Sample Essay About Fashion Merchandiser
Since I was little, I always knew that I wanted to be a part of the fashion industry in some way or
form. So, as I got older I decided to take on the path of becoming a fashion merchandiser. Though that
path has not been easy, I knew that being a Fashion Merchandiser was a right fit. Fashion
Merchandising is defined as the promotion of apparel sales and evolves the tasks necessary to deliver
the clothing requests and meet the needs of designers and customers. A Fashion Merchandiser can
determine future style trends and must have a strong sense of style. Understanding what people want
is what makes any fashion brand successful, especially a Fashion Merchandiser. Deciding to become a

that I am about to graduate in the next few months, I now see how personal growth is so important. It
is not only important for myself, but for my career as well. I have grown so much since my freshman
year, and I know that I will grow a lot in the fashion industry as well. The growth opportunities in the
profession of a Fashion Merchandiser are knowing how to present yourself, how to follow through
tasks, becoming a leader, know the customers wants and needs, and developing interpersonal skills
and relationship with others. I know that I have what it takes to become a successful Fashion
Merchandiser because I posses the characteristics that a Fashion Merchandiser has. Characteristics
such as being ethical, responsibile, having vision, and working well with others are just to name a few.
As a Fashion Merchandiser, I feel that on my journey I will develop more skills by learning from
others and interacting with coworkers as well. Also, I hope that in my journey, I will expand my

an enduring impact on humanity and have, therefore, been called great . To best understand the great
impact that various civilizations have had on our history, this essay will choose two civilizations,
provide a succinct description of them, and provide two examples of their cultural, economic,
political, and/or intellectual achievements as well as explaining the lasting importance of each of these
achievements to global history Ancient Egypt It is even possible, that Egypt, through the solidarity, the

Sufjan Stevens Research Paper
On November 7th, 2015, I went to a concert of my favorite singer. His name is Sufjan Stevens, and I
have been listening to him for many years. I had the chance to see him live in Orlando at the Dr.
Philips performing art center. He was performing his new album in, which was very important to him
because it was about his mother. His mother had liver cancer, after some time she was not able to walk
and had to live in the hospital. Sadly, she never made it through, but Sufjan was able to say his final
goodbyes and eventually made a whole album dedicated to her and his troubled childhood. Watching
his performance ultimately, made me feel his pain and give empathy for everyone who had to go
through someone s death.
Sufjan was born in Detroit, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After we finished the food, we went to the venue to pick up our tickets and enter the venue. The first
thing I notice was how beautiful the venue actually was. I was so shocked of how gigantic and
amazing it was. The first thing I told Caleb was Wow, I never been to a place like this before Caleb
replied with I know, I think this is the best venue that we ever been to . Once the concert started it s
gotten very emotional with his music. He played almost every song from his last album about his
mother. To make it even more personal about his life story, he put childhood videos of his whole
family in the background while playing his music. He kept mostly quit before finishing almost all of
his songs and explain about what the songs meant to him. Even though he went through all of the pain
he still loved his mother and cared about her. That is why he took his time into making this album and
spending a lot of effort into his performances.
Till this day this has been the best concert that I have ever been to. It taught me that forgiving is
extremely important, especially to people that you care about. Sufjan Stevens went through so much
and he was able to demonstrate all of the pain that his mother made him go through. Even though, he
went through much pain, he was able to forgive her and lover her for her final moments of

Situational Influences on Purchasing Behavior
Abstract
There was an investigation in an attempt to understand what situational influences affect purchasing
behaviors of consumers. Fifty subjects were asked to complete a survey in determining what attributes
affect the decision to purchase a product. The effect of purchase was based on three different times of

To summarize the main objectives of the present study, we will investigate an answer to the question
of what impact situational influences on decision making have towards the purchase of a product. We
will assess three different time periods; morning, afternoon, and evening based on the decision to
drink a caffeinated or a non caffeinated soda. In order to achieve results, we decided to develop a
survey in which subjects were asked to complete a questionnaire based on their preference for the type
of soda one drinks during a particular time of day to see if there are variations in taste attributes
depending on the time of day the purchasing is taking place. We expect individuals to purchase more
caffeinated products during the morning and the afternoon. , Whereas we expect them to purchase
more non caffeinated products.
Method
Participants
Forty nine subjects volunteered to participate in a survey designed to measure people s preferences for

Pathogenesis of Menstural Migraines Essay
A migraine is a common, chronic, and debilitating neurovascular disorder. It is characterized by
attacks of serve headache along with autonomic nervous system dysfunction and some patients an
aura neurological symptom (Goadsby, Lipton, Ferrari, 2002). Migraine attacks start at any age but
they peak in the early to mid adolescence age. Migraines rates were observed for a year and the results
showed the prevalence of migraines being 11% overall, 6% among men and 15 18% in
women(Stewart WF, Lipton RB, Celentano DD, Reed ML, 1992). Although prevalence of migraine is

