4.  The hydraulic jack is a device used for lifting heavy
loads by the application of much smaller force. It is
based on Pascal's law, which states that intensity of
pressure is transmitted equally in all directions
through a mass of fluid at rest.

hydraulic jack. But its construction is different
from jack.
 The construction of hydraulic press is
different on the bases of different use.

9.  Hydraulic Brake based on Pascal’s low . It is
based on Pascal's law, which states that
intensity of pressure is transmitted equally in
all directions through a mass of fluid at rest. It
change mechanical energy to heat energy by
friction.
 It is tow types:-
o Drum type
o Disk type

hydraulic apparatus to lift or move objects
using the force created when pressure is
exerted on liquid in a piston.

storage reservoir in which a non-
compressible hydraulic fluid is held under
pressure that is applied by an external source.

15.  A water turbine is a rotary machine that
converts kinetic energy and potential energy
of water into mechanical work.

mechanical energy to hydraulic energy.
