Kodak En La Encrucijada
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Role Of Self Assembly And The Construction Of A...
A nanoparticle is the most basic component in the construction of a nanostructure. In general, the size
of a nanoparticle spans the range between 1 and 100 nm. The properties of many conventional
materials change when formed from nanoparticles. This is typically because nanoparticles have a
greater surface area per weight than larger particles which causes them to be more reactive than other
molecules. Self assembly refers to the process by which nanoparticles or other distinct components
spontaneously organize due to direct specific interactions and/or indirectly, through their environment.
Self assembly is typically linked with thermodynamic equilibrium, the organization of the structures
characterized the minimum of the system s free energy. An important aspect of self assembly is that
the building blocks organize into macroscopic structures. This can happen through direct interactions
(Interparticle forces) or through indirect interactions like using a template or external field as a guide.
The grouping of matter in nanomaterials can be broken down into two techniques. Top down
miniaturization techniques or bottom up methods which are typically based on self assembly or
directed assembly. The most widely used materials in bottom up assembly are colloid micro and
nanoparticles. A lot of time and effort has recently been spent on the fabrication of functional
materials from organized particles. These advanced assemblies can find applications in areas such as
photonics,

The Confession And On The Trinity
Along with his writings in The Confessions and On the Trinity, Augustine of hippo used the section
titles the literal Meaning of Genesis in order to show Gods love through three visions of God.
According to Dupré and Weisman, we experience three kinds of vision: one through the eyes, a second
through the soul, and a third through the intuition of the mind (Dupré and Weisman pg. 71). Most
humans in society are expected to understand the first of all the visions. To see through the eyes as
spiritual vision is expected for most humans. However, to see things in a corporeal way through the
body is more difficult. We use sight as a physical sensory and flesh of God is outside of the body s
vision. The third type of vision is intellectual, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This Sunday the reoccurring message was Growth through Adversity . I treated the mediation as an
after church devotion to help clear my mind and get my ready for the school week. My goal for the
day through mediation was to digest the message from church and clear my mind from the last eek.
Ultimately, I was able to mediate and focus on the clearing of my mind and optimism for the next
week of school ahead of me. (Journal Feb 5th). Like Augustine said, how we think, how we
remember, and how we love will show of true connection with Union with God. So, we must digest
the information we receive through sermons and scriptures and use it to analyze God and grow a
deeper connection with him. In his writings, Augustine makes it clear that direct contact with God will
naturally heal people. Therefore, I believe through the use of a sacred word or phrase, one is able to
create this deeper connection with God. Augustine encourages the idea of humans being made in the
trinity so serenity is only possible if one connects with God and transforms their suffering into
blessings. Such a depiction of the soul being intellectual creates a naturally union with God. Through
Centering of Prayer, the methods of creating a serene space are much easier than changing ones soul.
The person has to rid the mind of distraction and focus in the soul on thoughts that will completely
focus the person. Personally, as a religious person, I chose to adopt a sacred word or phrase

Aztec Impact On Mayan Society
The Mayans, Incas, and Aztecs were influential societies in their time. They also still affect us to this
day, and are allowing us to adopt some of their inventions and letting us understand their time and
how they lived. The South American indigenous civilizations have impacted both the past and present
impressively and affected the world coincidentally in the area of communication and government. We
still use their government forms and also are using similar social class distinction.
Both the Mayans and the Incas have affected the way we have set up our social class and how we
distinguish ourselves from one another. They ve already developed for us the way we distinguish

Essay about A Lifelong Calling into the Orthodox Christian...
The Orthodox Christian Church holds true to the teachings of Christ as given by Him to His apostles.
The Orthodox Christian Church is universal and Orthodox Christians have a faith and doctrine of
Jesus Christ Our Lord as Head of the Church.
To date, the Orthodox Church teachings promote the central role of youth and children in the mission
of the church. Being an Orthodox Christian is a lifelong calling to whoever is baptized and chrismated
in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Right from child hood, we as Orthodox
Children share in the Holy mysteries of the faith. The Holy Liturgies and prayers emphasize the
mystical transformation of the child to dress up in Christ and to follow Christ forever.

We should wake up, walk, work and sleep again dressed up into prayer, asking God to always be with
us and to forgive our sins committed in word, thoughts or deeds knowingly and unknowingly .In this
way, we as youth will become the pillar of progressive community life and happiness. We do not need
to be rich with lots of money, property, land, clothes, and so on to live an Orthodox life. These come
to us automatically if we patiently follow the footsteps of our forefathers and after Jesus Christ
himself.
No matter what the era or generation, there will always be the pressure of bad spirits and demonic
teachings by hypocritical liars who will seek to divert us from our Orthodox faith for many reasons be
it greed, jealousy, and many other sinful actions they want to send our way. We should aim at
becoming truly Orthodox in daily life styles. Never going to excess or taking to the temptations of the
flesh.
We can become intimidated by these pressures of society and succumb to peer pressure. But we must
remember, Orthodox Christians have moral codes by which we must and should live. If it happens that
the code runs contrary to the (sinful) way of life of the given society in which we live, we should and
must adhere to the higher way of life which is our Orthodox Christian way of life. Our Orthodoxy
cannot be determined or influenced by

The Philosophical Hermeneutics Of Biblical Interpretations
The concept of understanding knowledge and truth corresponds to the whole of our hermeneutic
experience (Gadamer, 2013 p.250). In this essay, I aim to address Gadamerian philosophical
hermeneutics under conditions to support consciousness that informs us of our relationship with the
environment (Clingerman, Treanor, Drenthen, Utsler,2013, p.4). I will provide an a short historical
background of hermeneutics particular to the function of the religious text. For the long term goal, I
examine air quality as an environmental hermeneutic issue by connecting to Gadamer s argument that
understanding belongs to the specific nature of our human life.( Gadamer,2014).
Biblical Interpretations
From a historical perspective, it is important to note that the term hermeneutics has been applied to
justify biblical interpretations. Unique to the principles of biblical interpretations one may reference
the hermeneutics relationship between the New and Old Testaments as Jesus interprets himself to the
Jews regarding scriptural prophecy (Bentz, 2015, p.35). Moreover, the study of the term hermeneutics
emerged in non biblical literature, thus forming the foundation that focused on man s art, actions, and
writings (Bentz,2015), that gives respect to different beliefs. In non biblical literature, hermeneutics
cores to the discipline of human science by philosophical thinkers; they critique text to further their
dimensions of

