Racial Inequality And Police Brutality
Racial inequality is a disparity in opportunity and treatment that occurs as a result of someone s race
(Racial Inequality, 1996 2017, line 1). Racial profiling and police brutality falls under racial
inequality. According to Nazgol Ghandnoosh (2017), Officers racially biased use of discretion either
intentional or unintentional is one cause of racial disparities in police contact that are not explained by
differences in crime rates (p. 6). When one group is targeted more than another it will cause the group
that is targeted the most to have more involvement. The crime rates for black people is higher than
those of white people because more black people are arrested than white people. Nazgol Ghandnoosh

My clinical rotation was at St. Francis Hospital on the orthopedic/medical surgical floor, 5 1. I was
assigned JB for a patient 10/7 and 10/8. He was one day post op from an elective bilateral knee
arthroplasty.
JB is a 69 year old Caucasian male who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 251 pounds. He has a history of
hypertension, benign prostatic hyperplasia, degenerative joint disease, and renal calculi. Medications
taken at home: Nifedipine 60 mg. QD to manage his hypertension and nonsteriodal anti
inflammatories for the DJD.

Laboratory results showed a low hemoglobin of 8.6g/dl (normal 12 16g/dl) and a low hematocrit of
25.2% (normal 36 41%). JB received 1 unit (500 cc) of RBCs on 10/7 and 10/8. All other laboratory

elevated temperature because JB showed no other signs of infection through physical assessment or
laboratory values.
JB had clear lung sounds bilaterally. He had palpable pedal pulses and was positive for color, motion,
and sensation in both affected extremities. Capillary refill was less than 2 seconds. His skin was warm
and clean. He was diaphoretic due to an increased temperature. He had a quarter size reddened area on
his coccyx that was being monitored and protective nursing interventions were instituted to prevent
skin breakdown.

Definition Of Civility At Merriam-Webster
I found a Dictionary definition for civility at Merriam Webster stating civility means polite,
reasonable, and respectful behavior. How I think of civility means the same as Merriam Webster but it
s also much more than being polite, reasonable, and respectful behavior it s understanding people s
feelings showing them respect and understanding listening to someone that s having bad day just to be
there for them. Some rules I live by are in our household we are say positive and nice things to each

Benefits Of Being A Radiologist
A radiologist is someone who looks at medical images (such as X Rays, Computerized Tomography
scans, ultrasounds, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and uses it to detect medical problems. Some of
the duties that radiologists perform include: diagnosing illnesses and treating patients using medical
radiation. A radiologist can work at a public or private hospital or set up their own clinic. Working
conditions for a radiologist who is employed at a hospital will not differ much from a clinic. You will
not have to work not shifts or weekends just like a clinic. Residents usually take care of those shifts.
Some of the skills that are essential for becoming a radiologist include being good following
directions, taking the time to be precise in your measurements and having good communication skills.
I am really good at following directions as I am always scared of the outcome of messing up. I also
take the time to measure things out very carefully unless I am positive that tweaking things a little bit
might result in a better outcome. I do have good communication skills when I am talking directly to a
person in front of me but when I am writing an email I don t seem to describe things in as much detail
as I should. One of the ways to work on this is to ask myself the five W s (Who, What, When, Where,
Why) when writing my email to someone. To become a radiologist one of the first steps that you must
take is to attend college and obtain a bachelor degree in biology or physics. After

Making Glue Out Of Miley Cyrus
Lets talk about glue and even glue in stick form. The earliest signs of glue was in cave drawings from
5000 years ago. They would mix their form of glue with their paint to make it stick better and have a
layer of protection over it. ( Koontz, Robi. ) Early glue was made from a lot of animals parts such as
hides, horns, bones, and hooves. Sometimes blood, brains, and fish was also used to make glue. When
scientists made a better glue for pottery, utensils, and weapons people began to get more into unsung
glue. In early years people would use glue as a hair gel time to time. Animal fat and bees wax were
found in mummified remains to make people stay together for thousands of years. Scientist today are

Examples Of Context And Textual Evidence
Evidence (Context and Textual Evidence) Inference Commentary
Dialectical journal entry #1:
Context: Henry was reminiscing on his decision to join the army.
Evidence: He had burned several times to enlist. Tales of great movements shook the land. They might
not be distinctly Homeric, but there seemed to be much glory in them. He had read of marches, sieges,
conflicts, and he had longed to see it all. His busy mind had drawn for him large pictures extravagant
in color, lurid with breathless deeds (Crane 3).
Trait(s) Demonstrated: Courage, Naivety
Commentary: Henry wanted to join the army because he had a romanticized idea of war, and he
wanted to be a great man. This shows his courage, but also shows how young he is.

