How Did Religion Shape The History Of The Middle Ages
Religion was extremely important in regard to the shaping and history of the Middle Ages in Europe.
The Catholic Church, which began during the glory days of the Roman Empire, became the driving
force through the Middle Ages in Europe, managing to formulate a unified religious ruling body, a
deep spirituality, and oversaw cultural preservation that helped shape the history of Europe during this
period.
The Church managed to integrate herself into medieval society, where she could become part of the
everyday life of the people. She did this through a structured hierarchy, with the Pope, or the Bishop
of Rome, as her head, and other bishops were given dioceses around the world, and under each bishop
were priests who would minister to the people. This structured hierarchy came about with the collapse
of the Roman Empire. When the Emperor Constantine came to power, he recognized and supported
Christianity, and he created a new capital for the empire in the east. These two actions allowed the
Church and the Pope in Rome to grow in power, firstly because Constantine declared Christianity to
be legal, so they could openly practice their religion, and secondly because he moved the capital and

Much knowledge of the ancients should have been lost, but thanks to the Church and her monasteries
they were not. Many monasteries were built in Europe, and a mix of prayer and manual labor could be
found in each. Some of the manual labor the monks performed was the copying of books onto more
durable surfaces to be preserved. They chiefly reproduced the Bible and holy books, but they also
made copies of the works of pagan antiquity, which allowed much ancient writing to be carefully
preserved. This had a large effect on the history and shaping of Europe, because it preserved the light
of civilization during the Middle

THE ROLE OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING IN ORGANIZATIONAL CONTROL
SYSTEMS: PRELIMINARY EVIDENCE OF AN ORGANIC APPROACH
Abstract There seems to be recognition in the literature that traditional management accounting and
control systems (MAC) have limitations. However, there is limited ... Show more content on

A focus mainly on conventional financial and non financial based measurement and control is
considered too narrow in scope (Otley, 2003, 2001). There is an increasing expectation that MAC
systems should be innovative in design, flexible in operation, and should enable rapid organisational
change in response to capricious environmental circumstances (Otley, 1994; Otley et al, 1995; Otley,
2001; Nixon Burns, 2005). This implies an extension beyond traditional ideas of management
accounting and organisational control.
The research presented in this paper examines the interface between MAC and organisational strategy
by means of a case study of a New Zealand manufacturing business operating in a turbulent
environment. Key findings relate to the important role of an organic approach in the development and
support of a strategic focus to MAC. A relatively small privately owned business was selected for the
research because it has been suggested that, unlike large public corporations, such organisations often
have strong visionary management and may adopt a broader and more inventive management
accounting focus (Mitchell Reid, 2000; Dillard et al, 2005). Further, such organisations could be seen
as potential innovators in relation to MAC practices.

The remainder of the paper is organised into five sections. The next section discusses literature
relating to a contemporary MAC framework, which underpins the focus of the case study. The

Lady With The Dog
n The Lady with the Dog, Chekhov uses setting to enhance the mood of the story. The story begins on
the coastal town of Yalta during the hot summer. The strange light on the sea, the soft warm lilac hue
of the water and the golden streak from the moon upon it sets the tone for a budding summer romance.
The fact that the two main characters first meeting takes place in a garden setting signifies a love
about to bloom. Chekhov also uses the season/weather in his story. The summer in Yalta is the start of
a hopefully steamy affair for Gurov and the lady with the white Pomeranian. They spend a lot of time
walking, talking and dining together and taking in the smell of the sea. They watch the steamers go by.

As June travels on a train to Guangzhou with her father, she notices the tears of happiness in his eyes
as he looks out the window and sees a sectioned field of yellow, green and brown under the hot
October sky. Like Chekhov, Tan uses the season of autumn to establish the change the reader will see
in Jane s character. In autumn, there is a beautiful array of color changes. For Jane, this particular
autumn, spent briefly in China, and the colors outside the train window represent a transformation.
She is returning to her roots. She is going home to discover that her mother was right all along. The
colors in the field represent the change that is about to happen in Jane. Yellow, the color of the sun,
brings hope and happiness to the new day. The field of green represents new growth. Jane is on a
journey that will help her grow as a person. The brown field is just as important as the others. It is the
last one she notices looking out the train window as she arrives closer to Guangzhou and her roots.
Setting also shapes the conflict within Jane. Is Chinese really in her blood or is she an All American
girl? I think about what my mother said, about activating my genes and becoming Chinese. And I
wonder what she meant. As people are pushing and shoving to get off the train and wait in line for

College Is A Waste Of Time
As the cost of college has been rapidly increasing, many have become discontented with paying
unreasonable costs yet receiving few of the promised benefits. As evident in various statistics and
studies, the value of college has been overestimated. Scientifically and logistically speaking, the
pursuit of higher education is simply not a necessity. Dale Stephens article College is a Waste of Time
highlights the key issues and flaws of the college system. The article claims 36% of college graduates
showed no improvement in critical thinking, complex reasoning, or writing after 4 years of college
(Stephens). These essential skills are lacking in college graduates, which causes difficulty for
graduates as apply for jobs and enter the workforce.

A Statue of a Sphinx (Object E12326) A sphinx is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the
head of a human. These creatures were built as sculptures near the temples as guardians. A sphinx
symbolizes the intelligence of man united with the physical dominance of a lion (Giblin 121). The
sphinx is a purely Egyptian creation, that was first started in the 4th dynasty at about 2575 BCE
(Giblin 23). In Egypt sphinxes were generally associated with the sun god and with the king as a
living image. (Zivie Coche 148). The sun god was a vital part of Egyptian theology in almost every
dynasty. The sun disk God, Aten became the monotheistic focus of Egyptian theology while Re and
Atun were very prominent Egyptian gods that also represented the sun. Whenever sphinxes were
placed in front of Egyptian temples, they had a solar symbol or significance attached to it.
The Granite Sphinx of Ramses II wears a headdress and false beard to signify representation of a king
and serves as a protective entity to temples and pyramids. The false beard was tied to the divinity of
the Pharaoh (Redford 308). The beard is an innovation of the New Kingdom and did not exist during
the Old or the Middle Kingdom (Zivie Coche 148). Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

about a certain subject, usually a political subject. Propaganda usually does not tell the truth about
other countries strategy in war and what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong.
Propaganda was used mainly during WWII and WWI to promote nationalism in countries. This idea
was extremely effective, and very well could have started WWII. Propaganda Techniques There were
hundreds of types of propaganda, but we are only going to scratch the surface. One of the big ones

