Short Term Memory Research
A central part of intellectual processing is the quantity limit in working memory (WM), also called
short term memory that is, intensive access to a definite amount of data recently activated through
long term memory (LTM) recovery. Different theorists have recommended that there is limit to what
number of psychologically coherent units can be recalled at once. Miller (1956) as cited in (Cowan et
al., 2012) recommended that what is now termed working memory was express to a particular number
of meaningful units. According to the Miller work, researchers studying on verbal memory
recommended the capacity of working memory can determined through the number if things practise
in limited time. Other studies demonstrated that there was benefits ... Show more content on

The working capacity cause performance of an individual in simple circumstances helps to eliminate
complex factors. The degree to which LTM contribute to quick memory shows up to rely on upon the
measure. Moreover, Chen and Cowan (2009a) were unable to discover the long term memory
contribution in remembering a list upto 12 things shaping up to six chunks. In contrast, Chen and
Cowan succeed how well a WM limit model may hold up under articulatory concealment with a few
key varieties. The difference has been found in the literature of working memory capacity through
visual and verbal material. On one hand, more work is done towards hypothetical records of the
remembering of basis items within visual arrays with the function of models in which items are used
to fill various spaces of working memory. A little research has inspected working memory capacity for
verbal things in recall methods. In this study, main attention has been given to the outcome that verbal
things can be combined psychologically to shape bigger chunk of data. To find capacity limits, one
should likewise have the capacity to identify the chunks. In the verbal area, utilizing recall strategies,
the capacity limit idea has been lengthened to materials in which an arrangement of differently
presented words frequently can make up a single chunk and in which the chunk size has been
evaluated and varied. Our

Using Two Transmit Diversity Scheme
1.2 LITERATURE REVIEW
[1]S. M. Alamouti, describes a simple two branch transmit diversity scheme. Using two transmit
antenna and one receive antenna, the new transmit antenna provides the same diversity order as
maximal ratio receiver combining (MRRC) with one transmit and two receive antennas. The scheme
easily be generated to two transmit antenna and M receive antenna to provide a diversity order of 2M.
This scheme does not require any bandwidth expansion any feedback from the receiver to the
transmitter and its computation complexity is similar to MRRC. This also provide diversity
improvement to all the remote units in a wireless system, using two transmit antennas at the base
station instead of two receive antenna at all the remote terminals.
[2]Vahid Tarokh, proposed that data is encoded by a channel code and encoded data is split into n
streams that are simultaneously transmitted using n transmit antennas. The received signal at the each
receive antenna is a linear superposition of the n transmitted perturbed by noise. The code constructed
here provides the best trade off between data rate, diversity advantage, and trellis complexity.
Maximum likelihood decoding is achieved in a simple way through decoupling of the signal
transmitted from different antennas rather than joint detection and significant gain can be achieved by
using the increasing number of transmit chains with the very little decoding complexity.

Comparing Home Burial And Tuft Of Flowers
Individuals perspective often differs in the consequences of a new finding as a natural human instinct.
Robert Frost s poems Home Burial and Tuft Of Flowers explores this idea. A similar idea is also
expressed in Jean Giono s short story, A Man Who Planted Trees where the narrator discovers the
effects of one s relationship with nature.
Robert frost s Home Burial has serious ramifications on the persona according to their perspective.
This is best explored when the persona says, He saw her from the bottom of the stairs before she saw
him. the enjambment suggests that the male and the female persona are physically far apart, as aresult
of conflicting perspectives between husband and wife, due to the death of their child. The male

Giono s simple disction and syntax suggests that the narrator is open minded and optimistic, which
allows him to discover Bouffier s action and perceptionof a land. As a result of his perspective, he also
discovers the calmness and solitude he feels in his trekking journey. This is exemplified when, [he]
living with a solitary monk gained fresh and new insights about hit connection with the land
ultimately, the ramifications of his discovery of a hermit was dependant upon his perspective to his
quest for water.
Robert Frost s Tuft of Flowers explores, through the persona s perspective how every individual is
essentially connected in some way. The imagery of mower, who moved in the dew before the sun is
explored by the bewildered butterfly who acts as a catalyst for the persona to discover a tall tuft of
flowers. The strong visual imagery implies the fresh and intensely meaningful discovery being made
by the persona, is as a result of his open mindedness and the perspective he views the act done by.
Overall, it is his perception which allows the persona to unveil the ramifications of