Characteristics of menstrual migraines are usually that they are more resistant to treatment, not
associated with aura, of longer duration than other migraine types and have more functional disability
compared to migraine attacks other times of the month (Headache Classification Subcommittee of the
International Headache Society, 2004). The International Headache Society characterizes menstrual
migraines as ones that occur without aura but they may also occur with aura.
Migraine without Aura
These migraines last as long 4 72 hours. They are characterized by one sided location, moderate to
severe pain strength, pulsating or provoked by routine physical activity. They are associated with at
least 2 of the following: nausea, vomiting, photophobia (sensitivity to light), phonophobia(fear of loud
sounds) or osmophobia(fear of odors) (Headache Classification Subcommittee of the International

Catamenial Migraine
Migraines that have a temporal associate with menses are referred to as catamenial migraines and can
be either pure menstrual or menstrual related migraine. Precise diagnosis of catamenial migraine can

1. Political: In some cases, foreign governments limit U.S. air carriers rights to carry passengers
beyond designated gateway cities in foreign countries.
This can affect the American Airlines company in the competitive airline industry because if some
foreign governments deny the rights to U.S. air carriers to carry passengers beyond designated cities,
the loyal customers of American Airlines would choose another airline that would be accepted by
foreign governments, which will ultimately decrease American Airline ticket sales followed by a
decrease in profits. 2. Economic: The airline industry is subject to ... Show more content on

Who Is Petruchio In The Taming Of The Shrew
While the conclusion of The Taming of the Shrew seems to suggest that Kate s opinionated, obstinate
behavior has been subdued by Petruchio, further in depth analysis of her character reveals that she is
merely acting as the stereotypical submissive wife. The entire plot of this comedy revolves around the
challenge of finding a husband for Katherine the wild hawk and is driven by the recurring themes of
deceit and trickery (18). For example, Lucentio disguises himself as the schoolteacher Cambio to
become closer to and woo Bianca. Hortensio, also hoping to win Bianca s hand, plays the role as the
music teacher Litio. Arriving in Padua seeking a wealthy wife, Petruchio assumes several personas to
wed Katherine and tame her wild behavior. Each character ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

it be the moon, or sun or what you please...Henceforth I vow it shall be so for me (62). Katherine does
not truly believe Petruchio. The primary reason she has chosen to be submissive to him is to avoid his
cruel punishments when she does not comply with his decisions. After experiencing his abuse, she
realizes that her life benefits more when acting as the dutiful wife. Thus, Katherine conceals her true
independent character. By the conclusion of the play, none of the characters are persuaded that
Katherine has been tamed. Lucentio proclaims in the final line, Tis a wonder, by your leaue, she will

Elevation of the head of the bed reduces sagittal sinus pressure, promotes drainage from the head via
the valveless venous system through the jugular veins, and decreases the vascular congestion that can
produce cerebral edema (Lewis, et al, p. 1436) * Position the bed so that it lowers the ICP while
optimizing the CPP; not above 30 degrees. * Turn the patient with slow, gentle movements. Rapid
changes in position may increase ICP. * Avoid extreme hip flexion this risks raising intra abdominal

Royal Dutch and Shell
Background. Royal Dutch Shell Group is one of the world s largest oil corporations and one of the
largest companies in Europe. The company was created as a result of a merge between Netherlands
Royal Dutch and UK s Shell Corporation. The case looks at the issue of price differentials between
several equity listings in different markets from the perspective of investors seeking an arbitrage
opportunity. Royal Dutch trades more actively in the Netherlands and U.S. markets, whereas Shell
trades more actively in the United States. The result is that the Royal Dutch/Shell relative price moves

For a private investor there would be no difference in the tax treatment between the two investment
opportunities. However, pension funds have different tax treatments in each jurisdiction depending on
whether the investor bought Royal Dutch or Shell. In Exhibit 8 of the case study, Royal Dutch was
trading for $141.368 in Europe and $141.375 in New York (a 7 cent differential). Shell was trading for
$124.222 in Europe and $126.554 in New York (a $2.332 differential). These price differences exist
due to market inefficiencies; however, these differences are small. As shown in the last column of
Exhibit 11, these calculations render small estimates of the impact of these discrepancies. The
percentage would be approximately 1% of the company valuation. The impact of these differences is
calculated with the following formula: Avg. dividend for the group x Difference in tax treatment for
the two entities. Arbitrage. In economics and finance, arbitrage is the practice of taking advantage of a
price difference between two or more markets: striking a combination of matching deals that capitalize
upon the imbalance, the profit being the difference between the market prices. In this case, there is an
opportunity for arbitrage. One arbitrage transaction that could be utilized would be a buy / sell
transaction. An investor could liquidate his holdings of Royal Dutch and

Software Components Of The Hardware Platform Available Essay
Regardless of the hardware platform available, it is the software that makes the hardware do its job.
The software is the piece of the puzzle that turns the hardware into a powerful system capable of
making ideas for how to apply augmented reality into areas of interest come to fruition. There are
software components that are part of the AR infrastructure that is required regardless of the application
being used, there is software specific to the application, and there is software used to create the

Augmented Reality in Retail Industry From shopping windows to products that come alive in your
hand, the worlds of augmented reality and retail have collided spectacularly in recent years.
The retail landscape is overcrowded and customers are becoming desensitized to traditional marketing
methods. That s where augmented reality comes in. As shoppers turn to a blend of online, mobile, and
bricks and mortar shopping for their convenience, brands and retailers have to think of new and
innovative ways in which they can capture customer attention.
Augmented reality has the power to bring an image, product label or even shop window to life.
Customers can see brands and their stock in a new way and engage with them on a completely new
level.