The Incident Rates Of Men With Cancer Black Men Essay
As stated previously in 2014 the USA had approximately 20.3 million people who were diagnosed
with cancer. When exploring the 2013 incident rates of men with cancer black men had an incident
rate of 518. Compared to white men of 473.9, next came Hispanic and Asian; black males had the
highest death rate among all races (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2016b). In regards to
women, white women had an incident rate of 417.4, followed by blacks, Hispanics, and Asians, but
the highest death rate is among black women (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2016b).
According to the statistics the needs for increased screening and care is needed in the African
American and Hispanic community.
Hospice patients vary in age, race, and socioeconomic demographic. Hospice agency care for neonate,
pediatric, adult and generic patients, in 2014 0.5% of patients were less than 24 years of age, 32.4.%
of patients were 25 74 years of age , and 67.1% of patients were over 75 years of age (National
Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, 2015). Most importantly when looking at hospice patients
by race/ethnicity, we are able to see the need for cultural diversity and sensitivity, in 2014 76% of
hospice patients were Caucasian, 7.6% were African American, and 7.1% were Hispanic or Latino.
This indicates a decrease in diversity compared to the findings of 2013.

Why Mexico And Not Canada
How do people feel when something completely biased is not in their favor? When people are
specifically targeted against for doing nothing wrong, is a horrible feeling. This is what happens every
day to Mexicans. Mexicans are practically hated if they try to come in our country compared to the
Canadians we enjoy having. People are shocked with the eye opening question, why Mexico and not
Canada . This is not because Mexicans are any worse but because there is a stereotype problem. . . .
This is a major problem buried in our country about the unjust discrepancy between the acceptance of
Mexican and Canadian Immigrants. . . This discrepancy is a biased view about what immigrants can
come into the U.S. It is huge problem how blatant racism in America is (insert ). . . News stories flash
about more border patrol agents going to protect our Mexican American border are on all of the time.
People receive a false feeling that Mexican immigrants are horrible. On the other side, we hear little
about our neighbor north of us. There is no focus on them because the U.S already feels the only
problem is Mexico. This places judgment about not being as good as the Canadians. This because a
problem of fairness; it is unfair. Mexicans are blamed for the bulk of why U.S. has immigration
problems. A study at the Migration Policy Institute shows immigrants are 13 percent of the American
population (INSERT ). Of this, less than two percent is made up of Hispanics. I conducted my own

The Role Of Moses In Machiavelli
The Bible portrays Moses as an indignant vigilante faced by the oppression of his confrères, as the
instigator of the revolt of the enslaved Israelites, as the leader of a newly constituted people, as a
legislator, and as a political founder. Of course, the Bible explicitly says that Moses is the servant of
God who acts only under the orders of a supreme and divine ruler. Yet Moses seems to be the human
leader of God s chosen people and plays an undeniably political role. To read the bible politically is a
question of determining how to interpret Moses and the exit from Egypt. From the outset, it is
important to note that Moses does not appear as the representative of a certain form of politics whose
mottoes and convictions he would manifest.
On the contrary, Moses plays the role of an emblematic political figure in political theories. Moses
approaches to political thought are varied and contradictory. Machiavelli proposes a realistic view of
Moses, he is interested in the biblical character and emphasizes the anthropological realism that Moses
demonstrated, but he is also interested in portraying Moses in the image of his own political narrative.
Machiavelli demonstrates that he is convinced that the Bible offers a realistic and even disenchanted
view of men who oppose any form of political idealism. According to Machiavelli, the Bible shows
men as determined by their passions that forbid them, most of the time, from virtuous behavior. Upon
greater scrutiny, the Bible

Symbolism in “Cats” and “Shiloh”
Jill McCorkle, along with Bobbie Ann Mason often use the symbolism of a short story to further the
meaning of the piece. In the short story Shiloh , Mason uses Leroy and Norma Jean to exhibit a further
meaning of the story by effectively using symbolism. In addition to Shiloh , McCorkle also uses
symbolism in her story Cats to symbolise how cats can be related to humans in multiple ways.
McCorkle describes the relationship between two cats, Pumpkin Pie and Possum, and their two human
counterparts, Anne and Abbott, and how they share similar characteristics. In works such as Shiloh
and Cats , symbolism furthers the meaning of the story and leave the interpretation of the work up to
the reader.
In Bobbie Ann Mason s short story Shiloh , Mason uses the marriage of Leroy and Norma Jean to
symbolise how Leroy s life decisions can be detrimental to his marriage. Ever since Leroy was in an
accident while driving a truck, he was able to stay at home with Norma Jean often. This time together
make them realize how little they still loved each other. Mason uses the symbolism of him losing his
job to represent how their love for each other has deterred over the course of their marriage. Bobbie
Ann Mason use symbolism effectively when he writes Norma Jean has reached the bluff, and she is
looking out over the Tennessee River. Now she turns toward Leroy and waves her arms. Is she

Types Of Standards And Protocols In Computer Network Systems
The documented agreements with precise criteria are standards. It stipulates how a product or service
should be designed or performed. Standards form the fundamental building blocks for a product by
establishing consistent protocols which can be globally adopted and accepted. For a device to
communicate over a computer network, standards and protocols gives rules that helps the hardware
and software to work together. There are different standards like ANSI, IEEE etc.The advantage of
TDM is as follows:
(i)When multiplexed between the signals there is low intrusion.
(ii)There is bandwidth savings.
(iii) TDM provide more flexibility and efficiency, by dynamically allocating more time periods to the

Reflective Philosophy In Education
Throughout my education, I had the benefit of attending fifteen different schools in various locations
in the United States. This provided me with the opportunity to experience a variety of teaching
methods and philosophies utilized by educators. Also, my son attended eight different schools in
various states that provided me with additional exposure to various teaching methods. By using my
past experiences along with my current studies, I lean heavily towards an overall constructivist
philosophy, though each of the philosophies commonly referenced has aspects that are beneficial to
students learning also.
As Dewey, I believe in providing a classroom atmosphere that is democratically focused where
students feel comfortable to communicate and express their opinions while respecting and listening to
others. With this in mind, I plan to provide and facilitate many opportunities for students to converse
and collaborate together while working on projects so students can learn to appreciate different
perspectives. By providing students with a voice in the classroom, students can also participate in
setting the goals and objectives of not only the lessons, but allows them to take responsibility for their
personal learning and growth. Dewey also believed that students learned best through real life, hands
on experiences that have meaning to the learner and previous experiences can be applied in new ways.
Teachers are responsible for providing these opportunities and encouraging