Persuasive Writing On Trail Conservation
Trail Restoration There are many benefits to living close to a national park. They are home to animals,
and are a good way for people to go on hikes and get exercise. Sometimes trails deteriorate over time,
or trash is left behind in the parks. My Ecology Project is to go to the Morongo Preserve on National
Public Lands Day, and help restore the landscape and trails. I will help the staff repair trails, fencing,
signs, and clean up trash that has been left behind on the trails. I will receive, sign, and turn in a
waiver by September 25th. I will have closed toe shoes, and the necessities to stay safe and hydrated.
On September 30th, my father will drive me to the preserve and I will receive my instructions. After I
know my tasks, I will get started working on the trails and signs. On September 30th, a group of
volunteers and I will restore trails by moving dirt so ruts or eroded parts of the path are fixed and
smooth for comfortable hikes. On National Public Lands Day, we will make sure footpaths are easy to
walk on by hiking them ourselves, and fixing any parts that seem difficult to pass. On September 30th,
we will ensure trails are clearly marked, either by fencing or by plants that line the edge of the trail.
After that we will clarify the signs are clearly marked so that people know what trail they are on, also
on September 30th. Then, on September 30th, we will clean up litter left behind in the park. We will
finish by concluding we did the work efficiently.

Anti Semitic Movement
The Jews in foreign lands began to dream of a new nation that would become a safe haven for all the
Jews in the world. The sentiment was created partly due to the fact that the anti Semitic movement
was on the rise in parts of Europe and Asia and the Jews had begun to feel the brunt of it. The
sentiment grew to become the Zionist movement. The sole aim of the Zionist movement was the setup
of the Jewish state of Israel in the trans Jordan region. By the beginning of the 20th century, Jews
began to migrate to Palestine, aided by Jews who already lived there. The aid came in the form of help
to acquire lands and businesses. Most of these businesses came from absent Palestinian land holders
or businessmen. The Jews migrated in large droves as

Chesapeake Life History
Between 1813 and 1962, steamboats ruled the Chesapeake Bay, reflected in a fascinating and
important era, in which trade and travel were made more convenient with steamers that linked parts of
Maryland and Virginia, with distant and isolated rural communities along the Eastern Shore, in
particular, including Piankatank River and Occohannock Creek in Virginia, Hudson Creek off the
Little Choptank River in Maryland, Bushwood, and Rock Point It made possible access to certain
goods and services typically unavailable east of the Bay, along with opportunities for leisure and
entertainment.
There were various types of steamboats on the Chesapeake Bay, all serving a specific function. The
packet steamboats were the most common, were medium sized and fast, and transported passengers,
freight and domestic mail. The rural areas and the city were made accessible with a large fleet of
smaller vessels steam ferries, while excursion steamers or showboats were more elaborate, colorful

How to Go Green While in College Essay
Millions of young adults leave to go to college every year. Many responsibilities come with living
without one s parents for the first time. One responsibility is taking care of the Earth. Since there are
no parents in college to tell one to recycle, buy organic items, unplug appliances when they are not
being used, and many more, many college students forget to do these simple things. Students go to
college to start a new life for them, going green is a great way to do that. When a car breaks down, one
can buy another. We cannot but another planet Earth, so everyone must do their part to take care of it.

When living in a dorm, one has unlimited amounts of hot water. This can make is very easy for one to
take long showers. Just because one has this privilege, does not mean one should take advantage of it.
A good way to time one s shower is to listen to a CD. After a certain track, one can turn off the water.
This help save thousands of gallons a year.
Aluminum is also very easy to recycle. Aluminum is the most recycled item in The United States, but
we need to do more (Earth 911).Americans use more than 80,000,000,000 aluminum cans a year
(Earth 911). Recycling just one can, saves enough energy to run a television for three hours (Earth
911)! There is also no limit as to how many times aluminum can be recycled (Earth 911). Recycling
one pound of steel can power a sixty watt light bulb for over a day (U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency). It only takes about sixty days for aluminum cans to be recycled and back on store shelves
(Earth 911). If not recycled, it takes an aluminum can over 500 years to decompose (Earth 911).
Another great way to recycle is to recycle plastic bags. California, New York, Rhode Island, and
Delaware; five cities Tucson, Chicago, New York City, San Juan Capistrano, California and Red Bank,
New Jersey; and five counties in New York Albany, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester have

