Solar Declares, Sunspots And Radiation
Solar flares, sunspots, and radiation are all things that are on the Sun and are important parts of the
weather on the Sun. Solar flares are short outbursts of energy on the sun. Sunspots are dark spots in
the sun from the contrast of its surroundings. Radiation from the sun is also known as sunlight.
Radiation is a mixture of electromagnetic waves that range from infrared to ultraviolet rays. Solar
flares are caused by a sudden release of energy that has been stored in twisted magnetic fields. The
energy of a solar flare is equal to ten million volcanic eruptions, and can last anywhere between a
couple minutes to hours on end. Solar flares happen in sunspots where the magnetic fields are strong
and active. Solar flares release an incredible amount of energy. It takes energy from the sun about
eight minutes to reach Earth.
Solar radiation is the electromagnetic radiation and particles emitted by the sun. The ... Show more

Large sunspots could have a diameter of about 20,000 miles, which is several times larger than the
Earth s diameter, and they can last for months. Sunspots have a dark central region called the umbra
and the lighter surrounding region of it is called the penumbra. A pore is a smaller sunspot that has no
penumbra. Pores may only be several hundred miles and last only for a few hours. The sunspot cycle
is the number of sunspots and solar latitudes at which they appear and vary over a period of 11 years.
During the beginning of a cycle sunspots are between 20 degrees and 40 degrees north and south of
the sun s equator. Later on in the cycle the spots increase in number and get closer to the solar equator.
Sunspot s magnetic fields have a strength 3,000 times greater than an average magnetic field of either
the Sun or Earth. Astronomers believe that may have something to do with the cause of

The Presence of Corruption in Bangladesh
Corruption is found everywhere in the world, but the less developed nations are found to be more
corrupt. In Asia, Bangladesh is one of the most corrupt nations. Ever since the independence of this
South Asian nation it has been fraught with instability and corruption. As new nation Bangladesh has
to face various political and economic issues. Patronage networks, military coups and civil violence
are the few issues that ruin the political system of this nation. Much of the political instability has lead
to challenges in its economic development. Bangladesh lags behind in natural resources and capital
thus affecting the development of the nation. Natural causes such as floods and cyclones are
significant to why Bangladesh struggle to maintain economic growth. Bangladesh has to confront
many problems in its environment and overpopulation. Industrialization leads to increase in pollution
production leading to adverse effects in the environment. Bangladesh is strongly unstable and a
corrupt nation because of its failing economy, political instability, and social problems. The
development of Bangladesh is affected by deteriorating economy. After getting independence from
West Pakistan in 1971 Bangladesh had to confront complications in their economy caused by
environmental issues, industry and unemployment rate. Natural causes are one of the reasons
Bangladesh is facing instability. Bangladesh is one of the world s most weather prone nations. The

Gender Dysphoria Sociology
Social Factors Contributing to Gender Dysphoria Gender can be characterized as the state of being
male or female. It is not characterized by what an individual feels they should be considered as.
Throughout the movie it is shown that Bree is not comfortable with the gender she was born with. She
says nothing is going to stop me from checking into that hospital next week. I m not going to be
dragged back into Stanley s old life. She tries so hard to separate herself from the truth of her being a
male. It is shown that she wants to receive acceptance from society by listening to voice records on
how to have a higher pitched voice, and trying to schedule her vaginoplasty. Social factors contributed

This was very much a subliminal towards her parents that she had no support or respect towards her
decision to become a woman. But due to her parents religion, they did not support her decision. She
continues on to say that Toby would know that he s respected. Another place in the movie where Bree
s mother tries to get her to conform is in 1:20:42 when she begs Bree to not get her vaginoplasty done,
because she misses her son. Bree retaliates and says Mom you never had a son . This opens up a can
of worms and brings her mother to distraught. An example of how such environment would cause
Gender Dysphoria is by forcing a person to engage in cultural norms of a gender. Elizabeth, Bree s
mother, is so stuck in her religious ways that she tried everything to straighten Bree out. In 1:09:56
Elizabeth says You know what I see when I look at you? . . . I see a lost soul crying out for help. This
would never have happened, if you had only come to church when you were little, instead of going to
that synagog of your fathers. But it only pushed her daughter further away. Bree even tried to commit
suicide, because she wasn t happy being a male. Bree does not identify with masculinity and tries to
escape from the imposed role to an extreme opposite role of a women. A way in which

Little Fish There s a river on the edge of Missouri where my family and I camped. My uncle called it
The ole Roarin River because the river was always impossibly full of life and movement. My cousin
and I decided, on the edge of daybreak, that we should take a swim. We jumped in and my petite self
started to drift quickly downstream. My cousin yelled and motioned for me to swim. I was so scared
that I might drown but the internal fire in me was fueled by the terrifying and dire situation. I made it
to the edge of the river and climbed out yelling and jumping because I had done what I never thought
was possible. I fought the current. Here I am years later, from my head to my toes I am brimming with

at Vista Health was brutal and she often came home with bruises from he nearly insane patients she
had to deal with. The job was very demanding and she had to work over night. Thankfully, my dad
was home during the evenings to be with us and on very rare occasions, he would cook us a meal
called Shoyu Chicken . My mom decided to take some of the chicken to work for lunch; people caught
a whiff of it and asked her about it. She explained that it was my dad s one specialty meal he learned
after living on Hawaii for 17 years. The workers offered to pay her for some of the chicken and it
started to become a normal thing. The growing demand for the chicken had given my mom and dad
the idea to open a restaurant. Thus Hawaiian Brians was born. This sparked a new era in my life and
inspired me to keep moving forward to support my family in the jump from bankruptcy to brick and
mortar restaurant. This gave us a fresh start in life. There would be more on the plate now not for just
for my family but for me as well. We eventually pulled out of bankruptcy because of the booming
success of the business. I was given opportunities that exceeded my expectations in youth. I got to go

