilynne Robinson s Housekeeping Beyond Reason
Marilynne Robinson gives voice to a realm of consciousness beyond the bounds of
reason in her novel Housekeeping. Possibly concealed by the melancholy but gently
methodical tone, boundaries and limits of perception are constantly redefined,
rediscovered, and reevaluated. Ruth, as the narrator, leads the reader through the
sorrowful events and the mundane details of her childhood and adolescence. She
attempts to reconcile her experiences, fragmented and unified, past, present, and
future, in order to better understand or substantiate the transient life she leads with
her aunt Sylvie. Rather than the wooden structure built by Edmund Foster, the house

Ruth is able to perceive each moment as a reference point for past events as well as
events to come.
Paradoxes within this invisible rational framework begin to emerge, however.
Because human senses are inherently limited and fallible and memories are by their
nature fragmented, isolated, and arbitrary, they are highly suspect in providing
reliable evidence of rational structure to the progression of thoughts and
experiences of any individual or group (53). Order can and will be made from the
fragments available in a given situation; it is an extension of the most intense form
of human will. The world will be made whole For to wish a hand on one s hair is all
but to feel it. So whatever we may lose, the very craving gives it back again (153)
Memory thus houses a great paradox: the ability to create a sense of completeness and
the ability to provoke the most profound sense of loss. It is the paradox woven into
the nature of memory which moves time forward. The force behind the movement of
time is a mourning that will not be comforted (192). Based in part on her memories,
Ruth begins to consider the idea that in committing suicide, her mother wanted to
evoke a less absolute, constantly negotiated existence, whole and fragment , within
her daughters minds (163).
Rather than attempt to pull herself into some unseemly shape and slip across into
that other world as her
Employment Discrimination Within The Workplace
Employment Discrimination in Indonesia
As stated on wikipedia.org, discrimination is action that denies social participation
or human rights to categories of people based on prejudice. This includes treatment
of an individual or group based on their actual or perceived membership in a certain
group or social category, in a way that is worse than the way people are usually
treated . This could be done directly or indirectly. Direct discriminationcould arise
from punishments and indirect discrimination could come up from strict rules or
regulation that make the individual feel uncomfortable. Discrimination can take
various forms. It can includes gender, salary receipts, color, race, religion, national
origin, and etc. Gender discrimination in the workplace usually addressed to the
female gender, it occurs when there is a difference treatment in electing a leader
for women. Salary receipts can also be a cause of discrimination in the workplace,
it happens when an employee paid a monthly salary and it was not worth his or her
hard work for the company. In this article the author will be focus on a gender
discrimination which commonly occur in the workplace. Race, color, and national
origin arise when an employer s standards or policies for selecting or promoting
employees have a discriminatory effect on employees or job applicants in these
protected classes (Cross Miller, 2012). A pleasant and healthy environment is

Chinese Immigration in the 19th Century America
1. Introduction Since its founding, the United States has attracted immigrants from
all over the world and consists of a variety of different cultures. Immigration has had
an enormous impact on American society and economy and shaped the country
remarkably. American was dominated by the image of the melting pot that melts up
all race differences and cultures to become on American culture. The ideas of
multiculturalism started at the end of the nineteenth century and turned into the
concept of cultural pluralism that defined the nation as a mixture of diverse
ethnicities with different cultural backgrounds, all co existing and contributing to the
new nation. Over the past centuries, there have been debates on how to define the real

surrounded by forests. This lithograph depicts a common camp scene at the mines in
California. The Gold Rush drew thousands of Chinese workers to America. Besides
fleeing from poverty and bad political situations in their home country, the one
common goal was to reach economic wealth. But as much as they were searching for
a better life, most of the Chinese immigrants did not intend to stay in the country
permanently (Daniels 11). When the first Chinese arrived on steamships, they were
greeted with hostility because they quickly became a significant part of labour. They
were known to be hard and reliable workers. BorthwickВґs intend was to picture
every ethnic group that immigrated to America during the Gold Rush era. His
drawing shows no derision or fear rather than curiosity. Big newspapers and
magazines published the first pictures of the Chinese to inform the people how the
newly arrived Chinese look like and how they integrate. The immigrants were a
newsworthy subject, especially on the East coast. The picture shows their daily
activities and how they lived. The men that are working in the back support the
image of the Chinese as reliable and productive labours. The artist pictures
A Study On Traumatic Brain Injury
parindent{ }Traumatic brain injury is a significant health problem in the United
States that is estimated to occur in 1.6 1.8 million persons annually
(citealt{faul2010}). Diffuse axonal injury is %the most frequently occurring a
common type of traumatic brain injury primarily characterized by damage to the
axons (citealt{smith2000, Gennarelli1982}). An improved understanding of the
pathophysiology of diffuse axonal injury is needed to develop improved diagnostic
tools, protective measures and rehabilitation treatments(citealt{Giordano2014}).
Many techniques have been developed to help elucidate the injury mechanism
associated with diffuse axonal injury over years. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is
one such technique where the mesoscale structural information is studied to
investigate the diffuse axonal injury. Finite element models have also provided a
means to investigate diffuse axonal injury. Several finite element head models have
been developed and reported in the literature
(citealt{shugar1977,ward1980,hosey1982,Ruan1991,mendis1992,bandak1995,kang1997,al199
These models have demonstrated that over time, the structural resolution of the head
models, including advancements in constitutive laws, anatomical resolution, and
injury descriptions were improved. Previous studies have shown that the brain tissue

Not all of these sorts of stimuli effects correspond to our consciousness. Prinz
references numerous empirical studies taking place over the recent decades to
support some unconscious perceptions.
Unconscious perceptions do not make it past Prinz s lower level. Lower level
perceptions don t make it past the first filter. The first filter is loosely explained, but
cases studied match Prinz s requirement for availability to the working memory,
which only happens past the first filter. Sensory change alone is not sufficient. One
instance studied is inattentional blindness . In inattentional blindness cases
participants cannot report on changes in their visual stimuli. These perceptions,
though they are not reportable, still appear on brain imaging studies. For example,
when you have participants focus on a particular aspect of their stimuli others go
unnoticed. One study had the members count how many times a basketball was
passed by people wearing white shirts. Meanwhile an all black gorilla moves through
the scene unnoticed. This study showed brain activity without awareness. Research
on unilateral neglect is consistent with inattentional blindness.
Unilateral neglect affects behavior and appears on brain imaging scans but those
affected by it lack a full representation. Images are split vertically and patient s
behavior can be unconsciously manipulated. For example, researchers edited the left
side of a picture of a house. The image now looked like the left side was

Couples retreat
Getting married is the most amazing thing that happens in everyone s life. If you are
in love and then sharing this eternal bond, then you are the luckiest couple ever, but
if this is the arranged gift from your parents and family then it becomes the
responsibility and duty, to make your partner aware that you love them and
understand them. Generally, in marriages, no matter whether it is love or arranged,
a time comes when the eternal endearing and intimacy is lost because now they start
behaving more like two people tied in the knot of responsibility, rather than the
couple who supposed to love each other, care about each other and be the shock

But, as you are human and this is by default is your tendency to get carried away
with the worst rather than the good, and you start keeping check on the duties and
responsibilities you shared rather than the most romantic days you shared. Being a
husband you say, I am the man of the house, I earn, I hope and still you complain

How Would You Characterize the Leadership of Walmart...
Part 5
Question 2: How would you characterize the leadership of Walmart founder Sam

The leadership of Walmart is Authentic Leadership which refers to individuals who
know and understand themselves, who espouse and act consistent with higher order
ethical values, and who empower and inspire others with their openness and
authenticity. There are 5 key characteristics of authentic leaders, which are: (i)
Authentic leaders pursue their purpose with passion, (ii) Authentic leaders practice

Thus, even though we are in pressure, we must hide it and show our dedication to

other worker to do so. Indirectly, the leader became a role model to the worker in
their work. Leaders have big responsibility to be handling, by practicing the solid
value, it will smooth the management.
Third characteristic is authentic leaders lead with their hearts as well their heads.
All leaders sometimes have to make tough choices, but authentic leaders maintain a
compassion for others as well as the courage to make difficult decisions. In