Life In A Tide Pool Research Paper
Ocean water is always moving, and gravity from the sun and the moon pulling on the waters of the
ocean causes what s called tides. Each day there are two high tides, when the water moves higher onto
the beach, and two low tides, when the water moves further away from the beach back out toward the
main body of water. A tidepool is a pool of water left behind by the ocean tides. Oysters, seabirds, blue
crabs, and cordgrass can all live in a tidepool. Let s explore the tidepool habitat.
When high tides come up onto the beach, the water brings animals and plants with it. Tide pools are
formed when low tide takes the water back out toward the sea, and some water gets trapped and left
behind. Things like rocks and low spots, like shallow holes, can keep the water from leaving the beach
area. Plants and animals can make a tidepool their home, or habitat. A habitat is the environment in
which plants and animals live.
Plants and animals in a tidepool habitat live in an aquatic habitat, or water environment. Life in a tide
pool is not easy. Although high tide brings into the tide pool more fresh seawater, animals, and plants,

Today s celebrations embrace religious customs, and the virtues of family and social responsibility.
The Quinceanera tradition celebrates the young girl (la Quinceanera), and recognizes her journey from

Iago and Angelo as the Hypocrites of Shakespeare s Othello
Few plot elements inspire such an emotional reaction in readers as does hypocrisy. Not only do
readers feel genuine anger at the actions of the hypocritical character, but they also feel deep sympathy
for the Hester Prynnes of the stories they read. This tandem of anger and sympathy is a powerful tool
for an author to use to draw readers into his or her tale, because creating an emotional response in one
s audience is the best way to make them identify with the story. The response of the readers to these
situations is a fascinating one. Perhaps the reader remembers a time when s/he was the victim of a two

Othello has chosen Michael Cassio as his lieutenant, leaving Iago in a lower duty. This bit of history,
disguised as background information the story, is really the crux of the whole play, arriving all of the
action in the five acts to come. It is superficially important to the story in that it drives Iago s future
actions. However, it is fundamentally important to the idea of hypocrisy because it is the main
hypocritical premise on which he acts. Simply put, Iago is upset because he has been passed over for
military promotion a promotion to lieutenant, which would have effectively made him Othello s right
hand man. One would naturally assume that such an office would require intense valor, amity, and
most of all, loyalty. However, he has come to hate Othello for passing him over. It is obvious here that
he has no loyalty or amity, despite the valor he may have shown in past battles. Effectively, he
criticizes and turns on Othello for not thinking him loyal enough, activities which fundamentally
prove his disloyalty. No truly loyal person would develop the resentment and hostility which have
taken root strongly in him. This is integral, because it establishes immediately that Iago is a hypocrite.
He has been overlooked for a position which he thinks he should have gotten because of his loyalty,

The Influence Of The Mass Media In The Media
Mass media has a huge influence on communities across America. There are numerous mass media
platforms like the internet, tv, magazines, and radio. Through the use of this platforms, messages are
able to be given to the public at a huge and rapid rate. Information can at times, however, be
misleading. Due to the fact that the media has a huge influence on the views of people, it is often used
as a way to deteriorate the image of a certain group or individual, underrepresenting them in the
entertainment business. In the 1950 s African Americans were underrepresented in the media,
accounting for 6% of tv characters. Their numbers increased to 16% in the 1980 s (Rodriguez 13).
That, however, has not been the case for the Hispanic/ Latino community. The Hispanic / Latino
community are underrepresented in the mass media, being portrayed negatively in their moments in
the media. This research began on November November 7, 2017. Online databases and books were all
acquired through the Augsburg University Library. I looked for peer reviewed sources in order to
make my research as credible as possible. The population interest were Latinos and the media during
after the 1950 s. The process began by reading all sources and identifying the most relevant
information to my topic. As information was gathered, some of the sources that were of little to no use
were taken out of the research. When going through the information gathering while reading, there
was a lot of focus given on the data and its analysis done by the researchers. Once information was
gathered on one source, I would move onto the next. To organize the information gathered, it was
classified by focus. In example, if in two sources news coverage was the topic, they would be grouped
together. Once the information was organized and sorted out, the information was compared and
analysed. Than it would be put into the actual research paper. The research done gives a general
representation of the representation of Latinos on the media. In some states, this would not apply as
they have local Latino tv channels, ran by the community itself. Some of this information was
included in the research itself.
Latinos have always been underrepresented in the

