Observation of a Child The observation took place in Shenandoah Park at 1800 SW

Banks list their capital adequacy ratios in their financial reports. The CAR is
important to shareholders because it is an important measure of the financial
soundness of a bank.
Two types of capital are measured with the CAR. The first, tier 1 capital, can absorb a
reasonable amount of loss without forcing the bank to cease its trading. The second
type, tier 2 capital, can sustain loss in the event of liquidation. Tier 2 capital provides
less protection to its depositors.
Because of the nature of risk under which banks operate, capital regulations require
banks to maintain a minimum level of equity per loans and other assets. This required
minimum is designed for protection, allowing banks to sustain unanticipated losses.
The minimum is also designed to offer depositors confidence in the security of their
deposits given the asymmetric information.
An individual depositor cannot know if a bank has taken risks beyond what it can

While thinking for a question for Science Fair, Tamir and I wondered: What are
the limits of the Placebo Effect? While we know it can stop some pain, I would
like to see how we can push it. So we decided to try and test this ourselves. We will
be applying headaches to people through music, and other means. We will then use
a pill that will either be Tylenol or a sugar pill and see if they have a reaction to the
[sugar] pill after 45min 1hr. After that, we will ask them a few questions on how they
are feeling, how much painthey are in, and if the pill helped them at all. We record
this information and see how it affected a large group of people and the differences
between groups.
The placebo effect could have a large effect on how painkillers and medicine works
on humans. Generally, the best type of painkiller is one that is higher in dosage.
However, many tests have been showing that placebos are becoming to get to the
same level as over the counter and even some behind the counter medicine. In
2013, patients in clinical trials only reported that drugs help nine percent more
than placebos. Secondly, it s been used much more in everyday use. In 2010, there
was a study that reported forty percent of the time, physicians used an inactive pill,
and eleven percent had prescribed inactive pills or injections. Surprisingly, this

How School Dress Codes are Detrimental to Girls.
In many American middle and high schools, there are rules on how you must dress.
The most known of these are that boys must wear shirts and must not show their
underwear, and girls must have shorts or skirts be fingertip length, not show
shoulders or bra straps, and not show too much cleavage. The rules vary by school,
but most of these rules are geared towards young women. College and real life do
not have dress codes. Employers have dress codes so that their employees can convey
to customers what the business wants them too, but dress codes in public high
schools are sexist and teach young women that their education is less valuable than
that of a man s. Firstly, most school dress codes are aimed at girls. According to the
dress code of my alma mater, Lakota West High School, there are twelve items of
clothing that are not allowed that are directed towards girls, and only 3 that are
specific to boys. There are more that are unisex, but I have singled out the ones that
are gender specific. Why are girls the ones who are more restricted by the dress
code? Imagine you are a young man getting ready for school in the morning. If
your outfit doesn t have oversized armholes, dog collars/spikes, or drug or alcohol
related messages, congratulations! You re ready for school. Now, if you re a
young woman getting ready for school, your outfit must not show your bra straps,
have sleeves that cover your entire shoulder, and not have oversized armholes.
Your shorts or skirt cannot be past your fingertips, which for some girls with long

Aristotelian Vs. Aristotelian Ethics Essay
In this paper, I will refute the claims made by Aristotelian and other virtue ethics
systems in their suggestion that it is good for you to be virtuous and the
Aristotelian claim that being virtuous is how you can live good life. I will do this
by showing that in attempting to be virtuous you are subjecting yourself to
unreasonable and unachievable levels of personal expectation. I will then suggest
that this becomes even more counter intuitive when you become aware that you
cannot even guarantee you would achieve the good life should you manage to meet
the expectations you are placing on yourself. I will argue instead that you are better
off trying to focus on something else within reach and within which you have a
better chance of living your own good life and achieving your goals of being a good
person the helping of others.
In his Nicomachean ethics Aristotle suggests that virtue is a purposive disposition,
lying in a mean that is relative to us ... and by that which a prudent man would use
to determine it (Aristotle. et al., 2004: Book II). This in itself brings the concept of
Aristotelian virtue to its most concerning trait; if doing what is virtuous is to do as
a virtuous person would then we are given little direction as to what to do,
especially on a circumstantial basis, beyond a difficult to define idea of what a
virtuous person would do . This becomes a problem when we are faced with

and hosts of events and red carpet specials: media. Dispersion of Hip Hop through
channels that connect Blacks across different scopes happens through the media.