How Did Sherman s March Affect The South
Sherman s March to the Sea

November 15 until December 21, 1864. ( Shermans March to Sea ). Sherman s March was also known
as the Savannah campaign only because the March ended in the capture of port Savannah. ( Sherman s
March to Sea ). The March was led by Maj. Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman of the Union Army. (
Sherman s March to Sea ).Sherman s March had many negative effects on the north and south, but it
ended as a win for the north. (Union army). It was classified as a win for the union(North) because it
is known for its boldness as well as the utter destruction on the South, both to its industry as well as
military targets, effectively destroying the Confederate s capacity to wage war. (History Net).

of the South. Sherman stripped the civilians of more food than they needed nor could supply and carry
along as they travel through the south. Sherman also destroyed factories, mills, cotton gills,
warehouses, train depots, bridges and railroads. In the end Sherman was recognized as a great
strategist, a forceful leader, and together with Ulysses G. the ablest Union general of the war even
though he blazed a wide path of destruction along the South. (Groce).

Leonardo Drew Research Paper
Raised in the projects of Bridgeport, Connecticut, where the city dump could be seen from every
corner of his apartment, a young Leonardo Drew was exposed to many raw and decaying sources of
inspiration which would later shape his creative and rustic style of composition. Drew would often use
materials from the city dump and repurpose them to create something beautiful. One of the biggest
reasons for his artistic success would be the youth group he attended which offered free supplies and
lessons from mentors. It is from this experience which led Drew to have his first exhibition at the age
of thirteen. This prodigy like image gained the attention of DC Comics and Marvel Comics talent
scouts. From then on, he further expanded his artistic abilities ... Show more content on

when he looks at an array of rustic cubes spread about the exhibition floor, he can see the projects in
which he grew up in. When he sees his dark creation of scraps, roots, and twisted, oxidized metal, he

Analysis Of sleepless On Seattle, The Communication...
In applying the above theories to the movie Sleepless in Seattle, the communication privacy
management theory appears several times throughout the film. Annie has two contrasting experiences
with privacy boundaries. Annie is engaged Walter, a wonderfully kind and gentle man, who absolutely
adores her, but has an obvious character flaw with his constant talk of allergies. Annie gives the
impression that she is incredibly happy with Walter when in reality she is quite bored with him. While
Annie loves Walter s tenderness, she can t disclose her deep dark secrets with him, especially her
doubts about their engagement and feelings of she s just settling for what s good for her and not the
magic that Sam describes during his radio interview. She cannot stop thinking of Sam and Jonah after
listening in on a talk show radio broadcast as she s driving one evening. Sam s words are constantly
on Annie s mind and she begins to wonder if Sam is possibly her soul mate. With Walter she has a
thick, impenetrable wall that is holding in her deep secrets. At one point, she hides in a closet one
night while Walter is sleeping so she can listen to Sam speaking on the radio. When Walter catches her
in the closet, she lies to him instead of confessing her apprehensions and obsession. Throughout the
entire film, she struggles with herself for withholding this important information from Walter, but she
has total ownership of that private information and does not feel the need to

The Nazi Party Essay examples
The Nazi Party
During the 1930s, the Nazi Regime attempted to construct what it believed to be a utopian society.
The Nazis rise to power can be viewed as a modern revolution, in which their objective to create an
ideal Nazi Volksgemeinschaft (community of people) was achieved by highly regulating all areas of
German life. From the arts and literature to sexual activity and race relations, the Nazi Party
implemented legislation that restricted what the German public could see, hear, read, do and even
think! The Nazis were able to maintain control over the masses through propaganda, codified and
unwritten values, and destructive actions (Night of Broken Glass) that actually determined the
conditions under which individuals had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many Germans were already used to segregating men and women based on their gender differences
by placing them into traditional, yet separate, roles. Hitler uses the public s tendency to create a social
divide between males and females as his reasoning, or logic, for creating a more extreme barrier
between Aryans and Jews. Some of the similarities of Hitler s two speeches are as follows. In both
speeches, Hitler makes a clear distinction between two groups of people, emphasizes the separation of
these groups (women from men, Jews from Aryans), and claims that this separation will in both cases
lead to a heightened understanding between the groups. Both speeches illustrate and support Nazi
ideology on grounds of nature. Both are nation oriented. And finally, in both speeches Hitler attempts
to eliminate one of the two groups (women in the first speech, Jews in the second) from the public
sphere and political arena. Moreover, the characteristics that these two speeches have in common
function in a way that endorse Nazi ideals and illustrate Hitler s oppressive control over Germany,
while preserving an image of legitimized authority.
In both speeches, Hitler mentions two distinct groups of people and determines their responsibilities in
order to explicate which groups should and should not occupy social positions. In his speech to the
National Socialist Women s section, he clearly distinguishes between women and men. Hitler even
places men and women