Rite Of Passage In The Body By Gordie Lachance
Have you ever wondered if the ordeals you went through could become a rite of
passage? These ordeals could be a big event that could change a person s entire
foundation, such as marriage, or it can be something small, like being inspired to

elaborates about the author s childhood where he and his friends went through an
ordeal that is a rite of passage. This ordeal was considered a journey for the boys as
they believed in the frame and glory once they found the corpse of Ray Browser, a
young boy around the same age as the author and his friends. The journey started out
as an easygoing adventure, a playful type that could be considered as an innocent boy
running in the park playing tag with his buddies. However, the journey changes into a

Chris and Gordie were able to force Ace s crew from getting the body. The journey
has given the boys a more thoughtful insight into the outside world molding them to

Should Textbooks Still Be Used In School
Print Textbooks should still be Used in School Which is easier to use in class: a

school because of their portability and interactivity. Should printed textbooks still
be used in school? Textbooks are definitely easier and should still be used in
school. Why? Even though tablets are convenient, print textbooks should still be
used because textbooks are more accessible, physical and are easier to integrate.
What does it mean for a textbook to be accessible? An accessible object is one that
can be easily approached, reached, and entered. An accessible textbook can be
easily read. Print textbooks are definitely easier to use than electronic ones because
they are not distracting and are available everywhere. These small devices are
filled with distractions. With a normal class book all that is needed to reach the

Occupational Therapy Research Paper
Occupational therapy helps to heal a multitude of disabilities; the current high
demand for therapists is somewhat due to modern issues, but some have been
occurring since the beginning of mankind. Missing a limb is one problem that has
occurred for millennium. There is documented evidence that humans have tried to
replace a missing appendage since approximately 950 B.C. Throughout time
prostheticshave mainly been produced with crude leftover supplies like wood, metal,
and leather. More recently, rapid advancements in technology have helped progress
the artificial limbfrom a beam of wood to a robotic arm controlled by the persons own

A major impetus to improving artificial limbs started when the United States
encouraged companies to improve prosthetics instead of munitions (Norton,
2007). The combination of lighter materials and robotics assist has created huge
advancements in functionality and has dramatically improved quality of life and
potential for independent living. Even with the advancement of these limbs, the
basic mechanical principals are still the same. Modern times allow for many
different types of limbs to be created. Limbs can be created to match skin tone,
freckles and fingerprints. There are three many ways a limb can be made to move.
The first is attaching the limb to a moving body part to act as a gear shifter.
Another variation is a motor attached and the person can switch modes by a
mechanical toggle shift. The most advanced movement is the myoelectric
capability. This is when electrodes are placed on the muscles of the residual limb.
When contracted the arm will move according to which electrode fired. A
microprocessor can also be attached to learn exactly how the person walks
(Clements, 2008). Modern prosthetics offer valuable life skills, yet are very

Julia Butterfly Hill American Heroin Essay example
Why should I care about some lady living in a tree? Is the question that I asked
myself before I read the book В‘The Legacy of Luna . Like most people, I glanced
at its contents ran my fingers through the pages and decided that it would not interest
me. However it was not long before I changed my mind after reading about her
magnificent inner strength and my doubts were soon disbanded for I began to realize
its inspiration and the author s inner strength.
В‘The Legacy of Luna is filled with self determination, love and sacrifice. These
commodities outline the path of which Julia embarked upon to discover her true
character. It s an epic battle between our heroine of the novel and her oppressors, also

It was at this very moment that she realized that one of her goals was to be protector
of these majestic trees.
Upon her volunteering for a tree sit (something she knew nothing about) in her
effort to become part of the solution, her journey began. Her calling in life had
found her, and she was determined not to shirk her responsibilities, but rather live up
to the task she believed to have been presented with. So strongly she felt about this
task, that she was very determined to overcome any obstacles that could be put in her
way.
Julia speaks of her childhood at the very beginning of the novel. She speaks of her
preparations for the challenges of life, how she was poor and deprived of luxuries
that most children desired and how religion played a very important roll in her
families life.
Indeed, Julia was the daughter of a preacher and this family environment set the tone
of her spiritual beliefs and morals. One may argue that her home environment may
have prepared her well for the future events, considering she did not abandon her
spiritual feeling when she came upon the redwoods in the park.
She survived sorrowful nights, braved many a storm and kept her strength against
media scrutiny. To add insult to injury she also survived the harsh battle with
lumbering organizations as well as the opposition from the home team as even some
of her fellow activists stood against her.
Julia s amazing faith coincided with her strength in
The Beauty and Danger of Barangay Loyola Heights
Whether you are driving from C.P. Garcia, Commonwealth or White Plains, you
can tell where you are by spotting the towering buildings of Berkeley Residences or
SM Blue. When you happen to drive by this area, you can definitely feel the busy
atmosphere with students and professionals here and there either with a handful of
papers to work on or just hanging out with their friends or colleagues, and the air of
rush hour in the morning and the afternoon. But in spite of the frustrations of this
crowded place brings daily, you can never deny the beauty of Barangay Loyola
Heights, home to several academic institutions such as the Ateneo de Manila
University, and where the concrete jungle and flora and fauna meet.
Meanwhile, Katipunan Avenue is a long stretch of buildings and institutions where
higher educational facilities and residential areas are situated and where students
and businessmen flock for meetings and the latest hangout places. Other areas of
Barangay Loyola Heights like Esteban Abada St. and Xavierville Avenue are also
lined with similar establishments and high security subdivisions. Also, the number
of dormitories and high rise condominiums that cater students of nearby universities
is growing and the population of residents is increasing, so more and more shops
and restaurants are open 24 hours a week, all the more people are going to Katip in
the dead of night, making Loyola Heights not only one of the most popular and
busiest places in Quezon City, but one
Actuaries and Physical Therapists

Actuaries and Physical Therapists Does anyone have a hard time choosing what
career or job which they really want to do in the future? I personally have two jobs
that I am considering right now: actuary and physical therapist. Actuaries basically
manage risk. They help organizations plan for the future and protect themselves
from loss. Physical therapists use a variety of techniques to improve mobility,
relieve pain and prevent permanent physical disabilities in their patients. The reason
why I am choosing between these two jobs is very much related to my past
experience. Since my youth, I was influenced by my elder sister who is very ... Show