Critique of Title IX
What if you were told that a law was made to remove discrimination of sexes in sports and education,
or that man and woman are both given equal opportunities as far as an athletic or educational career?
Would you then agree or disagree with the ideology that both sexes are still treated different even
though this law was created and the opportunities that were promised aren t precisely
indistinguishable? Title IX does not accurately protect sexual discrimination; it doesn t give equal
opportunities, and is unjust as far as benefits between male and female sports. Although this law
allows men and women to participate in the same sports and educational fields it does not efficiently
take care of those who feel sexes should be separate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to comply with Title IX the schools had to effectuate with what s called proportionality. (CBS
news) Proportionality states that the portion of the school that is female must also be the portion of
athletes that is female. Therefore setting a balance between the schools ratio and the athletic ratios and
also enforcing Title IX. The problem that balancing caused was that the school had to add more
women sports which cost more money to the school, or choose to cancel some of the schools male
sports. Subsequently, the schools had to do what was best for the school and to avoid going into debt
for sports the male sports had to be put on the burner. Many schools cut male wrestling, track and
field, tennis, and gymnastics teams instead of adding women sports. Jason Lewis a gymnasts whose
team was eliminated said that the number of men s teams are dwindling because colleges are dropping
what are called the minor men s sports, the ones that don t draw crowds or make money, and investing
more and more in just one sport football. The Fact that just twenty three years ago, there was 107 men
s gymnastics teams in this nation, now there are only 20 teams left just so happens to prove Lewis s
statement to be true.(CBS news) Finally, Title IX says that equal benefits should be given to both men
and women in the sports and education industries, but there are people who disagree with this
statement. Title IX was not made for the intent of giving women a beneficial

How Does The Baclofen Pump Be Successful At Helping Anyone...
Imagine you know someone with Cerebral Palsy. This could be someone who has a hard time hearing
or even communicating with others. On a regular day for a child who has Cerebral Palsy may not
always be able to do what other children or adults do in their ordinary life. For example, Cerebral
Palsy children may not be able to walk like a regular person, or ride a bike like a regular child. In
order to control Cerebral Palsy there are multiple treatments such as the baclofen pump. This
treatment is more likely to be successful, rather than the Botox injections and phenol blocks. It has
been proven that the baclofen pump is more likely to be successful at helping anyone with Cerebral
Palsy. Although, there are several different types and causes of Cerebral Palsy that someone could
develop. These causes are Terminology, Dysgensis, Periventricular Leukomalacia, and Hypoxic
Ischemic Encephalopath. I will be explaining each and every one of them more in detail. With these
causes, there are different treatments that could be used to treat the causes. These causes include
Botox Injections, Phenol Blocks, Baclofen Orally, and Intrathecal Baclofen. Later on, I will be
explaining the pro s and con s of each one. The word cerebral means the brain and the word palsy
means muscle weakness and poor control. Children or adults can be born with Cerebral Palsy or might
be diagnosed later in life. The disorder may occur during the woman s pregnancy, child s birth, or after

A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON ENDOPOLYSACCHARIDES AND
EXOPOLYSACCHARIDES PRODUCTION FROM SOME BASIDIOMYCETES WITH
STUDYING THE ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTI TUMOUR EFFECTS OF PLEUROTUS
OSTREATUS MUSHROOM
ABSTRACT:
Edible mushrooms have attracted a great attention due to their nutritional, as well as medicinal
properties. In the present study, different mushroom species were extracted partially purified and their
endopolysaccharides
(extracted from the fruiting bodies) as well as exopolysaccharides (extracted from the filtrate of
cultured mycelia) production were determined to evaluate their anti tumour and anti oxidant effects.
The present results showed that
Pleurotus ostreatus FIII endopolysaccharide has the maximum intracellular production as compared
with the other studied mushrooms.
Different mushroom s endo and exopolysaccharides inhibited the proliferation of
Ehrlich tumour (EAT) cells in vitro; however, P. ostreatus FIII endopolysaccharide exhibited the
maximum anti tumour effect. Moreover, P. ostreatus FIII endopolysaccharide showed the maximum
scavenging activity compared to the scavenging effects of the control ascorbic acid.
Pre treatment of different concentrations of P. ostreatus FIII endopolysaccharide to EATbearing mice
markedly decreased the number of
EAT cells one week after incubation in the abdominal cavity of mice in a dose dependent manner, and
reduced the size of solid tumour in the thigh muscle of mice as measured morphologically and
examined histologically.

Personal Legend InThe Alchemist, By Paulo Coehlo
To achieve one s Personal Legend, one must work hard to accomplish it. This is not an easy task to do,
especially when you are a young shepherd boy. The Alchemist is a novel written by Paulo Coehlo. The
main character is a boy, Santiago, which seeks out his Personal Legend and the alchemist helps him
discover himself along the way. In the novel, Coelho uses symbols, character development, and setting
to create a deeper meaning. Santiago does not use his own motivation to pursue his Personal Legend,
but it is through the efforts of others that his Personal Legend is fulfilled.
In the novel, Coelho uses symbols of love, Urim, and Thummim, and sheep to create meaning and
emotion in the novel. Coelho uses the symbol of love, or Fatima to show her efforts in Santiago s
Personal Legend. My father went away one day, but he returned to my mother, and he has always
come back since then. (Coelho, 122). Santiago has a decision to make: stay in the oasis, or go to the
pyramids. Fatima tells him to go find his treasure and assures him she will be waiting. Coelho
demonstrates through Fatima Santiago s great love for her, which becomes a motivational factor to
return to when Santiago is on his journey. Without the help of Fatima, he would have stayed in the
oasis. Coelho uses Urim and Thummim to model Santiago s benightedness and ignorance. I promised
that I would make my own decisions, (Coelho, 41). Santiago is given a gift of Urim and Thummim,
which can predict the future

Eskimo Mothers Campaign Analysis
In order to solidify the First Nations place as designated outsiders in their own homeland (8) the press
had to show how Indigenous people become the other when compared to the white settlers of Canada.
In comparison to the white setters presumed racial superiority, the media would use headlines and
stories that evoked images of Indians as dependent children. One specific instance of this is the federal
government s poster campaign to instruct the Eskimo mothers about how to use their newly awarded
family allowance funds by the Department of National Health and Welfare (148). This campaign
created a standard that, despite being mothers and raising children in this land for generations, the