Limited Liability Companies ( Llcs ) Essay
Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) Rationale. The advent of the limited liability company in the
1990 s came about primarily to promote small business start ups by providing substantial asset
protection, simpler rules, and favorable state and local tax treatments (Millon, 2007; Riles Whitlock,
2003: Vandervoort, 2004). LLCs are also typically easier and less expensive to form and manage than
a corporation and quickly became the entity of choice (Hopson Hopson, 2014). Similarities to
corporations. Like corporations, LLCs are separate legal entities, and as with the shareholders of
corporations, the members of LLCs are provided significant asset protection from creditors and other
stakeholders (Riles Whitlock, 2003) by limiting the liability to the amount of the capital contribution
(Albert, 2015). This shifts the risk of failure and insolvency from the members to the creditors
(Millon, 2007).
Differences from corporations. Many of the differences between LLCs and corporations have been the
crux in the area of litigation, the first being the lack of corporate formalities. Unlike a corporation, an
LLC can be managed by its members or appointed managers and does not require periodic meetings.
Although every state now has LLC legislation (Albert, 2015) which impose default fiduciary duties,
these duties can be modified or eliminated altogether by the members of the LLC (Raju Remming,
2012). As opposed to corporations following FASB ASC 105 Generally

unsightly lawns and vacant lots, crime, bad roads, old plumbing nonworking street lights and many
other problems. It is time to come together Detroit was once a beautiful city and can be once more the
architectural dream in the early 19th century. The craftsmanship has declined the hand carved wood
trim, stained glass windows and many other antiquates that made Detroit the great motor city and one

city by buying into their communities. Buying into a community would require homeowners and
renters who wish to become potential homeowners to pay a monthly fee with a reduced amount
toward the purchase of their home. The fee would cover some amenities such as lawn maintenance,
snow removal, and working street lights, the removal of blight. Citizens would be allowed to

Marine Debris Research Paper
What is Marine Debris?
Every potato chip bag thrown on the floor, every balloon released into the air, and every gum wrapper
discarded on the sidewalk has an affect on our planet. In the short term we view these acts as
miniscule and irrelevant, but what most of us fail to understand is that every act of pollution has a
snowball effect that only harms us and our environment. Unfortunately, most of the plastic waste we
throw on the floor ends up on our beaches, in our waterways, and in our oceans. Especially in Florida,
where everyone is at most 45 mins from the beach, it is not difficult for trash to find its way to our
oceans. Marine debris, ocean trash or ocean pollution, regardless of its many names the rhetoric still
stands; every piece of litter has a ripple effect that ultimately makes it to our oceans.
What are the challenges with Marine Debris? Causes: The causes for Marine Debris are not very
complicated. Any man made object that intentionally or unintentionally ends up in our oceans is
considered marine debris ( Trash pollution, 2015) . This can be cigarette buds, plastic containers or
beer glasses. According to an article published by the Ocean Health ... Show more content on

Homosexuals In The Film Milk
Homosexuals have been oppressed since before the word existed. Even in the 21st century, gays still
face constant discrimination. Still, the world is much more gay friendly than it used to be. Crucial to
this change was the gay rights movement of the 1970s. The 2008 film Milk depicts the life and
activism of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to hold public office. The movie portrays the public
s negative attitude towards gays with distressing accuracy. Milk reflects the public s opposition to
laws protecting gays. The main obstacles Milk fights against are people trying to abrogate non
discrimination laws for gays in the workplace. Anita Bryant and John Briggs were prominent anti gay

He did most of this work in the Midwest, a very different environment from Harvey Milk s San

Kieschnick was one of the first to promote gay rights in the Midwest. Part of the reason so many gays
were out in San Francisco was that Milk encouraged them to come out, believing that their cause
would be aided if everyone realized they knew someone gay. This had not reached the Midwest, and
for many students, Kieschnick was the first gay person they had ever met. The San Franciscans in
Milk really did know about gays, but they cannot be compared to rural Midwesterners.
The movie was also accurate in its depiction of violence towards homosexuals. Kieschnick recalls,
And certainly there were death threats. I had multiple death threats. I had people throwing things at

welcomed the Americans for two reasons to provide a buffer against illegal U.S. settlers, who were
making problems in east Texas even before the allotment was made to Austin, and to help make the
land, because only 3,500 native Mexicans had settled in Texas which is part of the Mexico state of