In other words, some top earners earn more than that.
Moreover, both actuaries and physical therapists are high demand jobs. According
to Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook (2010), demand for
actuary in United States will see a projected growth rate of 27% through 2020. The
education process and examination procedure for becoming fully qualified actuaries
can be very demanding, causing this profession to remain very small in the world.
As a result, actuaries are in high demand, and they are highly paid for the services
they provide. The reason for actuaries to be high in demand is because the students
that were studying actuarial science in college tend to change majors into an easier
course because they find it hard to cope with the tremendous pressure. For them, it
was very stressful to take a series of professional papers where the probability to
pass those exams were extremely low. There are a number of my friends which
started off their first year of college studying actuarial science, changed into some
easier course later on, such as Business Administration. The journey of becoming
physical therapists is also not easy. All physical therapists must receive a graduate
degree before taking the National Physical Therapy Examination that allows them to
practice. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook
Handbook (2010), demand for physical therapists in United States will see a projected
The Importance Of Communicating And People
Understand...
Communication has always been a up and down aspect in my life. I believe
communicating is the purpose of receiving and giving information to others, but I
also believe that communicating is a way of expressing yourself to the rest of the
world. I do understand that others have greater levels of communicating and people
understand communicationdifferently. I have experienced both of these aspects of
communication in groups I have been part of. Personally, I prefer to work in a
group setting rather than as an individual. I like the support, experiences, and even
friendships that evolve from group work. I believe that group communication
helps to create a memorable and positive outcome for the task rather than doing it
independently. I have been apart of many groups throughout my high school and
college years and I have enjoyed and learned many different things from each one.
One group in particular in which I learned a lot and was able to gain many skills
was from my core group . I was a New Student Orientation Assistant (NSOA) when
entering my sophomore year at Eastern. NSOAs assist the new students with their
transition to Eastern. There were over 150 of us students that were divided into core
groups. I was with my core group for five days and with them throughout those days
for more than 12 hours. Through those long training days, we learned a lot about one
another. As a group, we bonded and were able to successfully complete the First Four
training and orientation.
The Vapor Absorption System
1.4VAPOR ABSORPTION SYSTEM
The attention of the vapor absorption system is growing in the past two decades.
The major two advantages are growing up this technology that is low carbon
emission technology and low electrical energy required. This system is operated with
the help of low heating sources like solar power, geothermal, waste heat, low pressure
steam, and it contributes significant energy conservation. Ecofriendly working
fluid leads to reduce the global warming and ozone layer depletion. The following
reason is also growing the research interest of the system. It is suitable for small to
very large capacity. Operating cost is too less when compared with other
commercial technology, and it is required very less electrical energy to operate the
pump. Less maintenance cost because of heat exchangers and there are no moving
parts in the system. The installation can be done in a remote area, and it is movable.
The system can be operated at various cold and refrigeration ranges from 15 to 25
В°C.
1.4.1Overview of Absorption Technology
William Cullen and Nairne invented the mechanical vapor compression system in
1755 and, it is one of the oldest refrigeration device operated based on the
absorption refrigeration principle. He made ice by the distilling effect of evaporating
the air. He placed water in contact with air under the receiver of a vacuum pump. The
pump accelerated evaporation of the air and the temperature significantly reduced
and; it freezes the water
The Evolution Of The Current Celebrity System Through...
Abstract Recognizing and understanding the evolution of the current celebrity system
through parasocial interaction is the focus of this study. This paper utilized an
empirical generalization literature review through content analysis. For future
research, a qualitative method using a sample survey of fans and celebrities will be
employed. The benefits and drawbacks of the relationship between fans and
celebrities were studied in regard to parasocial interaction. From the literature review,
four primary empirical generalizations emerge: parasocial interaction is seen
universally and performed across platforms, amplifies with increased participation,

conducted. More specifically, this paper will discuss the current status of research
literature on parasocial interaction, will debate the positive and negative affects of
the subject and will suggest the expansion of parasocial interaction to other forms of
fan and celebrity contact. Literature Review For the purposes of this literature
review, parasocial interaction, also interchangeable with the term parasocial
relationship, is defined as the imagined relationship between fans and celebrities
alive or fictional (Bocarnea Brown, 2007). To be clear, the celebrity system is not a
unique form of status (Miller, 2010). Celebrity fame has always been part social
background, performativity, public relations and a little magic. Past research
compares the current celebrity system to that of Greek Olympics or Elizabeth drama.
Although the celebrity status is more fluid it is reminisce of an Indian caste system,
which the theory of status is found upon. Ultimately, the past should not be forgotten
when considering where the media status system is going (Milner, 2010), and how
that will affect the relationship and dynamic

The Chocolate War Analysis
You can put a band aid on a cut but nothing can heal your mind. Within The
Chocolate War by Robert Cormier, Archie Costello s psychological tactics of
violence are more useful than Emile Janza s physical tactics. Archie manipulates
the student body of Trinity with mind games such as the assignments. Meanwhile,
Emile is not very manipulative, he uses brutal and physically hurtful ways to get
to people. Archie is more effective of getting what he wants with using his tactics
of mind games, rather than Emile s brutal ways. Throughout Trinity, Archie
Costello makes the lives of the student body scarce. Part of this is his
psychological stratagems. With the assignments he comes up with, many of the
kids tend to fall apart, like Goober. When selling the chocolates, The Goober s
breath came fast. But otherwise he felt nothing. He willed himself to feel nothing.
He didn t feel rotten. He didn t feel like a traitor. He didn t feel small and cowardly.
And if he didn t feel all of these things, then why was he crying all the way to his
locker (Cormier 211). Goober is not selling the chocolates because he wants to stand
up for Jerry, but Archie stops this. He manipulates it and makes it seem as if Goober
had sold all of them, defeating Goober s purpose. With something as simple as this,
Goober is in emotional pain and much instability. Secondly, Archie even has a way to
effectively torture Janza. Throughout, Archie repeatedly tells Emile that he has an
inappropriate picture of him,
Aspiration Pneumoniis
Aspiration is known as the inhalation of taking material into the lungs as well as
gastric contents or oropharyngeal into the airways. Aspiration usually leads to serious
complications such as aspiration pneumonia, which is an infectious process from
aspiration of oropharyngeal contents. Aspiration pneumonitis is direct chemical lung
injury from the aspirated material. Most often it cannot be distinguished clinically or
radiographically from aspiration pneumonia.
During aspiration, the normal swallowing process can be disrupted. A bacterium
enters the lungs following aspiration of oropharyngeal material that contains a
mixture of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Most healthy adults who are in a situation

The Functionalist Theory Of Education
The functionalist perspective is based largely on the works of Herbert Spencer, Emile
Durkheim, Talcott Parsons, and Robert Merton. According to functionalism, society
is a system of interconnected parts that work together in harmony to maintain a state
of balance and social equilibrium for the whole. Functionalism is a positive theory
and in this case will look at how education contributes to the stability of society.
Sociologists usually begin their sociological analysis with the following questions; 1.
How does education contribute to the well being and mainetenance of society. 2.
What is the relationship between education and other parts of the social system.

Unlike the functionalist theory who looks at the positive impacts of education and
how it contributes to the stability of society, the conflict theory looks at the
negative, conflicted and ever changing nature of society. The functionalist theory
accepts the status quo and does not encourage social change. One of the major
contributors to this theory was Karl Marx. Conflict theorists are of the belief that
the education system is designed to meet the interests of the capitalist class. The
believe that society is made up of two groups; The ruling class and the subject
class. They are of the view that the rich and powerful, forces social order on the
poor and weak. This essay will focus on the functionalist theory as it relates to how
education impacts society through: Socialization, providing a bridge between
particularistic values and universalistic values, meritocracy and the labour force and
also from the conflict perspective and their views of how the education system
exploits the labour force, meritocracy is a mythand also how the education system is

The Pros And Consequences Of Sexual Violence
Sexual violence is О„any sexual act, attempt to obtain a sexual act, unwanted sexual
comments or advances, or acts to traffic, or otherwise directed, against a person s
sexuality using coercion, by any person regardless of their relationship to the victim,
in any setting, including but not limited to home and work (WHO, 2002:149).
Sexual violence is a worldwide phenomenon. Available data shows that one in four
women may experience a form of sexual violence by a partner and one third of
teenage girl report that their first sexual experience was by force (WHO,
2002:149). Sexual assault not only causes a physical injury but also is associated
with mental health trauma. The mental trauma caused by the sexual assault can be
as serious as the physical trauma (WHO, 2002:149). Suicide, HIV infection and,
murder (during the attack or later as a murder of honor) are some of the results from
the sexual violence (WHO,2002:149). Also, the sexual assault can change the social
image of the victim because of the stigmatization and be on the sidelines
(WHO,2002:149).