Evaluate The Social And Economic Effects Of The Berlin Wall
The Berlin wall had a massive impact on east and West Germany, socially, economically and how the
contrast between them affected each other when the wall fell.
On 13 August 1961, a wall was erected through Berlin, named the Berlin Wall. The wall completely
cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany. I will be evaluating the social and economic
impacts the Berlin Wall had on East and West Germany when it got built, and how they affected each
other after the wall fell. Before the wall Germany has recently been defeated in World War II this
caused Soviets, Americans, British and French to hold a conference meeting to decide the division of
Germany. They decided to divide Germany into four zones one for each. France, the U.S. and Britain
were guaranteed access to their zones in Berlin, even though they had to pass through the Soviet zone
to get there. But the differing ideology of the Soviets and their former allies became apparent almost
immediately.
Soviets controlled most of East Europe and started to install communist governments in nations like
Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. But people started to flee the harsh strict rule of these countries.
2.6 million East Germans had escaped to West Germany. This had a devastating effect on East
Germany because the majority of the people who left were young skilled people, such as intellectuals,
doctors and engineers. This was humiliating to East Germany and they didn t want to lose any more

skills which I learnt on placement were how to effectively use my interpersonal skills along with my
use of self and learnt how to recording information on the organisations database. These skills link in
with my learning plan, in particular my learning goal of participate in professional practice with a
focus on the use of self and practice standards. When I was on placement, I was a part of a team which
required me to use my interpersonal skills and use of self in a particular way. By being a part of a team
I had to comprehend how I was going to use my interpersonal skills and use of self, for example I was
using my personality, non verbal and verbal cues to interact with clients and my team. Towards the
end of placement I was provided with the opportunity to use my self and interpersonal skills while
working with a young girl. The way in which I used my interpersonal skills was by sitting at the same
level as the young girl and I mirrored her behaviour in some sections of the meeting. When I was
working with the young girl, I made sure that there were no barriers such as a table in the middle of
us. Another key skill which I obtained was information recording by writing case notes and

The Evolution Of Quality Management
I always enjoy reading about the history of something because it tends to show you the evolution of it.
In this case, the evolution of Quality is there. In the definition of quality in Chapter 2, Feigenbaum and
Crosby both state what they think is the contributing part of quality. Feigenbaum believes that meeting
the customers expectations is the key, while Crosby feels that if you put an impeccable product out,
then that s quality. However, Goetsch and Davis define a hybrid version of Feigenbaum and Crosby s
thoughts on Quality, which incorporate the constant change that is the customer. The customer is the
driving force that makes business produce goods and services. Each era in the history of quality has its
place. Lessons learned along the way have shaped where we are today Quality Management. In the
craftsmanship era, businesses had relationships with their small town customers who produced small
scale personable products or services that could be shared word of mouth. In order to take quality
business into the future there had to be major changes if companies were going to be able to produce
quality on the global scale. Quality managers tried everything from getting the employees to believe in
their work, receive awards, and incentives to do more with less. The history of Quality Management
has driven goods and services to be great, and change with the customers expectations which continue
changing.

Edgar Allan Poe
Introduction
In this project, I will be discussing about my poet Edgar Allan Poe. Poe had written numerous of
poems and stories but the one I chose was Annabel Lee . This poem was written in 1849 which was a
long time ago. Even though this poem is centuries old, it is still a well known poem. This whole
project includes a biography, literary movement, and a explication about the poem.
The biography includes where Poe grew up and how his lifestyle were. Through research and sources,
I found out that Poe lived a hard life. He was in a lot of debts with no money. Not only was that,
Annabel Lee known as a romanticism which was also established during the European times. This
poem was one of my favorite.
The explication was an opinion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Poe was unconscious for several days and died in the hospital on Sunday, October 7, 1849. His death
was mysterious and there were many urban stories to his death.
Literary Movement
Edgar Allan Poe wrote Annabel Lee in the year of 1849 (Cynthia A. Bily). After his wife died, he had
published this poem. The era that this poem was written was during the nineteenth century, European
literature. Poe s poems and stories were greatly influenced to French Symbolism who then alter to new
modernism. ( Edgar Allan Poe Poetry Foundation). Annabel Lee was the love of his life, his wife. Due
to this poem, he expresses many and also deep feelings towards his wife. You could tell that he was
heartbroken and longing for the love of his life.
Poe s poem Annabel Lee falls under Romanticism. Romanticism was well known by its origin and
influence. By the 1820, it traveled through Europe and towards the west hemisphere where musical
introduced it. After these years, Romanticism was well known and also used in many ways. As of
today, it is still popular ( Romanticism Paul Brians). Romantic is also a part of nature and its power.
Romanticism is beauty and its art that is widespread among everything.
As for the criticism for this poem, overall was very positive. Most people who read had read this poem
had greatly liked it. Soni00sh, the publisher of its criticism, said that Poe, maybe, wanted to make a
point that there is such a thing as true, undying love. This meant that

Cuttlefish are found in large numbers throughout the world s ocean waters from the warm, tropical
shallows to the cold depths of the deep ocean. The cuttlefish s catch in the Gulf of Suez was composed
of four species; Sepia savignyi, S. pharaonis, S. dollfusi, and S. trygonina and S. savignyi. Sepia
svignyi (Blainville, 1827) is the major targeted cuttlefish resource in the study area. This species,
endemic to Western Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Gulf of Suez, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea and the Persian
Gulf, it is a dominant component in commercial cuttlefish catches reported from the Gulf of Suez, this
species is heavily overexploited. In Egypt s commercially important trawl fishery in the Gulf of Suez,
the percentage of cuttlefish constitutes about 2.31% of the total catch during the fishing season
2014/2015. Few studies were made on the cuttlefish biology of Sepia savignyi Blainville, 1827.
Ibrahim et al. (1993) investigated the age, length weight relationship and theoretical growth of S.
savignyi collected from the Gulf of Suez. . El Gammal and Mehanna (2006) evaluated the cuttlefish
fishery status in the Gulf of Suez using surplus production model. EL Sherbeny (2009) studied
population dynamic and fisheries of three species of cuttlefish (S. savignyi, S. dollfusi and S.
pharaonis) in the Gulf of Suez, Egypt, Mehanna and El Gammal (2010) estimated the population