On March 31, Houston paused his men at Groce s Landing on the Brazos River, and for the next two
weeks, the Texans received rigorous military training. Becoming complacent and underestimating the
strength of his foes, Santa Anna further subdivided his troops. On April 21, Houston s army staged a
surprise assault on Santa Anna and his vanguard force at the Battle of San Jacinto. The Mexican
troops were quickly routed, and vengeful Texians executed many who tried to surrender. Santa Anna
was taken hostage; in exchange for his life, he ordered the Mexican army to retreat south of the Rio
Grande. Mexico refused to recognize the Republic of Texas, and intermittent conflicts between the
two nations continued into the 1840s. The annexation of Texas as the 28th state of the United States,
in 1845, led directly to the Mexican American War.
The determined Texans would continue to battle Santa Ana and his army for another year and a half
before winning their independence and establishing the Republic of Texas.
As the Anglo population swelled, Mexican authorities grew increasingly suspicious of the growing
American presence. Mexico feared that the United States planned to use the Texas colonists to acquire
the province by revolution. Differences in language and culture had produced bitter enmity between
the colonists and native Mexicans. The colonists refused to learn the Spanish language, maintained
their own separate schools, and conducted most of their trade with the United

Analysis Of The Still Mysterious Death Of Edgar Allan Poe
Edgar Allan Poe s death has stumped scientists and investigators everywhere, no one has any idea of
why he died. Poe s death is still a major mystery after he was found disheveled in the streets of
Maryland by a tavern. He was taken to a hospital, and couldn t have an official diagnostic. Poe spent
his time in the hospital going in and out of consciousness, he was in a psychotic state of mind. Many
ideas are very different in addressing the death of Poe due to the lack of evidence. However, Poe died
due to the method of cooping.
Firstly, Poe s death was by cooping because he was found outside a tavern where voters would go to
vote and then, were rewarded with beer. In article one, The Still Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe
it states, Voter fraud was extremely common in Baltimore around the mid 1800s, and the polling site
where Walker found the disheveled Poe was a known place that coopers brought their victims. (The
Still Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe) Poe was left beaten outside of the tavern. The place that is
described, where coopers left their victims seems much like the alleys that criminals leave their
victims in society today. In the second article, The Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe tells the

Analysis Of The Article The What Street
The What Street? Mom grips my wrist with her clammy hand, sweat running down her forehead from
the hot, early September Saturday. She drags seven year old me along the street before turning a
corner, ignoring my wails and protest. I don t want to go to Chinese School. What s the point of it
anyways? My friends tell me they watch television over the weekend. But sadly, my schedules are
packed with academics every day. Mom s other hand holds my sister s, only five years old and too
young to realize that the tall, brick building ahead of us is where torture awaits. Jutting from the
building s sides are two large flags, American and Taiwanese, which draw closer with every step I

My weekly stroll starts at Chatham Square, near the southern end of Mott Street. Here, the older
Chinese gather around the tables, located throughout the area. At one table located at the far end of the
square, some sit with cards in hand and ready to make a witty move. Many more stand around them to
observe the game, now at its climax. It is the classic game of Chinese Poker. Despite the its origins
from Asia, many immigrants have brought the game to America and is a favorite pastime for both the
youth and elders.
One man scratches his mustache and smirks before he slams down a combo of cards. Full house! he
boomed, proudly displaying his three kings paired with a two jack cards. The crowd jeers when the
other three players pass. The man places down a two of spade, and the other players pass again. With
only one card left in his hand, the winner is obvious, yet the crowd is willing to watch until the end.
Finally, the man places down his last card, a measly three of hearts, and the crowd cheers as they
congratulate the winner.
Though I wish I could stay to watch another game, I resume my walk, knowing the consequences if I
was to be late to music class. Immediately, the vast sense of space of Chatham Square is replaced as I
enter the narrow thoroughfare of Mott Street. Multistoried, brick buildings rise up, which are the
homes of the residents, with typical fire escapes projecting out of the building that remain unused.