Dental Implant Argumentative Essay
Thinking About Dental Implants? Consider These X Benefits
Cosmetic dentistry is a great solution to fix aesthetic problems you are experiencing with your teeth.
For those that are missing teeth, you have a couple options available to you. While partial dentures
and bridges are a simple way to hide that gap, you may be thinking about getting dental implants
instead. Before you decide, it is important to understand what dental implants are and several of their
benefits.
What Is A Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a permanent solution that will give you a fake tooth that looks, feels, and functions
just like a real tooth. The post for the implant is fused into your jawbone, which will provide a very
firm attachment point for the fake tooth.
Benefits Of Getting A Dental Implant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The improved appearance will not only improve a smile, but give you a confidence boost since you
know the new tooth looks natural when others see it.
Durability
A dental implant is one of the most durable ways to replace a tooth. The main issue with alternatives,
like bridges and partial dentures, is that they may break and need to be replaced over time. If the
implant is installed correctly and properly maintained, it can potentially last your entire life.
Improved Speech
Partial or full dentures can slip out of place when wearing them, which causes a wearer to have
difficulty speaking because they are constantly aware of dentures that could be moving. Implants are
fused to your jawbone permanently and will not slip. You will see improved speech with implants.
Easier Eating
While dentures and bridges do not restrict your eating a whole bunch, extra consideration needs to go
into what you eat to prevent damaging them. Implants are as strong as your real teeth, so you can treat
them exactly how you would if you had all natural teeth.

People Are Good At Heart In Anne Frank
The theme in Anne Frank that all people are good at heart is strongly affected by the characters. Some
of the characters that affect it the most are Anne, Mr. Van Daan, and Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler. They
either affect it negatively or positively as we will found out. The theme people are good at heart is a
theme everybody should relate to in someway. Anne is one of the people that impacts the theme in a
very positive way. Anne is a person who always looks at the better side of things in an situation. Even
though they are forced to go into hiding for multiple years, she talks of what she wants to do when
they get out. This has a great affect on the rest of the people in the annex. It gives them motivation and
keeps their spirits up. She also is very thoughtful and helpful. For instance, she was always helping
people and giving them gifts all through out act one. In act two, she said that she always thought
positively and never negatively. She would then pass that attitude on to the adults that were scared for
there safety. All in all, Anne was a person who impacted the ones around her in a positive way. ...

Kraler also had a positive impact on the theme. They are the ones who accepted them and helped hide
them. They would make daily visits to bring supplies and news of what was happening at the time.
They were also putting their owns lives at risk by hiding them in the annex. One time, Miep saved her
sugar rations over several weeks even months to bake them a cake. Mr. Kraler was even put into a
place he didn t want to be in. This was when a worker blackmailed him or he would tell the Nazi s of
the annex. He ended up paying him the money to try to save the ones in the annex, but the worker still
told of the annex to the Nazi s. These acts show us that they are good at heart because they kept them
hiding even in tough situations. To conclude, Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler are important to the positive

In 1962 north of Boston, a town five minutes from a beach with a big summer colony out on the point
sat a store in the middle of town. A P was a local grocery store. On a Thursday afternoon, three girls
wearing nothing but bathing suits walked into A P and initiated a slew of comments, stares and actions
taken by the cashiers and other patrons in the store. Most women in the town that had gone to beach
would put on a shirt or shorts before getting out of the car and into the street. When the three girls in
their bathing suits walked into the store, they had no idea of the events taking place as they walk
around the store. Sammy watched the girl s every move carefully and when the girls asked old
McMahon a question, old McMahon was patting his mouth and looking after the girls, sizing their
joints. In the story when Sammy says old McMahon looking after the girls, it proves that the girls may
have been underdressed for a local grocery store. Sammy s behavior and actions that he took towards
his manager was nothing more than an overreaction. Sammy is a nineteen year old cashier at an A P

My Killer Ed Gein
My killer was Ed Gein full name Edward Theodore Gein. Ed was born in La Crosse County,
Wisconsin, WI; his date of birth is August 27, 1906. He died in July 26, 1984; this would make him 78
years old.
Gein s life growing up was rather in solitude away from people with only his mother and brother for
company. Augusta was Ed s mother and since her marriage was not working she saved money from
the profits of her grocery store, she bought a farm a little ways from the town so the boys wouldn t be
influenced by anyone other than herself. The boys didn t interact with anyone other than school even
then they kept to themselves since they were socially awkward. Augusta discouraged them from
making friends, so that is why they were not socially developed or adaptive. Teachers often noticed in
class that Ed would laugh at random for some odd reason; but since he was this way it made him a
target for bullies. Nothing the boys did ever pleased their mother even though Ed excelled
academically.
Their mother thought they were going to be failures just like their father. The reason his mother
thought her husband a failure is because he was an alcoholic. She was also verbally abusive toward
her children. She read them sections of the bible at certain times each day, mostly after chores or
school. The chapters she read were about death, murder, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Installing Custom Cabinets At San Diego
Cabinets are a principal part of home furnishing but cabinets frequently wear down or become old
after a specific time period. Several individuals can t afford to substitute prevailing cabinetry but have
to put in a whole new collection. This entire project can be reasonably costly. Customized cabinetry
can be a solution, which apropos is ruling the market nowadays. Many landowners think through
installing custom cabinets San Diego to upsurge the splendor and functionality of their abodes. By
doing this, you will not only augment the appearance of your home but by refurbishing the old
cabinets you can also get done the task without much cost.
An impressive addition to your house during San Diego kitchen remodel would be custom cabinetry
and if you can do that without expending a fortune, then there is no superior deal. You can have the
advantage, gorgeousness and the functionality of custom made cabinets at half the rate that you would
spend purchasing new sets of cupboards. Rather than changing the whole prevailing set of cabinets,
making some simple modifications is a much better and low priced choice that gives worthy
outcomes. When there are many kinds of custom cabinets available in the market, there is no need to
pick stock cabinets. The charm of customized cabinetry can never be equated to stock cabinets.