During the Louis Riel 1885 North West Resistance, the press used their influence to shape the
narrative as an event fated to occur because, as the Gazette reported, it was inevitable that the red
skins would become the reckless, murderous devils which nature has made them in their native
conditions... [and] sooner or later it was inevitable that the red skins would make an effort to regain
control of the country, massacre and pillage the settlers (67). This description paints a picture of First
Nations as unable to escape an almost animalistic urge to kill and destroy that is engrained in their
very sense of self. In the press coverage of the 1885 Resistance, we can also see the close ties between
the use of the savage stereotype and the childlike Indian. Although the press called for Riel to hang for
his crimes against Canada, the Metis were described as the poor misguided half breeds whom Riel
swindled and bullied (67) which portrays them as lacking the ability to stand up for themselves and
the maturity to resist

Milk, The Main Character Harvey Milk
Adam Locke
COMM 1819: Fall 2016
In the movie Milk, the main character Harvey Milk is shown to be a leader who, while imperfect,
gains a large amount of support in his local community before meeting his tragic end. An ethnographic
approach to the film provides additional understanding of the tragic situation, as well as an objective
analysis of how leadership overcame huge challenges in that period of time.
In the film, Harvey Milk is portrayed as having many leaderful qualities. This is because although he
becomes a voice for the community and speaks on behalf of others, he is also an effective listener. The
concurrent tenet of leaderful practice is the most revolutionary. It suggests that in any community,
more than one leader can operate at the same time, so leaders willingly and naturally share power with
others (Raelin, 2003, p.1). Thus, a true leader inspires others to act, as within the transformational
leadership ideal (Judge Piccolo, 2004), and sees him or herself as working within a situation that
furthers a specific goal and in which they are a servant who furthers a greater cause (Greenleaf, 2002).
For Harvey Milk in the movie, this is especially true. ...servant leadership is an approach focusing on
leadership from the point of view the leader and his or her behaviors. Servant leadership emphasizes
that leaders be attentive to the concerns of their followers, empathize with them, and nurture them.
Servant leaders put followers first, empower them, and help

Barack Obama s Dreams From My Father
In the United States of America people of multi racial foundations feel like they are compelled to pick

Sigmund Freud s Psychodynamic Theory
Sigmund Freud s psychodynamic theory can be described as a view that explains personality in terms
of conscious and unconscious forces such as unconscious desires and beliefs (Chegg Study). Sigmund
Freud developed this theory in the early 20th century based on the assumption that our unconscious
desires influence many of our actions in our everyday lives (McLeod 2009). In addition, another
assumption of Freud s that contributed to this theory was that our childhood experiences influence us
greatly and make us into the person we are today. Freud proposed the psychodynamic theory
according to which personality consisted of the Id, the super ego and the ego (McLeod 2009). The Id
is the pleasure principle concerned with instincts and pleasure and operates by primary processes
which thereby, does not take into account the reality principle (McLeod 2009). For example, if you
were extremely thirsty; instead of going to buy a bottle of water or refilling your own bottle, you
would drink from someone else s water bottle without their permission and without them knowing.
This example demonstrates how the Id principle operates without taking into account what is socially
acceptable in order to satisfy a need. The ego is the reality principle which not only operates by
secondary processes concerned with reason and logic, but also mediates between the Id and super ego
according to reality (McLeod 2009). For example, in the same scenario, instead of drinking from
someone else s water

The Complex Idea of Good and the Power of Faith Violence, specifically with murder, is inherently
morally wrong in the vast majority of cases. But through analysis of Judah Rosenthal in Woody Allen
s Crimes and Misdemeanors, Kenny and Tub in Tobias Wolff s Hunters in the Snow, and the Grandma
and The Misfit in Flannery O Connor s A Good Man is Hard to Find, the traditional sides of good and
bad in a murder are blurred. One of the most important ideas seen throughout these pieces is the role
of faith (or lack thereof) in decisions, whether in a life or death situation or in general, and that the
question of what exactly makes a moral, good individual is not a simple one. As the idiom there is
more than meets the eye suggests, there has yet to be a completely pure, good human, despite how
they might first appear. Despite the contributions of the other characters, The Misfit is the best
character to convey these themes, as his struggle with faith in the story requires complex analysis, as
the individual presents multiple angles to both the reader and the grandmother. The Misfit is first
introduced in the first paragraph of O Connor s short story, as Grandma tells her family of the
notorious killer who has just escaped from prison (O Connor 1042). While a fair assumption, The
Misfit is immediately established as an antagonist and an immoral individual. He then is not
mentioned until right before Pitty

The Influence of American Culture in the 1950s and 1960s...
Canada as a nation has been striving to characterize itself as more ?Canadian? for decades. This has
included numerous struggles and events such as protests, bans, and the creation of the Massey
Commission, to encourage national development in the arts, and support major companies like the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and National Film Board (NFB). However, this has not
been an easy task for the Canadian government, as major influences from below the border (the
United States) have been captivating the Canadian audiences by large. American media has had a
momentous revolutionizing effect on Canada, even through efforts made to define Canada with its
own cultural identity.

The media began to control the way they lived their lives, what they wore, what they listened to, and
even what they believed. After all, everyone wants to roll with the popular crowd.
The Canadian government could not possibly stand for further American conquest on their culture and
media. It was time to stop the inundation of Americanization before they had lost all original material
and their identity had vanished into the shadows of Canadian history. A suitable action was taken by
the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), stripping as much American content from the station
as possible, leaving only what was necessary to satisfy the popular demand (removing all American
substance had its consequences, severe as losing money and audiences, and ensuing in the downfall of
the broadcasting industry due to the lack of well known content). This would leave space for more
Canadian programming, as a result fulfilling the promise of making Canada more Canadian, taking
into consideration even such a small modification.
The Canadian government?s plan to get rid of the great American culture influence was one of many
faults. There would be no way of carrying this out without disappointing much of the un disturbed
Canadian society, those who have grown comfortable with their surroundings and are appreciative of
everything the United States has had to

