Essay On Business Ethics
Crafting an essay on the subject of business ethics presents a multifaceted challenge that goes
beyond the conventional essay-writing process. The intricacies of business ethics require a
delicate balance between theoretical frameworks and real-world applications, making it a topic
that demands comprehensive research and nuanced analysis.
Firstly, navigating the complex landscape of ethical considerations within the business realm
requires a thorough understanding of various ethical theories and how they intersect with
practical business scenarios. This involves delving into utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics,
and other ethical frameworks, and then applying these theories to real-life business dilemmas.
Furthermore, addressing the dynamic nature of business ethics necessitates staying abreast of the
latest developments in corporate governance, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and
global business practices. The evolving nature of these factors adds an extra layer of complexity
to the task, as writers must grapple with the ever-shifting ethical landscape.
Moreover, the essay on business ethics demands an exploration of case studies that exemplify
both ethical successes and failures in the business world. Analyzing these cases requires a keen
eye for detail and an ability to draw meaningful conclusions that contribute to the broader
discourse on ethical decision-making in business.
In essence, writing an essay on business ethics is not just about presenting information; it's about
critically evaluating, synthesizing, and contributing to an ongoing conversation. The writer must
be adept at weaving together theoretical frameworks, contemporary examples, and personal
insights to create a cohesive and compelling narrative.
For those facing the challenge of articulating a comprehensive essay on business ethics, it's
worth considering external resources for guidance. Services like HelpWriting.net can offer
valuable assistance in structuring and refining essays on complex topics, providing additional
support to those navigating the intricate landscape of business ethics and other challenging
subjects.

Everyone Need Social Justice
According to John F Kennedy, All of us do not have equal talent, but all of us
should have an equal opportunity to develop our talent. Social justice is access to all
things in our life, no matter our talents, our beliefs, morals and goals. According to
Google, social justice is justice in terms of terms of the distribution of wealth,
opportunities and privileges within a society. Everyone needs social justicein their life
because everyone should be treated equal because everyone is unique in their own
way. Not everyone is getting social justicein terms of education because of crumbling
school systems, low income and rising college costs.
First of all, rising college costs is one of the major causes for why people are not
getting equal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the Department Of Education, Members of low income families are
much less prepared for college than their higher income counterparts. For example,
among high school graduates in 1992, only 21 percent of those with family
incomes of less than $25,000 were highly qualified for admission at a four year
institution, and 20 percent were minimally qualified. For students with family
incomes above $75,000, 56 percent were highly qualified and 12 percent
minimally qualified (Department of Education). Even though this was 26 years
ago, the numbers are still rising. This is stating that the lower the family s income,
the less prepared their child is to enter college and the higher the family s income,
the more prepared their child is for college. According to the NY Times, One
reason for the growing gap in achievement, researchers say, could be that wealthy
parents invest more time and money than ever before in their children (in weekend
sports, ballet, music lessons, math tutors, and in overall involvement in their
children s schools), while lower income families, which are now more likely than
ever to be headed by a single parent, are increasingly stretched for time and resources
(Tavernise). This is stating that higher income families that are more involved in
their child s school, will be more prepared and get more education than
The Day Of The Aztec s Pyramids
A hot and blistering day, no clouds insight as the sun beams my face. So
excruciating, my face smells like burnt trash. As I am waiting for the bus to pass
by, there are several children playing on the swings across the street. The bus
arrives and off I go heading to a town known for Hope . As I arrive to the town of
Plateros. I marched like wild fire to the temple. The journey, not an easy journey
because I had to push and shove people out of the way just to get to the temple. It
seems if I was back in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Finally, as I stand at the
front gates which happens to be massive? So massive they appeared to be touching
the sky. I strolled through the gate and notice all the stairs just to get to the top. I
remember the time of the Aztec s pyramids where they would do human sacrifices
for their Gods. As I make my way up the stairs like a captive. Once at the top of the
stairs I stood this beautiful temple and what caught my eye was the outer structure.
First, the outside temple s architecture features many things. For example, a half
shaped golden sphere, which sat in the center of the temple. It was made of several
rectangle parts put together like a jigsaw puzzle to form a pregnant woman belly.
The gold dome was elegant and shiny. So bright that Japan residents are blind by the
glow. Next, the temple s stone and marble combination were brilliant together. The
stone wall a pale pink with a smooth texture like a baby s bottom. The caramel
Jesus Ministry On Jesus And His Disciples
4. Commentary.
8:27.While Mark has been clearly focusing on Jesus ministry in Galilee where his
authority was exhibited in his teaching and the miraculous, he now transits by
altering his scene of action from Galilee to the the way to Jerusalem via Caesarea
Philippi. The construction Jesus and his disciples is not frequently employed by the
author especially when reporting on Jesus journeying episodes. Often times he
renders the verbal form in singular when referring to Jesus alone or the third person
plural they for both Jesus and his disciples . This pointing is significant for it marks
a turning point on what is to follow. This path is exclusively Jesus as it will climax
with Jesus alone at the cross when all his disciples will have deserted him.
With his disciples, he journeys into the Caesarea Philippi. This is significant
geographical shift for most of Jesus ministry had been in Galilee. He now goes north
east of Bethsaida, into a popularly Hellenistic city. At the territorial border exiting
into non Jewish territory. It is a city that was built by Philip and named after Roman
emperor and Herod Antipas s brother Philip. It had long been a center of Pagan
worship and prominently a site for emperor worship . Importantly it was a city for
political rulers. The significance of Jesus choice to visit this city has been highly
disputed by various scholars. Stain argues that, this geographical designation must be
a historical reminiscence since there is no known
The Psychological Theories Of Alcohol Dependence, Social...
Newspaper headlines and public heath reports continually remind us that many abuse
alcohol. Despite its many associated consequences, such as: increased hospital
admissions, deaths, road accidents and assaults; alcohol dependence remains a
prominent issue in today s society. But what causes alcohol dependence? This essay
will critically discuss and compare two psychological theories of alcohol dependence,
social learning theory and alcohol expectancy theory.
Bandura s Social Learning Theory and Its Application to Alcohol Dependency
Social learning theory is the cumulative works of many psychologists and
sociologists, the most influential of these, was Bandura (1969, 1977 and 1986)
whose works were the first to combine the principles of cognitive psychology and
those of behavioural learning (the two prominent theories of the time). Bandura s
(1969, 1977 and 1986) social learning theory contained four major constructs:
differential reinforcement (differing consequences for a specific behaviour dependent
on the social context and situation), vicarious learning (acquiring new behaviours by
observing said behaviours being reinforced in others or through communication),
cognitive processes (the belief that cognitive processes such as information retrieval,
encoding and organizing, regulate behaviour) and triadic reciprocity (a principle that
says, the environment, cognitions and behaviour all mutually influence each other).
Bandura applied the early versions of these constructs
The Best Year Of My Life
The year was 1852, the best year of my life, when I met her, but first let me start
from the beginning. First of all I am Edwin, hi. At the time of 1852 I was twelve
years old, living in Victorian England, with my family. My family consisted of my
father, mother, and I. We were very poor and trying to survive, so my father
worked in the coal mine, my mom worked in a factory, and I worked as a chimney
sweeper. Since I was twelve it was my last year as a chimney sweeper, since I was
outgrowing the chimneys. This was a good thing, but very bad at the same time. It
was good because being a chimney sweeper was hard work, but it will be much
harder to provide money for my family. Well, enough about me let s get into the
story. It all started on September 18, 1852. I said goodbye to my parents before I
left for work. When I got to work I was assigned a chimney to sweep. When I got
there I went right to work of cleaning out the soot and ashes from the chimney.
While Carl was holding the rope as I was in the chimney his hands slip, at least that
s what he says. Carl never really liked me much, he has worked for the Master Sweep
for fourteen years. He is just always in a bad mood around me. Aaaahhh! I
exclaimed while falling down the seven foot chimney, landing on my knees with a
loud crash . Ouch, that hurt like being stung on the bottom by a bee, I said to myself.
Oh my are you okay? Asked a nice girl. Ya I will live, I replied. When I looked up I