readymade ones. When you ponder custom cabinets, there is

What Is Iago Evil
Throughout history, people, particularly philosophers and psychologists, still cannot come to an
official answer to an important question. This question has been argued for centuries and people still
do not grasp the complexity of the word. The infamous word that people cannot grasp is evil. Evil in a
modern society can range from narcissism to psychopathy. For example, one can think of evil causing
public shooting thus wounding or killing innocent civilians. Others can define evil simply by doing
any wrong doing. The word evil has implications in any subject field, including literature. In the play
Othello, arguably one of the most famous plays written by Shakespeare demonstrates the act of evil.
In the play, Iago, the main antagonist, wants to seek his general s downfall. He plans on running him
by manipulating his mind into believing that his wife cheated on him. The result is Othello killing
Desdemona and eventually himself. Since Iago is mastermind behind the scheme, it raises the question
on whether he is evil or not. A modern interpretation of evil is by Hillel Steiner, a Canadian political ...

reputation, my reputation! I ve lost my reputation, / the longest living and truest part of myself!/

Iago ruins Cassio s reputation by making him drunk and starting a brawl thus causing Othello to break
it up. This action is evil because Iago does it to show revenge since Othello promoted Cassio rather
than himself. It is clear that this motive is caused by revenge and Iago seeks pleasure in it since he
ruins Cassio again later in the play. For this reason, Iago definitely fits into Steiner s definition of evil
since the action was wrong and because Iago seeks a pleasure like feeling to

During the events of Catch 22, Yossarian is always questioning the acts of his peers and role models.
Throughout the adventures of Yossarian, his officers are quite naive and embrace poor guidance over

requirement because these poor decisions usually lead down a consequential path such as the death of
Snowden. With these deaths resulting from unnecessary missions, it seems comprehensive why
Yossarian questions the ethics of his outranking officials. They re trying to kill me, Yossarian told him
calmly (Heller 16). Despite not having any critical impact on the decisions of the officers, Yossarian
continues to question the acts against him and planning to escape the military s hold on Yossarian s
life. Yossarian s main concern is the idea that people are trying to kill him indirectly and goes to great
lengths to stay alive questioning the decisions that could leave him dead. Throughout the actions of

The Importance Of Women In Hills Like White Elephants
We live in a society where the voice of a woman is not as strong as the voice of a man. We are looked
at as if our thoughts and emotions didn t matter at all. As if this world was just a man s world and
woman are just there to reproduce and do house work. We re not looked at as strong and powerful.
Being a woman now a days, I understand that; girls can be misleading, we tend to like getting the
attention and sometimes saying I m fine actually means that there are no words that can describe the
pain or happiness that we are feeling. Despite the fact that girls say, I m fine often, I don t think that
the girl in Hills like White Elephants was actually fine. Throughout the story, her tone wasn t very
convincing. It mostly sounded like she just wanted the conversation to be over. Therefor she decided
to say, I feel fine (Hemingway, 126), to talk about something else. When I say that girls can be
misleading , I m referring to the fact that what girls say is typically taken as something else. Others
hear I m fine and actually believe those words. Nobody stops to think about if the person is actually
fine or if they just want to move on form the conversation. To understand if the girl is actually fine, a
person must look at the persons expressions and tone of voice. If somebody were to say, I feel fine
with a sad and relaxed tone of voice, there s no absolute way of saying that the person is actually fine.
When they girl expresses to the guy that she is

The Impact Of Gaming On The Gaming Industry
Since the video game console industry had a narrow focus, the entire gaming industry was used for
this scenario planning exercise. The environmental scan focused mainly on the competitive aspect and
left out many external factors. In order to give adequate attention to the external environment, a
PESTEL analysis was conducted. This helped determine external factors that the gaming industry
faced that were not in control of a single company, or their competitors.
PESTEL
In the political aspect of PESTEL, the main focus was on globalization and product dispersion. Most
gaming devices are made overseas, China and Brazil, so international trade plays a major part in
acquiring these products (CITE FROM SCAN). Items like trade restrictions, import duties and
taxation are all things no competitor in the gaming console industry has control over. The legal section
shares many similarities to the political one. The main focus here was trade and internet regulations.
Gaming has shifted from being a solo action, to one played with others around the world. The top
economic concern in this industry is the amount disposable income available. Gaming is a luxury
good, so as income falls the sales of the product decreases as well (CITE). The economic growth,
interest, inflation, exchange rate and unemployment all have a huge impact on the industry. Since the
world is interconnected, if the exchange rate difference becomes great, cost burdens will have to be
passed onto the consumer.