War impacts many things; one of the topics that war impacts is individuals. Tim is torn by war because

Comparing My Fair Lady And Miss Congeniality
In the world, there seems to be two levels of conflict. One conflict involves having a common war
shared among multiple individuals, and the other incorporates more personal issues. For instance,
many women across the globe feel inferior to men; however, some feel apt to change the way things
are or how they adapt to the situation. Some women are satisfied with how their lives are, but there are
some that will go the extra mile to see some fresh, new adjustments. In My Fair Lady and Miss
Congeniality, there seems to be evidence of intertextual elements intertwined within both films
through the aspects of character motives, conflicts, and setting. The characters of both films are
revealed by their words and actions. The characters Eliza Doolittle and Professor Henry Higgins from
My Fair Lady seem to have obvious comparisons to Gracie Hart and Victor Melling from Miss
Congeniality. When looking at Eliza and Gracie, not only do they display the protagonist archetype,
but they also show how someone not so ladylike can be transformed into one of nature s most

Ecclesiastes And Harper s Song Comparison Essay
Both the Book of Ecclesiastes and the Harper s Song have similar themes with similar contents, but
different outlooks on life and death and their end goal. According to Lucas, the Harper s Song are
similar to Ecclesiastes in content. The Harper s Song, an Egyptian writing found in the tomb of King
Intef, emphasizes on the enjoyment of life in the present (Lucas, 2008, p. 160). The four passages
from Ecclesiastes, 1:4 and 11, 3:22, and 11:9 10, also presents the enjoyment of life. These passages,
especially Ecclesiastes 11:9 10 explains that one is to remember that we will be judge accordingly
while enjoying one s life. According to Fischer, the contents on the enjoyment of life, the cycles of
generation, and afterlife are the common themes of these two writings.
The enjoyment of life in the present are both discussed in both writings. There are similarities within
the aspects of enjoyment in life. The Harper s Song states, Follow your heart and your happiness, do

within the moral boundaries established by God. Despite their similarities, this difference makes the

Pelican Brief Research Essay
During the early 1900 s the discovery of oil and natural gas in areas around Baton Rouge attracted
chemical companies to the city (Reilly). Since the beginning of the 1900 s Louisiana has been a large
refining state, one may say one of the best, but also one of the most damaging. It can be safely said
that since the start of refining in Louisiana well over a billion pounds of pollution has been released.
In 2011 alone over a million pounds of chemicals were released into the air and a separate 1.3 million
had been released into the water. All of Louisiana s 17 refineries reported accidents contributing to
these chemical spills (Sturgis). The numbers that have been presented so far may not seem out of the

In Shreveport, LA, many residents suffer from respiratory issues that they believe are caused by the
local refinery, Calumet (Moskowitz). Residents have suffered for generations losing family members
to cancer that they believe is brought on by pollution that the refinery emits. Some residents suffer
lesser but chronic health issues ranging from minor respiratory issues like asthma to blood clots in
their lungs. Calumet denies that its refinery is the cause of any of these health issues (Moskowitz).
Many chemicals that are released by refineries can cause respiratory problems, cancer, nerve damage,
and in some cases even death. There is no absolute way to be sure that all health problems happening
near Calumet are caused by the pollution that it emits, but it could be a contributing factor in
worsening symptoms. A resident of Marrero, LA, a town south of Norco refining, stated that they
could not leave their house due to excess levels of pollution triggering asthma attacks (Ludwig).
Sulfur dioxide is a known chemical that can trigger asthma attacks, it is also one of the many harmful
chemicals that can be released by refineries (Sturgis). Refineries will measure levels of emissions
when there is a chemical spill, so they know almost exactly how much pollution they have emitted.
Minor incidents are not always reported or are under reported, but they can have the same damaging
effects on the environment and the overall health of the community (Sturgis). LABB s reports

The World In 6 Glasses Book Report
The first chapter of A History of the World in 6 Glasses taught me about the significance of beer in
many ancient civilizations. Beer has been around for thousands of years and brought about drastic
changes to ancient societies. The discovery and process of brewing beer is something that I had no
knowledge of until reading this book. Beer was discovered between the years 10,000 BCE and 4,00
BCE, after farmers had access to grains and began to store them. After experimenting with grains,
farmers discovered that wet grain becomes intoxicating after being fermented. What surprised me the
most was that the discovery of bread is closely related to the discovery of beer. I never thought that
bread and beer were discovered around the same time, because

No-Shows And Nobodies Research Paper
Nerds, No Shows, and Nobodies In any classroom of any school, there are always three types of
students. A seating plan can easily reveal each type of student: sitting in the front row are the nose

nobodies. These classes of students may seem stereotypical, but they are as accurate as a Nerd s math
calculations. To start off, these students race to the front seats on the first day, are always raising their
hands in class (because they know everything), and carry collections of tissues, which are sometimes
already used, for their frequent and almost daily nose bleeds. This description could only refer to the
Nerds. Nerds are the classic overachieving, comic book reading, geeks. They may seem to know

Problem 1.
(a). Here we have k number of routes from one source to one destination, which is a graph with the
source and shrink.
Suppose we have n files to transfer from k routes by minimizing the total time. We can apply simple
greedy routing algorithm. This algorithm assigns the file to the route which has low load compared to
other.
Select route from graph which has capacity still greater or equal to the li.