Anne Hutchinson And The Persecution Of The Puritans
From 1629 to 1640, approximately 200,000 Puritans escaping King Charles I s persecution of them in
connection to the Anglican Church fled England in what was referred to as the Great Migration.
Around 21,000 of these religious refugees sailed to the northeastern coast of North America and
established the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Through ruthless cultural preservation, not only did
Massachusetts grow into the most prosperous colony of English America, but the sentiments of its
formation were also echoed by the establishment of other two most successful colonies, both of which
were founded by persecuted religious groups; Pennsylvania by the Quakers and Virginia by Royalist
Anglicans. Due to their previous experiences, the settlers of Massachusetts built a culture that centered
around the preservation and growth of their own religious practices, through the notions of order and
unity. Ironically, the means they used in order to carry out said order were often violent and through
the persecution of those who were not Puritan, similar to the way the Anglicans treated them. One of
the most notable examples of this institutional violence was that of Anne Hutchinson. Hutchinson was
a preacher who challenged the fundamental concept of predestination, which was the principle that
God had already selected those who were going to heaven and those who were going to hell. While
many Puritans considered predestination to mean that they had to live a pious life in the event that

Sub Topic One: Coastline and Benefits such as transportation
In ancient Greece the coastal region and positioning towards the sea greatly benefitted the Greeks
because it meant that by ship they could travel to areas which would effectively benefit them.
(Citation Ancient Greece #43 47) An example of this is that the dented coastline provided an amazing
docking area and the position of Greece towards the sea. This provided an efficient means of
transportation to do things such as communicate.

Comparing the Novel and Film Adaptation of Mary Shelley’s...
Comparing the Novel and Film Adaptation of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Horror and science fiction tend to present radically opposite interpretations of what may look like
comparable situations. (Kawin, 1981.) Bruce Kawin helps the reader to understand how a story in the
genre of science fiction could be adapted, or bastardized if you like, into a horror. This is similar to the
film adaptation of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. Both Frankenstein (1931) and Bride of Frankenstein
(1935) portrayed characters and events differently than Shelley would have desired. Her novel had
many deeper implications than the movie portrayed.
James Whale and the many adapters/screenwriters involved in both films leeched onto the inhumanity

Pretorius, or upon facing the rejection of a bride created specially for him. Whale makes it clear that
nothing could love or care for this monster. The character of the monster is made to fit the horror
genre.
Part of the dehumanization of Frankenstein s monster is probably resultant of the loss of framing from
Shelley s novel. Bride of Frankenstein tries to establish framing through Shelley telling the story but
never concludes it. This unsuccessful frame adds only to the history surrounding Frankenstein. The
novel is framed through the letters of Walton. The reader then experiences Victor Frankenstein s
viewpoint followed by an insightful narrative from the monster in the middle of the novel. The
monster has learned English and has free, independent thought. He tells of his experiences after being
created by Victor Frankenstein, and relates his process of learning about his language, surroundings
and human emotion. This narrative provides a significant view of the psychology of human
development, relates the problems of creating life using technology, and substantiates the Monster s
actions. The science fiction genre is necessary to the story as it allows a connection to the monster and
to many of the deeper meanings of the story. When the story becomes a horror, a distance is created
between the audience and the monster that undermines the monster s very important contribution to
the story.

Tenochtitlan Influence On The Aztecs
Kaavye Lal
Period 4 In Northern Mexico, a group of people known as the Aztecs arrived and became the
dominant tribe in the region. Since the 13th century the Aztecs developed their capital city of
Tenochtitlan as well as controlled their capital city of Tenochtitlan and their rival s city states.
However in the 16th century invaders from Spain led by conquistador, Hernan Cortez, put an end to
the Aztecs after taking Tenochtitlan ( Beyond Human Sacrifice , 2002; Montezuma, II , 1998). Though
the Aztec s civilization crumbled, much of their art remains to tell stories of their religion and rituals
that they practiced. Their art included statues of gods, ceremonial clothing, and illustrations depicting
a warrior society built upon human sacrifice. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason is that much of what the Aztec s created displays the brutal is acts they did on their
enemies. In museums exhibits that show Aztec work often have illustrations of them using prisoners
of war for their bloodletting ceremonies, battles with other tribes, and wearing the skin of their victims
( Terrible Beauty , 2002). Also the weapons that they use such as daggers with serrated edges and
bows. This gives people the idea that the Aztecs were obsessed with death, but the Aztecs practiced
agriculture as well and other works of art they created represent gods that controlled wind, the sun,
and rain ( Beyond Human Sacrifice , 2002). So the Aztecs were more well rounded they cared for war
as much as they cared for the state of their people s food and