What I Learned From My Coat Of Arms
In my Coat of Arms, I revealed many things about myself. In the first box in the center, I drew
something that I will never give up. In my opinion family and God are the most valuable thing a
person could have and this applies to me. I would never trade God and Family for anything else
because they shaped who I am. Ever since I was born, my parents have been sacrificing their own
interests for mine. They provided me with everything that I need and some things that I want. They
decided to invest in my future by letting me go to SM when instead, I could attend a public High
School. In my picture, I drew my family with my parents and my sister. I put a Circle around my
family symbolizing God watching over us. The color I used for this box and many other boxes is blue
because it s one of my favorite colors and it s not invasive enough to cover up my message. In my
second box, I drew something that I think represents an important lesson I learned from people.
Before this school year, I didn t really pay attention to the balance with things and people. I usually

from all around the world in a summer camp, I found out that balance with others is more important
than the result. Through the friend I met, I learned the importance of keeping a balance with people

Gram Negative Lab Report
I. The most difficult part of the experiment was separating the Gram positive from the Gram negative.
I knew my Gram negative was rod shaped and my Gram positive was coccus shaped. I had to spend 2
days streaking many plates trying to isolate my two bacteria. The morphology of both were very
similar and it was difficult to tell the difference until I was able dilute the colonies by streaking TSA
plates multiple times.
II. I achieved an isolated Gram negative bacteria because I modified the four quadrant streak style and
time. I believe that my Gram negative bacteria were a fast grower and would over grow the Gram
positive. On the 4th day I was able to successfully isolate my Gram negative, and proceeded to run the
SIM test and the TSI test as instructed. Both tests produced black precipitants, indicating sulfur
reduction. This narrowed down my possible Gram negative bacteria to four bacteria. As I continued to
analyze the SIM test the results showed motility, which was confirmed by my TA and indole
production. With this test I was able to narrow it down to 2 bacteria. I think did another Gram stain to
confirm no contamination, once confirmed, I decided to do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

From one of my modified streak plates I was able to successfully isolate my Gram positive bacteria.
By my 6th plate, there was a distinction between my Gram positive and Gram negative in
morphology. To make sure it was absolutely pure I continued to streak it two more times. Once I had a
pure plate, I Gram stained it twice to confirm that it was a pure Gram positive coccus. Once it was
pure I proceeded to do the catalase test, the bacteria produced bubbles, indicating a positive result.
From there I was able to narrow down my unknown to a possible of 4 bacteria. By analyzing my
matrix I was able to determine that by doing an Oxidase test, it would eliminate Micrococcus luteus.
However, the oxidase test turned positive, allowing me to confirm that my unknown Gram positive
bacteria was Micrococcus

South Carolina Descriptive Essay
South Carolina Stepping out of my silver 2008 Nissan Altima, the blistering heat is impossible to
ignore. Feeling the moist humidity of the air along with the aggressive beating down of the sun almost
immediately draws sweat. A crisp breeze washes over me, bringing forth the aromatic scent of fresh
pine. The red dirt road brings an unforgettable memory of wrecking bikes and drifting four wheelers.
Seeing aquatic blue lake house and the large, screened in, cedar wood deck reminds me of the time my
mother, stepfather, and I would invite our local friends over. We would watch the South Carolina
Gamecocks play football and grill out on the large, black, charcoal grill that sat in front of the deck
itself. The house was perfect; neither too big nor too small. Though it was built with wood painted
with the distinct blue, it stood on a brick foundation.
The deck was the second most used asset to the house besides the living room as far as entertainment.
No matter how bad the rain was or how perfect the weather could be, we would always reside here
when we had a football game to watch. We had a large, cedar table in the middle of the deck so that
we could have enough room for multiple people to have a spot. The chairs we picked for this table
were also cedar wood with burgundy red cushions.
From the sliding door entrance on the deck, the house opened to a large living room connected to a
dining room in the far left corner. The soft, short cut carpet was the same color blue as

Cultural Values And The Dominant Culture
When looking to understand one s culture in comparison to the dominant culture it is important to take
into consideration a variety of cultural values. In comparing myself to the dominant culture in the
United States I have found both similarities as well as differences between my worldviews and the
majority worldview. In order to fully assess how I have come to acquire my worldviews it is important
to look into contextual and circumstantial factors that have shaped me as an individual.
American culture values individualism where putting yourself first is seen as the norm. In comparison,
Hispanic cultures value the family, or a group dynamic, rather than each person as an individual entity
(Kirst Ashman, 2013, p. 457). I am close with my family and value the family dynamic we have as a
group; however, I believe that I must first take care of myself in order to be able to help out others. In
addition, competition is valued by dominant American culture. In America winning is everything
(Scott, 2015). Although I value individualism, I am the least competitive person I know. I believe that
this stems from placing value on myself for myself (and well being) rather than for others or in
comparison to others. When focusing on the individual it is easy to place high importance upon one s
status within society. American culture places high value upon credentials, titles, roles, and material
possessions that create each person s power status. It would be absurd for me to say that my

Essay on Power in of Mice and Men
Power
By Maria Liddy
The theme of power is prevalent throughout the novel Of Mice and Men. Steinbeck uses various
methods and techniques to establish the dynamics of power on the ranch. In the first extract, George
and Lennie are in the brush and we get a strong sense of George s parental control over Lennie, but it
also shows how Lennie s physical stature gives him a degree of power over George. In extract two we
meet Curley for the first time, and his authority over the ranch workers is clearly asserted through the
various ways in which Steinbeck describes him. And finally, in extract three, we see the first fight of
the novel. The fight is very diverse in how it portrays power. At different stages in the fight some