Problem 2.
(a). Here in the given problem we have scheduling problem, which we call multiple interval
scheduling. Here the change is job require a process for more than one set of intervals.
(b). This problem belongs to NP complete, because we have k set of times and we can check that it
overlaps or not.
(c). Suppose we have Algorithm A to solve this problem we have k collection of interval. And we will
take the instance of the 3 dimension that is, set of 3 intervals.
So, we have triples (t1i, t2j, t3k) from the set T1, T2 and T3 of size n each. We divide the time in 3n
disjoint interval. For each tuple, we can find job that require same intervals si, sn+j, s2n+k.
Now as per algorithm if there is valid triple matching then this is the set of jobs where intervals are
completely disjoint, hence we can accept this set of jobs to run on the processor as there is no
overlapping. The size of the multiple interval scheduling is polynomial n.

The House On Mango Street And The Things They Carried
What s the difference between a young Hispanic girl and a soldier in the Vietnam War? It sounds like
a bad joke with an even worse punchline, but though there may be many true answers to this question,
there are more similarities than one might imagine. These similarities can be observed in Sandra
Cisneros The House on Mango Street and Tim O Brien s The Things They Carried and their main
characters, Esperanza and O Brien, respectively. Both novels divided into non chronological stories,
both involve characters who feel stuck in their situations, and both realize the importance of returning
for the people they left behind. At their most basic levels, The House on Mango Street and The Things
They Carried are both broken down into stories, which, although some reference events and characters
in other stories, do not follow a definite chronological order. The title story in The Things They
Carried, for instance, places its characters in the Vietnam war, but in no specific year of the war, or
place in Vietnam. The next story, Love, begins with the words Many years after the war (O Brien 26),
placing it definitely outside of Vietnam in O Brien s home in Massachusetts, in fact. The next story,
Spin, however, goes back to the men of Alpha Company together in Vietnam. O Brien even makes it
easy to guess that the focus is back on Vietnam, as the first sentence of this story is The war wasn t all
terror and violence (O Brien 30). The stories in The House on Mango

Residential Zones
Residential Zones They provide regions of residential development at various indicated building and
population densities. These zones are expected to compromise an assortment of housing types and to
support the arrangement of housing for all residents. Prevalent automobile ownership and mid century
government policies made low density suburban development possibility. This development frame,
generally called sprawl, has turned into the default design for a great deal of development.
Commercial Zones They accommodate the business, shopping, administrations, and entertainment and
hotel needs of the occupants and guests to the city. The transference of these services has been

Indian Ocean Region Analysis
The commercial life in the Indian Ocean region during 650 C.E to 1750 C.E was altered, mainly so
after the fall of the Mongol Empire in the 14th century. The fall ultimately led to a number of changes,
such as The Columbian Exchange which affected what they traded, and competition for control
between Portuguese and Arabs over who would control the trade region. Although changes occurred,
the trade routes stayed the same during the region. The fall of the Mongol Empire attracted trade the
Indian Ocean region as well as who they traded with. They gained new goods from the Americas, such
as silver and the potato, which created popular demand for them in the Indian Ocean region. This
changed what was traded in the region.

The Effects Of Fire On Different Types Of Vegetation
Introduction
Throughout the history of the world, fire has been a common phenomenon. It has been a constant
companion of humans ever since it was discovered by our ancestors. Wildfires can cause serious
damage, both to property and human life, but can also have various beneficial effects on wilderness
areas. Some plant ecosystems depend on the effects of fire for growth and reproduction, while large
wildfire can possibly have negative ecological effects. The irony is that fire can both be beneficial to
our survival and it can be a destructive force in its nature, which can threaten our very existence as
living organisms.
In South Africa, people have burnt and cleared vegetation resulting in the disturbance of the natural

The type of vegetation that is burned will classify the type of wildfire. Bush Fire, Brush Fire, Forest
Fire, Veld Fire, Desert Fire, Grass Fire, Hill Fire, Peat Fire and Vegetation Fire, are the main different
types of wildfires.
A wildfire differs in comparison to other fires by its extensive size, the rate at which it can spread from
its original source, its potential to redirect its direction unexpectedly, and its ability to jump across
roads, rivers and firebreaks. Wildfires are characterised by their physical properties such as speed of
propagation , the cause of ignition, the material that is combustible, and the effect of weather on that
specific fire.
Causes of Wildfires
Wildfires are not entirely natural features, hence, are quasi natural hazards. This means that they are
also caused by humans. The four most significant natural causes of wildfire ignitions are lighting,
volcanic eruption, sparks from rock falls and spontaneous combustions (A type of combustion that
occurs by self heating, followed by thermal runaway and finally, ignition occurs). The most frequent
human sources of wildfires are arson, thrown away cigarettes, sparks from working equipment and
power line arcs.
Fuel types for Wildfire
Wildfires spread based on the flammable material that is present, and its vertical arrangement. An
example of this would be, fuels uphill from a fire are more easily