Encoding Specificity
Background
For the average college student, taking notes is pretty important because it is how information is
studied. If you where to observe a college classroom you would see people taking notes on paper,
computers, and tape recorders. When test time comes around, they are all on paper, this could have an
effect on testing performance. Encoding specificity principle could affect recall of information.
Explained by Tulving and Thomson (1973) the principle asserts that only that can be retrieved that has
been stored, and that how it can be retrieved depends on how it was stored . What they are saying is
information is retrieved best when context cues are present at the time of encoding and recall. Based
on this principle it is possible that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In that experiment they where testing recognition memory. A normal college test doesn t just test for
recognition memory, although this does demonstrate the limits of encoding specificity. While in other
studies they looked closely at recall and encoding specificity. They found that scuba divers recall more
words when the learning environment matched the testing environment (Godden and Baddeley 1975).
This shows that extrinsic context effects recall and supports the encoding specificity principle. The
medium of notes is a form of extrinsic context, like the environments, test score will be higher if the
medium of notes and test where to be congruent. In an experiment looking at associative memory
context, participants where presented a word or a word pair with strong or weak association, they then
had to recognize the words from a test list (Tulving, Thomson 1971). They summarized their results
saying, with availability of stored information held constant, recognition of a previously seen item
depends upon its context at the time of the test, recognition being higher if test context matches the
input context than if the input context is removed or altered. Here a different form of context aids
recognition memory. The medium of notes is not the same type of extrinsic context as the
environments from Duncan Godden and Alan Baddeley (1980) experiment on recognition memory on

Ghetto In Nazi Germany
While under the jurisdiction of the Nazi Party (1933 1945), Europe s Jewish population experienced
an enormous amount of injustice. This is evident through Jews being denied refuge from nations all
over the globe in the build up to the Second World War. In addition, this belief also becomes apparent
via the isolation of Jewish people in ghettos. Furthermore, the extermination of an estimated 3 million
innocent Jews in death camps proves that Jewish populace suffered a vast amount of prejudice while
the Nazi Party obtained control over Europe.
Many of the Jewish people attempted to flee Europe as life became increasingly more difficult;
however, in their time of need, they were denied refuge in various countries. During the early 1930 s,

part of the Final Solution to the Jewish Question the Nazis structured effort to completely eliminate
the Jewish population (The Danish Centre of Holocaust and Genocide Studies. 2002.). In Chelmno,
over 152 000 Jews were gassed to death using exhausts from trucks. Belzec, Treblinka and Sobibor
were then created under the codename Operation Reinhard the purpose of this Operation being to kill
all Jews in German occupied Poland (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. 2014.). Combined,
approximately 1.75 million Jews perished in these three camps. Additionally, two more death camps
were created in the concentration camps of Majdanek and Auschwitz Birkenau. Majdanek claimed the
lives of 60 000 80 000 Jews. However, it is determined that between 1 and 2 million Jews perished in
Auschwitz. Although gas chambers were the most common method of killing, another practise
included mass shootings. In Majdanek, an estimated 17 18 000 Jews were killed in an act of a mass

Marine Pollution
I make my way down the sand with the scorching sun shining bright in my face, trying to reach to the
cooling ocean as fast as I can. I feel the ocean s continuous movement of the currents shifting back
and forth, making me think about how the ocean currents create the rubbish patches, gathering bits of
plastic on the way. I wonder if people think about the consequences of littering before doing it and the
harm that it has on the sea life?
Over the last few decades human activities have become a danger to marine life, through marine
pollution. According to WWF.panda.org over 80% of marine pollution comes from land based
activities, such as oil, fertilisers, general rubbish, sewage disposal, and toxic chemicals. As someone
who cares about ocean and its sea life these statistics always saddens me to think that humans are the
main cause of their harm. Just this weekend there has been an article in the newspaper about a whale s
stomach that was full of around 30 plastic bags. The whale was then put down in Norway after they
failed to rescue it. What we need to realise as people is that even though the ocean may seem big
enough to hold a lot of pollution it s actually having an enormous effect on the marine life and could
also start having more of an effect on us through diseases, transferred when eating contaminated fish
that may have consumed the toxic substances. The newspaper article on the whale sadly didn t even
seem to surprise me anymore, I have seen many similar

Youtube Symphony Orchestra
Today, classical music by many can be seen as a dying genre of music. Not often do people attend
concerts to be moved emotionally, for entertainment, or as a means of socializing. Though groups such
as 2Cellos, Piano Guys, and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra have recently driven people back to
concert halls and have them watching classical performances online. The YouTube Symphony
Orchestra has made a significant movement to this genre of music by live streaming their
performances (one in 2009 and the other in 2011).
YouTube Symphony Orchestra s performance in 2011 had people hustling to the Sydney Opera House,
and was live streamed around the world for viewers at home. The orchestra performed various pieces
of music from modern to classical. Though their final piece, The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky, brought

The first song played from the Orchestra was Infernal Dance. The whole orchestra plays a loud chord
to show the intensity of the piece. The rhythm of this movement is syncopation due to the rhythm not

then transitions to the soothing movement Berceuse. Berceuse is a lullaby played by the bassoon. The

Michaels dream has a sense of uncertainty looming about it. In Michael s dream he is in a blackbirds

the bottom of the tree they are in. The doctors are equipped with a table of knifes and scissors. The
two men are beckoning Michael to come down with the baby. Bring her down! he yelled we ll make
her good as new . The knives and scissors symbolise Michaels worries of what might happen to the
baby if he takes her down or if he puts his trust into the doctors. The line we ll make her as good as

him seeing how far they can take him. When Michael sees the great bare patches on her skin it implies
that she is weak that she is not strong enough to fly. She teetered on the brink indicates Michaels
worries of close she is to falling or how close she is to dying. Almond describes that baby being

Taking a look at Sky Spirits LLC
During 1992, one of the strongest opponents of V S Absolut Spirits was born. SKYY Spirits LLC
entered the market for alcoholic beverages without having any difficulties, despite the fact that
Absolut had established itself in the States for the past 13 years. The entrance of the SKYY Company
was mostly due to the lack of entry market barriers from the Absolut Vodka. The SKYY Company was
founded in 1992 by Maurice Kanbar in San Francisco, California and ever since then, both its
popularity and the sales volumes have actually increased phenomenally . Nowadays, SKYY Spirits
LLC is one of the fastest growing enterprises as their main product is high priced vodka of high
quality. However, there is still the question of why and how the success of this company was brought.
It offers the same products with Absolut, yet it had much more success and fame. The similarities of
the two companies are quite striking. An example of that the flavors of vodka that can be found in
both companies are berry, vanilla, citrus, orange, peach and melon. If we were to use Marketing
terminology we could refer to it as the Me too product . If we take into consideration us, meaning the
customer, it does not make any sense to buy a new and unknown vodka that offers the exact same
flavors as Absolut. Thus, in order to do so, the SKYY Company had to change the way it was
presented as it had lots of competition in the market. As the Absolut Vodka established itself with the