Strategic Analysis Of Under Armour
Internal Strategic Analysis With the aid of the internal environment and IFAS (Exhibit 8), we were
able to identify strategic factors that could potentially be detrimental to the company s performance if
they were not highlighted. The first strategic factor was the company s Innovation, Research
Development. For the past decades, Under Armour has been attempting to position itself as a pioneer
in apparel performance. This is highlighted by the it s initial offering of compression shirts, which
paved the way for fellow competitors. The company was able to do this because of its strong Research
Development departments, which is shown in exhibit 8. The company s second strategic factor is its
narrow product focus. Unfortunately, because the company began as a producer of compression shirts
and it maintained this offering for long period, it eventual hampered their product offerings. At the
moment, Under Armour are only focused on athletic wear apparel and as a result have a limited
product offering. This also translate to the offerings geared towards women, which are significantly
lower than their male clientele. 3. Strategic Factors and Alternative Strategies Using the strategic
factors mentioned earlier and the TOWs matrix, we were able to create alternative strategies that the
company could potentially implement in order to stabilize their fluctuating profits. Alternative 1:
Under Armour has severely limited its product offerings due to its primary target market,

Daly Research Paper
There is minimal information regarding Daly s time in the city of New York, but it is known that he
worked at various jobs such as errand boy, hostler, and stevedore in order to save enough money to
buy passage to the city of San Francisco, California where a sister lived (Shoebotham, 1956),
(Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2004). Upon his arrival in California in 1861, Daly set about
making his fortune. Despite his lack of formal education, Daly was an intelligent, ambitious, and
driven individual (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2004). During his stay in San Francisco, he
worked odd jobs on farms and truck gardens (Shoebotham, 1956) and it was here that his future

Daly remained in Virginia City until mid summer 1869, when a devastating fire broke out in the
Comstock Lode. Daly, realizing that the boom was ending, followed the hordes of miners seeking
riches to various camps in Nevada, such as White Pine, Mineral Hill, and Eureka (Shoebotham, 1956).
The prospects for continued success were dim and Daly was at a loss as to where to go next.
Fortunately, his reputation as a competent miner and team leader, brought him to the attention of the
Walker Brothers in Salt Lake City, Utah and in 1871, Daly moved to Alta to take charge of the Emma
mine there (Shoebotham, 1956). Under Daly s supervision, the Emma quickly doubled production and
when his instinct told him the mine was playing out, Daly suggested to the Walker Brothers that they
divest themselves of their interest in the mine (Shoebotham, 1956). They followed his advice and
pleased with the results, the company promoted Daly to superintendent of the Walker Properties in the
Ophir and Dry Canyon districts outside of Salt Lake City, Utah (Shoebotham, 1956). Over the next
several years, the Walker Brothers made good use of Daly s talent by sending him to various sites

Moldavite Pendant Research Paper
The Log Bench What I need, I told myself, is to take the dogs for a walk. Maybe then I ll remember.
Two weeks I d spent looking for my grandmother s Moldavite pendant. I d been going crazy retracing
my steps notwithstanding the sentimental significance it held for me. Lying on her death bed, my
grandmother had given it to me for protection when I was fourteen. She cautioned me of the strong
energies it held and that this pendant would protect me from negative entities. Her great aunt had
given it to her with warnings of the intense frequency and high vibration that resonated from this
stone. Grandmother claimed it had brought true love into her life shortly after it was bequeathed to

to the south of the nest you will see your home. Ever since you were entrusted with the pendant I have
been watching as it s been my duty from the beginning of time to safeguard the Moldavite pendant
and its keeper. There have been many keepers of the pendant hence their reward has been protection.
Placing this pendant into the wrong hands would have an adverse impact on the earth and mankind as
it can be used destructively. It s natural green crystals have powerful transforming abilities that should
only to be used for the advantage of this planet. Are you following me? Yes, I have felt its power, I
replied as I cast my gaze downwards, but I lost it a couple weeks ago. I ve searched everywhere to no
avail. My grandmother entrusted me with it and now it s gone. I ve no idea where to search next. Will
you help me find it? Sparkles appeared in the crows eyes as he replied, It s here under my wing, and
pulled a silvery chain from under his wing. Beautiful arcs of rays projected all around us from this
delicate, oval, forest green pendant as the sunlight touched