Duties Of A Dea Agent Essay
The profession I have chosen in the Police Law Enforcement category of criminal justice is a Drug
Enforcement Administration agent. This job requires dealing with all major drug offenders, such as
drug trafficking and major drug trades. DEA agents work for the U.S. Drug Enforcement
Administration, and their mission is to eliminate the use and sale of drugs in the United States.
The duties of a DEA agent change based on the current drug issues. Some of the duties that an agent
may be asked to perform include investigating new drugs emerging in communities, or gathering
evidence for a case. Various agents are also sent undercover to accumulate information on expected
drug leaders. Additionally agents have the job of transporting potentially dangerous suspect and
carrying out arrests. Applicants for a position as a DEA agent must hold a Bachelor s degree in
something relevant to the criminology field, such as criminal justice. People who are considered most
qualified have a Master s degree in a field that gives them experience in a special skill, such as
piloting, accounting and auditing, information systems, and fluency in an in demand foreign language

NOVA clearly confirmed that the goal of the campaign was focused on branding. And there was a
definite boost in mobile Web traffic during the campaign window. We sense a substantial increase in
local engagement with the brand on mobile platforms (Northern Virginia Community College, 2013).
Strategy Employed to Accomplish Goal The strategy employed by NOVA as a means of
accomplishing these goals incorporated several specific elements. The first was the need to determine
and understand the relevance of mobile phone ownership and utilization within the U.S and then,
extend this to the specific utilization of smartphones which would allow for mobile access to dynamic
Internet content and apps. Smartphone usage across the U.S exceeded 60% utilization by early 2013
and continues to grow which outlines the potential benefits of targeting such users across specific
marketing campaigns. For the purposes of the NOVA campaign the demographic of smartphone users
was also evaluated in order to determine the number of users in their targeted age range that would be
using such a system. For the courses and services that NOVA offer, a target demographic of people
aged between 18 34 years of age is expected to provide the largest section of students and this section
of the population makes up over 45% of smartphone users, as the schematic below

The Invention Of Printing Press
In 1440, for too many people was the year of change in the global communication. It was during this
time in Mainz, Germany that a goldsmith s Johannes Gutenberg created one of the most important
machines during the modern period: the printing press. The printing press was inspired by earlier uses
found in China and Japan as early as the 7th century. In this time the way to print was using the
method of block printing, which was a piece of wood used to print a specific piece of text. ( Patterns

The templates are essential in mobile design. It helps to the designer to create layouts based on

product, on most every page of a website or application, we call a wrapper because they enclose (wrap
around) all the other components and the content. Also there are some patterns based on how the
human mind processes pattern, objects, and information. ( User Interface )
Scroll bars when information on a page exceeds the viewport, a scroll bar control may be required to

The problem can be more information in the page or element than can fit in the viewport. You have to
provide a method to access this information.
The solution for mobiles will be to display them to indicate the scrollable axes, and the relative
position within the scrollable area.
Whenever possible, you should make sure scrolling takes place on a single axis. This is why the whole
set of patterns based around vertical scroll exist. When the situation demands, such as for zooming in
to content which otherwise fits the area, you can also offer a secondary scroll axis. Keep the secondary
axis in mind throughout the design process because

William Shakespeare s Othello And Racial Interactions...
New York City is the biggest, most international, multi racial and cultural difference city in the world.
It is common for the New Yorkers to interact with people visiting from all over the world. The racial
differences seem not to matter to anyone in New York. The book Othello show similarities to racial
interactions with the ones from New York City. However, looking closer at the play, Othello , seem to
show us many interesting aspects of cultural differences. It seems that not only, racial and cultural
differences were unconventional, but also unnatural .
As an illustration, within first act of Othello , Roderigo and Iago encounter Brabanito and make many
_not nice__ remarks towards the relationship between Brabanito s daughter and Othello. Iago says (...)
an old black ram is tupping your white ewe. (P.30), suggesting that the black ram is Othello, and the
white ewe is Desdemona. The first aspect of that quote is that a black ram, meaning black person
(Othello) shouldn t be tapping, meaning reproduce (having sex) with a white ewe, a white person
(Desdemona). Iago suggests that Othello s relationship is not only unconventional to the society in
those times, but also unnatural . Iago tries to explain that Othello s and Desdemona s relationship in
unnatural because, as he states in the previous citation, a black ram and a white ewe shouldn t be
interacting with each other. Another supportive line that Iago used to underline the racial difference,