Controversial Aspects Of Government Regulation
Regulating a variety of aspects of business and society is an old and often controversial aspect of
government, particularly at the national level. Much of what the national government does, or fails to
do, has an impact on individual citizens, private corporations and other business enterprises,
agricultural producers and marketers, foreign governments, labor unions, and state and local
governments.
The first national regulatory efforts in the late 1800s were intended at punishment for, and the
prevention of, abuses in the marketplace, antitrust violations, and price gouging. During the 20th
century, government regulation became even more extensive, focusing not only on preventing certain
kinds of practices, but also requiring that certain in service standards can and should be met. And the
past 50 years, more than a dozen new regulatory agencies have been shaped at the national and state
government levels, following the route of new regulatory statutes. Regulatory measures contact
virtually every part of our lives.
Some government actions are seemingly not linked to regulating private lives, but still indeed do so.
These include local building codes and zoning laws; government housing loan programs with
minimum income requirements cut off many inferior citizens from an ability to ... Show more content

Current Trends On The Golf Industry
Ever since I was a young boy, sports were my passion. No matter the sport, I wanted to always stay up
to date with breaking news, technology trends, live action, and be involved in any way shape or form.
After picking up golf at a young age, it didn t take me long to focus most of my time on the sport of
golf. My dad, brother, and I got into the sport around the same time and have never looked back. We
were instantly hooked with the satisfaction you felt when hitting the perfect shot and the amount of
mental strength it took to compete at a high level. With my golf career coming to an end after the next
semester, there is no other industry I want to work in but the golf industry. All of my knowledge and
drive to work are in the industry of golf. My paper will outline the current trends going on in the golf
industry, how the industry organizes itself, who the industry organizes it self around, and how to
properly prepare to work in the organization. I will then touch on the company I am working for and
the interview I did with my co worker, Jacy Jackson, a business developer at my dream job, 18Birdies.
He touches on how he got involved in the golf industry, the training and education needed to strive in
the industry, and goals set forth to help the company of 18Birdies grow.
Industry Trends The golf industry has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900 s, where golfers
played with wooden clubs and millennials picked up the game with ease. For so long, the

Taking a Look at Ancient Empires
Ancient Empires such as Gupta, Rome, Maya, and Rome were some important empires. They all have
Pros/Cons in their Empire. No empire was perfect, each empire had its own ups and downs. The
Romans had a strong military that gained lots of new land compared to the Mayans who did not have a
strong military because their military did not help gain lots of land and didn t really defend their land
well like the Romans did. Rome had better beliefs and religion such as Roman mythology which had
stronger beliefs compared to hinduism in Gupta. Even though, Maya enjoyed good trade such as
animal skin, and jade, Romans still had better architecture which was more helpful. Rome has better
characteristics compared to the other empires which makes it the most successful.
When the idea comes to military, it is important that the military is strong so it can help protect
land/people and help the empire in gaining new land. Mayans didn t have a good military compared to
the military the Romans had. Furthermore, the Roman s military was strong because they conquered
lots of land in places like Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, and etc with strong military tactics compared to
the Mayan s military which didn t help in gaining lots of new land. Weapons like shield, sandal,
gladius, other weapons and smart strategies like the orb helped Romans in achieving lots of new land.
For example, The orb was a defensive position which helped in the defense of the Romans. People can
refute saying that Rome had

she was afraid of the gun, she replied, No, sir, I seen plenty go off closer by, in my day, and for less

The Pros And Cons Of American Prisons
What is prison? To the public, prison is a place for only the most truly evil people in the country.
However, contrary to popular belief, some prisons in the U.S. are not as nearly as bad as some of the
others. In other words, not all prisons are created equally. The conditions of some American prisons
are horrendous. Two grown averaged sized men are being crammed into a six by eight foot concrete
cage ( Minncor Industries ). Keep in mind, that dimension includes the bed frames, toilet, sink, and
sometimes a desk as well. When the prisoner has to use the bathroom, he is exposed in front of his
cellmate and anyone who is in the hallway. Many would describe these conditions as unacceptable and
cruel, when others would call them necessary. While these conditions certainly are not the most

Prisons are not built to be comfortable they are meant to be safe. They house criminals, people who
deserve to be there for one reason or another. Funding is also an issue for prisons, so they have to
make do with what they are given. Admittedly it is rather uncomfortable to use the bathroom while
someone is watching, there are more restrooms in the detention center. They at least try to make the
inmates comfortable. Think about it, they get ok mattresses, sheets, pillows, and blankets, even warm
clothing. They didn t have to give them that, especially when some really do not deserve the slightest
shred of kindness. The conditions in these prisons are good enough to sustain human life and keep the
inmates detained, like they were designed to do. Some americans believe that prison conditions are
unacceptable and inappropriate, while others would think