Organic And Non Organic Foods
When you or your parents visit the grocery store, which food products do you
consider purchasing? It is difficult not to notice the current trend of organic foods
on the shelves at the supermarket. 1 The word organic refers to the way farmers
grow and process agricultural products (Mayo Clinic Staff, par. 3). Whether or not
to purchase organic foods has been a subject of debate in recent years. Since in
today s society people are always in search for the healthiest foods available to
nurture their bodies. Although few people can tell the difference between organic and
non organic foods, there are various benefits and differences in terms of the
nutritional value, physical appearance, cost, and farming practices.
When deciding whether or not to buy organic items, one factor to consider is their
nutritional value. The general belief is that organic foods are healthier for you than
non organic foods. 2 According to the Professor Carlo Leifert at Newcastle
University, Organic food has more of the antioxidant compounds linked to better
health than regular food, and lower levels of toxic metals and pesticides (Carrington
and Arnett, par. 3). 3 Organic produce typically carries fewer pesticideresidues than
non organic produce (Mayo Clinic Staff, par. 15). Non organic crops also have higher
levels of cadmium and a toxic metals (Carrington and Arnett, par. 4). The animals
used in the production of organic foods continuously graze on grass, which increases

Causes Of Age-Related Macular Degeneration
Patients with age related macular degeneration may not notice any symptoms at
first. The first noticeable sign is a gradual, or sudden, change in the quality of
vision depending on which type of AMD is occurring. Straight lines will start to
appear distorted (Kozarsky, 2017). Early dry AMD is diagnosed by the presence of
drusen. This gradually can cause a dramatic loss of the center of vision. In the
intermediate stage of AMD, the beginnings of vision loss are apparent, but there still
may not be any other noticeable symptoms. At this time, optometrists will test for
larger drusen and pigment changes in the retina ( Research into the Genetics of
Macular Degeneration, 2017). Other symptoms of age related macular degeneration

A Study On Becoming A Librarian
Introduction
There is more than one type of librarian and they play many roles this day and age.
They were once thought of as being the keeper of knowledge and were the go to
persons for any and everything. Some specialize in areas of interest such as
cataloging, allocation, archives, and even special collections. While others,
depending on what type of library they work in conduct all of the above job
functions and more. With the advancement of technology and its forever growing

in their daily duties? Is learning the basics of technology enough or should
librarians have extensive training and knowledge in the advancement of technology
as well as becoming involved with its ever increasing span? These are just a few of
the examples of what is being sought after from librarians when being considered for
positions. A librarian should have a holistic approach to working within the field and
become forever students of learning the newest technology. This, in fact, will allow
them to become more marketable when seeking employment in various venues of the
library world.
Training and Education
Whether it is a public librarian, academic librarian, a law librarian, a librarian
working in the business field, or a medical librarian, it is the norm for librarians to
understand the dynamics of technology. Not only are librarians required to have
knowledge of the newest technology, they are also being required to be able to use
it. Sometimes there is a gap in what is being taught to future librarians in their school
programs and what is being required of them within the job sector. In order to sustain
as a competitor within the workforce, librarians need to be prepared to reach beyond
the classroom guidance along with teaching and seek outside resources for further

findings that was extremely alarming was the amount of extremely large failure rates,
in emerging businesses, due to a lack of knowledge on the owner s part, not a strong

two new emerging business owners that are trying to find a niche in their craft.
Dina, a part time music and preschool teacher started Sugar Arts Bakehouse,
located in Shaker Heights, Ohio. This business started in December of 2013, out
of her dining room as a way to have another source of income for her large family of
six. While Reid, a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, started Hiro Sol Apparel,
a clothing company that originated out of his college dorm room in November of
2015. Each these owners had a similar goal of wanting to bring something new and
innovative to their surrounding communities. Dina, provides custom and affordable
sugar cookies and cakes for birthday parties and different showers.Reid, on the other
hand, wanted to produce cool and innovative clothing that would be tailored to young
adults and teens. While both owners initially started off with small goals, through the
help of social media platforms and word of month, their businesses have both grown
rapidly over the past couple months. Due to immense growth, this has left the owners
with the task of outsourcing hired help to fill orders and demand. Even though both
owners are pleased with the demand for their products, recent growth has left the
owners with the challenge of juggling their personal lives and business
Sunrise Film Techniques
Sunrise is a film directed by director F.W.Murnau that some might argue is more of
a classic love story but I am going to show you why this is more of a horror film
instead. Sunrise had a hint of love in it indeed but it contains plot of murder as
well as attempt of murder twice. It also contains a very controlling character that
show hints of being evil or monster like in her personality as well as her
appearance. The director used the camera angle, camera movement, as well as
lighting to show why this is more of a dark and chilling story and I will explain why.
The first obvious clue to the viewers that this might be more of a horror film than a
love film is the very controlling a devil like character that we get introduced to very

We get a little bit of everything in this film such as creepy locations and camera
angle that shows darkness to a shot or characters true feeling or intention.
F.W.Murnau used a variety of ways to show the horror prospective in this film. in
the beginning we see the husband meeting his lover in a dark and creepy moon lit
swamp. In an edit sequence we get a trailing shot of the husband walking through
the very dark and gloomy swap with a slouch posture and hands in his pockets, we
also hear a very slow and creepy soundtrack playing in the background giving the
audiences a chilling feels to it. Then we see that he walks out of the frame and the
camera keeps going and stops on a shot of the city woman standing near some
bushes with a very bright and high moon in the background. This is where we can
draw a clear conclusion that the location is imposed on us to give a feeling of
sadness or evil sin that they are about to commit in this isolated part of the farm.
He uses high angles several time through the film as well to show the shadows of
darkness on characters face and give them a monster like appearance. We see a
perfect example of this in the shot of a close up of the husband face at a high angle
and low light in the boat when he is about to stand up to kill his wife. We see the
dark shadow in his face and his slouched Frankenstein posture as he moves his eye
on his wife about to kill her. He used these cinematic techniques to show character
emotions and implement the horror prospective in the film and these are clear
reasons why some might say this is more horror than a classic love story of two
The Myth Of French Beauty
French beauty is a concept, an ideal that emerged in the 1960 s with the help of
movies that build a real myth concerning the appearance of french women. One
icon from that time was Brigitte Bardot, along with Catherine Deneuve and other
french actresses. They all looked similar, and did not represent th e majority of
french women. It can be argued that their legacy did not continue. Between you

debated whether or not if other religions would have had a unlike perspective upon
the actions of the Vicario brothers or the actions in which Angela Vicario made upon
losing her purity. In addition, we questioned the culture; what if the novel would have
taken place in a different country with the complete opposite culture? What would be
different? We approached these questions by not only depicting the country in which
The Decentralization Of Chicago
The definition of the Middle East as a category, is very much dependent of the
existence of a West (Alsayyad, 2011). What defines the term western and what makes
a populace considered western? The term western derives from the idea of European
modernization, from cities such as London or Paris. Under this modernization the
cities adapted to new technologies, such as transportation and road systems. Western
culture was introduced; culture referring to that complex while which includes
knowledge, belief, art, law, morals, customs, and other capabilities and habits

Bad Jews Play Analysis
Bad Jews, written by Joshua Harmon, directed by Dana Friedman Resnick, and
produced by PURE Theatre Company, is the story of a broken, modern day Jewish
family in Manhattan, New York Upper West Side. In the wake of their grandfather s
death, three surviving grandchildren must work out their differences over the
possession a family heirloom. I believe the play explores the concept of religion and
how each cousin deals with the ideas and beliefs instilled in them through their
Jewish background. To me, it seems the playwright was attempting to explain the
importance of accepting other peoples beliefs and cultures, most importantly those of
family. However, Harmon put a negative spin on the lesson by giving his characters
pessimistic attitudes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By making the sleeping area the main focal point of the set Heffner implied that it
would be the most important part of the play. The large stereo, tv, and gaming
system in the bedroom also show off the families money. Heffner was able to
capture the families money just as Spencer was able to do with the costumes. The
lighting, also done by Heffner, captures the time of day perfectly. The room is lit by
lamps and ceiling lights implying night while the window above the table changes
between several shades of blue to imply the setting of the sun. Heffner does and
amazing job of capturing the viewers attention by dimming the lights in the apartment
and drawing the gaze of the audience out into the hall when the characters are outside

Essay about Cleaner Alternative Transportation
When people think pollution, most think straight to automobiles producing harmful
emissions which contribute to global warming or climate change. Well, this is true.
Motor vehicles account for about half of the toxic air pollutant emissions in the
United States. A large part of these toxic air pollutants is the need to rely on oil as a
fuel source. The fact that oil is still the main source of energy for things like
automobiles, when there are other alternatives like electric vehicles, creates many
problems within our society. The United States dependency on oil causes incidents
like the Deepwater Horizon. The estimated amount of oil released stood at 4.9
million barrels and polluted the area significantly. We as a country need to cut... Show

Automobiles have since evolved and become almost a necessity for people. While
they have become of major importance, they also hold many drawbacks to our
environment. They are the leading cause of transportation emissions and they
generate a majority of America s global warming emissions. Even though air
pollution emissions from motor vehicles have dropped considerably since 1950,
Automobiles still produce about 60% of US transportation emissions and generate
nearly 30% of America s global warming emissions (Car Emissions and Global
Warming). The average conventional automobile can be seen as fairly gas inefficient.
Compared to a hybrid electric vehicle, conventional cars produce about 1.5 times
more greenhouse gas emissions and costs more in fuel costs. Within a 100 mile trip,
conventional vehicles produce about 87 lb CO2, hybrid electric vehicles produce 57
lb CO2, plug in hybrid electric vehicles produce 62 lb CO2, and all electric vehicles
produce 54 lb CO2 (see table 1). This shows that hybrid and electric cars produce less
greenhouse gas emissions and costs less for fuel, compared to a conventional pure
gas powered vehicle.