Qajar Empire Essay
The Qajar empire, brought to power under Agha Mohammad Khan, became, and
maintained its position as a major ruling strength in Persia between the years of 1795
and 1925. With the death of the final Zand dynasty ruler, Moḥammad Karīm
KhДЃn Zand, in 1779, Agha Mohammad Khan worked to unite the rest of the Qajar
empire under him began to take his rise to power. This Turkmen group, ancestrally
from present day Azerbaijan, and it s leader set out to reunify Iranunder their rule,
leaving a legacy that would live out the extent of the empire and find its way into
modern day history books. The experiences, strength, drive, and ruthlessness of
Agha Mohammad Khan aided to secure his long sought rise to power as the
undisputed Shah of Persia in the 1790 s, and set the stage for one of the longest
lasting empires in modern day Iran.
Agha Mohammad Khan was a descendent of the ancestors of the Qajars, Fath Ali
Khan of the Qajar Dynasty, and Fazl Ali Khan founder of the Qajar Qoyunlu Khans.
Fath Ali Khan was executed by Ṭahmāsb II of the Ṣafawiyyān house and
was thus succeeded in power by his eldest son Mohammad Hasan Khan.
Moḥammad Ḥasan Khan, chief of the Qavānlū (Qoyunlū) clan of the Qajars
of AstarДЃbДЃd fathered his eldest son, Agha Mohammad Khan, later Shah of the
Qajar Dynasty, born in about 1742.
In the early years of Agha Mohammad Khan s life he was kept hidden among a
commoner family. His father did not want Nader Shah of the ruling Afsharid Dynasty

The game of soccer is often called the world s game and the greatest sport ever to
be played. Here in America, soccer is the nation s game and only popular when one
of the national teams is playing in the World Cup or Olympics. While the sport is
gaining popularity, Americans would rather play and watch footballand baseball. The
slower paced, timeout centered sports such as football and baseball give teams
moments to regroup. In soccer there are hardly any pauses in a forty five minute half
where a team can have a few moments to take a breath before continuing play. A
corner kick is one of the ways of restarting play in the game of soccer and
regrouping as a team. When the ball is played out of bounds and last touched by a
defending player, the attacking team is awarded with a corner kick. This brief
pause in the game allows the attacking team to regroup and an opportunity for them
to score a goal. A corner kick is taken from the nearest corner of the field where the
ball exited. The soccer ball is placed inside the arc, where the goal line and sideline
intersect. The attacking player kicks the soccer ball towards the group of attackers
and defenders that are swarmed around the goal. This is the optimal goal scoring
opportunity for the attack team. By placing the ball in the right place, the attacking
team has the opportunity to score. Proper mechanics of a
Sophocles The Golden Age
Sophocles was born about 496 BC in Colonus Hippius which is now a part of
Athens, Greece, he was to become one of the great playwrights of the golden age.
Sophocles was the son of Laius and Jocasta, both wealthy in the city that Sophocles
grew up in. Luckily, He was the son of a wealthy merchant, he would enjoy all the
perks of a successful Greek empire. Sophocleswas provided with the best education
which would help him in many ways in the future of his life. He studied the arts.
By sixteen, he was already known around the city for his contribution to lead a
choir of boys at a celebration of the victory of Salamis in a battle they had been
fighting. Years later, he defeated Aeschylus, who was known to be a play writer also
dealing with tragedies and other various kinds of plays that he wrote in his time.
In 441 BC Sophocles was beaten in an Athenian play competition by Euripides.
From 468 BC, however, Sophocles won many awards for his dramas and was
noticed for his playwriting mind. Sadly, Sophocles life ended near 406 BC at about
the age of 90 which was about the time Athens was in the golden age of plays and
writings. Although, Sophocles wasn t in politics or militarily, he was still elected
twice to be in high military office. People would remember his contribution to the
city and what he has done to change the way of the theatre.
Sophocles wrote more than 100 plays of which seven complete tragedies and
fragments of 80 or 90 others are preserved. He was the first to

Advantages Of Direct Democracy
Direct Democracy There is a lot of controversy over which government is the best,
and honestly I don t think there really is a best form of government but I believe
there that some are better than others. Direct Democracy definitely has its flaws, it
is the best option open to us at this time. It gives the people the power to get what
they want. America is already a form of Democracy, it s a Representative Democracy.
So direct Democracyis not too far fetched.
Direct democracy, also known as pure democracy, is where the people vote to on or
form consensus on policy initiatives directly. The word democracy literally means
rule by the people . The United States today is a representative democracy. Which is
a democracy in which the people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From 1995 to 2005 swiss citizens voted over 30 different times, while the french
citizens only voted twice. In direct democracies the citizens have most of the power.
We want rights, freedom, and equality. But we also need some sort of structure. As
people we need a say in how we live our lives but we cannot just do as we please.
We can t have the government gaining too much power but we need to still be
controlled. Harmony in all aspects is what we are sought after, we want and need
a balance. Direct democracy is a way to get citizens involved and united. It helps
keep the government transparent, you cannot make promises to the people and
then not keep them because you run the risk of the people removing you from
power. It holds everyone accountable, the officials to do what they promised and to
fix the problems within society and the people to keep their government going in
the right direction. The individual is foolish, the species is wise. (Burke). Together
we are better. There are also some pros to having a direct democracy, when the
people want to see change, they appeal and they vote. Which would truly be a
government for the people, by the people , protecting our interests. There is a checks
and balances system that makes sure the power gets distributed. Democracy also
promotes equality, allows for change, doesn t put too much power in the hands
The Manuscript, Copyist And Ink And Page Setting
The following analyses present the findings of a multi perspective codicological
analysis of the examined manuscript, such as provenance of the manuscript, copyist
/scribe and ink and page setting.
Provenance of the manuscript
The manuscript is of a relatively significant size. It consists of 114 paired (dual)
folios and one single page folio at the end. Since this author uses a scanned image of
the codex, it is difficult to suggest its length and breadth. There are two flyleaves, a
paired one attached to the front cover and a single one attached to the back cover
page. The scanned image does not show the front cover page. The cover pages seem
to be made of hard cardboard covered with dark brown or light black fabric. In the
middle of the back cover, there is a washed out geometrical shape of a mihrДЃb and a
two hardly readable lines of Latin letters. They are not hand crafted. Rather they
appear to be the original factory mark. The geometrical shape of a mihrДЃb is a
coincidental design as it is not meant to bear any religious symbolism. Equally, the
Latin letters do not have any relevance to the manuscript. Therefore, the scribe seems
to have randomly used the cover to protect the codex.
The scribe uses two different types of ordinary paper, produced in a modern
stationery factory. For instance, for folios 1 19 and 43 202, he uses papers with 20
horizontal lines; and for folios 20 42 and 203 218, he uses papers with quadratic
graphs. Two hand stitched white cotton threads,
Chicago Antiquated Process
1.Overview
With one of the largest city governments in the United States, the City of Chicago
touches the lives of a lot of people. The city provides residents with services ranging
from basic sanitation, health and human services to major public works projects and
infrastructure. In 2013, the city decided it wanted to improve the way it does business
and change the way it interacts with residents. The city needed a holistic way to bring
its antiquated process and communications into the digital age. A great many of the
city processes still operated on paper, with little or no cross departmental integration.

Utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Online features of Office 365, the city was able to
automate and streamline a great number of business processes. In many areas, the
city was still using a paper process to conduct business with residents and
contractors. The antiquated processes are slow, expensive and prone to human
error. The city wanted to improve not only its own efficiency, however overall
customer service to the residents of Chicago. Over the last decade, the consumer
experience has changed, says Berman, (2016) People are now used to doing their
banking online at any hour and ordering products from the comfort of their home.
They ve also come to expect 24 hour service from their government, which
challenges us to find different ways to tailor our services to them . (2016)
A great example of Office 365 enhanced process automation is with the Chicago
Department of Finance. Until its move to Office 365, the City Department of
Transportation paid all of its contractors through a paper process. The amount of
overhead involved with the processing and storage of the paper documentation
alone was staggering. Moving the workload to the cloud removed paper almost
completely from the process; greatly improving speed and accuracy. Each project s
paperwork could fill up 50 boxes, creating a storage issue , says Mohammed Pakshir,
Manager of Transportation.
Evaluating The Reading Process Is Essential Because One...
When children learn to read, the process can appear to be straightforward. We tend
to view reading as a typical learning process that all children learn and can do with
ease since it appears that everyone learns to read in elementary school. However,
when evaluating the reading process, it becomes complex with specific skills that
must be learned in a systematic organized method. The systematic part is essential
because one skill set builds upon the other. These systematic organized parts of
readingare divided into what is known as the Big 5. Reutzel and Cooter educates the
reader that, ?the following aspects of literacy have been documented as an

When trying to decide on instruction for literacy in elementary school, there are a lot
of reading programs and materials available, however they should contain Phonemic
awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension as key components. At
the elementary level, three observations were observed through the concepts of
phonemic awareness, phonics and comprehension to determine how this instruction
is provided to the students. In addition, an interview was conducted with a veteran
teacher in Kindergarten to gather her insight into the beginning stages of the reading
process. All

Composite Essay
1.1 Definition
The terminology composites extensively advert to a material system composed of the
following:
A discrete constituent ( reinforcement)
A continuous phase(Matrix).
Thus, generally a composite can be termed as a material composed of a discrete
constituent distributed in a continuous phase and derives its distinguishing
characteristics form the properties of the constituents , from the spatial shape and the
design of the constituents, and from the properties of the interfaces between different
constituents.
1.2 Classification Composites on the basis of the physical or chemical nature of the
matrix phase are usually classified as:
Metal Matrix Composites (MMC s)
Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC s)
Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC s)

Oil resources are the focal point of almost all international disputes in the present
century as every country needs oil to power its electrical grids, run its automobiles,

unstable Middle East, whose countries form most of OPEC and have a viable
monopoly on oil production and pricing. The troubles caused by this situation thus
come to no surprise as high demand and monopolistic supply give omnipotent control
to the supplier.

Westhoelter s Arguments Against Abortion
50% of Americans call abortion morally wrong, while 39% call it morally
acceptable. Only half of the United States thinks that abortion is wrong and over a
quarter of it thinks it is acceptable in this culture. We are battling wether we should
let a child live or not. The correct option is obvious and that is to let the child live.
There are many reasons to why this is the right option. Killing our own kind is not
right, people today have been exposed to the wrong things. Abortion should be
illegal because it is murder, it goes against God s word, and there are alternate
options for the baby. Abortion should be illegal because it is murder. Abortion not

These organizations will help the mother and show that she is not alone. They
want what is best for the child and the mother. These people at the organizations
will help the mother and be by her side the whole time. These organizations will
give the mother the proper care and tools. If the mother can t care for the child by
themselves they are people that can help. As for Campos Duffy s claim that
upwards of 90 percent of women seeking an abortion decide not to have one after
seeing an ultrasound (Kertscher). Once the mother sees the baby and sees the
future for it she will give the baby a chance to live. Abortion should be illegal
because it is murder, it goes against God s word, and there are alternate options for
the baby. God has planned every little thing out and has a reason for things to
happen. God knew everyone before birth and he already had a plan for everyone.
Today society has many things mixed up and one of them is abortion. There
should not be a battle in choosing wether to let a child live or not. There are many
options for the child and for their future. The jobs as followers of Christ is to
spread the word and be a light to others. This includes helping others make a life or
death decision for a child. Doing this will help people realize that God created
everything and everyone and it is not my choice but
A Book Review Of Killer Angels

Book Review: Killer Angels
The novel Killer Angels by Michael Shaara portrays the battle of Gettysburg in all
of its glory from the perspective of both the Union and the Confederate soldiers. He
told the story of the battle day by day, switching from General to General, and
showing an immense amount of insight and research to how things most likely
occurred during the heat of battle in July of 1863. Not only did Shaara display
various viewpoints of the battle, he did it in a convincing style.
Killer Angels was written not as a work of non fiction but rather as a historical
fiction, in which literary license and research was used to put the reader into the
mind of all of the main leaders of the Battle of Gettysburg. At the time of the
publishing of this novel, Shaara s idea of humanizing all of the leaders was ... Show

For example, on the Confederate side, he shows how an ailing and weary Robert E.
Lee has pinned his hopes to end the war on the idea of attacking and destroying the
Union army on it s own ground. Shaara depicted Lee s top general, James Longstreet,
as being against the invasion because he believed the South s military success had
come from a defensive style of warfare. This idea that Longstreet was apprehensive
about the attack is an interesting perspective that deepens the struggle of Lee in the
battle. As they advance into Pennsylvania, Shaara ties his new idea together with the

At the root of Arab culture is a religious, highly masculine, high context, polychronic
atmosphere that affects all things from what is done on a daily basis to what is
watched in movies and listened to on the radio.
MTV Arabia will experience the following issues with Arab culture: MTVs own
international culture is one that is quite western. Arabs do not simply classify
western as American Western is west of Arabia, including Europe in addition to
America. For this reason MTV will need to reshape its cultural appeal and, as it has
already done, include a vast majority of strictly Arab shows rather than European
or American shows. MTV Arabia will need to match the Arab culture in its
personal approach and need to reach the people where they are. They will not
simply flock to the channel. Going to schools and shopping centers to raise
awareness is huge. Due to the level of personal focus of the Arab people, MTV will
also need to include itself in social programs and focusing on social problems.
Several expected to pose a challenge to MTV, which included:
1. Middle Easterners did not like Americans and Invasion of Iraq
2. Music is difference between Middle East and Western
3. Over 50 competing local music channels
4. Challenges of content
5. 65% population is youth
6. Adapt and modify content of sexually explicit and provocative programmes