Symptoms And Treatment Of Skin Cancer
In recent years incidence of non melanoma skin cancer and actinic keratosis (AK) has increased. The
tumours are treated with the help of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, and topical therapies to
manage superficial carcinoma and actinic keratosis. This review briefs about skin physiology, non
melanoma skin cancer, relationship between actinic keratosis(AK) and skin cancer, different drugs
used in dermal preparations for management of actinic keratosis and novel approaches for targeting
drugs to skin neoplasm and actinic keratosis are discussed.
Introduction :
Development of skin cancer is most commonly seen in Caucasian popoualtion(1) (Bradford PT.,
2009).Damage of DNA due to ultraviolet radiations lead to formation of such type of cancer. Actinic
keratosis (AK) is also called as Solar keratosis or Senail keratosis.
AK severs as a marker for an increase in nonmelanoma skin cancer (NMSC), even in the absence of
any specific lesion progression. The risk for progression of AK to invasive SCC with the potential for
metastasis provides the rationale for treatment(2) (Ibrahim and Brown, 2009). Early diagnosis should
be done for treatment of patients with skin cancer. Anticancer drugs administered orally or by the
intravenous route are associated with serious side effects when given systemically. Topical dosage
forms deliver most of the drug locally with fewer side effects compared with other routes of
administration.

Technological Advantages And Disadvantages Of The Spanish
Technological Advantages The Spanish forces that arrived in Mexico with Cortes numbered five
hundred and eight and were staggeringly outnumbered by the Mexica Empire. However, these Spanish
forces held a number of technological advantages that helped counter this numerical disadvantage.
Three technological advantages that were particularly important to the Spanish success were steel,
gunpowder and horses. These three thigs gave the Spanish an advantage in both offensive and
defensive capabilities. They also served as a major psychological blow to the Mexica forces. The first
technological advantage held by the Spanish was the use of steel weapons which proved far more
capable than the indigenous weaponry. The Spanish were equipped with steel swords, lances and other
weapons. These weapons provided the Spanish with a tool that was both faster than the indigenous
weapons and more capable of cutting through cloth armors. This gave the Spanish the ability to
quickly and easily kill the indigenous warriors. On the other hand, the primary weaponry used by the
indigenous peoples were arrows, two handed swords with stone edges, lances and thrown stones.
These weapons were both slower than the Spanish weapons and were much less effective at cutting
into the Spaniards despite the fact that the Spanish wore similar armor to the indigenous warriors. This
advantage was both known and fully utilized by Cortes, who attempted to further increase the
defenses of his men by ordering his men to pay particular attention to wearing effective armor on the
head, neck and legs which had proven to be weak points in the Spanish armor. This advantage in
defenses was fully illustrated in the earlier battles with the warriors from Tlaxcala wherein the Spanish
forces faced over three thousand warriors. In this conflict, according to Bernal Diaz, the Spanish faced
a hail of arrows, stones and javelins before fighting at close range with the far more numerous
Tlaxcalan warriors. The result of this battle was the death of a single Spaniard and the injuring of
sixty, many of which were still able to continue fighting relatively unimpeded. This ability of the
Spaniards to quickly cut through the enemy while simultaneously only taking minor

What Is Good Education Essay
What is a Good Education?
Education literally means the things a person learns by being taught.
So, the definition of a good education would be the things a person learns by being taught well. But
what exactly does that mean? No one has ever told you that, right. To me a good education is basically
achieved when a person has a general to specific knowledge of the things that have happened in the
world, things that could happen in the future of the world, how to communicate with others, and how
to live safely in the world today.
In order to live in this day and age, a person needs to know what has happened to people or places

They should also know a little about the famous authors of the past such as

for a person to be able to function in society.
However, knowing a little bit of detail about authors in history would be of great help.
People should also know a little about what could happen in the future. They should know a little
about the ways the government could change, space exploration breakthroughs, who is forming a
peace treaty, as well as if a war could break out. This information is very general and
changing constantly, however, it is very important to know. If a person did not know for instance that
one country has problems with another, a war could break out and they would have no idea why. This
could put a person in an awkward position in society. People do not realize that this kind of

Modern Globalization Encompasses Many Of The World’S...
Modern globalization encompasses many of the world s essential attributes: from the modern
economy, to politics, to our immense society and the various cultural factors it holds. Globalization
accounts for our highly intricate world to become unified in all aspects. One of the key factors that
makes globalization so powerful is its ability to spread communication. Nations are able to
communicate with one another to collaborate or resolve issues, companies are able to expand their

Though all schools of thought have a common goal to increase and develop the economy, their views
differentiate on who it should benefit. Economic neoliberalism focuses on economic freedom to
benefit the individual and limit the amount of power that states can hold. They support market based
systems because of the limited government regulation. Market based systems are created to meet the
need of the people and consumers, rather than producing solely for the purpose of increased
government power and control.
The global shift towards market based economic systems has undoubtedly promoted globalization.
The change towards market based systems has four primary components. This includes the transfer of
state owned enterprises, division of previous state owned monopolies, deregulation of markets, and
the creation of a lawful system that supports private enterprise, as well as protects property.
Furthermore, market economies are more likely to participate foreign investments and take part in
worldwide trade, rather than the socialist alternative.