Nature Conservation And Its Impacts On Local Communities
HOW NEOLIBERALISATION FLOURISHES IN NATURE CONSERVATION AND ITS IMPACTS
ON LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
Neoliberalism has had its footprints marked in the sands of history. It has had it limits and it has had
its advantages but all those depends on who is the subject we look at. Neoliberalism can be defined in
a lot of different ways by scholars but the general definition of neoliberalism is the political term used
for the theory whereby the economy is open to investors, and the free market is given priority.
Neoliberalism has its key players as the state, the market and the civil society. These three key actors
in neoliberalism can define the term in different ways as the effects and impacts of neoliberalism play
differently for each party.
In Tanzania, the neoliberalization of the economy started in the mid 1980s with the privatization of
parastatal organizations, the deregulation and the opening up of trade and banking, foreign exchange
deregulation, and tax reform (Benjaminsen et al., 2013). The neoliberal processes have a long term
history of heavily impacting negatively on citizens and the environment. The economy of Tanzania is
mostly from wildlife tourism and game hunting. The neoliberal acts in these context comes to play
when the land sustaining the wildlife is situated among villages where citizens live. Impacts of the
conservation of the land arises for these villagers and the environment. In this essay we will discuss
how the neoliberal practices in Tanzania over

With regard to the relationship between government spending and private consumption, two opponent
points of view can be found. The first one states that there is a relation of substitution between
government spending and private consumption. However, the other one concludes that government
spending and private consumption are complements. Therefore, it can be easily seen that it is a
controversial issue for both economists and policy makers. According to the literature, several studies
have been done to test the relationship between government spending and private consumption in the
context of industrialized countries, OECD countries, and some Asian countries. Of course, Egypt was
not one of these studied cases. Moreover, when a study was done to investigate this point of research
in the context of a group of African countries (Anoruo 2005) that performed a panel data analysis for
24 countries; Unfortunately, Egypt was not included in this panel data analysis. As a result, there is a
gap in the literature of testing the relationship between government spending and private consumption
for Egypt. Consequently, this study aims to provide an answer to this important question; does
government spending substitute or complement private consumption in Egypt? Literature Review:

Why Is The Battle Of Hastings Successful
The Battle of Hastings, 1066, saw Harold Godwinson, King of England, defeated by William, Duke of
Normandy. This historic battle was the result of Harold s predecessor, Edward the Confessor, not
leaving an heir to the English throne. This led to over 9 months of fighting between the four claimants
to the throne; Edgar the Atheling, Harald Hardrada, William, Duke of Normandy and Harold
Godwinson. At last, only two remained standing; Harold and William. This essay will describe the
events of the Battle of Hastings and explain the dominating factors of William s triumph: preparation

The battle of Hastings took place on Senlac Hill, of which Harold was on. He chose this position so
the Normans would have to charge uphill to get to them. This meant that the Normans would tire out
quicker. Harold put his soldiers in a shield wall, making it harder for William s men to get to them.
William divided his men into three groups roughly corresponding to origin. The left third was the
Bretons, along with those from Anjou, Maine and Poitou. The right was made up by Frenchmen, along
with some men from Picardy, Boulogne, and Flanders, with the centre third consisting of mainly
Normans. William s plan was to use his many archers to weaken the frontlines and then charge.
However, when his plan failed and his arrows bounced harmlessly off the Saxon shields, he ordered a
charge. At his command, all three thirds charged towards the Saxon wall and engaged in battle almost
instantaneously. Many Normans were injured in this clash, whereas most of the Saxons were well
protected by their shield wall. At some point during the battle, some of William s army, mainly the
Bretons, ran away from the battle when they heard that William had been killed in the clash. William
had to take off his helmet

of leaves are being viewed from the front but there are two seemingly randomly placed leaves that are

Ancient Egyptian Civilization
The ancient Egyptian civilization is arguably the oldest civilization in the world. It is believed to have
emerged around 5,500 years ago, although some scholars have estimated an even earlier date. During
the predynastic period the Egyptians were not united, but as the Sahara desert expanded many people
began moving their settlements around the Nile River. These settlements started coming together to
form towns. As these towns progressed they developed many new ideas to help the society run
smoother. However the total unification and start of the ancient Egyptian civilization did not happen,
until Hierakonpolis expanded and conquered Naqada. The ancient Egyptian civilization was now
created. Since this civilization was one of the first in the world, there was no structure to start with. In
order to function as a thriving civilization, the Egyptians had to accomplish agricultural, architectural,
medical, and educational advancements. The ancient Egyptian s advancements in agriculture is one of
the driving forces that lead to the success of their empire. The Egyptian civilization came together
because of the need for fertile soil and a constant supply of water. Although the Nile was a constant
supply of water, the Egyptians still needed to find a way to bring the water to their crops. Murray
shows the reason why irrigation was needed, In Egypt, 6000 years ago, when the latest rainy interlude
began to wane, neolithic tribesmen from both sides flocked into the Nile Valley

The Supreme Being of the North
During the early 1900s in China, it was difficult for people of the lower class to rise out of poverty. It
was a time where the rich got richer, while the poor got poorer. Even so, in the novel, The Good Earth,
when Wang Lung is thrown into penury, he manages to rise to become prosperous. He owes his
accomplishments to the land because as a farmer, it s the land that continues to feed his family and
brings him wealth. The land itself is not a character in The Good Earth, but even so, it plays a major
role in Wang Lung s life. The land is described as a supreme being in the novel because it brings Wang
Lung success and affluence, purifies him and controls his life. Firstly for Wang Lung, as farmer, the
land is like a supreme being because it controls his wealth. It is what keeps the family from starving

Depending on the mood of the land, Wang Lung s life fluctuates. Namely, when the land is in a good
mood, Wang Lung s life is put in great prosperity. The fertile soil gives him great harvest and allows
his family to live in comfort. But when the land is in a bad mood, it s an utterly different story. For
example, when a great drought falls on Wang Lung s village, ... the fields, although Wang Lung
cultivated them desperately, dried and cracked ... when they found nothing coming from the soil or the
sky for them, ceased their growing and stood motionless... (70). This shows that the land controls
Wang Lung life because this drought causes Wang Lung and his family to move to the South. In
conclusion, the land could make Wang Lung live a resplendent life or half starved. This shows that in
the novel, the land is like a supreme being because it affects a man s life so severely that it is much