A Bug s Life Through The Lens Of Karl Marx
A Bug s Life Through the Lens of Karl Marx
A Bug s Life through the lens of Karl Marx
Disney s Pixar film, A Bug s Life, is much more than meets the eye. The film is not
only an animated comedy; it holds deep sociological theory within its plot. Many of
the major themes and concepts of the movie can be viewed through the lens of the
famous theorist Karl Marx. Marx s theory is famous for focusing on how society
functions. In particular he concerns himself with how capitalism, the working class,
and the revolutions create problems in our society. My paper will analyze how
Marxian theory and concepts fit into major climactic scenes of the film.
The film revolves around the protagonist Filk, a worker ant. The colony is being
oppressed by a group of grasshoppers and their leader Hopper. The grasshoppers
claim they will provide protection as long as the ants provide the food supply.
When the ants cannot supply the food for the grasshoppers, Hopper demands the
ants to produce twice as much food as they did before. As a result, the ants will not
have enough food to store up for themselves. Filk then travels to recruit warrior bugs
to help the ants fight off the grasshoppers. According to Marx, this would free the
colony from the constant oppression of the grasshoppers.
The major themes of the movie follow Marxian theory. The first relates to Hopper
and how the grasshoppers abuse their power and exploit the ant colony. The
grasshoppers expect food knowing that the ants cannot
How Does Holden Grow Up In Catcher In The Rye
Growing up can be scary for anyone. Some kids handle it better than others. Holden
Caulfield, the main character in J.D salinger s book The Catcher in the Rye has a
difficult time handling responsibilities and adult situations. Holden is afraid to
grow up because he does not want to abandon his childish ways and start handling
responsibilities as an adult. He is also a troubled 16 year old kid who tries to
escape his problems instead of solving them. In the beginning, it was clear right
away that Holden seemed to run away from his problems. In chapter 1 Holden says
he was being kicked out of Pencey Prep, which is the school that he attended in
Agerstown, Pennsylvania. He was flunking most of his classes which got him
kicked out of the school. Then in chapter 8 Holden leaves Pencey in the middle of
the night because he felt lonely and could not handle the phony people. Holden s
idea was that he would stay in a hotel in New York, where he lived until his parents
found out that he was kicked out of school. As a result of Holden being kicked out,
he felt that his parents would be upset with him, considering that this... Show more

Some of the strengths of Divergent are that every chapter has action, there s
always something exiting going on in the book, Tris is always doing something
fun or exiting. Tris climbs the Ferris wheel, she s the first jumper in initiation, Tris
zip lines off of a one hundred story building. Some of the weaknesses are that
sometimes in between all the excitement and action are some parts that are a little
boring or unnecessary. In one of the chapters, Tris comes out of the shower
/bathroom and Peter, Drew, and Molly where in the dormitory and Tris goes to her
bunk to get different clothes and they go on either side of her. Tris goes under
Peters arm and Peter grabs her towel and Tris runs out of the dormitory into the
shower/bathroom naked. The author is Veronica Roth and the genre of this book
is science fiction. I hope I encouraged you to read Divergent if you haven t already.
I would recommend this book because there is a lot of action and excitement. Tris
jumps off a building, zip lines of a one hundred story building, and stops Jeanine s
plan to take over the government. She goes from being ranked almost last to being
ranked first. Tris overcomes her fears and the dauntless leaders don t find out that s

How Did The Market Revolution Affect The Middle Class
Every facet in the way of life was affected by the Market Revolution, stopped the
made social order that continually existed throughout decades. The market revolution
created a social order in which members were seemingly able to escalate socially.
The upper class did not change in any matter although the middle class increased
heavily.
Accelerated movements were mainly enhanced in commercialization,
industrialization and transportation which generated the market revolution.
Compromise was made by merchants in the business community of the northern area
and often acquired great wealth. Disputes between 1807 1815 rattled the United States
trade with Europe, merchants predominantly invested in companies enriched by the
government banks. However, the cotton which was made ... Show more content on

of the new middle class. Many families altered their life styles under the heavily

made its way out from households, family and work matters grew distant from one

the management of their homes and to which provided a safe environment for their

The Australian Music Scene Of Australia
The Australian Music Scene is on of the best and is growing. Even though it is far

Touring in a band is a really good way to get known in different areas and not just
your local pub. Touring locally would be best for trying to get your name out there
and gaining fans. Touring around Australia would be appropriate for when you
have quite a lot of fans over Australia. There is no point booking a tour if no one
will show up. You will lose a lot of money. Touring overseas will cost a lot more
than around Australia and is good for when you are known across different countries.
This would take a while to get to this status and would be best to use an agent for
overseas bookings and accommodation.
Artist managers are important for bands. They do many things for the band to help
them; they take care of the business side of things like contacting record companies.
The manager makes sure that everyone involved in the band is doing their job. The
manager might be on the phone with a record label asking about advertising
campaigns or on the phone with an agent discussing upcoming gigs.
Tour managers make sure that tours go smoothly. They manage the tour finances,
deal with ticketing agencies and making sure everyone on tour is on task. They
basically manage the people who are on tour. In bigger bands the role of a Tour
Manager might be split into three or four people.

Gender Fairness And Gender Equality In The Workplace
kforce no longer a contested issue for some modern societies like some developed
and developing countries. However, in some undeveloped countries or traditional
places, stereotyping still exists, there are some thoughts are still connecting with
women, they think that women s bourgeois is to give birth to babies and to perform
household chores while men act as bread earners. There is a Chinese saying
describing men count the workplace as their homeand women count their home as
their workplace. Men are here to fight for their career desperately but women count
their home as their lifelong workplace. It is hard to refresh the thinking of people
about women enter the workforce because they have been brainwashed for their
entire lifetime. It would be better to give education on new generations to interpret
the theme of gender fairness and anti gender discrimination. This should be the
most feasible way to change the thoughts on women s abilities alike men and stop
stereotype on women. However, it seems that some developed and developing
countries are likely and willing to solve the problems of women s entry to
workforce, in the surface part of it, it really shows that modern societies are willing
women to enter the workforce but according to Shirley Chisholm the first African
American congresswoman, she has pointed out that in America, women has only
occupied 2% of managerial positions while for the remaining 98% of the managerial
position are occupied by men. (Chisholm, 1969)
Comcast Packet Forgery
Comcast Packet Forgery case in 2007 explains how network neutrality received
public visibility. In May 2007, Comcast installed a new software/tool on its networks
which conveniently and selectively interfered with some of Comcast customers TCP
/IP connections. A Comcast subscriber Robb Topolski ran a tool called a packet
sniffer which was used to seed files on BitTorrent and discovered that unexpected
TCP RST packets were causing inbound connections to his computerto die. Based on
his observations, he speculated that Comcast may have been responsible for this
interference. Computers use TCP as a standard protocol to exchange information on
the Internet. When a computer receives TCP packets which it believes it should not
have received or when it thinks it has closed a connection but keeps... Show more

In many cases, the surge of forged RST packets will cause software to fail in its
attempts to do something a user asks of it. For instance, a BitTorrent client
elsewhere on the Internet may fail in downloading a rare document that is available
as a BitTorrent seed from a Comcast user. In the case of a typical Gnutella node, RST
forgery will destroy the node s ability to discover and establish proper
communications with other parts of the Gnutella network. Gnutella connections are
generally started in either direction: Comcast user connects outwards, or other
Gnutella nodes connect inwards. In both of these examples, Comcast s packet forgery
prevents the transfer of data rather than delaying it. Hence, the characterization of
Comcast s packet forgery as delaying certain traffic is only true under special
conditions, and is definitely not true in general. According to the white paper two
conditions that maybe considered

Kansas City Jazz Research Paper
Jazz is a musical genre that originated from the African American communities of
New Orleans, United States. It had evolved from roots in blues and ragtime. Since
the 1920s, it has become recognized as a major form for musical expression. As it
spread around the world, many different cultures contributed their own experiences
and art styles to the art form. It has been hailed all around the world as one of
America s original art forms . Over time, Jazzevolved in many different ways. Jazz is
very different from other genres of music. It utilizes swing, blue notes, polyrhythms,
and improvisation. In swing, the pulse is divided unequally. Subdivisions alternate
between long and short durations. A blue note is a note that is sung or played at a
marginally different pitch than usual. Polyrhythms are two or more conflicting
rhythms such as triplets and duplets. Jazz had evolved from bluesand ragtime. Blues
is a musical genre that often describes a depressed mood, and ragtime is another
musical genre that is best known for its syncopated or ragged , rhythm. It became
clear to musicians and composers that every note that was played did not have to be
in tempo with the cadence. This made jazz become more expressive.... Show more