Ideo s Innovation Process And The Development Of...
IDEO s innovation process is unique when compared to traditional companies and is constantly
evolving. Brainstorming and prototyping are tools that are central for the development of innovation.
Effective brainstorming, allows the group to stay focused on the topic, generates many ideas early,
defers judgment to avoid interrupting the flow of ideas, builds on the ideas of others, and can be
visual.
Client engagement is key and is accomplished by frequent meetings. Whereas, rapid prototyping

pretty, Rapid do not get emotionally attached, and Right work on the right problems and tasks) is used
to quickly communicate ideas. The real aha s in product development occur here. IDEO s innovation

entire process resembles a funnel, with several ideas at the top, three or four at the base, and only one

The Split Of Pange The Seven Continents
Pangea was a supercontinent that consisted of seven continents, it existed until the Triassic period
where the continents started to drift 200 225 millions years ago. The theory was thought of by
Abraham Ortelius. Evidently, three centuries later in 1912 by German scientist Alfred Lothar Wegener
had a theory about how South America and Africa could fit together. Following in Wegener s
footsteps, Alexander Du Toit, a professor of geology, and his supporters theorized that Pangea first
split into two separate into 2 large continents. Laurasia, in the north, and Gondwanaland in the south.
Laurasia and Gondwanaland later split into the 7 continents we know today.
The split of Pangaea was caused by plate tectonics moving apart. Plate tectonics

Literary Analysis Of Anne Bradstreet
SAAD ALDAKHEEL
10/19/2017
American literature How Anne Bradstreet confronts puritan view of gender
Anna Bradstreet grows up in a healthy family. She was the daughter of Thomas Dudley who is the
manager of the country estate of the Puritan Earl of Lincoln. Anna Bradstreet got married at the age of
16 to the young Simon Bradstreet who was working with Anna father. Anna Bradstreet never went to
school but her father always taught her and gave her an education. It that time many women didn t
have an education. Anna considers one of the best and most important American poets. When
Bradstreet was a little girl, she writes poems to honor and please her father. After she got married, she
kept writing and it marriage didn t stop her. Her brother in law, John Woodbridge, pastor of the
Andover Church, brought with him to London a manuscripts collection of her poetry in 1650. It was
her first book, The Tenth Muse was the first published volume of poems written by an American
resident and it was widely read. Anne Bradstreet was a very religious and Godly woman. Anne
Bradstreet always tried to live life in a perfect way. Anne Bradstreet was a woman of God and she
always wrote about her faith in her poetry. She always talked about the Puritan and their believes and
views on salvation and reclamation in her poetry. Anna seems to believe that God has punished her
through her sicknesses. The Puritans believed suffering was God s plan of preparing the soul and heart
for accepting his mercy

The Plague In Oran
The plague that is discussed in the book can consume anybody. As Rieux says, the plague was a
sentencing to an unknown crime (100). If nobody knew why they were being punished, anybody could
be. Discrimination is something that, if you are discriminated against you have no control over it. The
plague is a symbol for the interment of the Jews under Hitler s reign. The plague was a disease that
took away the lives of the people of Oran. It is the same way that Hitler took the lives away from
many innocent Jewish people in Germany. Nobody is ever free from the plague, not even today. The
fact that the plague in Oran represents the horrible events that occurred in Germany at the time of the
second World War, could mean that the ideas within the

Gelatin Essay
Research Question:
What is the effect of the amount of pineapple in gelatin on the viscosity of that gelatin by measuring
the mass of pineapple added (g) as a function of the viscosity (s) of the gelatin after 5 hours of
refrigeration?
Background Research:
Gelatin is a protein that is composed of byproducts of animal bones, tendons and ligaments ( What is
gelatin made ). These specific parts of the body (connecting tissues) are made up of a protein called
collagen ( Why can t you put pineapple ). Collagen is a fibrous protein and is the most commonly
found protein in the bodies of humans. Through the hydrolysis of collagen, gelatin is formed.
Pineapples, and other tropical fruits, contain an enzyme called bromelain ( Why can t you put ... Show

After the five hours is over, remove each bowl of gelatin from the refrigerator.
8. Now, the viscosity of each bowl of gelatin must be calculated. This step will require the use of the
marble, graduated cylinder and the gelatin.
9. Firstly, the density of the marble must be calculated. This can be done with the formula d=m/v. M
stands for mass and V stands for volume. You can measure the mass by weighing the marble on a
scale. The volume can be calculated with V=(4/3) x pi x r3. The radius (r) can be measured by
measuring around the marble, which will give you the diameter, and then dividing it in half to get the
radius. Be sure to record this measurement as the density of the marble in a table.
10. Next, the density of the gelatin sample must be calculated. This can be done using the same d=m/v
formula. In order to do this, firstly, the graduated cylinder must be placed on a scale and measured
whilst empty. Then, pour 70 ml of the gelatin into the cylinder. Now, weigh the filled cylinder.
Subtract the weight of the empty cylinder from the filled cylinder s weight. The number you receive
will be the mass of the liquid. The volume of the liquid is 70 ml, as that is how much you poured into
the cylinder. Plug these numbers into the original formula to obtain the density of the liquid. Record
this number in your