Essay on Duddy s Focus on Wealth
In my opinion, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, a book written by Mordecai
Richler, is ultimately about money. Simcha Kravitz, Duddy s grandfather, would
tell Duddy as a child that a man without land is nobody. These words encouraged
him to live his life in a manner in which he would do anything he could in order to
obtain the land that a nobody would not possess. But Duddy does not solely focus
his desires on land; instead, his goals are set on wealth in general.
In order to acquire wealth, Duddy engages in acts of dishonesty and deceit. He does
this by exploiting the weaknesses of his friends, such as Virgil Roseboro and Yvette
Durelle, while completely disregarding the fact that by doing this, his dignity and ...

Duddy ends up forging Virgil s signature on a check in order to access Virgil s bank
account and steal his money. Although this money help s Duddy purchase the
remainder of his land, in the process he becomes a despised and wretched tyrant.
Not only does this result in the annihilation of Duddy s friendship with Virgil, but
also results in the loss of Yvette s respect for Duddy. It becomes quite obvious that
Duddy did not value his friendships as much as he did his wealth, as if he did, he
would ve earned money the proper way, as a waiter, and wouldn t have resorted to
such ruthless acts in order to attain complacency. It s quite disappointing to learn
how he would sacrifice the only loving relationship he ever had (with Yvette) just so
he can obtain land. Normally, a person who lived a life devoid of love would be
desperate to acquire it. However, Duddy still decided to pursue his dreams of owning
land on the contrary to pursuing a loving relationship that his life was in need of.
Come to think of it, Duddy s life has been morally derailed ever since he was a
child. As a child, he took advantage of the fact that as a minor, he was not susceptible
to lawsuits. He broke the law frequently in attempt to obtain more wealth. Such
examples of this would include his fraudulent behaviour with stamp companies, his
selling of stolen hockey sticks, and his distribution of pornographic comic books. In
an entrepreneurial sense, Duddy had the correct goals;
Blown In Insulation Research Paper
Blown In Insulation May Be The Solution For Staying Warmer In The Winter
If it seems like your power bill is higher in the winter than it used to be, it might be
because you need to add insulation to your attic. Insulation can compress over time,
or it can get wet from attic leaks and cease to work like it should. Adding insulation
could improve the energy efficiency in your home and that in turn will reduce your
power bill. While you can choose from a few different types of insulation to add,
blown in insulation is often the best option. Here are a few things to know.
Apply It Over Existing Insulation
As long as your current insulation is not wet or moldy, you can have new insulation
blown in over top of it. This will save you from the labor of pulling up old insulation
that could release fiberglass, mouse droppings, or other dangers into the air that might
circulate through your home. However, if you need to pull out the existing insulation,
you will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fiberglass is one option. It can be blown into your attic, but there is the risk that tiny
bits of fiberglass will become airborne and float through your home. For that reason,
the contractor might install a netting system over the fiberglass to hold it in place.
The advantage of using blown in fiberglass over batts is that the blow in variety is
able to settle itself evenly over the floor of your attic, and isn t confined to the shape
of the batts that might leave small gaps uninsulated.
Cellulose is the more common type of blown in insulation. It is made from recycled
paper and cardboard that is treated to be fire retardant. It is heavier than fiberglass,
so it stays put once it is blown in. Although it is heavy, it is manufactured to be fluffy.
This allows for air circulation that prevents mold. Plus, the trapping of air pockets
improves insulating
Best Cost Focused Strategy By Thompson Et. Thompson Jr.
The competitors can try to make a distinctive product or release the improved
version of the firm s product. Extensive differentiation can have a reverse effect of
losing the current customers. Differentiation is expected to be a continuous process.
The current differentiation can become obsolete in the short run and the customer
becomes more knowledgeable about the product and their needs and perception
changes. 5.3.3 Focused Strategy The third strategy in Porter s model is Focused
strategy which is applicable for the firms that are operating in a narrow competitive
scope or Niche Market. The strategy is applied based on the market segmentation. It
can be segmented based on location, specific income group (usually high income
group) or difference in the usage of the product. The driving force of the focus
strategy is specialization in dealing with a particular markets needs and preferences

The major objective of Best cost provider strategy is to give the customers value for
their money. This is an attempt to give the customers the products that exceeds their
expectations at a price equal or lesser than the competitors. When a company can
build on its core competencies and give enhanced product at a lesser price, it enjoys
maximum profitability. It is hybrid model between low cost provider and
differentiation strategy. This strategy adopts the best of both the strategies .i.e.
economies in cost and at the same time differentiation in the features. This strategy
works best in the market where the characteristics of price sensitivity and diversity in
buyer s preference exists. The biggest limitation of best cost provider strategy is
failing in executing the strategy and falling prey for the limitations of both cost
leadership and differentiation
Past Tense In The Great Gatsby
The past tense can affect someone very much, and it makes it hard for a person to
move on for their present and future. It can be really significant for them, they keep
on bringing the past back in their lives, and do everything to bring it back. In this
case, is presented by Fitzgerald, Jay Gatsby. Scott Fitzgerald constantly makes Gatsby
to bring his pastwith Daisy Buchanan, and for her is the reason why Jay Gatsby
became a wealthy person. Jay Gatsby, came from a North Dakota. His family were
farmers. He joined the army. While he was in the army, he met Daisy and thought
that Daisy was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. For him she
was really valuable and special because he wasn t the only one who loved her, many

The defence speech for Macbeth as a murderer
Ladies and gentleman of the jury. Sitting before you today is a man accused of the
murder of Duncan, the King of Scotland. The prosecution will portray Macbeth as an
ambitious man, one who plotted to murder his own cousin, so that he could lay claim
to the title of the crown. But the issue in this case is not whether Macbethmurdered
the deceased. This fact is not disputed. What you must determine is whether
Macbeth was of sound mind when he committed this act. Evidence showed that this
was not so. In fact, Macbeth was the victim in this crime. It was he, who was
possessed and brainwashed by the evil witches. Then it was Lady Macbeth who took
advantage of his state of mind. She pushed him over the edge to fulfil her ambitions