The Story of an Hour , is a short story written by Kate Chopin in 1894. Throughout this time frame,
the Women s Suffrage Movement was going on as well as the constrained traditions of feminine roles.
Men were known to be dominant and this short story connects very well with this time frame. In The
Story of an Hour , Kate Chopin addresses many of the concerns that are central to feminism, by using

oppression and suppression in women. The main character of the story Mrs. Mallard, is firstly

going head to head, United States of America and the Soviet Union. The front row seat to the most
thrilling show on Earth. From the day the Space Race commenced, to present day, safety has always
been a fragile subject. Believe it or not, the safety of humans was not always the objective. These next
events altered the concept of safety within the Space Shuttle era.
On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger was rolled out to Kennedy Space Center s Pad
39A, for what would end up being its final launch. At T minus 5 seconds, the solid rocket boosters
ignited, propelling the nearly 134 ton vertical flight vehicle into geocentric orbit. However, at T plus
73 seconds, Challenger experienced catastrophic structural failure which resulted in the loss of both
the Shuttle and the seven crew members onboard. Among those seven crew members was Christa
McAuliffe, an American teacher from Concord, New Hampshire. McAuliffe was slated to be the first
teacher in space, as well as the first teacher to teach not one, but two lessons from space.
Unfortunately, had NASA not ignored the many warnings from their contractor s flight engineers
declaring the solid rocket boosters unfit to fly in such a cold temperature, the astronauts aboard the
Challenger would still be with us today. Furthermore, if Challenger, or any Shuttle for that matter, had
been built with an emergency evacuation

Observing A Right Hip Fracture Repair
Operating Room Observation Experience This past week, I was able to observe a right hip fracture
repair. The patient had broken his hip and was undergoing surgery to place screws and plates into his
hip. I was able to see the whole process through the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative
stages. The preoperative stage is when the patient comes to the OR and is being prepped for the
surgery. The patient is verified by the nurse, who needs to check patient identification, patient records
and make sure is calm for the surgery. Before this particular surgery, the anesthesiologist came down
before the surgery to administer a block to the patient. The block is to dull the nerve ending so when
the patients comes out of surgery he will be in less pain. The consent form is signed by two people, the
patient and the doctor performing the surgery. The consent form is the responsibility of the doctor, the
nurse just verifies that both the doctor and the patient signed the form. It is very common for a patient
to be anxious right before a major surgery. My patient didn t seem anxious but just wanted it to be
over and done with. One of the most important part of a nurse s job is to keep the patient calm and
relaxed. That can be accomplished just by talking to them and reassuring them. Keeping the patient
company will also ease their nerves. The nurse makes sure the patient is calm and relaxed right before
surgery. It is also important for the holding area nurse to make sure

Patterns and trends regarding health and illness vary within different social groupings. For example,
age and social class. Most people at retirement age are healthy and fit making valued contributions to
society through paid work, volunteer work and by being a good citizen to society. However there are
significant higher levels of illness in people over 75 due to their bodies being unable to function as
well as it did as they age, therefore they are unlikely to receive as much exercise and fresh air, also

A sophisticated investor reads the numbers to get the true story and begins to see things that the
average investor does not see. A sophisticated investor must see the impact of government regulations,

investment information is that to gain a full picture requires financial literacy, an accountant, and an

that if you take your time and invest the time to learn the ins and outs of what goes on behind the

One s socioeconomic and educational level is an important factor in the longevity of this aging
population s existence. Greene County is a relatively poor community with only 11.3% of individuals
holding a B.A. or higher degree of education (Stats, 2014). The ability for self pay or likelihood of one
in this age group having private health insurance is decreased. Therefore, the financial burden for this
age group falls back on government agencies in the form of Medicare for qualifying older adult or the
older adult fails to seek medical attention due to the lack of funding. People 65 and older make nearly
twice as many physician office visits per year than adults 45 to 65. However, an estimated two thirds

Third-Person Shooter Game Analysis
In a third person shooter game, the player s character is seen on the screen whereas in a first person
shooter game, the screen is viewed through the eyes of the character. The video game industry has
made great advances since the 1970 s when gaming images were simplistic and therefore not very
graphic nor realistic (Gentile, Lynch, Linder, Walsh, 2004). Nowadays, with the prevalence of highly
violent and realistic video games involving person to person brutality, there are rising concerns
regarding its effects on users real life thoughts and behaviors particularly in youth.