The Development And Testing Of An Intermediate Concept...
Ability of Children to
Identify Bad Choices and Justifications
Kent S. Michael
The University of Alabama
Introduction Stephen Thoma, W. Pitt Derryberry, and H. Michael Crowson published an article (2013)
outlining the development and testing of an intermediate concept measure (ICM) of moral reasoning
on an adolescent population, and one of the unexpected findings was the difficulty of research
participants to accurately identify bad choices and justifications (Thoma et al., 2013). It is important to
note that an analogous pattern was found in a previous study utilizing the ICM with young adults in
their last year of dental school (Bebeau Thoma, 1999). To the author s knowledge, a similar study has
not been conducted on a younger segment of the population. The purpose of this proposal is to assess
whether children aged 9 11 also struggle when identifying bad choices and justifications.
Literature Review
Moral Reasoning A brief overview of the history of moral psychology in the Kohlbergian tradition is
necessary to understand the significance and need for the current proposal. Jean Piaget presented his
construct of moral reasoning in his theory of development, and he found there were two stages of
moral reasoning heterenomous and autonomous. The former is associated with Piaget s concrete
operational stage as moral reasoning is dependent upon the relational context of the child and
authority figures (parents, God, etc.) and is inductive by nature. The latter is

Advantages Of Retention Strategies
Gone is the age when people sought permanence in every vital facet of life, be it relationships or jobs.
With the advent of modern era, there has been a tangible shift from securing permanent things to
ascertaining better things. It is a typical human behaviour to have an insatiable hunger for
development and betterment. This penchant can be evidently contemplated in the corporate
employees, since the corporate world is swamped with a surfeit of jobs and there are ample chances
for employees to move from one job to another. In such transient job environment, companies need to
prepare themselves well in advance to efficiently and professionally handle the exit of employees.

How Did Roman Roads Affected Rome
Roads are infrastructure we use every day in conjunction with vehicles to travel around. Roads affect
us daily, just as Roman roads affected the Roman Empire. Roman roads were a crucial part of Rome
because they helped Rome expand their empire, trade easily, and move ideas along. Not only that, but
Roman roads were amazing engineering accomplishments.
Roman roads helped Rome expand and connect the entire empire together. Altogether, Roman roads
stretched about 53,000 miles. The most famous road is the Via Appia. This road is about 38.5 miles
long. Most of these roads were military roads that helped armies move quickly to a destination in
order to attack or defend an area. These roads also allowed supply vehicles filled with food,

The road consisted of a trench that was filled with stones, pebbles, rough gravel, broken concrete,
shards of rock, shards of pottery, or. This was the foundation. A foundation was important because a
bad foundation would let the road sag. It was filled tightly and smoother gravel was laid on top. This
made it smooth so that the paving stones would not shake. The paving stones were placed on top and
the center of the road was raised to allow for the drainage of water in rainy weather. Ditches were dug
on the sides of the road to take the water and move it away. Pedestrians would walk on sidewalks,
which were about 1 3 meters in width. These sidewalks were separated from the road by a curb made
of stone slabs. Roads were reinforced and perfected in order for Romans to be able to move quickly.
The average road was about 4.2 meters wide, enough to let two wheeled vehicles pass each other.
Because Romans knew that the shortest distance between two places is a straight line, roads were built
in straight lines, only curving when an obstacle was impossible to pass. To be able to move in a
straight line, Romans built bridges, diverted creeks, cut forests, dug flat areas, drained marshes, cut
into mountainsides, and tunneled through mountains to keep the road straight. Mountain roads
sometimes had ridges help people and animals not slip down the mountain. Other roads might have

Examples Of Demonology In Macbeth

Witches, goblins, ghouls, oh my! The supernatural world has been a mystery for many years and has

Biography Of Garson Kanin And David Crane And Hands On A...
This past week, I had the opportunity to experience a magnificent play called Born Yesterday by
Garson Kanin. This performance was the third of three plays I saw at the Arizona Repertory Theatre.
The other two plays were Epic Proportions by Larry Coen and David Crane and Hands on a Hardbody
by Doug Wright. These were the first plays I have been to, not only while attending the University of
Arizona, but in my generation as a teenager. All together, these performances were amazing and have
brought a newly improved insight to my perception of theatre. The hard work and dedication by the
actors, directors, producers, cast members, and sound developers were absolutely incredible and I
have tremendous respect for their efforts during the overall sequence of producing the plays. The most
recent performance I saw, Born Yesterday, can be described and reflected on through various topics
such as lighting, sound, directing and producing.
I decided to arrive a half hour early to witness all the elements of the stage, audience, and theater in
order to truly express my thoughts on the external features of the play. The Marroney theatre has 332
seats which were designed like movie theatre chairs. They were manufactured to be a bold red with
black carpet surrounding the floor to cover the entire theatre space. For the first thirty minutes before

Essay On Milgram Experiment
Stanley Milgram conducted an experiment to find out how far people would go in obeying instructions
if it included harming another person. This experiment was also trying to prove how easily an ordinary
person could be influenced into committing atrocities such as the Nazi killings in World War II
(McLeod, 2007). The experiment was first advertised in the newspaper to look for male participants
for the experiment and they were paid $4.50 for participating the experiment which were conducted at

During the experiment many of the participants were uncomfortable and angry at the experimenter
and yet they still continued following instructions until the end of the experiment (Cherry, n.d.). These
participants had believed that the experimenter would be held responsible for any potential after
effects of the experiment and not them therefore continued sending shocks to the learner in the
experiment (Feldman, 2013). The results of this experiment has suggested that ordinary people would
obey orders given by an authority even though it includes harming another person because they had
the mindset of just following orders and not being personally held responsible for any the possible
negative outcomes. Although this experiment shows that situational variables have a stronger sway
than personality factors in determining obedience, there are other psychologists claim that obedience
is greatly affected by both physical and mental factors such as personal beliefs and total character

Rape Fantasies: Female Victimization
Margaret Atwood¡¦s ¡§Rape Fantasies¡¨, a monologue of a woman discus her concern about the topic

the society. Furthermore, Atwood talks about the importance of having ¡§voice¡¨ as a power or

In the story, there is an exploration of female vulnerability, and victimization in the rape fantasies.