City Of St. Petersburg Case Study
The dream, the vision and the action to finalize a deal which would bring a Major
League Baseball (MLB) team to the City of St. Petersburg was realized in 1998
when the Tamp Bay Devil Rays took the field for the first time at Tropicana Field.
The City of St. Petersburg became victorious in succeeding where Tampa had
prevailed so many times before. The triumph came when a group of ambitious
businessmen collaborated to build what became the FloridaSuncoast Dome in 1988
in downtown St. Petersburg. There had been a competition between Tampa and St.
Petersburg to see who would build a new baseball stadium first. Tampa already had
Raymond James Stadium, had built MacDill Air Force Base and the Florida
Aquarium, St.Petersburg had nothing. St. Petersburg desperate to attract big
business and attractions to the west side of Tampa Bay went and built the new
stadium before securing a major league baseball team. The city was buried deep in
the controversial move, for a mid market city to invest in a stadium without first
securing a franchise could cost the city and the tax payers significantly. The gamble
paid off and through years of trying to lure a franchise from other cities and being
denied at every opportunity, the City of St. Petersburg was granted an expansion
team by MLB.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Team owner, Vincent J. Naimoli finally had succeeded in bringing major league
baseball to St.Petersburg. The only problem was, the team in the early years failed
to ever make a successful run for the World Series. The Devil Rays were the worst
team in baseball and for years had the worst record for attendance. Naimoli, after
sucking the team dry financially sold the team to Stuart Sternberg who turned the
team and the franchise into a successful business model for Major League Baseball,
including a 2008 World Series
The Language Of Silence By Maxine Hong Kingston
Language is much more than a method of communication. Permeated within it are
traditions, customs, and legacies of one s culture. The identity of an entire population
is in the distinct vocalizations of their native language. Unfortunately, as a wave of
immigrants enters the United States at young ages, many face language barriers that
pose significant challenges. Language barriers affect a multitude of immigrant
populations to different degrees. This, in turn, causes many of them to abandon not
only their native tongue but a piece of their ethnic identity, as well. In Maxine Hong
Kingston s personal narrative, The Language of Silence, she describes the difficulties
she experienced throughout her childhood with a language barrier as a... Show more

Spanish is my native language, however, my mother advised my siblings and I to
speak only English. This was because she was afraid that we would be rejected from
professional careers if our English wasn t unaccented, fluent, and similar in
refinement to the working class whites. With time, I became a fluent English speaker
with a developed Central American accent but like, any other young girl, I thought
nothing of it. That is until one event, in particular, occurred that would cast a shadow
of embarrassment onto my Spanish language. This event not only led me to desert my
entire native language but a sense of my cultural identity, as well.
Every afternoon, my mother would take my siblings and I down to the community
park. It was a tradition of sorts. The leaves on the trees were brown, only days past
Halloween. I sat under the dappled afternoon sun and played in the sand. On this
particular day, however, a young girl approached me. Confused, I offered her a
friendly smile but was, instead, greeted by the sand she kicked in my direction.
Once my mother took notice of this, she came forward and placed a hand over the
young girl s leg without physically touching her. Stop, she said. With this one word,
the girl ran off. After a minute or so, an older woman approached my mother and I,
with a string of curse words. It was the parent of the girl from earlier. Her husband

Film Analysis Of Fight Club
Fight Club is the opposite of Watchmen, the style of David Fincher and his faded
green aesthetic fit perfectly in the world of Fight Club and help to give the Film a
sense of identity that wouldn t exist if the film was created by a lesser director.
The way this Film is shot, the editing, the score, it all combines to help tell the
story in a new way that feels entirely separate from the book. Additionally, Fincher
works to bring the concepts of the book to life through adaptation not translation, he
knows that many of the themes and ideas of the book will not work if simply ripped
out of the page and thrown on screen. He decided early on that the Novel would have
to change to fit the screen, he knows that communicating messages across... Show

the Film relate to how the Film is actually a metaphor for Jack s sexual identity and
the battle between Masculinity (Represented by Tyler) and Femininity (Represented
by Marla) happening in Jack s head. Now hearing these ideas from me with no proof
may make them seem far fetched, but I really recommend you go to the site and read
up on it. I won t cover it here because I can t say anymore without simply stealing the
author s intellectual property, but I think you get the point; Fight Club is a testament
not only to adaptations but also to masterful filmmaking.
The edit at the beginning of this section showing Jared Leto falling to the ground
was no accident. Watch it again, you can tell that Sound is taken full advantage of.
Whereas a book would never have that sound, in the fight club you aren t reading

Determining the Carrying Capacity of Species
All animals interact with their environment and their ability to grow is limited by the
resources available to them. The maximum number of individuals of a species that a
certain environment can support is called that species carrying capacity. Biologists
can determine the population of a species based on the carrying capacityby using
models. That can indicate whether certain species are endangered or abundant in the
wild. There are numbers of factors that can determine a species carrying capacity and
models can be used to show the populationgrowth of that species. Competition is a
limiting factor that can determine a species carrying capacity. When population
increase, individuals start competing for food, shelter, and the most suitable mates.
While the stronger individuals tend to survive, the weaker individuals begin to die off
because of insufficient resources for everyone in the community. Competition can
lower birthrates and increase death rates. When two different species live in the same
area, they compete for resources in that environment and typically one species is
eliminated by the other. The population will reach its carrying capacity when
competition reduces the size of the population to what the environment can support.
Predationand herbivory are another limiting factor that can determine a species
carrying capacity. Predation is when a population feeds on another population for
sustenance. In predator prey relationships, the predator can decrease

Ain T I A Woman Analysis
Both poems, Ain t I a Woman and at the cemetery, walnut grove plantation, south
carolina, 1989, were written by African American women that have left a large
impression on how we read and interpret African American literature today. Ain t I a
Woman was spoken by Sojourner Truth, and was advocating for women s rights. The
poem, at the cemetery, walnut grove plantation, south carolina, 1989, was written by
Lucille Clifton, and was intended to bring honor to the dead slaves. Both pieces of
work have their own unique style of writingand purpose. Both the poem, by Lucille

injustice and as a means of diminishing social injustice. Both Ain t I a Woman, by

In at the cemetery, walnut grove plantation, south carolina, 1989, by Lucille Clifton,
the purpose is to expose the injustice that has happened to the dead slaves. The slaves
were buried without any gravestone and the women were not even counted when the
owner of the plantation wrote down his inventory. This injustice is what pushed
Lucille Clifton to write this poem. In the poem, Clifton attempts to draw attention to
the fact that the honor was taken from the slaves, after their deaths, and Clifton tries
to restore the honor that was stolen from the slaves. However, in Ain t I a Woman the
purpose was to expose the inequalities of an African Americanwoman during Truth s
life. In Truth s speech she mentions how other women should be lifted over ditches,
helped into carriages, and have the best place but she gets none of this. Truth is
comparing how other women are treated to how she is treated. This best shows Truth
s purpose of exposing the inequality between African American women and other
groups of people. In both, the poem by Lucille Clifton and the speech by Sojourner
Truth the purpose is to expose a certain
The Industrial Revolution Of The United States
When people think industrial revolution they thing factories and smoke but the
revolution was so much more than that. The industrial revolution transformed and
created major changes in not only manufacturing but transportation and
communications as well. The century long even took goods normally made by hand
and turned them into some of the first massed produced products. It transformed the
daily lives of Americans as much as and arguably more than any single event in U.S.
history. The industrial revolutiondid not take place over night, on the contrary it was
almost a century long affair. It s important to remember that when the United States
was just beginning the start if their revolution Britain had been already thriving. One
of the earliest markings of the start in the U.S was in late eighteenth century when
Samuel Slater brought new manufacturing technologies from Britain to help start the
first U.S cotton mill. Within the next few decades mills and factories were pooping
up allover the northeast. On top of that development of transportation boomed with
railroads and new canals being built to help with commerce and trade. Before the
civil war in the nineteenth century we first see the steamboat, the telegraph, and the
sewing machine. After the war the United States industrial revolution boomed at
what could be called a breakneck pace. The first transcendental railroad was created
making it even easier to transport products, material, and people. There was also
The Renin-Angiotensin System
Arteries transport oxygenated blood away from the heart at a high pressure known
as systolic blood pressure. Arteries will constrict and dilate affecting the systolic
blood pressure. Constriction of the arteries will increase the pressure, also known as
hypertension. Dilation of the arteries will, inversely, decrease the bloodpressure, also
known as hypotension. (Elsevier, 2014)
When a patient s heart is not preforming properly or a disease if affecting the blood
volume, the heart will increase or decrease it s contractility overall changing the
systolic blood pressure. With congestive heart failure, the act of sodium, chloride, and
water retention is detected. This is in result of the Renin Angiotensin System. When