Constributions of Greek Culture
Kings of the Hellenistic era built temples, staffed with priest, for old gods. This way they spread
Greek religious beliefs throughout the Near East. This broadened peoples span of knowledge of
religions, science and philosophy and shaped the world. When people got tired of it and found rituals
unsatisfying, they turned to mystery religions. Civic religions were primarily concerned with rituals
and did not embrace such matters as morality and redemption. People did not inspire deep religious
feelings or satisfy spiritual yearning. Hellenistic culture in general were not tied to a particular place,
instead they were spread throughout the Hellenistic world. People didn t have to travel to become
members. The mystery religions, which incorporated aspects of both Greek and Eastern religions, all
claimed to save their adherents from the worst that fate could do and promised life for the soul after
death. OF the mystery religions the Egyptian Cult of Iris took the Hellenistic world by storm. In
Egyptian mythology, Iris brought her husband Oisris back to life. She promised to save any mortal
that came to her, and her priests asserted that she had bestowed on humanity the gift of civilization
and founded law and literature. Iris became the goddess of marriage, conception, and childbirth.
Philosophical schools fought that people could be truly happy only when they had turned their backs
on the world and focused full attention on one enduring thing. Depending on the school they

Systematic Organization in Learning
When you classify music in genres, terms such as Classical can be rather broad, and it can include
both Classical time period (1750 1820) and pieces from the 19th to 21st century. For example, a piece
written by J.S. Bach, can be classified as Classical, it is technically more suitably defined as being in
the Baroque genre because it is different in terms of sound quality ,composition technique,
instrumentation and arrangement.
In conclusion, systematic organization of facts is not fruitful as arts are full of opinions and
perspectives. It is difficult to systematize aspects of Arts that are based on personal Knowledge rather
it is more subjectivity than propositional ways of knowing. Even if you can systematically organize
things such as musical notes in music, the purpose of music is to communicate feelings and emotion,
and this cannot be just done by reading the musical notes to play. The technique and intention of the
performance included in it. Therefore system in Arts is not as necessary as it is in areas like Natural
Science as Arts is not only based on facts which leads me to an argument such as whether or not it is
always necessary for knowledge to be based on facts in order for that knowledge to be considered
adequately justified.
The second Areas of Knowledge I will be discussing is natural sciences. I take Biology so I chose to
focus on Biology so that I can talk from my experience. System is often used in Natural Sciences in
order to help organize a

My Life As A Registered Nurse
Have you ever had a moment in life that validated the direction in which you felt compelled to follow?
A moment which never escapes your mind because it represents one of the purest, symbolic instances
you have experienced? Or a moment as simple as being handed a book to encourage you to further
your dream? A time to inspire you to succeed in becoming something even more significant than you
already are? Or had a moment offering you the opportunity to enhance your knowledge, and thrust
yourself into the world you so deeply want to be a part of? I was handed the Merck Manual along with
a kind gesture and warm hearted encouragement which aided in igniting a fire, reaffirming what I felt
I was meant to do; it was a defining moment in my life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having the ability to comprehend and sympathize with individuals that came into the clinic for
different medical conditions not only made me a better person but will also make me a more
competent nurse in my future. I still have the manual I was given that fateful day. I will never get rid
of it. I will cherish the manual and the memory of the kind lady that gave it to me. Mary believed in
me and my future. The tome means more to me than I could ever portray on paper. The manual not
only lit a fire in my soul but represents my goal. This symbolism is what makes me continue to carry it
from home to home. Having someone believe so deeply in me and always encouraging me to follow
my dream was very instrumental during the time that I worked for the clinic, and continues to be as I
continue on my path of becoming an RN. I will use The Merck Manual again, now that I am actively
pursuing my nursing degree. It will be a fundamental instrument to refresh my mind on diagnosis,
treatments, procedures, and other things I may have forgotten. It will reacquaint me with the world of
which I truly desire to be a part

The Nordic diet is a diet that involves eating foods that are commonly eaten by people who live in
Nordic countries. Finland, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway are Nordic countries. The Nordic
encourages people to eat seafood, low fat dairy products, fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices often.
Game meats, cheese, yogurt and free range eggs should be eaten in moderation. People who follow the
Nordic diet seldom eat red meat and animal fats. Processed meats, sugar, fast food and food additives
should be avoided.
There are a number of health benefits that can be reaped from following the Nordic diet. Below is a
list of some of the ways that Nordic diet can benefit your health:
Weight Loss

The subjects who followed the Danish diet only lost four pounds. One of the reasons that the Nordic
helps promote weight loss is because people obtain most of their calories from plant sources. It is also
low in the foods that cause weight gain, such as animal fat and processed foods.
Lower Blood Pressure
The Nordic diet can help reduce blood pressure. There was a six week study that involved obese
participants. The subjects were asked to follow the Nordic diet. The subjects were able to reduce their
systolic blood pressure by 5.1 mmhg, and they were able to reduce their systolic blood pressure by 3.2
mmhg. Because the Nordic diet can help lower blood pressure, it can improve heart health.
Inflammation
Chronic inflammation is the underlying cause of many diseases. Studies have shown that the Nordic
diet can help curb inflammation. This can help reduce your risk of many illnesses, including heart
disease and