Therefore, the imagined rapists fail to rape Estelle as there is sharing and emotional communication
between both sexes. Although the society is changing, female are still burdened by the social
inequalities and rules. They have the right to reject all the inequalities by speaking out, saying ¡§no¡¨,
but most of the female fail to do that. Likewise, the issue of power is also concerned in ¡§Where are
you going? Where have you been?¡¨. In the final scene of it, Arnold gains domination in his talking
while Connie only makes short sentences. He uses psychological manipulation to threat Connie who
fails to find any ways to resist that she surrenders and satisfies the desires of the man. Connie fails to
find her ¡§voice¡¨ to fight the threat. Voice is very important to female. So Atwood emphasizes the
idea of communication in her story to demonstrate that there is an equal share of power between men
and women if both sides talk and listen to each other. Through talking and listening, men and women
can come to understand one another. Thus, crime and pain can be avoided due to the mutual sympathy.
Women can never fight their humiliating figure under the domination of men with their physical
strength because it is not comparable to man. Voice is the solution to victimization. If a woman cannot
find her voice, she can only end up to be a stereotyping woman who is being treated

The Treaty of Versailles was signed by Germany and the allied powers, which consisted of the United
Kingdom, France, Italy, and the United States, on 28th June 1919, in the hall of mirrors, effectively
ending World War One (WW1) after an armistice of seven months . This treaty established the League

Some of these repercussions were demilitarization, losing ten percent of its overall land and other

Failure is among those things everyone has in common such as putting our pants on one leg at a time.
It is a human experience. A few individuals handle the experience well, others not so well. What is the
secret? How do some individuals bounce back so successfully following failure? #1 They do not go
ahead and take failure personally. Failure is not a personal attack or even a indication of any type of
character flaw. There is a clich that says something along the lines of failure means you tried. People
that are actively pursuing goals and dreams are unsuccessful often and they perceive it as part of the

failure is it s an equalizer. Realize that the strongest people in the world, the most famous people have

would leap back up, not really think about the fall and go back to running, right? Children have a

Recommendation On Future Policy For The 30 % Solar...
TO: American Public
FROM: Schuyler Ream, PPD 225 Student
DATE: 11/18/2015
SUBJECT: Recommendation on future policy for the 30% Solar Investment Tax Credit
I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Created in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the 30% Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC) is the solar
industry s most important and only public policy that supports the deployment of solar energy in the
United States to both the residential and commercial sectors. The 30% ITC has been successful in
increasing deployment and lowering costs of solar energy. Since the eight year extension created by
the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, solar prices have consistently fallen year after
year while installation rates and efficiencies have continued to rise, thus equaling the average cost of
solar energy dropping by more than 73% and a 6500% annual growth rate since 2006, as reported by
an independent analysis done by Bloomberg New Energy and Finance dated September 15, 2015,
commissioned by the Solar Energy Industries Association. However, the ITC is set to expire
December 31, 2016, and a failure to extend the ITC, according industry experts reported by PR
Newswire July 22, 2015, would result in 90 percent of all solar companies going out of business and
thousands of jobs lost . In response to the looming expiration date, Ari Natter, Bloomberg Energy
Reporter, reports the solar industry is launching an all out push starting in 2015 to extend the
investment tax credit . At this point, there are 3

A Barriers For Peace, Or A Barrier To Peace
A Barrier for Peace, or a Barrier to Peace?
Introduction/ Background
Walls are usually built by humans to achieve the purpose of security and privacy. But, what if a wall
was built to limit the movement of hundreds of thousands of people separating them from their lands
and relatives and preventing them from practicing their fundamental daily rights? This is the case in
Palestine; where Israel has constructed a physical wall that isolates Palestinians in the West Bank and
significantly affects their daily life.
The Apartheid Wall as named by the Palestinians, or the Security Fence as named by Israelis is a 709
Kilometer barrier that extends through the Palestinian West Bank separating it from Israel (B Tselem,
2011). The Wall is a multi layered fence system consisting of razors, stones, concrete, barbered wires
along with checkpoints and watchtowers. The concrete sections of the Wall, near Jerusalem, Ramallah,
and Bethlehem, are more than 8 meters high, more than twice the height of the famous Berlin Wall.

Children With A Single Parent Home
Today children that are raised in a single parent home are viewed differently than those who have both
parents when being raised. Many think that having both parents at home is very important and the
ideal family. In the world today more than a third of the population is being raised with only a mother.
These calculations have doubled over time and keeps growing as the days go on (Anderson, 2013).
Some say that being raised by only one parent is impossible, but by statistics it is proven wrong. It is
more common for children to be raised with only one parent than it is for them to have both parents
under one roof. Many parents get divorced, or one gets deathly sick or passes away. Others just leave
there children because they don t want them or simply can t provide for the child. Children grow

goes and the right paths to take. There are many problems and challenges when a child is raised by
only one parent versus having both a mother and a father. Does a child need both parents to live in the
society we have today? Does a single parent get any help when raising a child alone? When
researching and gathering evidence this topic has become an intriguing argument all around the world
today. What do you really need when raising a child properly? When properly raising a child it doesn t
really matter how the structure of the family is, it should be based on the values and morals

Comparing the Economic Performance of South and North Korea
Introduction An economic system of a county is a system for producing, distributing as well as
consuming goods and services. It includes a combination of various agencies, institutions, entities and
consumers, which constitute the economic structure of a particular community, or society. Both North
and South Korea have different economic systems. Collectivist Economy Collectivist economy is a
type of economy which advocates for collective control over production, as well as distribution. It puts
a lot of emphasis on collective action rather than individual action. Another name for collectivist
economy is communism economy. Apart from North Korea, other collectivist economies include
Japan and Indonesia. Economic System in South Korea The economic system of South Korea is a
capitalist economy. This is where the economy is characterized by free markets, as well as the absence
of government intervention with regard to the country s economy. One of the key characteristic of a
capitalist economic system is the ability of firms and private individuals to accumulate capital and
property in the economy of a country. In reality, capitalist economic system will require some
government intervention, mainly to protect private property. Capitalist economic system in South
Korea is a self supporting and does not need government intervention and implementation. This is
because of the private sector and private ownership running the economy. This system enables the

I Am About Last Night
I wake up just enough to roll over. As I do so, the annoying, repetitive sound of my alarm clock fills
my ears. I groan and roll myself out of bed. I trudge over to my dresser and turn the alarm off. I don t
feel like going to school today, especially since I know that Dad will be calling Mom while I m gone.
As I walk to the bathroom, I grab my phone from my desk. I see that I have two new messages and
one new email. I read the first message, which is from my mom, telling me that she d be gone this
morning. I open the second message, and of course, it s from Damon.
Text to Karrison from Damon:
Good morning, beautiful. I hope you have an amazing day! I m still very sorry about last night. I know
I must have disappointed you, and I feel awful. I promise that I ll make it up to you!
Well, I don t know how he would expect that he disappointed me. I m great at hiding my emotions! I
wonder how he s going to try to make it up to me.
I walk over to the mirror and almost shriek at my appearance. My eyes are crusty, and my long, brown
hair is sticking out in all directions. I was painfully reminded of Einstein. I look down at my sink and
groan. I look like an Einstein raccoon! I forgot to clean my makeup off before I went to sleep. Looks
like I have a bunch of work to do before I leave for school.
With excitement, I realize it s Friday and almost jump up and down. Face and hair or outfit first? I
should try to do something with my hair first. I wash my face and dry