  • 3. Sylvia Plath Sylvia Plath is said to be one the most prodigious, yet interesting, confessional poets of her time. She was an extremely vital poet of the post World War II time period and expressed her feelings towards her father and husband through her poetry. Plath s mental illness had a dramatic influence upon her work in which she demonstrated the hatred she had for her father specifically. The poem Daddyis an easily applicable example. Within this piece of work, Plath uses direct references to how she feels towards her father who was the greatest influence on her poetry. The bond, or lack of, between Sylvia Plath and her Daddy is commonly associated with the purpose of her poetry. Her father died when Plath was only ten years old and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Eileen M. Aird analyzes and comments, The danger of such criticism lies in its assumption that the poem is objectively true , that it bears a precise relationship to the facts of the poet s life. The direct criticism Plath puts upon her father is very crucial, yet evidently true if one was research her life. Sylvia Plath s autobiographical poetry can be easily connected to her life and the answers to the many questions are easier to uncover than one may suspect. As her poetry developed, it became more autobiographical and although through her teenage years she possessed what seemed to be a rounded personality, the anguish and grief of her father s death was easily linked with her mental instability that haunted her in the later years. Her time period is easily reflected in the poem with the severity in her reference to Nazis, swastikas, barbed wire, fascists, brutes, devils, and vampires. In Daddy , Plath refers to herself as a Jew multiple times, An engine, an engine Chuffing me off like a Jew. A Jew to Dachau, Auschwitz, Belsen. I began to talk like a Jew. I think I may well be a Jew. The extremity Plath went to to emphasize these references during her time period were enough to make any soul cringe. World War II s concentration camps are still enough over half a century later to make one shudder in despair. The rage Plath has for her father is so easily conveyed to the reader that an illiterate individual could pick up on it, let
  • 4. When You Sent Me The Most Recent Performance Feedback, When you sent me the most recent performance feedback, in the email you stated you knew it had been a tough few weeks, and that we already discussed most of the items you put on the feedback and that you had set a meeting for us to discuss the feedback on Monday (5/22) and a plan of action going forward. Then on Monday you stated you wanted to have this formal meetingwe are having today. Everything caught me by surprise, the unacceptable rating of my monthly performance feedback and the fact you thought we had to have this meeting today rather than the one you had planned on Monday. Knowing that you know these have been a tough few weeks and you are aware of my workload since we meet on a weekly basis and you have given me my priorities... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Those meetings give me the opportunity to share my workload with you and to request guidance on how to move forward when I feel stuck. And you have provided guidance that has helped me focus on the tasks that are more important. During those meetings, I ve told you when I feel I haven t met my personal client standards in closing a case and have told you where I am at the moment on each case and given you the reasons I hadn t been able to move forward when stuck. On the other hand, during this past rating period, the tasks assigned to me seemed to be impossible to manage as my focus was moved from wrapping up the Cold Bay case to whatever Dan Byrd wanted at the time to the ASCHR investigation. And I admit that I did not completely ignore the rest of my duties, like responding to emails, phone calls, questions from the support staff, evaluation processing, etc. to focus 100% on the highest priorities. But I also found myself trying to focus on the Cold Bay case, for example, and you asking me to shift my focus to respond to Dan Byrd immediately, you had also scheduled pre d meetings I had to have with Dan Byrd, without talking to me prior the arrangement. And as I understood that was another way for you to tell me it was top priority to you, I didn t decline doing the meeting, even when I knew it was going to affect the other high priority items I had going on. I ve been trying to work on your high priorities
  • 5. Essay on Diageo Capital Structure Case 1) Overview / Introduction Diageo was created when Grand Metropolitan, plc and Guiness, plc merged in 1997. While the Diageo name is not well known to consumers, its brands are among the most famous including Guinness, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker and Cuervo. The company recently decided to focus on a strategy to grow through its spirits, wine and beer businesses and divest of its Pillsbury and Burger King subsidiaries. This case study will focus on the proposed capital structure decisions of Diageo. 2) Is Diageo s current capital structure appropriate to its new business? It believes that it has traditionally had a conservative debt policy. If so, is that policy still appropriate? Has Diageo s capital structure been as conservative ... Having a conservative debt policy increased the credit worthiness of the firm. Because the firm believes that the interest coverage ratio is a critical factor for credit rating agencies, they attempted to keep this ratio very high. Also, by having a higher credit rating they are able to access short term commercial paper borrowings at better rates. This type of short term borrowing makes up 47% of Diageo s portfolio. By not having a strong credit rating they would not be able to lock in the low rates which would impact their business significantly. 4) What recommendation is the firm s trade off model for Diageo s future capital structure? In order to maintain its credit rating, Diageo s Treasury team recommends an interest coverage of 5x to 8x, but the simulation based model calculated an optimal interest coverage. Figure 2 shows minimal cost corresponding with an interest coverage of approximately 4.2. Shown in the gray bars, the cost of taxes paid decreases as EBIT/Interest

Marilynne Robinson’s Housekeeping Marilynne Robinson s Housekeeping Beyond Reason Marilynne Robinson gives voice to a realm of consciousness beyond the bounds of reason in her novel Housekeeping. Possibly concealed by the melancholy but gently methodical tone, boundaries and limits of perception are constantly redefined, rediscovered, and reevaluated. Ruth, as the narrator, leads the reader through the sorrowful events and the mundane details of her childhood and adolescence. She attempts to reconcile her experiences, fragmented and unified, past, present, and future, in order to better understand or substantiate the transient life she leads with her aunt Sylvie. Rather than the wooden structure built by Edmund Foster, the house Ruth eventually comes to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ruth is able to perceive each moment as a reference point for past events as well as events to come. Paradoxes within this invisible rational framework begin to emerge, however. Because human senses are inherently limited and fallible and memories are by their nature fragmented, isolated, and arbitrary, they are highly suspect in providing reliable evidence of rational structure to the progression of thoughts and experiences of any individual or group (53). Order can and will be made from the fragments available in a given situation; it is an extension of the most intense form of human will. The world will be made whole For to wish a hand on one s hair is all but to feel it. So whatever we may lose, the very craving gives it back again (153) Memory thus houses a great paradox: the ability to create a sense of completeness and the ability to provoke the most profound sense of loss. It is the paradox woven into the nature of memory which moves time forward. The force behind the movement of time is a mourning that will not be comforted (192). Based in part on her memories, Ruth begins to consider the idea that in committing suicide, her mother wanted to evoke a less absolute, constantly negotiated existence, whole and fragment , within her daughters minds (163). Rather than attempt to pull herself into some unseemly shape and slip across into that other world as her