This is shown through Lennie s very simple language.
..But it didn t do no good
Steinbeck also uses many question marks to show how Lennie is constantly asking questions and
therefore constantly seeking guidance from George, and again, that s what gives George the edge over
Lennie.
When discussion moves to the bus tickets and work cards Lennie realises that he doesn t have his. He
looked down at the ground in despair which shows that he is ashamed and perhaps a little frightened
of George s reaction, but Steinbeck then goes on to say that George took responsibility for both of the
work cards, knowing that Lennie could not be trusted. This, again, demonstrates the balance of power
and shows that both George and Lennie are aware of how much power the other possesses.
After looking for his work card in his pocket, Lennie take out a mouse to which George replies
sharply.
What d you take outta that pocket?
George s tone is accusatory which shows that he is astute. He then continues to bombard Lennie with
questions, which gives Lennie the chance to demonstrate another type of power his cunning. He
attempts to deceive George.
Ain t a thing in my pocket
Although childlike, this sentence shows that Lennie s mind is able to think of plans. How would he
keep the mouse? By attempting to deceive George. Eventually, George s patience wears thin and he
exclaims Give it here! shouting at Lennie like a parent.

Aesthetic Devices In About A Boy By Nick Hornby
Analysis of Aesthetic devices in About a Boy
About a boy, written in 1998 by Nick Hornby explores the themes of mental health, 1990 s culture and
family through the friendship of two characters; Will, a thirty six year old bachelor and Marcus, A 12
year old outcast. In about a boy, the author has used a range of aesthetic devices that shape character
representation. An Aesthetic device is an element that authors intentionally use to create
intellectual/emotional responses in their novel. This analytical essay will explore how Nick Hornby
has used irony, point of view and stream of consciousness to shape character representation.
Irony is a technique that is used (through a character or plot development) to convey an intention or
attitude opposite to what is literally stated. In essence, irony is humour based on opposites and
contradiction. It is supposed to make the reader laugh due to the mismatched characteristics of specific
situations. About a Boy by Nick Hornby explores significant issues through the use of humour.
Techniques such as Irony, ridiculous situations and vivid imagery encourage the audience to laugh
while simultaneously being challenged to think about serious issues such as mental health, bullying
and relationships. This is meant to elicit an emotional response within the reader. An example of irony
in About A Boy is the Dead duck scene, where the humour of Marcus killing a duck with a loaf of
bread foreshadows the solemn event of Fiona s Attempted suicide. The initial humour of Marcus
killing the duck is slapstick. This is evident when the text states Marcus couldn t believe it. A dead
duck. Ok, he tried to hit it with a piece of sandwich and when will says that s not a sandwich, that s a
bloody French loaf. No wonder it keeled over. These two humorous statements contrast with Fiona s
attempted suicide. The dead duck scene combined with Fiona s attempted suicide encourage the reader
to reflect on the seriousness of mental health, as this event is unexpected after the previous (dead
duck) situation.
Point of view is a literary device used to depict the perceptions and opinions of different characters.
Essentially, the point of view allows readers to form a relationship and

Bias And Social Perceptions
Bias is something every person has; It is the inclination to feel prejudice towards a certain person,
subject, or thing. On a personal level, bias affects just about everything a person could encounter, or
has yet to encounter in their lifetime. There are two main types of biases people can have; Cognitive
bias involves topics such as social attribution or memory errors, that are quite common and have a
wide range of effects on how humans perceive things. The other type of bias is called social biases, or
sometimes referred to as attributional bias. Attributional biases affect our everyday social interactions,
and has a strong impact on people when trying to assess their own and others behaviors. Why do
people have bias? There are several factors that can be behind a single bias of one person, but there are
a set of main principles that can define the basics of bias. The self attribution bias, previous
experiences, emotional connection and beliefs all have influence over people s prejudice towards just
about every aspect in life; these principles also serve as a reference point to my own examples of bias
that will be looked into. These three topics that will be covered are not the only sources of bias, there
are dozens of factors that can create prejudice. Bias is a natural occurrence for humans, and implicit
bias will affect the perception and prejudice towards people, places, and social topics. The self
attribution bias refers to individuals tendency that leads

Characterization Of Harrison Bergeron In 2081 And Harrison...
Characterization of Harrison Bergeron in 2081 and Harrison Bergeron
Comparing and contrasting Kurt Vonnegut s Harrison Bergeron and Chandler Tuttle s 2081 in relation
to their characterization of the short story s namesake is an undertaking chock full of potential. These
two sources are very different in their representation of young Harrison and this serves to completely
skew one s preconceived understanding of his person, motivations, and desires. Due to this subtle but
significant variation one can come to the conclusion that the way an individual is portrayed and the
words they speak in different genres greatly manipulates others perception of their character. This is
evident when one analyzes the monologuing and shot choices of the short film or the descriptions and
dialogue in the story.
A satirical genius not recognized as such in his early years, Vonnegut published what is now a staple
in high school classrooms in 1961. This work is named for a character who appears only briefly, but in
that time creates a very strong impression; Harrison Bergeron is a fourteen year old boy who surpasses
most of society in every measurable quality. Vonnegut s brash description of Harrison depicts him as
some monstrous being of metal and sandbags, reminiscent of horror movie villains of times long past.
Despite his limited dialogue, the words Harrison speaks reinforce this image to a tee; he is a power
hungry beast of a boy. Victim to delusions of grandeur,

