conducting job analyses, planning personnel needs, recruiting the right peopl
e for the job, orienting
and training, managing wages and salaries, providing benefits and incentives
, evaluating performance, resolving disputes, and communicating with all
employees at all levels.

Job Analysis
is a process to identify and determine in detail the particular job duties and
requirements and the relative importance of these duties for a given job
The process of job analysis results in two sets of data:
i) Job description and
ii) Job specification.
i)
. A job description is a list that a person might use for general tasks, or functions, and
responsibilities of a position. It may often include to whom the position reports, specifications
such as the qualifications or skills needed by the person in the job
ii) Job Specification is a statement of the essential components of a jobclass including a
summary of the work to be performed, primary duties and responsibilities, and the minimum
qualifications and requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