The Five Stages Of Sleep
Most sleepers pass through five stages; 1, 2, 3, 4, and REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. A complete
sleep cycle lasts between 90 to 110 minutes, once the cycle is completed it starts back at stage one and
repeats itself. Stage 1 is a very light sleep, where you can drift in and out of sleep and you are easily
awakened. Eye movement and muscle activity will begin to slow down. People most commonly
experience muscle contractions throughout stage 1. When stage 2 begins eye movement has stopped
completely and our brain waves begin to slow down. It is in stage 3 where a person will experience
delta waves in the brain, these are very slow brain waves. The delta waves in stage 3 are intercepted
with a few smaller, faster waves. In stage 4 the brain is only producing delta waves. Stages 3 and 4 are
known as deep sleep, it is very hard to wake someone if they are in a deep sleep because there is no
eye movement or muscle activity. Stages 1 4 are the longest stages of sleep lasting between 4 to 7
hours a night. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

sleep epinephrine is released and the person s breathing speeds up and becomes irregular. There is a

muscles are temporarily paralyzed. A person s heart rate and blood pressure rise and their brain waves
are equal to those of a fully awake and functioning person. Most dreams typically occur during REM
sleep due to the fact that the brain is highly active. If a person is waken during REM sleep they are

Racial profiling and police brutality falls under racial inequality. According to Nazgol Ghandnoosh (2017), Officers racially biased use of discretion either intentional or unintentional is one cause of racial disparities in police contact that are not explained by differences in crime rates (p. 6). • 6. Benefits Of Being A Radiologist A radiologist is someone who looks at medical images (such as X Rays, Computerized Tomography scans, ultrasounds, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and uses it to detect medical problems. Some of the duties that radiologists perform include: diagnosing illnesses and treating patients using medical radiation. A radiologist can work at a public or private hospital or set up their own clinic. Working conditions for a radiologist who is employed at a hospital will not differ much from a clinic. You will not have to work not shifts or weekends just like a clinic. Residents usually take care of those shifts. Some of the skills that are essential for becoming a radiologist include being good following directions, taking the time to be precise in your measurements and having good communication skills. I am really good at following directions as I am always scared of the outcome of messing up. I also take the time to measure things out very carefully unless I am positive that tweaking things a little bit might result in a better outcome. I do have good communication skills when I am talking directly to a person in front of me but when I am writing an email I don t seem to describe things in as much detail as I should. One of the ways to work on this is to ask myself the five W s (Who, What, When, Where, Why) when writing my email to someone. To become a radiologist one of the first steps that you must take is to attend college and obtain a bachelor degree in biology or physics. After ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She cannot stop thinking of Sam and Jonah after listening in on a talk show radio broadcast as she s driving one evening. Sam s words are constantly on Annie s mind and she begins to wonder if Sam is possibly her soul mate. With Walter she has a thick, impenetrable wall that is holding in her deep secrets. Some of the similarities of Hitler s two speeches are as follows. In both speeches, Hitler makes a clear distinction between two groups of people, emphasizes the separation of these groups (women from men, Jews from Aryans), and claims that this separation will in both cases lead to a heightened understanding between the groups. Both speeches illustrate and support Nazi ideology on grounds of nature. Both are nation oriented. And finally, in both speeches Hitler attempts to eliminate one of the two groups (women in the first speech, Jews in the second) from the public sphere and political arena. Moreover, the characteristics that these two speeches have in common function in a way that endorse Nazi ideals and illustrate Hitler s oppressive control over Germany, while preserving an image of legitimized authority. In both speeches, Hitler mentions two distinct groups of people and determines their responsibilities in order to explicate which groups should and should not occupy social positions. • 15. Limited Liability Companies ( Llcs ) Essay Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) Rationale. The advent of the limited liability company in the 1990 s came about primarily to promote small business start ups by providing substantial asset protection, simpler rules, and favorable state and local tax treatments (Millon, 2007; Riles Whitlock, 2003: Vandervoort, 2004). LLCs are also typically easier and less expensive to form and manage than a corporation and quickly became the entity of choice (Hopson Hopson, 2014). Similarities to corporations. Like corporations, LLCs are separate legal entities, and as with the shareholders of corporations, the members of LLCs are provided significant asset protection from creditors and other stakeholders (Riles Whitlock, 2003) by limiting the liability to the amount of the capital contribution (Albert, 2015). This shifts the risk of failure and insolvency from the members to the creditors (Millon, 2007). Differences from corporations. Many of the differences between LLCs and corporations have been the crux in the area of litigation, the first being the lack of corporate formalities. Unlike a corporation, an LLC can be managed by its members or