Introduction Since its founding, the United States has attracted immigrants from all over the world and consists of a variety of different cultures. Immigration has had an enormous impact on American society and economy and shaped the country remarkably. American was dominated by the image of the melting pot that melts up all race differences and cultures to become on American culture. The ideas of multiculturalism started at the end of the nineteenth century and turned into the concept of cultural pluralism that defined the nation as a mixture of diverse ethnicities with different cultural backgrounds, all co existing and contributing to the new nation. In the back, Chinese men are working with their tools in the mines. The camp is surrounded by forests. This lithograph depicts a common camp scene at the mines in California. The Gold Rush drew thousands of Chinese workers to America. Besides fleeing from poverty and bad political situations in their home country, the one common goal was to reach economic wealth. But as much as they were searching for a better life, most of the Chinese immigrants did not intend to stay in the country permanently (Daniels 11). When the first Chinese arrived on steamships, they were greeted with hostility because they quickly became a significant part of labour. They were known to be hard and reliable workers. BorthwickВґs intend was to picture every ethnic group that immigrated to America during the Gold Rush era. His drawing shows no derision or fear rather than curiosity. Big newspapers and magazines published the first pictures of the Chinese to inform the people how the newly arrived Chinese look like and how they integrate. The immigrants were a newsworthy subject, especially on the East coast. The picture shows their daily activities and how they lived. The men that are working in the back support the image of the Chinese as reliable and productive labours. The artist pictures
  • 9. A Study On Traumatic Brain Injury parindent{ }Traumatic brain injury is a significant health problem in the United States that is estimated to occur in 1.6 1.8 million persons annually (citealt{faul2010}). Diffuse axonal injury is %the most frequently occurring a common type of traumatic brain injury primarily characterized by damage to the axons (citealt{smith2000, Gennarelli1982}). An improved understanding of the pathophysiology of diffuse axonal injury is needed to develop improved diagnostic tools, protective measures and rehabilitation treatments(citealt{Giordano2014}). Many techniques have been developed to help elucidate the injury mechanism associated with diffuse axonal injury over years. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is one such technique where the mesoscale structural information is studied to investigate the diffuse axonal injury. Finite element models have also provided a means to investigate diffuse axonal injury. The mental trauma caused by the sexual assault can be as serious as the physical trauma (WHO, 2002:149). Suicide, HIV infection and, murder (during the attack or later as a murder of honor) are some of the results from the sexual violence (WHO,2002:149). Also, the sexual assault can change the social image of the victim because of the stigmatization and be on the sidelines (WHO,2002:149). It is difficult not to notice the current trend of organic foods on the shelves at the supermarket. 1 The word organic refers to the way farmers grow and process agricultural products (Mayo Clinic Staff, par. 3). Whether or not to purchase organic foods has been a subject of debate in recent years. Since in today s society people are always in search for the healthiest foods available to nurture their bodies. Although few people can tell the difference between organic and non organic foods, there are various benefits and differences in terms of the nutritional value, physical appearance, cost, and farming practices. When deciding whether or not to buy organic items, one factor to consider is their nutritional value. Sunrise Film Techniques Sunrise is a film directed by director F.W.Murnau that some might argue is more of a classic love story but I am going to show you why this is more of a horror film instead. Sunrise had a hint of love in it indeed but it contains plot of murder as well as attempt of murder twice. It also contains a very controlling character that show hints of being evil or monster like in her personality as well as her appearance. The director used the camera angle, camera movement, as well as lighting to show why this is more of a dark and chilling story and I will explain why. The first obvious clue to the viewers that this might be more of a horror film than a love film is the very controlling a devil like character that we get introduced to very early ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We get a little bit of everything in this film such as creepy locations and camera angle that shows darkness to a shot or characters true feeling or intention. F.W.Murnau used a variety of ways to show the horror prospective in this film. in the beginning we see the husband meeting his lover in a dark and creepy moon lit swamp. In an edit sequence we get a trailing shot of the husband walking through the very dark and gloomy swap with a slouch posture and hands in his pockets, we also hear a very slow and creepy soundtrack playing in the background giving the audiences a chilling feels to it. Then we see that he walks out of the frame and the camera keeps going and stops on a shot of the city woman standing near some bushes with a very bright and high moon in the background. This is where we can draw a clear conclusion that the location is imposed on us to give a feeling of sadness or evil sin that they are about to commit in this isolated part of the farm. He uses high angles several time through the film as well to show the shadows of darkness on characters face and give them a monster like appearance. We see a perfect example of this in the shot of a close up of the husband face at a high angle and low light in the boat when he is about to stand up to kill his wife. We see the dark shadow in his face and his slouched Frankenstein posture as he moves his eye on his wife about to kill her. He used these cinematic techniques to show character emotions and implement the horror prospective in the film and these are clear reasons why some might say this is more horror than a classic love story of two

It becomes quite obvious that Duddy did not value his friendships as much as he did his wealth, as if he did, he would ve earned money the proper way, as a waiter, and wouldn t have resorted to such ruthless acts in order to attain complacency. It s quite disappointing to learn how he would sacrifice the only loving relationship he ever had (with Yvette) just so he can obtain land. Normally, a person who lived a life devoid of love would be desperate to acquire it. However, Duddy still decided to pursue his dreams of owning land on the contrary to pursuing a loving relationship that his life was in need of. Come to think of it, Duddy s life has been morally derailed ever since he was a child. As a child, he took advantage of the fact that as a minor, he was not susceptible to lawsuits. He broke the law frequently in attempt to obtain more wealth. Such examples of this would include his fraudulent behaviour with stamp companies, his selling of stolen hockey sticks, and his distribution of pornographic comic books. It can be blown into your attic, but there is the risk that tiny bits of fiberglass will become airborne and float through your home. The advantage of using blown in fiberglass over batts is that the blow in variety is able to settle itself evenly over the floor of your attic, and isn t confined to the shape of the batts that might leave small gaps uninsulated. Cellulose is the more common type of blown in insulation. It is made from recycled paper and cardboard that is treated to be fire retardant. The maximum number of individuals of a species that a certain environment can support is called that species carrying capacity. Biologists can determine the population of a species based on the carrying capacityby using models. That can indicate whether certain species are endangered or abundant in the wild. There are numbers of factors that can determine a species carrying capacity and models can be used to show the populationgrowth of that species. Competition is a limiting factor that can determine a species carrying capacity. When population increase, individuals start competing for food, shelter, and the most suitable mates. While the stronger individuals tend to survive, the weaker individuals begin to die off because of insufficient resources for everyone in the community. Competition can lower birthrates and increase death rates. When two different species live in the same area, they compete for resources in that environment and typically one species is eliminated by the other. The population will reach its carrying capacity when competition reduces the size of the population to what the environment can support. Predationand herbivory are another limiting factor that can determine a species carrying capacity. Predation is when a population feeds on another population for sustenance. In predator prey relationships, the predator can decrease

Ain T I A Woman Analysis Both poems, Ain t I a Woman and at the cemetery, walnut grove plantation, south carolina, 1989, were written by African American women that have left a large impression on how we read and interpret African American literature today. Ain t I a Woman was spoken by Sojourner Truth, and was advocating for women s rights. The poem, at the cemetery, walnut grove plantation, south carolina, 1989, was written by Lucille Clifton, and was intended to bring honor to the dead slaves. In at the cemetery, walnut grove plantation, south carolina, 1989, by Lucille Clifton, the purpose is to expose the injustice that has happened to the dead slaves. The slaves were buried without any gravestone and the women were not even counted when the owner of the plantation wrote down his inventory. This injustice is what pushed Lucille Clifton to write this poem. In the poem, Clifton attempts to draw attention to the fact that the honor was taken from the slaves, after their deaths, and Clifton tries to restore the honor that was stolen from the slaves. Truth is comparing how other women are treated to how she is treated. This best shows Truth s purpose of exposing the inequality between African American women and other groups of people. In both, the poem by Lucille Clifton and the speech by Sojourner Truth the purpose is to expose a certain

The industrial revolution transformed and created major changes in not only manufacturing but transportation and communications as well. The century long even took goods normally made by hand and turned them into some of the first massed produced products. It transformed the daily lives of Americans as much as and arguably more than any single event in U.S. history. The industrial revolutiondid not take place over night, on the contrary it was almost a century long affair. It s important to remember that when the United States was just beginning the start if their revolution Britain had been already thriving. One of the earliest markings of the start in the U.S was in late eighteenth century when Samuel Slater brought new manufacturing technologies from Britain to help start the first U.S cotton mill. Within the next few decades mills and factories were pooping up allover the northeast. On top of that development of transportation boomed with railroads and new canals being built to help with commerce and trade. Before the civil war in the nineteenth century we first see the steamboat, the telegraph, and the sewing machine. After the war the United States industrial revolution boomed at what could be called a breakneck pace. The first transcendental railroad was created making it even easier to transport products, material, and people. There was also

Arteries will constrict and dilate affecting the systolic blood pressure. Constriction of the arteries will increase the pressure, also known as hypertension. Dilation of the arteries will, inversely, decrease the bloodpressure, also known as hypotension. (Elsevier, 2014) When a patient s heart is not preforming properly or a disease if affecting the blood volume, the heart will increase or decrease it s contractility overall changing the systolic blood pressure. With congestive heart failure, the act of sodium, chloride, and water retention is detected. This is in result of the Renin Angiotensin System. When there is a decrease in