Lean Production And Production Of Vehicles
Lean production of vehicles was started in Japan by Toyota company. It has some similarities with the
mass production; however, it is quite different from the craft production. One of the main similarities
that the lean production shares with the mass production is that they both use the assembly line for the
production of the vehicles, which was initiated by Ford. Unlike, mass production: Ohno placed a cord
above every work station and instructed worker to stop the whole assembly line immediately if a
problem emerged that they couldn t fix (56). In the mass production, if the problem occurred, and no
one paid attention to it while the production process, then the car company had to fix the errors in all
the vehicles that had been produced no matter how large the quantity was. In the lean production of
vehicles: Ohno instead instituted a system of problem solving called the five why s (56). Taiichi Ohno,
the founder of Toyota company, made sure that once the problem has been identified in the production
process, then what kind of precautions company can take to prevent the problem, so it never occurs
again, which saved a lot of time compared to mass production. One similarity that lean production has
with the craft production is that the vehicles were not produced on a larger scale, rather they were
diverse small vehicles, such as trucks and cars. In the mass production, changing the die cut process
took months; however, in the lean production process reduced

The Pros And Cons Of Misfolded Protein
Introduction
The central dogma of molecular biology conveys the idea that genetic information passes from DNA
to RNA before culminating in protein synthesis (Bandyra Luisi, 2015). In essence, our genetic
information is mainly used to code for specific proteins. There are 20 amino acids that can be bonded
together in many different orders to form a number in excess of 10 million proteins across all
biological organisms (Innovateus, 2015). Proteins have many different uses and functions, as well as
modifications. Examples of these differences include glycoproteins with carbohydrates attached to be
used in the cell membrane and phosphorylated serine molecules that act as metabolites. For the protein
to be able to carry out its specific function, it must fold in the correct way. A precise path must be
followed to allow the correct shape to be formed and if there is an error in this process, the misfolded
protein could lead to dangerous diseases forming.
The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The point of using this molecule is to reduce the risk of proteins folding into non functioning shapes
and aggregating (Saibil, 2006). Protein aggregation is the accumulation of misfolded proteins and they
can form insoluble plaques known as amyloids. The pathway to aggregation is, perhaps; an alternative
to the innate pathway and that the aggregation pathway favours interactions within the molecules
rather than between them (Stefani, 2004). There are specific and non specific forms of chaperones and
it is thought that their existence was a product of evolution. Therefore, protein misfolding is likely to
have been a prominent feature of life, encouraging the eventual production of quality control
molecules. A mutation to the chaperones can render them obsolete and in some cases they are not
present at all. Some diseases are caused by a mutation to the chaperone or an absence of the protein
altogether (Reynaud,

Undocumented Immigrants Essay
Why Illegal Immigrants Should Be Granted Amnesty Whether to grant illegal immigrants full amnesty
or not is a very controversial and important question in today s society. As David Decrosse explains,
amnesty means, lifting a penalty associated with an entire class of people who have violated a law.
Some people might think that American authority deporting illegal immigrants with little
repercussions is amnesty, but full amnesty would mean letting the immigrants stay in America and
have a regulated job. If amnesty is granted the economy would benefit, it is morally right, and it would
not hurt the society in any way. If American society grants illegal immigrants full amnesty it will help
the economy. As James Dywer, an immigrant researcher states, illegal immigrants often perform the

americans. This is very good, especially considering that they have a bigger reason to do a crime
because of their poverty and that they sometimes are discriminated against. As Hispanics in general,

means if amnesty is given the crime rates of illegal immigrants would further plummet because they

to the stone which had a magic sword stuck in it. Engraved in the sword was the words, Whoso pulleth
out this sword from this stone, is right wise King born of all England. And so with not even the
strongest men able to pull out the sword, Arthur came and took it out with no difficulty. This all my
seen very fictional, but so were other myths that became known as fact... Later on in his life, King
Arthur, would face many battles and become an effective warrior who fought and kept his people of
Camelot save from invasion. Making his country safe and peaceful, the residents accepted him as their
king, grateful from his mercy and kindness he had shown them. The legend of King Arthur is a huge
part of English history and continues to impact people s beliefs and skepticisms of these tales. Maybe
one day these mysteries will be solved, but for now appreciate how he has influenced British and
European history

Software Architecture And Methodology As A Tool For...
ABSTRACT Nowadays, traditional software processes have slowly taken the place of agile software
Processes. This is mostly because of traditional processes have limitations, which holds a slow
modification to quickly changing requirements, and a proclivity to go over cost of project and get late
back in schedule. This paper explains objectives, pros, and cons of agile and traditional processes. It is
also briefly describing the Unified Process as well as common elements of the Scrum process model.
Lastly, it is proposing a new Component Integrated process model which integrates the Scrum process
from agile and Unified Process from convential process. This new CIM process model will adapt the
pros of both processes at the same time it will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These are some reason that traditional processes replace agile processes mainly in small and simple
projects. This is happening because of traditional methods limitations and deficiencies, which includes
a slow adaptation to business requirements changes, and a tendency to go over budget and as well as
behind schedule. The traditional methods also lack in providing improvements in simplicity,
productivity and reliability phenomena s. Despite of these limitations, traditional methods are widely
used by many software developers in projects. Traditional methods are capable to provide high
assurance, predictability, and stability and their nature is structural, straightforward, and
methodological. Agile processes mainly focus on incremental as well as iterative development. Also,
frequent deliveries after each sprints and customer collaboration are key element of Agile. Agile
process has many advantage such as short lifecycle, low bug rate, high customer satisfaction, and fast
adaptation to changing requirements. Despite the fact that agile process has many advantages,
Software Organizations still using traditional process and not jumping into agile. We have summarized
the characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses and issues of the conventional and agile methods in
below Table1. Table1. Comparison between Conventional and Agile Methods As mentioned in table1,