Alcatraz is located off the shore of the San Francisco Bay. Alcatraz was a federal
prison from 1934 1963. This federal prison house some of the most dangerous and

used as a military prison. Many believed this was the perfect place to have a prison
due to the fact that no inmater would be able to successfully escape by swimming,
because of the cold, rigid, shark infested waters. In 1963 the prison shut down due to
the operating expenses.
In 1775 a spanish explorer who name was Juan Manuel de Ayala mapped and

Chinese Immigration Railroads
The railroads had a unique opportunity to shape settlement in the region. To build the
railroad Americans chose Chinese immigrants because these people were a hard
worker and building the railroad was a hard job. During the gilded age, each year
almost a million southern and eastern immigrants came in to the united statesand
crowded in to cities specially in New York, Boston, Chicago, and, Philadelphia.
Americans stated that these immigrants are poor and could not learn English. The
fact that these immigrants were Jewish, orthodox or catholic, made protestant
Americans dislike these new immigrants. Also, Americans had a unique hatred for
the new Chinese immigrants who worked long hours of labor for low ages. At that

your analysis of the cause of the current backlog? The current backlog is caused by
the increasing demand for MRI scans in Adelaide County, the inconsistent capacity
of the MRI machine, the sole MR technologist and the inefficient scheduling
process. Obviously there is a much higher demand of scans that the limited
capacity of the MRI machine and the only one MR technologist can complete. The
rated capacity of the MRI machine was two patients per hour but the actual
number of scans in any period of time depended on the types of exams being
performed. A typical exam takes from 30 45 minutes although some exams could
be completed in 10 minutes. 25% of the scans usually require a contrast (more
detailed image) which is projected to take 15 extra minutes on average. However,
the biggest cause of the current backlog is still the inefficient scheduling: only 8

The Thematic Narration Of The Shark
The thematic narration of the shark theme can be expressed as variation which
corresponds to the character development of the shark itself. The theme is
recurrence throughout the film and has onset and cessation every time the theme is
being played. The purpose of the theme serves to acknowledge the presence of the
shark even if we can see it on the screen. It always played after the camera focus
underneath or the camera focus on the moving objects above the water. There are
several scenes in the filmthat used the shark theme. First scene that used the theme is
during the opening credits. The point of view of the camera in this scene is the point
of view of the shark. The shark swims quietly through the coral underwater

The theme is used only when the camera focus on Chrissie. The theme becomes
neutral every time the camera is focusing on Tom. The purpose of the way the
theme song behaves is to narrate Chrissie who is being attacked by the shark. Each
high notes in the music corresponds to each attack on Chrissie. In terms of
character development of the shark, at this point the shark only attacks a girl who
was swimming alone. In the next scene, the shark character develops to become
more aggressive when it attacks a boy in crowded. The way the camera shows the
shark is approaching same as the shark attack on Chrissie. The onset of the theme is
when the shark approaching the boy from underneath and the theme stopped for a
moment when the boy can no longer being seen. It continues again when everyone

Summary and Justification: Qatar is the largest global supplier of helium. On June 5,
2017, Qatar made an unexpected move to cut down the global supply by 30 percent.
Further, the government has threatened to inflate the cost of instruments used for
scientific and engineering purposes as reported in the Chemical and Engineering

some helium consumers with advanced recycling equipment. The move by Qatar was
political. Recently, the country was accused of supporting and funding Islamic

The Basketball Association And The Nba
The National Basketball Association, or the NBA, is a men s professional
basketball league in the USA. The National Basketball Association was born in
1949 after the Basketball Association of America and the National Basketball
League merged as one. Maurice Podoloff was elected head of the new league that
consisted of seventeen teams which came from cities and towns all across the
country. The NBA did not have a great start with its teams dwindling to only eight
teams in the 1950s. At this point, the league transformed the game with the
addition of the shot clock. The shot clock in the NBA is 24 seconds, meaning the
offensive team has 24 seconds from the time they inbound the ball until the ball
hits the rim on their side of the court. This addition increased the pace of the game
and made it more fun for fans to watch. Their transformation worked, and the
league returned to a financially stable one in the 1960/70s. Today, the NBA has
millions of fans from all walks of life, all over the world. The league now consists
of 30 teams from various states in North America as well as one team from Canada.
The teams are divided into two conferences and then three divisions of five teams
each. To play the sport of basketballthere are players; five on the court at a time,
coaches, a basketball, two hoops, high top shoes to protect player s ankles, and a
court with specific lines painted out to represent boundaries.
As a league, the NBA makes roughly 5.18 billion dollars
The Effect Of Velocity On A Flat Plate Boundary Layer
Introduction: The purpose of this experiment was to measure the magnitude of
velocity in a flat plate boundary layer in which the pressure was constant. A pitot tube
located at the top of the test section that was used to determine the total pressure
across the boundary layer. The Pitot tube needed to be able to more along both
horizontal and vertical directions for accurate measurements. Five different tubes,
aligned along the x axis, were placed under the wind tunnel test section to measure the
static pressure. The result of both the static and total pressures is the dynamic
pressure.
Theory:
The boundary layer is defined as a thin layer of any fluid adjacent to the solid
surface it surrounds. The characteristics of a boundary layer are basically what
define the effects of viscosity. The velocity of the boundary layer starts from a value
of zero at the solid surface and increases until it reaches a maximum which happens
to be the free stream velocity. In other words, theoretically speaking the boundary
layer is infinite, but for measurement purposes the boundary layers ends where the
velocity gradient is 99% of the free stream velocity. The Reynolds number, a unit less
ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces, is used to identify the several inner layers
of the boundary layer. Furthermore, as previously mentioned when a body parallel
to the flow, such as a flat plate, is placed in the parallel direction of a free stream
flow, a boundary layer is formed. At the
Frederick Douglass Research Papers
In The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass by Frederick Douglassthere are
many accounts of slaves being cruelly beaten by their slave owners. This book is
hard to read as a result of descriptions of torturous slave owners. Frederick Douglass
shows that Christian slave owners were just as cruel as non Christianslave owners
though they use the bible to defend their actions. Douglass describes that some of
his slave owners claimed to be Christians. Captain Thomas Auld was one of these
men. Auld was a cruel man he once tied up a young slave girl named Henny and
whipped her until she bled out and died. He used this passage of scripture to justify
his actions, He that knoweth his master s will, and doeth it not, shall be beaten with

Covey. Mr. Covey was titled as a slave breaker which is a person who makes slaves
obey or suffer the consequences. He would whip slaves viciously then hold church
services where he would make Douglass lead hymns. He also hired a married man
named Samuel Harrison to commit adultery with one of his slave women to obtain
children who would later become Covey s slaves. If he knew anything about the
Bible he would know how sinful this was. Non Christian slave owners where just
as cruel and unjust as Christian slave owners. One of these men as described by
Douglass was a man named Captain Anthony. Douglass describes a horrific
experience involving his Aunt Hester. Anthony would take Hester during the night
and whipped her until her body was covered in blood. Douglass states, The harder
she screamed the harder he whipped. This is an example of Anthony s extreme
barbarity. Austin Gore was a non Christian overseer of Douglass and his fellow
slaves. Gore was a harsh man. One day as he whipped a slave named Demby,
Demby ran into a lake to cool off his wounds. In return Mr. Gore took hold of his
rifle and ordered Demby to retreat from the lake on the count of three or he would
shoot him. Before speaking the count of three, Gore aimed his rifle at the slaves head
and shot leaving scattered remains in the water. The other slaves did nothing for fear
the same would happen to

1 Relational Database management system
A relational database management system is based many of the databases system
based on relational database model.
A relational database s use is organizing large amounts of data. Relationships database
define the relationship between two points of tables and these database systems are
linked by defining that relationship. Database is a well maintained collection of
data. The data are arranged to model particular part of reality in a way that supports
process requiring information, such as availability and modelling of rooms in hotels

DISADVANTAGES
1. Implementation: A important and useful restriction and therefore disadvantage in
the use of relational database because it can increase system machine performance.
2. inactive extraction of meaning from data: if the data is normally organized in a
hierarchical the hierarchical may give efficient meaning for that data.
3. Data complication: Data in occupy in many tables, which are connect to each
other through s key value. An RDBMS does not force database designer to impose a
coherent table.
2 Object oriented database management system, database management system in
which all the collected information about data can be represents in the form of object
and this used in object oriented programming. Object databases are unlike from
relational databases which are table oriented.