Bandura states people are more likely to attend to, recall, and imitate media violence that they believe
could exist in real life (Bandura, 1965 as cited in Brewer, 2011, p.17). Also in first person shooter
games, the player and his or her surroundings tends to look more realistic, such as in Grant Theft
Auto. It has a higher rate of sensory realism, which refers to to formal features of a representation that
progressively simulates the same experience in the natural environment (Williams Clippinger, 2002).
When playing a first person shooter game, players may feel more personally targeted, since they are
witnessing and conducting violent actions as if they are the character. This can lead players to
experience higher levels of identification and engagement with the violence. For example, when
describing the gaming experience, players of a first person game may say, I just got shot. Previous
research has shown heighten aggression occurs as a result of playing first person video games, due to
the player s identification with the virtual characters (Anderson Bushman, 2001, and Tamborini et al.,

The use of social media from the left and right are noticeably different. Brooker and Barnett (2017)

Critical Analysis Of The Baddest Dog In Harlem
English essay The Baddest Dog in Harlem
In this assignment an analyze and a interpret of the short story called the Baddest Dog in Harlem is
written . The analyze will focus on the settings and the tone of the voice. The young adult novel is
written by Walter Dean Myers, an African American.
The narrator in the text do we not get much information about, but it is likely that he is black since he
lives in Harlem. His friends in the text are Mr. Lynch Wille, and Pedro. In the beginning of the text, it
starts with in medias res with the narrator and his friends sitting and discussing who the best fighter is,
but all of a sudden a police car shows up in front of them because they got a tip about a man carrying
an automatic weapon. A policeman asks the characters in for how long they have been sitting and
Pedro Answers two hours maybe three . They seem to be unemployed since they can spend hours
talking who the best fighter is.
The setting is Harlem. Harlem is in northern Manhattan New York. It is known as a major African
American cultural, business and residential center. From 1920 2008, most of the populations have
been African Americans . Harlem is known as one of the worst areas for crime in New York and it also

quotes are clearly grammatically wrong, but at the same time they can also give a picture on how

Goals are important to peoples everyday lives. Goals for high school, personal life, goals for your job,
and goals for the future are important to our everyday lives towards the future. I m Hailey Anderson, I
m a determined person that is not afraid to fail and then learn from it. My goals in my life is to focus
on my education, improving my bowling skills, and find different ways to strengthen my short term
memory loss. Goals in high school are good because you can focus on making goals, which can let
you get to what you want to do in the future. My personal goal for high school is to get a 3.0 GPA, or
higher and graduate high school. A GPA is good for individual student or a person that graduated high
school to know. This will help businesses know what type of person they will be in that line of work.
A GPA also determines if a person is ready to graduated high school and if a person is ready to go to
college. The reason why I m so focused on my education for high school is because that way I can
achieve a goal or goals that gets me closer to what I want to do in my life. Goals in high school are so
you can set yourself up for success in the future. My goals for college is to get a scholarship or a
financial aid to a 4 year college and go ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If I work hard enough in high school and keep a good GPA, I will achieve a scholarship and be able to
attend a 4 year private college. This is important to me because, if I work hard in high school and look
at colleges that would benefit me as a person. I want to go to a private college because that way I have
higher chance to have a one on one with the teacher. I feel like a private college would benefit helping
me in with my short term memory depending on what college I attend. If I plan out what college I go
to that would give me different goals for when I m in college and will help prepare me for my career

computer electronics firm. Over 40 years on the company is still going and is making vast amounts of
money every year with their net income for 2015 being $11.4bn (Revenue $55.9bn) . Intel was first

improve its market share which in this case will be within the computing market . This report will be
based on the results of the SWOT analysis will be used to identify improvements that Intel could make
in order to increase their market share within the computing market. The advantage of using a SWOT
analysis is that it identifies areas that the business can improve on as well as areas that they need to
watch. See Appendix 1 for the SWOT analysis of Intel.
Methods of Research
Research Method 1:
The first source of information used was Intel s own website which is secondary information. This
source was beneficial because it came from the company s website and so therefore the information
was up to date and should be accurate about the statistics of the company. The website also shows the
latest products that Intel is producing as well as the many research products that they fund to advance
computer technology. The downside however of this source of information is that the information on
the website could be biased because they will want to project their organisation in the best light
possible so are therefore unlikely to post anything negative about the company. The Intel website did
however show the different