Importance Of The County Commissioners For Our County
The county commissioners do a lot for our county! They make our county have nice EMS places and
good police and county sheriffs. They are a good part of our county. I think they help us with
everything we do in our everyday lives. Without them we would have no shopping stores or anything,
we would have to go out of county just to get groceries. That would give that county more money and
less money for us in ours. Without them we wouldn t even have a county what so ever. The let us
make our own decisions of what we should have every once in a while like who to run our state or
town or even to keep it safe so I

National Athletic Director At The National College...
One day I hope to get the opportunity to work for the National College Athletic Association. The
National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is an association made up of 1,261 institutions,
conferences, organizations and individuals devoted to the administration of intercollegiate athletics
(NCAA.org). The purpose of the National College Athletic Association is to maintain intercollegiate
athletics as an essential part of the educational program and the athlete as an essential part of the
student population. The association s purpose is to help student athletes maintain a proper balance in
life. They enforce the concept of athletes putting school before anything else. Specifically within the
NCAA organization, I hope to become an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think that in order to be a successful athletic director, one needs to keep the functional areas of sport
management in mind. These four areas include: planning, organizing, leading, and evaluating
(Masteralexis, Barr, Hums, 2015). The first aspect of planning is something that athletic directors need
to be very good at doing. An athletic director needs to have both short and long term goals. If I were to
become an athletic director, I would want to make sure all of the student athletes received the proper
tools to succeed both on and off the court. I would make sure each student athlete, scholarship and non
scholarship, had a tutor available to them at all times. I know that the University of Florida allows
each athlete to have a tutor, however, it is optional. The reason that it is optional is because it is
something that is enforced by the coaches. Therefore, I would make it a university athletic department
policy that all coaches must force their student athletes to use a tutor. I would want to make sure each
athlete used their tutor to their advantage so they could be aware of what was going on in the
classroom. This would also allow students to not be stressed about their studies, and that way they
have a proper balance between their sport and education. It is a huge goal of the NCAA for their
students to have a proper balance in life, therefore I think through this plan I could implement that
balance. In order to make this possible

Anti Doping Negatives
The purpose of this report is to outline how WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) and ASADA
(Australian Sport Anti Doping Authority, 2017) outline the positives and negatives of anti doping and
how these affect the players and stakeholders. Another point that will be discussed is how these
policies work and if they can be change. Doping is when athletes take performance enhancing drugs in
order to become better at their sport. Doping was first used by the ancient romans in gladiator sports.
(Harvard, 2017 Oct 9) The term doping comes from the Dutch word dop , which was an alcoholic
beverage used by South African Zulu warriors (Harvard, 2017 Oct 9) Doping is becoming more wide
spread due to the fact that athletes want to be better than everyone else. Money is playing a huge
reason in why people are doping. More sponsors more money. So once one person starts doping
another person will. Just so they can be the best at their particular sport. Some examples of substances
that are used include steroids which increases your testosterone will give you muscle growth,
endurance and your performance more, blood doping which is less common but manly used in cycling
is when you boost the amount of red blood cells in your system so it carry s more oxygen to your
muscles, analgesics are used to relieve pain when you are injured which enables you to train while
injured so you stay fit and healthy. (Reuters Kelland, K. (2017) These are just some examples of
doping. There are over 200

Theme Of Death Of The Moth By Virginia Woolf
The story by Virginia Wolf universally illustrates the struggle for life and death. It is a common phrase
that death is inevitable the story shows the struggles with life that are not won in the end. In The Death
of the Moth, Woolf observes a moth flying against a window pane, seemingly trying to get to the
outside world, and not aware that the window pane is blocking its way. There is truth in saying the
only commonality between lives is the inevitability of death. The Death of the Moth by Virginia Woolf
explores this theme. Although the thesis is never formally stated, it can be interpreted to be that death
is inescapable, and in spite of life being an uphill battle, it can never be won as eventually death
claims us all. Taking into account Woolf s personal life, which was plagued with bouts of mental
illnesses, ultimately resulting in her suicide; this essay could be considered a comparison between her
own life and the moth s. This essay is intended for the general public, but it particularly resonates with
women and minorities, this is because of Woolf s description of the moth s battles. In retelling the
moth s struggles the audience develops a certain bond with the moth, this is amplified for people who
have been repressed, as they can relate to the hardships this looked down upon moth has endured.
The author has a pessimistic view on life and death which is manifested in the tone. Woolf is clear on
her view that life is just one battle after another, and that

Islam Is The Religion Of The Muslims
Islam is the religion of the Muslims, a monotheistic faith regarded as revealed through Muhammad as
the Prophet of Allah. The origin of Islam is dated back to 622 A.D. in Saudi Arabia. Muhammad
experienced an angelic visitation. This is how the secular world views the start of Islam, but according
to Islam there are much deeper roots. According the the Quran, it did not originate with Muhammad,
but it was given by Gabriel to Muhammad. Surah 26:192 195 says, This is a revelation from the Lord
of the universe. The Honest Spirit (Gabriel) came down with it, to reveal it into your heart that you
may be one of the warners, in a perfect Arabic tongue. Muslims trace their faith back to Abraham, but
they rather follow the family line of Ishmael to be traced to Muhammad. As Christians we focus on
the family line of Isaac and trace it to Jesus. They say that Abraham and Ishmael established the rites
of Hajj, or pilgrimage, which Muslims still practice today. Those are the basic origins of the Islamic
faith. We can relate Christianity, Judaism, and Islam based on the fact that they trace their roots back
to Abraham. Although, we can see many differences between these religions in different beliefs. Islam
is the youngest of the major World Religions. Although, it is already the second youngest, and by 2020
it is planned for there to be about 2.2 billions Muslims which is how many Christians there are now.
There are many well know Muslims that include Dr. Oz, Shaq, Kareem Abdul Jabbar,