Calumet denies that its refinery is the cause of any of these health issues (Moskowitz). Many chemicals that are released by refineries can cause respiratory problems, cancer, nerve damage, and in some cases even death. It sounds like a bad joke with an even worse punchline, but though there may be many true answers to this question, there are more similarities than one might imagine. These similarities can be observed in Sandra Cisneros The House on Mango Street and Tim O Brien s The Things They Carried and their main characters, Esperanza and O Brien, respectively. Both novels divided into non chronological stories, both involve characters who feel stuck in their situations, and both realize the importance of returning for the people they left behind. • 25. Indian Ocean Region Analysis The commercial life in the Indian Ocean region during 650 C.E to 1750 C.E was altered, mainly so after the fall of the Mongol Empire in the 14th century. The fall ultimately led to a number of changes, such as The Columbian Exchange which affected what they traded, and competition for control between Portuguese and Arabs over who would control the trade region. Although changes occurred, the trade routes stayed the same during the region. The fall of the Mongol Empire attracted trade the Indian Ocean region as well as who they traded with. It has been a constant companion of humans ever since it was discovered by our ancestors. Wildfires can cause serious damage, both to property and human life, but can also have various beneficial effects on wilderness areas. Some plant ecosystems depend on the effects of fire for growth and reproduction, while large wildfire can possibly have negative ecological effects. Wildfires are characterised by their physical properties such as speed of propagation , the cause of ignition, the material that is combustible, and the effect of weather on that specific fire. Causes of Wildfires Wildfires are not entirely natural features, hence, are quasi natural hazards. This means that they are also caused by humans. The four most significant natural causes of wildfire ignitions are lighting, volcanic eruption, sparks from rock falls and spontaneous combustions (A type of combustion that occurs by self heating, followed by thermal runaway and finally, ignition occurs). The most frequent human sources of wildfires are arson, thrown away cigarettes, sparks from working equipment and power line arcs. The book Othello show similarities to racial interactions with the ones from New York City. However, looking closer at the play, Othello , seem to show us many interesting aspects of cultural differences. It seems that not only, racial and cultural differences were unconventional, but also unnatural . As an illustration, within first act of Othello , Roderigo and Iago encounter Brabanito and make many _not nice__ remarks towards the relationship between Brabanito s daughter and Othello. Iago says (...) an old black ram is tupping your white ewe. (P.30), suggesting that the black ram is Othello, and the white ewe is Desdemona. The first aspect of that quote is that a black ram, meaning black person (Othello) shouldn t be tapping, meaning reproduce (having sex) with a white ewe, a white person (Desdemona). Iago suggests that Othello s relationship is not only unconventional to the society in those times, but also unnatural . Technological Advantages And Disadvantages Of The Spanish Technological Advantages The Spanish forces that arrived in Mexico with Cortes numbered five hundred and eight and were staggeringly outnumbered by the Mexica Empire. However, these Spanish forces held a number of technological advantages that helped counter this numerical disadvantage. Three technological advantages that were particularly important to the Spanish success were steel, gunpowder and horses. These three thigs gave the Spanish an advantage in both offensive and defensive capabilities. They also served as a major psychological blow to the Mexica forces. The first technological advantage held by the Spanish was the use of steel weapons which proved far more capable than the indigenous weaponry. The Spanish were equipped with steel swords, lances and other weapons. These weapons provided the Spanish with a tool that was both faster than the indigenous weapons and more capable of cutting through cloth armors. This gave the Spanish the ability to quickly and easily kill the indigenous warriors. On the other hand, the primary weaponry used by the indigenous peoples were arrows, two handed swords with stone edges, lances and thrown stones. These weapons were both slower than the Spanish weapons and were much less effective at cutting into the Spaniards despite the fact that the Spanish wore similar armor to the indigenous warriors. This advantage was both known and fully utilized by Cortes, who attempted to further increase the defenses of his men by ordering his men to pay particular attention to wearing effective armor on the head, neck and legs which had proven to be weak points in the Spanish armor. This advantage in defenses was fully illustrated in the earlier battles with the warriors from Tlaxcala wherein the Spanish forces faced over three thousand warriors. In this conflict, according to Bernal Diaz, the Spanish faced a hail of arrows, stones and javelins before fighting at close range with the far more numerous Tlaxcalan warriors. The result of this battle was the death of a single Spaniard and the injuring of sixty, many of which were still able to continue fighting relatively unimpeded. After the five hours is over, remove each bowl of gelatin from the refrigerator. 8. Now, the viscosity of each bowl of gelatin must be calculated. This step will require the use of the marble, graduated cylinder and the gelatin. 9. Firstly, the density of the marble must be calculated. This can be done with the formula d=m/v. M stands for mass and V stands for volume. You can measure the mass by weighing the marble on a scale. The volume can be calculated with V=(4/3) x pi x r3. The radius (r) can be measured by measuring around the marble, which will give you the diameter, and then dividing it in half to get the radius. Be sure to record this measurement as the density of the marble in a table. 10. Next, the density of the gelatin sample must be calculated. This can be done using the same d=m/v formula. In order to do this, firstly, the graduated cylinder must be placed on a scale and measured whilst empty. Then, pour 70 ml of the gelatin into the cylinder. Now, weigh the filled cylinder. Subtract the weight of the empty cylinder from the filled cylinder s weight. The number you receive will be the mass of the liquid. The volume of the liquid is 70 ml, as that is how much you poured into the cylinder. Plug these numbers into the original formula to obtain the density of the liquid. Record this number in your ...