  • 2. How Did Religion Shape The History Of The Middle Ages Religion was extremely important in regard to the shaping and history of the Middle Ages in Europe. The Catholic Church, which began during the glory days of the Roman Empire, became the driving force through the Middle Ages in Europe, managing to formulate a unified religious ruling body, a deep spirituality, and oversaw cultural preservation that helped shape the history of Europe during this period. The Church managed to integrate herself into medieval society, where she could become part of the everyday life of the people. She did this through a structured hierarchy, with the Pope, or the Bishop of Rome, as her head, and other bishops were given dioceses around the world, and under each bishop were priests who would minister to the people. This structured hierarchy came about with the collapse of the Roman Empire. When the Emperor Constantine came to power, he recognized and supported Christianity, and he created a new capital for the empire in the east. These two actions allowed the Church and the Pope in Rome to grow in power, firstly because Constantine declared Christianity to be legal, so they could openly practice their religion, and secondly because he moved the capital and ... Many monasteries were built in Europe, and a mix of prayer and manual labor could be found in each. Some of the manual labor the monks performed was the copying of books onto more durable surfaces to be preserved. They chiefly reproduced the Bible and holy books, but they also made copies of the works of pagan antiquity, which allowed much ancient writing to be carefully preserved. This had a large effect on the history and shaping of Europe, because it preserved the light of civilization during the Middle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, there is limited ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A focus mainly on conventional financial and non financial based measurement and control is considered too narrow in scope (Otley, 2003, 2001). There is an increasing expectation that MAC systems should be innovative in design, flexible in operation, and should enable rapid organisational change in response to capricious environmental circumstances (Otley, 1994; Otley et al, 1995; Otley, 2001; Nixon Burns, 2005). This implies an extension beyond traditional ideas of management accounting and organisational control. The research presented in this paper examines the interface between MAC and organisational strategy by means of a case study of a New Zealand manufacturing business operating in a turbulent environment. Key findings relate to the important role of an organic approach in the development and support of a strategic focus to MAC. A relatively small privately owned business was selected for the research because it has been suggested that, unlike large public corporations, such organisations often have strong visionary management and may adopt a broader and more inventive management accounting focus (Mitchell Reid, 2000; Dillard et al, 2005). Further, such organisations could be seen as potential innovators in relation to MAC practices. 2 The remainder of the paper is organised into five sections. The next section discusses literature relating to a contemporary MAC framework, which underpins the focus of the case study. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Lady With The Dog n The Lady with the Dog, Chekhov uses setting to enhance the mood of the story. The story begins on the coastal town of Yalta during the hot summer. The strange light on the sea, the soft warm lilac hue of the water and the golden streak from the moon upon it sets the tone for a budding summer romance. The fact that the two main characters first meeting takes place in a garden setting signifies a love about to bloom. Chekhov also uses the season/weather in his story. The summer in Yalta is the start of a hopefully steamy affair for Gurov and the lady with the white Pomeranian. As June travels on a train to Guangzhou with her father, she notices the tears of happiness in his eyes as he looks out the window and sees a sectioned field of yellow, green and brown under the hot October sky. Like Chekhov, Tan uses the season of autumn to establish the change the reader will see in Jane s character. In autumn, there is a beautiful array of color changes. For Jane, this particular autumn, spent briefly in China, and the colors outside the train window represent a transformation. She is returning to her roots. She is going home to discover that her mother was right all along. The colors in the field represent the change that is about to happen in Jane. Yellow, the color of the sun, brings hope and happiness to the new day. The field of green represents new growth. Jane is on a journey that will help her grow as a person. The brown field is just as important as the others. It is the last one she notices looking out the train window as she arrives closer to Guangzhou and her roots. Setting also shapes the conflict within Jane. Is Chinese really in her blood or is she an All American girl? I think about what my mother said, about activating my genes and becoming Chinese. Sphinx Research Paper Olufemi Palmer Dr. Josef Wegner NELC 062 3 March 2017 A Statue of a Sphinx (Object E12326) A sphinx is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. These creatures were built as sculptures near the temples as guardians. A sphinx symbolizes the intelligence of man united with the physical dominance of a lion (Giblin 121). The sphinx is a purely Egyptian creation, that was first started in the 4th dynasty at about 2575 BCE (Giblin 23). In Egypt sphinxes were generally associated with the sun god and with the king as a living image. (Zivie Coche 148). The sun god was a vital part of Egyptian theology in almost every dynasty. The sun disk God, Aten became the monotheistic focus of Egyptian theology while Re and Atun were very prominent Egyptian gods that also represented the sun. Whenever sphinxes were placed in front of Egyptian temples, they had a solar symbol or significance attached to it. The Granite Sphinx of Ramses II wears a headdress and false beard to signify representation of a king and serves as a protective entity to temples and pyramids. The false beard was tied to the divinity of the Pharaoh (Redford 308). The beard is an innovation of the New Kingdom and did not exist during the Old or the Middle Kingdom (Zivie Coche 148). Many ... When people are specifically targeted against for doing nothing wrong, is a horrible feeling. This is what happens every day to Mexicans. Mexicans are practically hated if they try to come in our country compared to the Canadians we enjoy having. People are shocked with the eye opening question, why Mexico and not Canada . This is not because Mexicans are any worse but because there is a stereotype problem. . . . This is a major problem buried in our country about the unjust discrepancy between the acceptance of Mexican and Canadian Immigrants. . . This discrepancy is a biased view about what immigrants can come into the U.S. It is huge problem how blatant racism in America is (insert ). . . News stories flash about more border patrol agents going to protect our Mexican American border are on all of the time. People receive a false feeling that Mexican immigrants are horrible. On the other side, we hear little about our neighbor north of us. There is no focus on them because the U.S already feels the only problem is Mexico. This places judgment about not being as good as the Canadians. This because a problem of fairness; it is unfair. Mexicans are blamed for the bulk of why U.S. has immigration problems. A study at the Migration Policy Institute shows immigrants are 13 percent of the American population (INSERT ). Of this, less than two percent is made up of Hispanics. I conducted my own ... • 10. The Role Of Moses In Machiavelli The Bible portrays Moses as an indignant vigilante faced by the oppression of his confrères, as the instigator of the revolt of the enslaved Israelites, as the leader of a newly constituted people, as a legislator, and as a political founder. Of course, the Bible explicitly says that Moses is the servant of God who acts only under the orders of a supreme and divine ruler. Yet Moses seems to be the human leader of God s chosen people and plays an undeniably political role. To read the bible politically is a question of determining how to interpret Moses and the exit from Egypt. From the outset, it is important to note that Moses does not appear as the representative of a certain form of politics whose mottoes and convictions he would manifest. On the contrary, Moses plays the role of an emblematic political figure in political theories. Moses approaches to political thought are varied and contradictory. Machiavelli proposes a realistic view of Moses, he is interested in the biblical character and emphasizes the anthropological realism that Moses demonstrated, but he is also interested in portraying Moses in the image of his own political narrative. Machiavelli demonstrates that he is convinced that the Bible offers a realistic and even disenchanted view of men who oppose any form of political idealism. According to Machiavelli, the Bible shows men as determined by their passions that forbid them, most of the time, from virtuous behavior. Upon greater scrutiny, the Bible ... By using my past experiences along with my current studies, I lean heavily towards an overall constructivist philosophy, though each of the philosophies commonly referenced has aspects that are beneficial to students learning also. As Dewey, I believe in providing a classroom atmosphere that is democratically focused where students feel comfortable to communicate and express their opinions while respecting and listening to others. With this in mind, I plan to provide and facilitate many opportunities for students to converse and collaborate together while working on projects so students can learn to appreciate different perspectives. By providing students with a voice in the classroom, students can also participate in setting the goals and objectives of not only the lessons, but allows them to take responsibility for their personal learning and growth. Dewey also believed that students learned best through real life, hands on experiences that have meaning to the learner and previous experiences can be applied in new ways. Soviets controlled most of East Europe and started to install communist governments in nations like Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. But people started to flee the harsh strict rule of these countries. 