Pros And Cons Of Is Google Making USupid Essay
In today s American society we as a nation are evolving technologically. By just a click of a button
products, goods, services and information are readily available and easily accessible. However, the
question a raised to how beneficial technology is and how this fast pace world affects us. Realistically,
with each era the more feasible thing is to alter with the time. On the other hand, by altering ourselves
to fit with the pace of society, now we need to factor in the pros and cons of this alteration. Every day
we hear on the news killing, robbery or some form of terror attack. Indeed, the crime rate and
devastation levels are extremely high in America. Nevertheless, through technology the invention of

Through technology we are introduce to various gadgets that assists us in many different areas of our
lives. Such as smart TVs, smart phones, laptops, tablets, computers and many more. In recent
discussion of writing, a controversy issue has been whether texting affects our formal writing. In
Michaella Cullington article Does Texting Affect Writing, Cullington contested that constant texting
interfering with students formal writing skills. To clarify her claims, a seventh and ninth grade teacher
said (They say, I Say. Pg. 363) she as to spend extra time in class editing papers and must explicitly
remind her students that it is not acceptable to use slang and abbreviations in writing. In this case, her
students are abbreviating their words instead of writing formal. Despite the anecdotal, sadly I found
myself forgetting how to spell certain words. Because of auto corrections and suggestions my smart
phones give, I no longer need to break words up in syllables to spell them. If I start typing and make a
mistake a list of suggestions appears, all I need to do is select the correct one. No brainstorm as simple
as that. In fact, our brains are like a muscle and in order for it to grow strong and us being wise we
have to use it, if we don t used it, it will