The Lateral Sclerosis ( Als ) Is A Neurodegenerative...
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease that causes loss of motor neurons
and progressive weakness including loss of speech(Wijesekera Leigh, 2009). Its onset typically occurs
in the sixth decade of life but rare instances can happen earlier. It can begin as bulbar onset which
affects the voice, breathing and speech patterns or limb onset which can begin in the arms or legs
(Wijesekera Leigh, 2009). Roughly 90% of cases of ALS are sporadic and not linked to familial
history of the disease(Wijesekera Leigh, 2009). Once ALS starts it almost always progresses,
eventually taking away the ability to walk, dress, write, speak, swallow, and breathe and shortening
the life span. There is no treatment or cure for ALS, however there are a few drugs which have been
able to slow the progression of the disease in some patients. As a result affected individuals become
locked in and unable to communicate. These patients can benefit greatly from the use of a brain
computer interface (BCI)(Birbaumer, 2006; Coyle, Ward, Markham, McDarby, 2004).
BCI can help individuals communicate without relying on muscular control, which is critical for
clinical populations of neuromuscular disease patients, such ALS (Wolpaw, 2002). The use of BCI can
enable communication and increase quality of life but to date the effects of mental fatigue have been
ignored. However, the current state of BCI technology and overall usability is not advanced enough to

Deceptive Advertising
Deceptive advertising has been around since the beginning of time and still prevalent today.
Sometimes it is done unknowingly by an advertiser, however more often than not; it is done with the
intent to mislead the consumer making deceptive advertising a relevant marketing ethics issue.
Deceptive advertising is a growing trend among business in our society. This trend includes directly
trying to deceive consumers into thinking that they are getting something great but in reality they are
getting nothing. All age groups are targeted by deceptive advertising it is just a matter of how
consumer savvy you are. Almost all companies are guilty of this ... Show more content on

According to the Better Business Bureau, an advertisement as a whole may be misleading although
every sentence separately is considered true. Second, the Federal Trade Commission examines the
misrepresentation from the view of a reasonable consumer or particular target group such as the
elderly. And finally, the representation, omission or practice must be a material one . This means that
if the misrepresentation is likely to affect the consumers decision whether or not to use or purchase a
certain product or service, this is considered material since the consumer may have decided differently
if not for the deceptive advertising (Federal Trade Commission, 1998[on line]). The 1990 s have
brought on some new targets for deceptive advertisers as well as a new focus for Federal Trade
Commission and the Better Business Bureau. The main target of the 90 s include: antioxidant claims,
the diet industry for misrepresenting weight loss claims, environmental or green marketing claims for
products claiming that they are good for the environment and are not, 900 numbers for
misrepresenting the costs of phones call and the internet. In one year, United Weight Control,
Nutri/System, Inc, the Diet Center, Physician Weight Loss Clinic, Weight Watchers International, Inc
and Jenny Craig had all been cited for deceptive advertising and were made to modify their
advertising and marketing practices. The internet has also

Examples Of Jewish Resistance
Jews Fight Back Resistance is the refusal to accept or comply with something ( Dictionary ). The
Holocaust occurred between 1939 and 1945 in Germany (history.com). It was a period of time during
WWII where the jewish population were forced to follow and obey the Nazi s which meant being sent
to concentration camps and later extermination camps in order to achieve racial purity . This was
called the Final Solution . Countless of Jews resisted during this time hoping to stop the cruelty and
torture. During the Holocaust, Jews used armed and unarmed forms of resistance in order to retain
their humanity. Armed resistance was a way for the Jewish people to stand up for themselves. An
example of this type of resistance, is when the Jews attacked the Germans with homemade and
smuggled weapons. As stated in the Jewish resistance article, as German SS and police units entered
the ghetto, members of the Jewish Fighting Organization (zydowska organizacja bojowa: ZOB) and
other Jewish groups attacked German tanks with molotov cocktails, hand grenades, ... Show more

They did all they could do without being caught and most did it successfully. For example, they made
conscious attempts to preserve the history and communal life of the jewish people despite Nazi efforts
to eradicate the jews from human memory. These efforts included: creating jewish cultural
institutions, continuing to observe religious holidays and rituals, providing clandestine education,
publishing underground newspapers, and collecting and hiding documentation ( Spiritual ). This
shows that despite what was going on around them and all the violence, they found a way to resist
peacefully. This was a hard time for the Jews but they managed to find a way to remain hopeful.
Another non violently way jews resisted was keeping records and writing everything

Analysis Of Don t Blame The Eater
Is Greed actually not of a financial use rather than a emotional use. If so would employees who work
at fast food establishments or even major corporate heads of these billion dollar fast food chains allow
their own children to indulge themselves in them, knowingly aware of the vast risks they could
embark on later in life due to their unhealthy choices? David Zinczenko brings up valid points on how
fast food is harmful to one s body in Don t Blame the Eater, . Zinczenko is able to effectively argue
against the manipulation of the food industry by showing the reader that the consumer is the victim
while the food industry is the one to blame. His use of questioning, personal appeals, imagery, direct
tone and colorful diction results in a compelling case that supports his accusations of manipulation by
the fast food industry. Zinczenko asks questions to support his arguments and guide the reader to what
he believes to be actually true. He starts off the essay using an analogy: is the case of children who
sued McDonald s for their obesity the same as the case of middle aged men suing Porsche for their
speeding tickets? (Paragraph 1). He points out the fallacy of the men suing someone else for
something that was their own fault (such as receiving a speeding ticket), but brings attention to
children who shouldn t be blamed for what society claims is their responsibility. The next question he
asks relates to what fast food restaurants would argue/rebuttal with; shouldn t we