Why People Join Cults Analysis
Groups such as the Masons, the Church of Scientology, and political parties can be
considered cults that share different ideologies. In addition, cults have the ability to
influence society in terms of changing an individual s perspective on certain things.
Furthermore, people seem to show a strong interest in the mysteries behind cults
despite the dangerous aspect of joining a cult. Over the years, the number of
individuals joining cults has increased. To understand this a bit more, Dr. Adrian
Furnham wrote an article on Psychology Today titled Why Do People Join Cults? In
the article, Dr. Furnham argues the motives behind joining a cult, the different
characteristics of a cult, and the misconceptions that individuals have in their initial
encounter with a cult.
Dr. Furnham analyses the reasons why individuals join cults. In his initial assessment,
he argues that certain benefits that cults can offer such as connections, an identity,
and a chance to contribute. Throughout his article, Dr. Furnham questions if the
motives are similar to groups such as Al Qaeda, Hamas, or the Order of the Solar
Temple He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Next, these cults attempt to maintain psychological and physical dependence on their
members through mind controlling tactics. Dr. Furnham argues that members are
taught to remove both individualistic and critical thinking similar to how the army
breaks and rebuilds soldiers. He goes as far as to assert that the mind control
techniques are no different than those of the army, religions, prisons, or
organizations. (Furnham, 2014) As a consequence, many members are constantly
being exploited by the organization in order to achieve the goals of the leader.
Ultimately, these groups will use physical and psychological harm, to hurt members,
families, friends, and the community. ( Furnham,

The Empire Of The Persian Empire
Achaemenid Persia was one of the first and the greatest empires of the Fertile
Crescent and beyond, as such, they would come into contact with diverse groups
of people, one of which is the Jews of Judea. The Persian Empire is one of the few
empires depicted in the Tanach, or Hebrew Bible, as favorable. This being so, it can
still be difficult to assert who the Persians, their kings, and their land were in the eyes
of the Jews. The stories and depictions of the kings and land do not always agree
on the matter and differ on how much detail is given. Persians during the time they
ruled Judea have few records of who the Jews were and what they did in the borders
of the empire. From what is found, it is still possible to gleam whom the Jews and
their land were in the eyes of the kings of Persia.
The depiction of Persia, namely that of the Achaemenid dynasty, has largely been
favorable in the Tanach. They are presented in the Books of Esther, Daniel, Ezra
/Nehemiah, Chronicles, and Isaiah as agents of G d to preserve the nation of
Israel. Yet despite on this commonality they differ on the details. The Book of
Esther tells the story of a Jewish girl named Esther and the possibility of the genocide
of the Jews. The Book of Daniel tells the story of the rise to power of the Medes and
Persians against the Babylonians. The Book of Ezra/Nehemiah tells of how Cyrus the
Great was benevolent and permitted the Jews to return to the Land of Israel to rebuild
their destroyed temple. The Book

Great Gatsbywhich is about this time period. Many other novels written by
Fitzgerald were also based on his own life experiences. F. Scott Fitzgeraldwas born on
September 24, 1896 in St. Paul, Minnesota. His parents, Edward and Mary
Fitzgerald, named him after Francis Scott Key. Francis was his second cousin who
wrote the Star Spangled Banner. His mother Mary was from an Irish Catholic
family and worked as a wholesale grocer. His father Edward worked many jobs but
failed to succeed at a job. They moved many times between Minnesota and Upstate
New York, finally moving back to St. Paul when he was 12. (bio.com).... Show more

the school newspaper. When he was 15, his parents sent him to a preparatory
Catholic School in New Jersey called the Newman School. His parents wanted F.
Scott Fitzgerald to get the best education possible hoping he would have a better a
future than their own. At the Newman School, he met a priest named Father
Sigourney Fay who inspired him. Fitzgerald was so inspired by the Father he decided
to pursue his literary ambition and attend Princeton University.

Willy Loman
Illusions versus Reality When the illusions of life become too heavy to bear, it is
human nature to choose the most convenient solution to one s problem: illusion.
Illusion a false perception or belief is created to save oneself from feeling lost and
unguided. In the modern drama, Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller presents the
perspective that when life becomes challenging, individuals may lose sight of reality
by submerging themselves into a bubble of false hope and illusion, only to be awoken
by disillusion. More specially, the protagonist of the play, Willy Loman, dwells in
the illusions of a perfect life: popular, well liked , and successful. Willy does not
wish to be free from disillusionment, and thus fights to protect and uphold... Show

Willy Loman is greatly influenced by illusion almost to the point where he lives
every aspect of life the way he sees it in his illusions. For over thirty years, Willy
has been working as a travelling salesman. Willy has built up an image for himself
where through his eyes, he perceives himself as a great and almighty, successful
salesman; although others would agree to disagree. Being caught between fantasy
and reality makes it difficult; hence, Willy often contradicts himself because he is
not able to distinguish what is real and what is not. As Willy is talking to Linda
one morning, he starts off by telling her, I m tellin you, I was sellin thousands and
thousands (34). However, soon after he tells her, My God, if business doesn t pick
up I don t know what I m gonna do! (36). In this contradiction, Willy is caught
within illusion and soon drifts back into the real world. Illusion is the driving force
in Willy s life, and without it, he would not be the man he is; a tragic hero. Willy s
entire life is based upon illusion that he transforms into his false perception of reality.
Willy also believes and invests his time and energy in upholding the promise of the
American Dream that a well liked and personally attractive man in the business
world could easily acquire material comforts, wealth and success. To Willy, the
keys to success lie not in one s knowledge and skill, but their popularity and ability
to be well liked. For example, as Willy talks to his sons, Biff and Happy one
morning, he teaches them about how to get ahead in the business world: Bernard
can get the best marks in school, y understand, but when he gets out in the business
world, y understand, you[Biff] are going to be five times ahead of him (33). Willy
lacks good morals and insight. Although Willy speaks and espouses his beliefs, it is
inaccurate. He