2.6 million East Germans had escaped to West Germany. In the definition of quality in Chapter 2, Feigenbaum and Crosby both state what they think is the contributing part of quality. Feigenbaum believes that meeting the customers expectations is the key, while Crosby feels that if you put an impeccable product out, then that s quality. However, Goetsch and Davis define a hybrid version of Feigenbaum and Crosby s thoughts on Quality, which incorporate the constant change that is the customer. The customer is the driving force that makes business produce goods and services. Each era in the history of quality has its place. Lessons learned along the way have shaped where we are today Quality Management. In the craftsmanship era, businesses had relationships with their small town customers who produced small scale personable products or services that could be shared word of mouth. If you where to observe a college classroom you would see people taking notes on paper, computers, and tape recorders. When test time comes around, they are all on paper, this could have an effect on testing performance. Encoding specificity principle could affect recall of information. Explained by Tulving and Thomson (1973) the principle asserts that only that can be retrieved that has been stored, and that how it can be retrieved depends on how it was stored . What they are saying is information is retrieved best when context cues are present at the time of encoding and recall. Based on this principle it is possible that ... A normal college test doesn t just test for recognition memory, although this does demonstrate the limits of encoding specificity. While in other studies they looked closely at recall and encoding specificity. They found that scuba divers recall more words when the learning environment matched the testing environment (Godden and Baddeley 1975). This shows that extrinsic context effects recall and supports the encoding specificity principle. The medium of notes is a form of extrinsic context, like the environments, test score will be higher if the medium of notes and test where to be congruent. In an experiment looking at associative memory context, participants where presented a word or a word pair with strong or weak association, they then had to recognize the words from a test list (Tulving, Thomson 1971). They summarized their results saying, with availability of stored information held constant, recognition of a previously seen item depends upon its context at the time of the test, recognition being higher if test context matches the input context than if the input context is removed or altered. Here a different form of context aids recognition memory. The medium of notes is not the same type of extrinsic context as the environments from Duncan Godden and Alan Baddeley (1980) experiment on recognition memory on scuba ... The rhythm of this movement is syncopation due to the rhythm not being on the beat. This makes the strong beat weak, thus giving a chilling ambience. Infernal Dance then transitions to the soothing movement Berceuse. Berceuse is a lullaby played by the bassoon. The Orchestra concludes the concert with Finale. Finale is the finishing piece of The Firebird and uses one french horn for the melody in a dynamic of piano. The whole orchestra soon joins in creating a hymn like choral. SKYY Spirits LLC entered the market for alcoholic beverages without having any difficulties, despite the fact that Absolut had established itself in the States for the past 13 years. The entrance of the SKYY Company was mostly due to the lack of entry market barriers from the Absolut Vodka. The SKYY Company was founded in 1992 by Maurice Kanbar in San Francisco, California and ever since then, both its popularity and the sales volumes have actually increased phenomenally . Nowadays, SKYY Spirits LLC is one of the fastest growing enterprises as their main product is high priced vodka of high quality. However, there is still the question of why and how the success of this company was brought. It offers the same products with Absolut, yet it had much more success and fame. The similarities of the two companies are quite striking. An example of that the flavors of vodka that can be found in both companies are berry, vanilla, citrus, orange, peach and melon. If we were to use Marketing terminology we could refer to it as the Me too product . If we take into consideration us, meaning the customer, it does not make any sense to buy a new and unknown vodka that offers the exact same flavors as Absolut. Neoliberalism has had its footprints marked in the sands of history. It has had it limits and it has had its advantages but all those depends on who is the subject we look at. Neoliberalism can be defined in a lot of different ways by scholars but the general definition of neoliberalism is the political term used for the theory whereby the economy is open to investors, and the free market is given priority. William divided his men into three groups roughly corresponding to origin. The left third was the Bretons, along with those from Anjou, Maine and Poitou. The right was made up by Frenchmen, along with some men from Picardy, Boulogne, and Flanders, with the centre third consisting of mainly Normans. William s plan was to use his many archers to weaken the frontlines and then charge. However, when his plan failed and his arrows bounced harmlessly off the Saxon shields, he ordered a charge. At his command, all three thirds charged towards the Saxon wall and engaged in battle almost instantaneously. Many Normans were injured in this clash, whereas most of the Saxons were well protected by their shield wall. During the predynastic period the Egyptians were not united, but as the Sahara desert expanded many people began moving their settlements around the Nile River. These settlements started coming together to form towns. As these towns progressed they developed many new ideas to help the society run smoother. However the total unification and start of the ancient Egyptian civilization did not happen, until Hierakonpolis expanded and conquered Naqada. The ancient Egyptian civilization was now created. Since this civilization was one of the first in the world, there was no structure to start with. In order to function as a thriving civilization, the Egyptians had to accomplish agricultural, architectural, medical, and educational advancements. This broadened peoples span of knowledge of religions, science and philosophy and shaped the world. When people got tired of it and found rituals unsatisfying, they turned to mystery religions. Civic religions were primarily concerned with rituals and did not embrace such matters as morality and redemption. People did not inspire deep religious feelings or satisfy spiritual yearning. • 43. Systematic Organization in Learning When you classify music in genres, terms such as Classical can be rather broad, and it can include both Classical time period (1750 1820) and pieces from the 19th to 21st century. For example, a piece written by J.S. Bach, can be classified as Classical, it is technically more suitably defined as being in the Baroque genre because it is different in terms of sound quality ,composition technique, instrumentation and arrangement. In conclusion, systematic organization of facts is not fruitful as arts are full of opinions and perspectives. It is difficult to systematize aspects of Arts that are based on personal Knowledge rather it is more subjectivity than propositional ways of knowing. Even if you can systematically organize things such as musical notes in music, the purpose of music is to communicate feelings and emotion, and this cannot be just done by reading the musical notes to play. The technique and intention of the performance included in it. Therefore system in Arts is not as necessary as it is in areas like Natural Science as Arts is not only based on facts which leads me to an argument such as whether or not it is always necessary for knowledge to be based on facts in order for that knowledge to be considered adequately justified.