appointed managers and does not require periodic meetings. Although every state now has LLC legislation (Albert, 2015) which impose default fiduciary duties, these duties can be modified or eliminated altogether by the members of the LLC (Raju Remming, 2012). Every potato chip bag thrown on the floor, every balloon released into the air, and every gum wrapper discarded on the sidewalk has an affect on our planet. In the short term we view these acts as miniscule and irrelevant, but what most of us fail to understand is that every act of pollution has a snowball effect that only harms us and our environment. Unfortunately, most of the plastic waste we throw on the floor ends up on our beaches, in our waterways, and in our oceans. Anne Hutchinson And The Persecution Of The Puritans From 1629 to 1640, approximately 200,000 Puritans escaping King Charles I s persecution of them in connection to the Anglican Church fled England in what was referred to as the Great Migration. Around 21,000 of these religious refugees sailed to the northeastern coast of North America and established the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Through ruthless cultural preservation, not only did Massachusetts grow into the most prosperous colony of English America, but the sentiments of its formation were also echoed by the establishment of other two most successful colonies, both of which were founded by persecuted religious groups; Pennsylvania by the Quakers and Virginia by Royalist Anglicans. Due to their previous experiences, the settlers of Massachusetts built a culture that centered around the preservation and growth of their own religious practices, through the notions of order and unity. Ironically, the means they used in order to carry out said order were often violent and through the persecution of those who were not Puritan, similar to the way the Anglicans treated them. One of the most notable examples of this institutional violence was that of Anne Hutchinson. This is similar to the film adaptation of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein. Both Frankenstein (1931) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935) portrayed characters and events differently than Shelley would have desired. Her novel had many deeper implications than the movie portrayed. The character of the monster is made to fit the horror genre. Part of the dehumanization of Frankenstein s monster is probably resultant of the loss of framing from Shelley s novel. Bride of Frankenstein tries to establish framing through Shelley telling the story but never concludes it. This unsuccessful frame adds only to the history surrounding Frankenstein. The novel is framed through the letters of Walton. The reader then experiences Victor Frankenstein s viewpoint followed by an insightful narrative from the monster in the middle of the novel. Daly Research Paper There is minimal information regarding Daly s time in the city of New York, but it is known that he worked at various jobs such as errand boy, hostler, and stevedore in order to save enough money to buy passage to the city of San Francisco, California where a sister lived (Shoebotham, 1956), (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2004). Upon his arrival in California in 1861, Daly set about making his fortune. Despite his lack of formal education, Daly was an intelligent, ambitious, and driven individual (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2004). During his stay in San Francisco, he worked odd jobs on farms and truck gardens (Shoebotham, 1956) and it was here that his future changed forever. Daly, realizing that the boom was ending, followed the hordes of miners seeking riches to various camps in Nevada, such as White Pine, Mineral Hill, and Eureka (Shoebotham, 1956). The prospects for continued success were dim and Daly was at a loss as to where to go next. Fortunately, his reputation as a competent miner and team leader, brought him to the attention of the Walker Brothers in Salt Lake City, Utah and in 1871, Daly moved to Alta to take charge of the Emma mine there (Shoebotham, 1956). Under Daly s supervision, the Emma quickly doubled production and when his instinct told him the mine was playing out, Daly suggested to the Walker Brothers that they divest themselves of their interest in the mine (Shoebotham, 1956). They followed his advice and pleased with the results, the company promoted Daly to superintendent of the Walker Properties in the Ophir and Dry Canyon districts outside of Salt Lake City, Utah (Shoebotham, 1956). Two weeks I d spent looking for my grandmother s Moldavite pendant. I d been going crazy retracing my steps notwithstanding the sentimental significance it held for me. Lying on her death bed, my grandmother had given it to me for protection when I was fourteen. • 37. The Five Stages Of Sleep Most sleepers pass through five stages; 1, 2, 3, 4, and REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. A complete sleep cycle lasts between 90 to 110 minutes, once the cycle is completed it starts back at stage one and repeats itself. Stage 1 is a very light sleep, where you can drift in and out of sleep and you are easily awakened. Eye movement and muscle activity will begin to slow down. People most commonly experience muscle contractions throughout stage 1. When stage 2 begins eye movement has stopped completely and our brain waves begin to slow down. It is in stage 3 where a person will experience delta waves in the brain, these are very slow brain waves. The delta waves in stage 3 are intercepted with a few smaller, faster waves. In stage 4 the brain is only producing delta waves. Stages 3 and 4 are known as deep sleep, it is very hard to wake someone if they are in a deep sleep because there is no eye movement or muscle activity. Stages 1 4 are the longest stages of sleep lasting between 4 to 7 hours a night. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