Essay On Business Ethics

  • 1. Essay On Business Ethics Crafting an essay on the subject of business ethics presents a multifaceted challenge that goes beyond the conventional essay-writing process. The intricacies of business ethics require a delicate balance between theoretical frameworks and real-world applications, making it a topic that demands comprehensive research and nuanced analysis. Firstly, navigating the complex landscape of ethical considerations within the business realm requires a thorough understanding of various ethical theories and how they intersect with practical business scenarios. This involves delving into utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, and other ethical frameworks, and then applying these theories to real-life business dilemmas. Furthermore, addressing the dynamic nature of business ethics necessitates staying abreast of the latest developments in corporate governance, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and global business practices. The evolving nature of these factors adds an extra layer of complexity to the task, as writers must grapple with the ever-shifting ethical landscape. Moreover, the essay on business ethics demands an exploration of case studies that exemplify both ethical successes and failures in the business world. Analyzing these cases requires a keen eye for detail and an ability to draw meaningful conclusions that contribute to the broader discourse on ethical decision-making in business. In essence, writing an essay on business ethics is not just about presenting information; it's about critically evaluating, synthesizing, and contributing to an ongoing conversation. The writer must be adept at weaving together theoretical frameworks, contemporary examples, and personal insights to create a cohesive and compelling narrative. For those facing the challenge of articulating a comprehensive essay on business ethics, it's worth considering external resources for guidance. Social justice is access to all things in our life, no matter our talents, our beliefs, morals and goals. According to Google, social justice is justice in terms of terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities and privileges within a society. Everyone needs social justicein their life because everyone should be treated equal because everyone is unique in their own way. Not everyone is getting social justicein terms of education because of crumbling school systems, low income and rising college costs. According to the Department Of Education, Members of low income families are much less prepared for college than their higher income counterparts. For example, among high school graduates in 1992, only 21 percent of those with family incomes of less than $25,000 were highly qualified for admission at a four year institution, and 20 percent were minimally qualified. For students with family incomes above $75,000, 56 percent were highly qualified and 12 percent minimally qualified (Department of Education). Even though this was 26 years ago, the numbers are still rising. This is stating that the lower the family s income, the less prepared their child is to enter college and the higher the family s income, the more prepared their child is for college. According to the NY Times, One reason for the growing gap in achievement, researchers say, could be that wealthy parents invest more time and money than ever before in their children (in weekend sports, ballet, music lessons, math tutors, and in overall involvement in their children s schools), while lower income families, which are now more likely than ever to be headed by a single parent, are increasingly stretched for time and resources (Tavernise). This is stating that higher income families that are more involved in their child s school, will be more prepared and get more education than

As I am waiting for the bus to pass by, there are several children playing on the swings across the street. The bus arrives and off I go heading to a town known for Hope . As I arrive to the town of Plateros. I marched like wild fire to the temple. The journey, not an easy journey because I had to push and shove people out of the way just to get to the temple. It seems if I was back in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Finally, as I stand at the front gates which happens to be massive? So massive they appeared to be touching the sky. I strolled through the gate and notice all the stairs just to get to the top. I remember the time of the Aztec s pyramids where they would do human sacrifices for their Gods. As I make my way up the stairs like a captive. Once at the top of the stairs I stood this beautiful temple and what caught my eye was the outer structure. First, the outside temple s architecture features many things. For example, a half shaped golden sphere, which sat in the center of the temple. It was made of several rectangle parts put together like a jigsaw puzzle to form a pregnant woman belly. The gold dome was elegant and shiny. So bright that Japan residents are blind by the glow. Next, the temple s stone and marble combination were brilliant together. The stone wall a pale pink with a smooth texture like a baby s bottom. The caramel
  • 4. Jesus Ministry On Jesus And His Disciples 4. Commentary. 8:27.While Mark has been clearly focusing on Jesus ministry in Galilee where his authority was exhibited in his teaching and the miraculous, he now transits by altering his scene of action from Galilee to the the way to Jerusalem via Caesarea Philippi. The construction Jesus and his disciples is not frequently employed by the author especially when reporting on Jesus journeying episodes. Often times he renders the verbal form in singular when referring to Jesus alone or the third person plural they for both Jesus and his disciples . This pointing is significant for it marks a turning point on what is to follow. This path is exclusively Jesus as it will climax with Jesus alone at the cross when all his disciples will have deserted him. With his disciples, he journeys into the Caesarea Philippi. This is significant geographical shift for most of Jesus ministry had been in Galilee. He now goes north east of Bethsaida, into a popularly Hellenistic city. It had long been a center of Pagan worship and prominently a site for emperor worship . Importantly it was a city for political rulers. The significance of Jesus choice to visit this city has been highly disputed by various scholars. Stain argues that, this geographical designation must be a historical reminiscence since there is no known

Despite its many associated consequences, such as: increased hospital admissions, deaths, road accidents and assaults; alcohol dependence remains a prominent issue in today s society. But what causes alcohol dependence? This essay will critically discuss and compare two psychological theories of alcohol dependence, social learning theory and alcohol expectancy theory. Bandura s Social Learning Theory and Its Application to Alcohol Dependency Social learning theory is the cumulative works of many psychologists and sociologists, the most influential of these, was Bandura (1969, 1977 and 1986) whose works were the first to combine the principles of cognitive psychology and those of behavioural learning (the two prominent theories of the time). Bandura s (1969, 1977 and 1986) social learning theory contained four major constructs: differential reinforcement (differing consequences for a specific behaviour dependent on the social context and situation), vicarious learning (acquiring new behaviours by observing said behaviours being reinforced in others or through communication), cognitive processes (the belief that cognitive processes such as information retrieval, encoding and organizing, regulate behaviour) and triadic reciprocity (a principle that says, the environment, cognitions and behaviour all mutually influence each other). Bandura applied the early versions of these constructs

At the time of 1852 I was twelve years old, living in Victorian England, with my family. My family consisted of my father, mother, and I. We were very poor and trying to survive, so my father worked in the coal mine, my mom worked in a factory, and I worked as a chimney sweeper. Since I was twelve it was my last year as a chimney sweeper, since I was outgrowing the chimneys. This was a good thing, but very bad at the same time. It was good because being a chimney sweeper was hard work, but it will be much harder to provide money for my family. Well, enough about me let s get into the story. It all started on September 18, 1852. I said goodbye to my parents before I left for work. When I got to work I was assigned a chimney to sweep. When I got there I went right to work of cleaning out the soot and ashes from the chimney. While Carl was holding the rope as I was in the chimney his hands slip, at least that s what he says. Carl never really liked me much, he has worked for the Master Sweep for fourteen years. He is just always in a bad mood around me. Aaaahhh! I exclaimed while falling down the seven foot chimney, landing on my knees with a loud crash . Ouch, that hurt like being stung on the bottom by a bee, I said to myself. Oh my are you okay? Asked a nice girl. Ya I will live, I replied. When I looked up I saw the most

Erin Johnson and Megan Nieland Biomechanical Analysis Introduction Introduction to Biomechanics October 10, 2014 The game of soccer is often called the world s game and the greatest sport ever to be played. Here in America, soccer is the nation s game and only popular when one of the national teams is playing in the World Cup or Olympics. While the sport is gaining popularity, Americans would rather play and watch footballand baseball. The slower paced, timeout centered sports such as football and baseball give teams moments to regroup. In soccer there are hardly any pauses in a forty five minute half where a team can have a few moments to take a breath before continuing play. A corner kick is one of the ways of restarting play in the game of soccer and regrouping as a team. When the ball is played out of bounds and last touched by a defending player, the attacking team is awarded with a corner kick. This brief pause in the game allows the attacking team to regroup and an opportunity for them to score a goal. A corner kick is taken from the nearest corner of the field where the ball exited. The soccer ball is placed inside the arc, where the goal line and sideline intersect. The attacking player kicks the soccer ball towards the group of attackers and defenders that are swarmed around the goal. This is the optimal goal scoring opportunity for the attack team. By placing the ball in the right place, the attacking team has the opportunity to score. Proper mechanics of a