  • 3. The Role Of Self Assembly And The Construction Of A... A nanoparticle is the most basic component in the construction of a nanostructure. In general, the size of a nanoparticle spans the range between 1 and 100 nm. The properties of many conventional materials change when formed from nanoparticles. This is typically because nanoparticles have a greater surface area per weight than larger particles which causes them to be more reactive than other molecules. Self assembly refers to the process by which nanoparticles or other distinct components spontaneously organize due to direct specific interactions and/or indirectly, through their environment. Self assembly is typically linked with thermodynamic equilibrium, the organization of the structures characterized the minimum of the system s free energy. An important aspect of self assembly is that the building blocks organize into macroscopic structures. This can happen through direct interactions (Interparticle forces) or through indirect interactions like using a template or external field as a guide. The grouping of matter in nanomaterials can be broken down into two techniques. Top down miniaturization techniques or bottom up methods which are typically based on self assembly or directed assembly. The most widely used materials in bottom up assembly are colloid micro and nanoparticles. A lot of time and effort has recently been spent on the fabrication of functional materials from organized particles. These advanced assemblies can find applications in areas such as photonics, ... The Confession And On The Trinity Along with his writings in The Confessions and On the Trinity, Augustine of hippo used the section titles the literal Meaning of Genesis in order to show Gods love through three visions of God. According to Dupré and Weisman, we experience three kinds of vision: one through the eyes, a second through the soul, and a third through the intuition of the mind (Dupré and Weisman pg. 71). Most humans in society are expected to understand the first of all the visions. To see through the eyes as spiritual vision is expected for most humans. However, to see things in a corporeal way through the body is more difficult. We use sight as a physical sensory and flesh of God is outside of the body s vision. The third type of vision is intellectual, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This Sunday the reoccurring message was Growth through Adversity . I treated the mediation as an after church devotion to help clear my mind and get my ready for the school week. My goal for the day through mediation was to digest the message from church and clear my mind from the last eek. Ultimately, I was able to mediate and focus on the clearing of my mind and optimism for the next week of school ahead of me. (Journal Feb 5th). Like Augustine said, how we think, how we remember, and how we love will show of true connection with Union with God. So, we must digest the information we receive through sermons and scriptures and use it to analyze God and grow a deeper connection with him. In his writings, Augustine makes it clear that direct contact with God will naturally heal people. Therefore, I believe through the use of a sacred word or phrase, one is able to create this deeper connection with God. Augustine encourages the idea of humans being made in the trinity so serenity is only possible if one connects with God and transforms their suffering into blessings. • 8. The Philosophical Hermeneutics Of Biblical Interpretations The concept of understanding knowledge and truth corresponds to the whole of our hermeneutic experience (Gadamer, 2013 p.250). In this essay, I aim to address Gadamerian philosophical hermeneutics under conditions to support consciousness that informs us of our relationship with the environment (Clingerman, Treanor, Drenthen, Utsler,2013, p.4). I will provide an a short historical background of hermeneutics particular to the function of the religious text. For the long term goal, I examine air quality as an environmental hermeneutic issue by connecting to Gadamer s argument that understanding belongs to the specific nature of our human life.( Gadamer,2014). Biblical Interpretations From a historical perspective, it is important to note that the term hermeneutics has been applied to justify biblical interpretations. Unique to the principles of biblical interpretations one may reference the hermeneutics relationship between the New and Old Testaments as Jesus interprets himself to the Jews regarding scriptural prophecy (Bentz, 2015, p.35). Moreover, the study of the term hermeneutics emerged in non biblical literature, thus forming the foundation that focused on man s art, actions, and writings (Bentz,2015), that gives respect to different beliefs. In non biblical literature, hermeneutics cores to the discipline of human science by philosophical thinkers; they critique text to further their dimensions of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON ENDOPOLYSACCHARIDES AND EXOPOLYSACCHARIDES PRODUCTION FROM SOME BASIDIOMYCETES WITH STUDYING THE ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTI TUMOUR EFFECTS OF PLEUROTUS OSTREATUS MUSHROOM ABSTRACT: Edible mushrooms have attracted a great attention due to their nutritional, as well as medicinal properties. In the present study, different mushroom species were extracted partially purified and their endopolysaccharides (extracted from the fruiting bodies) as well as exopolysaccharides (extracted from the filtrate of cultured mycelia) production were determined to evaluate their anti tumour and anti oxidant effects. The present results showed that Pleurotus ostreatus FIII endopolysaccharide has the maximum intracellular production as compared with the other studied mushrooms. Different mushroom s endo and exopolysaccharides inhibited the proliferation of Ehrlich tumour (EAT) cells in vitro; however, P. ostreatus FIII endopolysaccharide exhibited the maximum anti tumour effect. One specific instance of this is the federal government s poster campaign to instruct the Eskimo mothers about how to use their newly awarded family allowance funds by the Department of National Health and Welfare (148). An ethnographic approach to the film provides additional understanding of the tragic situation, as well as an objective analysis of how leadership overcame huge challenges in that period of time. In the film, Harvey Milk is portrayed as having many leaderful qualities. This is because although he becomes a voice for the community and speaks on behalf of others, he is also an effective listener. The concurrent tenet of leaderful practice is the most revolutionary. It suggests that in any community, more than one leader can operate at the same time, so leaders willingly and naturally share power with others (Raelin, 2003, p.1). Thus, a true leader inspires others to act, as within the transformational leadership ideal (Judge Piccolo, 2004), and sees him or herself as working within a situation that furthers a specific goal and in which they are a servant who furthers a greater cause (Greenleaf, 2002). For Harvey Milk in the movie, this is especially true. ...servant leadership is an approach focusing on leadership from the point of view the leader and his or her behaviors. • 21. Sigmund Freud s Psychodynamic Theory Sigmund Freud s psychodynamic theory can be described as a view that explains personality in terms of conscious and unconscious forces such as unconscious desires and beliefs (Chegg Study). Sigmund Freud developed this theory in the early 20th century based on the assumption that our unconscious desires influence many of our actions in our everyday lives (McLeod 2009). In addition, another assumption of Freud s that contributed to this theory was that our childhood experiences influence us greatly and make us into the person we are today. Freud proposed the psychodynamic theory according to which personality consisted of the Id, the super ego and the ego (McLeod 2009). The Id is the pleasure principle concerned with instincts and pleasure and operates by primary processes which thereby, does not take into account the reality principle (McLeod 2009). For example, if you were extremely thirsty; instead of going to buy a bottle of water or refilling your own bottle, you would drink from someone else s water bottle without their permission and without them knowing. This example demonstrates how the Id principle operates without taking into account what is socially acceptable in order to satisfy a need. The ego is the reality principle which not only operates by secondary processes concerned with reason and logic, but also mediates between the Id and super ego according to reality (McLeod 2009). The Complex Idea Of Good And The Power Of Faith Benjy Herrmann Paper #3 October 27, 2016 GESM 110 12:30 1:50 TTh The Complex Idea of Good and the Power of Faith Violence, specifically with murder, is inherently morally wrong in the vast majority of cases. But through analysis of Judah Rosenthal in Woody Allen s Crimes and Misdemeanors, Kenny and Tub in Tobias Wolff s Hunters in the Snow, and the Grandma and The Misfit in Flannery O Connor s A Good Man is Hard to Find, the traditional sides of good and bad in a murder are blurred. One of the most important ideas seen throughout these pieces is the role of faith (or lack thereof) in decisions, whether in a life or death situation or in general, and that the question of what exactly makes a moral, good individual is not a simple one. As the idiom there is more than meets the eye suggests, there has yet to be a completely pure, good human, despite how they might first appear. Despite the contributions of the other characters, The Misfit is the best character to convey these themes, as his struggle with faith in the story requires complex analysis, as the individual presents multiple angles to both the reader and the grandmother. The Misfit is first introduced in the first paragraph of O Connor s short story, as Grandma tells her family of the notorious killer who has just escaped from prison (O Connor 1042). While a fair assumption, The Misfit is immediately established as an antagonist and an immoral individual. He then is not mentioned until right before Pitty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Michael The University of Alabama Introduction Stephen Thoma, W. Pitt Derryberry, and H. Michael Crowson published an article (2013) outlining the development and testing of an intermediate concept measure (ICM) of moral reasoning on an adolescent population, and one of the unexpected findings was the difficulty of research participants to accurately identify bad choices and justifications (Thoma et al., 2013). It is important to note that an analogous pattern was found in a previous study utilizing the ICM with young adults in their last year of dental school (Bebeau Thoma, 1999). To the author s knowledge, a similar study has not been conducted on a younger segment of the population. The purpose of this proposal is to assess whether children aged 9 11 also struggle when identifying bad choices and justifications. Jean Piaget presented his construct of moral reasoning in his theory of development, and he found there were two stages of moral reasoning heterenomous and autonomous. Roads affect us daily, just as Roman roads affected the Roman Empire. Roman roads were a crucial part of Rome because they helped Rome expand their empire, trade easily, and move ideas along. Not only that, but Roman roads were amazing engineering accomplishments. Roman roads helped Rome expand and connect the entire empire together. Altogether, Roman roads stretched about 53,000 miles. The road consisted of a trench that was filled with stones, pebbles, rough gravel, broken concrete, shards of rock, shards of pottery, or. This was the foundation. The paving stones were placed on top and the center of the road was raised to allow for the drainage of water in rainy weather. Ditches were dug on the sides of the road to take the water and move it away. Pedestrians would walk on sidewalks, which were about 1 3 meters in width. These sidewalks were separated from the road by a curb made of stone slabs. Roads were reinforced and perfected in order for Romans to be able to move quickly. The average road was about 4.2 meters wide, enough to let two wheeled vehicles pass each other. Because Romans knew that the shortest distance between two places is a straight line, roads were built in straight lines, only curving when an obstacle was impossible to pass. To be able to move in a straight line, Romans built bridges, diverted creeks, cut forests, dug flat areas, drained marshes, cut into mountainsides, and tunneled through mountains to keep the road straight. This performance was the third of three plays I saw at the Arizona Repertory Theatre. The other two plays were Epic Proportions by Larry Coen and David Crane and Hands on a Hardbody by Doug Wright. These were the first plays I have been to, not only while attending the University of Arizona, but in my generation as a teenager. All together, these performances were amazing and have brought a newly improved insight to my perception of theatre. The hard work and dedication by the actors, directors, producers, cast members, and sound developers were absolutely incredible and I have tremendous respect for their efforts during the overall sequence of producing the plays. The most recent performance I saw, Born Yesterday, can be described and reflected on through various topics such as lighting, sound, directing and producing. I decided to arrive a half hour early to witness all the elements of the stage, audience, and theater in order to truly express my thoughts on the external features of the play. The Marroney theatre has 332 seats which were designed like movie theatre chairs. They were manufactured to be a bold red with black carpet surrounding the floor to cover the entire theatre space. It is a common phrase that death is inevitable the story shows the struggles with life that are not won in the end. In The Death of the Moth, Woolf observes a moth flying against a window pane, seemingly trying to get to the outside world, and not aware that the window pane is blocking its way. There is truth in saying the only commonality between lives is the inevitability of death. The Death of the Moth by Virginia Woolf explores this theme. Although the thesis is never formally stated, it can be interpreted to be that death is inescapable, and in spite of life being an uphill battle, it can never be won as eventually death claims us all.