The Trial By Franz Kafka
In The Trial by Franz Kafka, the protagonist K. is going through what is often thought of as one of the
most dehumanizing aspects of society. Even in the United States many criticize the justice system for
being dehumanizing. People are forced to wear the same thing, act the same way, and are given
numbers instead of names. In The Trial Kafka emphasizes the dehumanizing aspects of this process by
exacerbating the bureaucratic steps that must be accomplished and adds more uncertainty and secrecy
to the steps. Kafka s writing shows the lack of information that K. is given, and the symbolic
dehumanization that occurs during the whipping and with K. lacking a last name. The actual steps K.
must take to clear him name is always kept secret. K. is always kept ignorant of his charges, of what
he must do, of what the outcome will be, or of what will happen next. As early as page 3 K. is kept in
the dark. When he originally asks what he is being charged with he is told We are not authorized to tell
you that, (3), he is then promised that he will be informed everything in due course, (3). K. is kept in a
total state of ignorance throughout the entire novel. He is constantly introduced to new people who say
that they can help him, but he is never given clear answers, he is just shown false hope. At no point
does he make any real progress in his case. He is always chasing information, just to find out that he
has been running in circles the whole time. The justice

Brand the packaging to appeal to the target age group that is ages 6 12, need to be taken into
consideration. Implement the most current, popular animation character that appeals both gender, such
as Shrek when I was the target age. Furthermore, I would reflect the holidays in the packaging more
predominately. Making Pillsbury doughboy a well known positive character throughout schools and
afterschool programs would greatly benefit the company s sales. This can occur by sponsoring an
across the country school board event, such as an a charity event or athletic fun days with the students
such as Me to We day. In addition, I would recommend to create a Pillsbury Dough Boy mascot to
appear at certain community events, where the sales are high in those particular jurisdictions. As well
as playing commercials on children s television channels such as Teletune and Disney. I would further
recommend keeping current on the Advertisements tactics such advertise on the newest and most
popular aps, popular children friendly youtube challenges and instagram pages. As the GMCC
research proves the children are the predominant influencers to the buyers of the product their parents.
Creating brand loyalty with the younger generation will improve the company s overall sales and
brand recognition. The research needed to ensure that the Youth Brand Loyalty strategy is a success

market for consumer electronics. ▪ Growing online market from sales channels such as Amazon.com
External Environment; Threats ▪ Apple has emerged as the dominant smartphone and tablet brand in
some markets, such as the United States. Samsung has not been able to overcome Apple s reputation

