Is the concept of development that has to
do with the creation & improving of
living conditions where people can
develop they're full potential, have a
long & healthy life. have access to an
appropriated education. Can develop
they're potential to the fullest & have the
opportunity to live according to they're
needs & interests.

and HAPPY LIFE,
qualitative EDUCATION &
participation in economy to
live a life with dignity.
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Promotes a life with
DIGNITY to all the people
in the world, NO
MATTER they're ORIGIN,
GENDER, RELIGION or
SKIN type.
Human Developed Index
The HDI was created to emphasize that people and
their capabilities should be the ultimate criteria
for assessing the development of a country, not
economic growth alone.
This can also be used to question national policy
choices, asking how two countries with the same
level of GNI per capita can end up with different
human development outcomes. These contrasts
can stimulate debate about government policy
priorities.
What is HDI?
is a summary measure of average achievement in
key dimensions of human development: a long
and healthy life, being knowledgeable and have a
decent standard of living.

3 DIMENSIONS OF HDI
HDI
The health dimension is assessed by life
expectancy at birth, the education dimension is
measured by mean of years of schooling for
adults aged 25 years and more and expected
years of schooling for children of school entering
age. The standard of living dimension is
measured by gross national income per capita.
GINI Index
Is a statistical measure of distribution. It is
often used as a gauge of economic
inequality, measuring income distribution or,
wealth distribution among a population.
The coefficient ranges from 0 to 1, with 0
representing perfect equality and 1
representing perfect inequality. Values
over 1 are theoretically possible due to
negative income or wealth.
GINIA country in which every resident has the
same income would have an income Gini
coefficient of 0. A country in one resident
earned all the income, while everyone else
earned nothing, would have an income Gini
coefficient of 1.
0 GINI 1
The same analysis can be applied to wealth
distribution, but because wealth is more difficult
to measure than income, Gini coefficients usually
refer to income and appear simply as "Gini
index.” Wealth Gini coefficients tend to be much
higher than those for income.

INEQUALITY-ADJUSTED HDI
The HDI represents a national average of
human development achievements in the
three basic dimensions making up the HDI:
health, education and income. Like all averages, it
conceals disparities in human development
across the population within the same country.
Two countries with different distributions of
achievements can still have the same average HDI
value.
The IHDI takes into account not only the average
achievements of a country on health, education and
income, but also how those achievements are
distributed among its population by “discounting” each
dimension’s average value according to its level of
inequality.