We want rights, freedom, and equality. But we also need some sort of structure. As people we need a say in how we live our lives but we cannot just do as we please. We can t have the government gaining too much power but we need to still be controlled. Harmony in all aspects is what we are sought after, we want and need a balance. Direct democracy is a way to get citizens involved and united. It helps keep the government transparent, you cannot make promises to the people and then not keep them because you run the risk of the people removing you from power. It holds everyone accountable, the officials to do what they promised and to fix the problems within society and the people to keep their government going in the right direction. The individual is foolish, the species is wise. (Burke). Together we are better. There are also some pros to having a direct democracy, when the people want to see change, they appeal and they vote. Which would truly be a government for the people, by the people , protecting our interests. There is a checks and balances system that makes sure the power gets distributed. Democracy also promotes equality, allows for change, doesn t put too much power in the hands
  • 12. The Manuscript, Copyist And Ink And Page Setting The following analyses present the findings of a multi perspective codicological analysis of the examined manuscript, such as provenance of the manuscript, copyist /scribe and ink and page setting. Provenance of the manuscript The manuscript is of a relatively significant size. It consists of 114 paired (dual) folios and one single page folio at the end. Since this author uses a scanned image of the codex, it is difficult to suggest its length and breadth. There are two flyleaves, a paired one attached to the front cover and a single one attached to the back cover page. The scanned image does not show the front cover page. The cover pages seem to be made of hard cardboard covered with dark brown or light black fabric. In the middle of the back cover, there is a washed out geometrical shape of a mihrДЃb and a two hardly readable lines of Latin letters. They are not hand crafted. Rather they appear to be the original factory mark. The geometrical shape of a mihrДЃb is a coincidental design as it is not meant to bear any religious symbolism. Equally, the Latin letters do not have any relevance to the manuscript. Therefore, the scribe seems to have randomly used the cover to protect the codex. The scribe uses two different types of ordinary paper, produced in a modern stationery factory. For instance, for folios 1 19 and 43 202, he uses papers with 20 horizontal lines; and for folios 20 42 and 203 218, he uses papers with quadratic graphs. Two hand stitched white cotton threads,

A Bug s Life Through The Lens Of Karl Marx A Bug s Life Through the Lens of Karl Marx A Bug s Life through the lens of Karl Marx Disney s Pixar film, A Bug s Life, is much more than meets the eye. The film is not only an animated comedy; it holds deep sociological theory within its plot. Many of the major themes and concepts of the movie can be viewed through the lens of the famous theorist Karl Marx. Marx s theory is famous for focusing on how society functions. In particular he concerns himself with how capitalism, the working class, and the revolutions create problems in our society. My paper will analyze how Marxian theory and concepts fit into major climactic scenes of the film. The film revolves around the protagonist Filk, a worker ant. The colony is being oppressed by a group of grasshoppers and their leader Hopper. The grasshoppers claim they will provide protection as long as the ants provide the food supply. When the ants cannot supply the food for the grasshoppers, Hopper demands the ants to produce twice as much food as they did before. As a result, the ants will not have enough food to store up for themselves. Filk then travels to recruit warrior bugs to help the ants fight off the grasshoppers. According to Marx, this would free the colony from the constant oppression of the grasshoppers. The major themes of the movie follow Marxian theory. The first relates to Hopper and how the grasshoppers abuse their power and exploit the ant colony. The grasshoppers expect food knowing that the ants cannot

He was flunking most of his classes which got him kicked out of the school. The Effect Of Velocity On A Flat Plate Boundary Layer Introduction: The purpose of this experiment was to measure the magnitude of velocity in a flat plate boundary layer in which the pressure was constant. A pitot tube located at the top of the test section that was used to determine the total pressure across the boundary layer. The Pitot tube needed to be able to more along both horizontal and vertical directions for accurate measurements. Five different tubes, aligned along the x axis, were placed under the wind tunnel test section to measure the static pressure. The result of both the static and total pressures is the dynamic pressure. Theory: The boundary layer is defined as a thin layer of any fluid adjacent to the solid surface it surrounds. The characteristics of a boundary layer are basically what define the effects of viscosity. The velocity of the boundary layer starts from a value of zero at the solid surface and increases until it reaches a maximum which happens to be the free stream velocity. In other words, theoretically speaking the boundary layer is infinite, but for measurement purposes the boundary layers ends where the velocity gradient is 99% of the free stream velocity. The Reynolds number, a unit less ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces, is used to identify the several inner layers of the boundary layer. Furthermore, as previously mentioned when a body parallel to the flow, such as a flat plate, is placed in the parallel direction of a free stream flow, a boundary layer is formed. At the

(Furnham, 2014) As a consequence, many members are constantly being exploited by the organization in order to achieve the goals of the leader. Ultimately, these groups will use physical and psychological harm, to hurt members, families, friends, and the community. ( Furnham,

The Empire Of The Persian Empire Achaemenid Persia was one of the first and the greatest empires of the Fertile Crescent and beyond, as such, they would come into contact with diverse groups of people, one of which is the Jews of Judea. The Persian Empire is one of the few empires depicted in the Tanach, or Hebrew Bible, as favorable. This being so, it can still be difficult to assert who the Persians, their kings, and their land were in the eyes of the Jews. The stories and depictions of the kings and land do not always agree on the matter and differ on how much detail is given. Persians during the time they ruled Judea have few records of who the Jews were and what they did in the borders of the empire. From what is found, it is still possible to gleam whom the Jews and their land were in the eyes of the kings of Persia. The depiction of Persia, namely that of the Achaemenid dynasty, has largely been favorable in the Tanach. They are presented in the Books of Esther, Daniel, Ezra /Nehemiah, Chronicles, and Isaiah as agents of G d to preserve the nation of Israel. Yet despite on this commonality they differ on the details. The Book of Esther tells the story of a Jewish girl named Esther and the possibility of the genocide of the Jews. The Book of Daniel tells the story of the rise to power of the Medes and Persians against the Babylonians. The Book of Ezra/Nehemiah tells of how Cyrus the Great was benevolent and permitted the Jews to return to the Land of Israel to rebuild their destroyed temple. The Book

  • 49. Willy Loman Illusions versus Reality When the illusions of life become too heavy to bear, it is human nature to choose the most convenient solution to one s problem: illusion. Illusion a false perception or belief is created to save oneself from feeling lost and unguided. In the modern drama, Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller presents the perspective that when life becomes challenging, individuals may lose sight of reality by submerging themselves into a bubble of false hope and illusion, only to be awoken by disillusion. More specially, the protagonist of the play, Willy Loman, dwells in the illusions of a perfect life: popular, well liked , and successful. Willy does not wish to be free from disillusionment, and thus fights to protect and uphold... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Willy Loman is greatly influenced by illusion almost to the point where he lives every aspect of life the way he sees it in his illusions. For over thirty years, Willy has been working as a travelling salesman. Willy has built up an image for himself where through his eyes, he perceives himself as a great and almighty, successful salesman; although others would agree to disagree. Being caught between fantasy and reality makes it difficult; hence, Willy often contradicts himself because he is not able to distinguish what is real and what is not. As Willy is talking to Linda one morning, he starts off by telling her, I m tellin you, I was sellin thousands and thousands (34). However, soon after he tells her, My God, if business doesn t pick up I don t know what I m gonna do! (36). In this contradiction, Willy is caught within illusion and soon drifts back into the real world. Illusion is the driving force in Willy s life, and without it, he would not be the man he is; a tragic hero. Willy s entire life is based upon illusion that he transforms into his false perception of reality. Willy also believes and invests his time and energy in upholding the promise of the American Dream that a well liked and personally attractive man in the business world could easily acquire material comforts, wealth and success. To Willy, the keys to success lie not in one s knowledge and skill, but their popularity and ability to be well liked. For example, as Willy talks to his sons, Biff and Happy one morning, he teaches them about how to get ahead in the business world: Bernard can get the best marks in school, y understand, but when he gets out in the business world, y understand, you[Biff] are going to be five times ahead of him (33). Willy lacks good morals and insight. Although Willy speaks and espouses his beliefs, it is inaccurate. He