  • 2. Short Term Memory Research A central part of intellectual processing is the quantity limit in working memory (WM), also called short term memory that is, intensive access to a definite amount of data recently activated through long term memory (LTM) recovery. Different theorists have recommended that there is limit to what number of psychologically coherent units can be recalled at once. Miller (1956) as cited in (Cowan et al., 2012) recommended that what is now termed working memory was express to a particular number of meaningful units. According to the Miller work, researchers studying on verbal memory recommended the capacity of working memory can determined through the number if things practise in limited time. Other studies demonstrated that there was benefits ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The working capacity cause performance of an individual in simple circumstances helps to eliminate complex factors. The degree to which LTM contribute to quick memory shows up to rely on upon the measure. Moreover, Chen and Cowan (2009a) were unable to discover the long term memory contribution in remembering a list upto 12 things shaping up to six chunks. In contrast, Chen and Cowan succeed how well a WM limit model may hold up under articulatory concealment with a few key varieties. The difference has been found in the literature of working memory capacity through visual and verbal material. On one hand, more work is done towards hypothetical records of the remembering of basis items within visual arrays with the function of models in which items are used to fill various spaces of working memory. A little research has inspected working memory capacity for verbal things in recall methods. In this study, main attention has been given to the outcome that verbal things can be combined psychologically to shape bigger chunk of data. To find capacity limits, one should likewise have the capacity to identify the chunks. In the verbal area, utilizing recall strategies, the capacity limit idea has been lengthened to materials in which an arrangement of differently presented words frequently can make up a single chunk and in which the chunk size has been evaluated and varied. • 3. Using Two Transmit Diversity Scheme 1.2 LITERATURE REVIEW [1]S. M. Alamouti, describes a simple two branch transmit diversity scheme. Using two transmit antenna and one receive antenna, the new transmit antenna provides the same diversity order as maximal ratio receiver combining (MRRC) with one transmit and two receive antennas. The scheme easily be generated to two transmit antenna and M receive antenna to provide a diversity order of 2M. This scheme does not require any bandwidth expansion any feedback from the receiver to the transmitter and its computation complexity is similar to MRRC. This also provide diversity improvement to all the remote units in a wireless system, using two transmit antennas at the base station instead of two receive antenna at all the remote terminals. [2]Vahid Tarokh, proposed that data is encoded by a channel code and encoded data is split into n streams that are simultaneously transmitted using n transmit antennas. The received signal at the each receive antenna is a linear superposition of the n transmitted perturbed by noise. The code constructed here provides the best trade off between data rate, diversity advantage, and trellis complexity. Maximum likelihood decoding is achieved in a simple way through decoupling of the signal transmitted from different antennas rather than joint detection and significant gain can be achieved by using the increasing number of transmit chains with the very little decoding complexity. Robert Frost s poems Home Burial and Tuft Of Flowers explores this idea. A similar idea is also expressed in Jean Giono s short story, A Man Who Planted Trees where the narrator discovers the effects of one s relationship with nature. Robert frost s Home Burial has serious ramifications on the persona according to their perspective. This is best explored when the persona says, He saw her from the bottom of the stairs before she saw him. the enjambment suggests that the male and the female persona are physically far apart, as aresult of conflicting perspectives between husband and wife, due to the death of their child. They are home to animals, and are a good way for people to go on hikes and get exercise. Sometimes trails deteriorate over time, or trash is left behind in the parks. My Ecology Project is to go to the Morongo Preserve on National Public Lands Day, and help restore the landscape and trails. I will help the staff repair trails, fencing, signs, and clean up trash that has been left behind on the trails. I will receive, sign, and turn in a waiver by September 25th. I will have closed toe shoes, and the necessities to stay safe and hydrated. On September 30th, my father will drive me to the preserve and I will receive my instructions. After I know my tasks, I will get started working on the trails and signs. On September 30th, a group of volunteers and I will restore trails by moving dirt so ruts or eroded parts of the path are fixed and smooth for comfortable hikes. On National Public Lands Day, we will make sure footpaths are easy to walk on by hiking them ourselves, and fixing any parts that seem difficult to pass. On September 30th, we will ensure trails are clearly marked, either by fencing or by plants that line the edge of the trail. After that we will clarify the signs are clearly marked so that people know what trail they are on, also on September 30th. Then, on September 30th, we will clean up litter left behind in the park. The sentiment grew to become the Zionist movement. The sole aim of the Zionist movement was the setup of the Jewish state of Israel in the trans Jordan region. Each day there are two high tides, when the water moves higher onto the beach, and two low tides, when the water moves further away from the beach back out toward the main body of water. A tidepool is a pool of water left behind by the ocean tides. Oysters, seabirds, blue crabs, and cordgrass can all live in a tidepool. Let s explore the tidepool habitat. When high tides come up onto the beach, the water brings animals and plants with it. Tide pools are formed when low tide takes the water back out toward the sea, and some water gets trapped and left behind. Things like rocks and low spots, like shallow holes, can keep the water from leaving the beach area. Plants and animals can make a tidepool their home, or habitat. One would naturally assume that such an office would require intense valor, amity, and most of all, loyalty. However, he has come to hate Othello for passing him over. It is obvious here that he has no loyalty or amity, despite the valor he may have shown in past battles. Effectively, he criticizes and turns on Othello for not thinking him loyal enough, activities which fundamentally prove his disloyalty. There are numerous mass media platforms like the internet, tv, magazines, and radio. Through the use of this platforms, messages are able to be given to the public at a huge and rapid rate. Information can at times, however, be misleading. Due to the fact that the media has a huge influence on the views of people, it is often used as a way to deteriorate the image of a certain group or individual, underrepresenting them in the entertainment business. In the 1950 s African Americans were underrepresented in the media, accounting for 6% of tv characters. Their numbers increased to 16% in the 1980 s (Rodriguez 13). That, however, has not been the case for the Hispanic/ Latino community. The Hispanic / Latino community are underrepresented in the mass media, being portrayed negatively in their moments in the media. This research began on November November 7, 2017. Online databases and books were all acquired through the Augsburg University Library. I looked for peer reviewed sources in order to make my research as credible as possible. The population interest were Latinos and the media during after the 1950 s. The process began by reading all sources and identifying the most relevant information to my topic. As information was gathered, some of the sources that were of little to no use were taken out of the research. When going through the information gathering while reading, there was a lot of focus given on the data and its analysis done by the researchers. Once information was gathered on one source, I would move onto the next. To organize the information gathered, it was classified by focus. Than it would be put into the actual research paper. The research done gives a general representation of the representation of Latinos on the media.