How Does Heller Use Dialogue In Catch 22
Use of Language and Dialogue Catch 22
Catch 22 is probably best discussed in terms of its language. The prose style Heller employs is
original and distinctive, appropriate and well implemented (Pearson 277). One application of that
prose style is dialogue; Heller uses dialogue to manifest the themes of the novel. Some of the themes
best shown in the dialogue of the characters are Heller s hatred of war, and his perceived idiocy in
military and in bureaucracy. Scattered throughout the book are several dialogues which share
numerous characteristics. Some particular conversations are especially demonstrative of these
elements. Heller uses these dialogues to communicate his ideas to the reader. In chapter XXXVI,
several military ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What crime?
We don t know yet, said the colonel. But we re going to find out. And we sure know it s very serious
(373).
Heller s governmental agents are illogical to either a subhuman or to asuperhuman extent. In another
instance, an undercover C.I.D. man fails toconsider the possibility that the culprit who incorrectly
edits letters would sign a nameother than his own. Time after time these agent display profound
disregard for the highercranial facilities.
In the same way that the bureaucratic thought process is convoluted, governmental action (or inaction)
is also often senseless. Often the very nature of an actionprecludes itself: this sort of situation crops up
during the interrogation, for instance, when one of the military officers asks the chaplain for a
handwriting sample in order tocompare the sample to a letter. When the handwriting sample fails to
match that of the letter, the officer concludes that of course of course! the chaplain is fakinghis
handwriting:
I can t tell you how disappointed I am in you.
For what? persisted the chaplain more frantically. What have I done?
For this, replied the major, and, with an air of disillusioned disgust, tossed down on the table the pad
on which the chaplain had signed his name. This isn t your handwriting.
The chaplain blinked

Solar flares are short outbursts of energy on the sun. Sunspots are dark spots in the sun from the contrast of its surroundings. Radiation from the sun is also known as sunlight. Radiation is a mixture of electromagnetic waves that range from infrared to ultraviolet rays. Solar flares are caused by a sudden release of energy that has been stored in twisted magnetic fields. The energy of a solar flare is equal to ten million volcanic eruptions, and can last anywhere between a couple minutes to hours on end. Solar flares happen in sunspots where the magnetic fields are strong and active. Solar flares release an incredible amount of energy. It takes energy from the sun about eight minutes to reach Earth. In Asia, Bangladesh is one of the most corrupt nations. Ever since the independence of this South Asian nation it has been fraught with instability and corruption. As new nation Bangladesh has to face various political and economic issues. Patronage networks, military coups and civil violence are the few issues that ruin the political system of this nation. Much of the political instability has lead to challenges in its economic development. Bangladesh lags behind in natural resources and capital thus affecting the development of the nation. Natural causes such as floods and cyclones are significant to why Bangladesh struggle to maintain economic growth. Bangladesh has to confront many problems in its environment and overpopulation. This question has been argued for centuries and people still do not grasp the complexity of the word. The infamous word that people cannot grasp is evil. Evil in a modern society can range from narcissism to psychopathy. For example, one can think of evil causing public shooting thus wounding or killing innocent civilians. Others can define evil simply by doing any wrong doing. The word evil has implications in any subject field, including literature. He plans on running him by manipulating his mind into believing that his wife cheated on him. The result is Othello killing Desdemona and eventually himself. We re not looked at as strong and powerful. Cultural Values And The Dominant Culture When looking to understand one s culture in comparison to the dominant culture it is important to take into consideration a variety of cultural values. In comparing myself to the dominant culture in the United States I have found both similarities as well as differences between my worldviews and the majority worldview. In order to fully assess how I have come to acquire my worldviews it is important to look into contextual and circumstantial factors that have shaped me as an individual. American culture values individualism where putting yourself first is seen as the norm. In comparison, Hispanic cultures value the family, or a group dynamic, rather than each person as an individual entity (Kirst Ashman, 2013, p. 457). I am close with my family and value the family dynamic we have as a group; however, I believe that I must first take care of myself in order to be able to help out others. In addition, competition is valued by dominant American culture. In America winning is everything (Scott, 2015). Although I value individualism, I am the least competitive person I know. I believe that this stems from placing value on myself for myself (and well being) rather than for others or in comparison to others. When focusing on the individual it is easy to place high importance upon one s status within society. American culture places high value upon credentials, titles, roles, and material possessions that create each person s power status. It would be absurd for me to say that my ... • 25. Aesthetic Devices In About A Boy By Nick Hornby Analysis of Aesthetic devices in About a Boy About a boy, written in 1998 by Nick Hornby explores the themes of mental health, 1990 s culture and family through the friendship of two characters; Will, a thirty six year old bachelor and Marcus, A 12 year old outcast. In about a boy, the author has used a range of aesthetic devices that shape character representation. An Aesthetic device is an element that authors intentionally use to create intellectual/emotional responses in their novel. This analytical essay will explore how Nick Hornby has used irony, point of view and stream of consciousness to shape character representation. Irony is a technique that is used (through a character or plot development) to convey an intention or attitude opposite to what is literally stated. In essence, irony is humour based on opposites and contradiction. It is supposed to make the reader laugh due to the mismatched characteristics of specific situations. About a Boy by Nick Hornby explores significant issues through the use of humour. Techniques such as Irony, ridiculous situations and vivid imagery encourage the audience to laugh while simultaneously being challenged to think about serious issues such as mental health, bullying and relationships. This is meant to elicit an emotional response within the reader. An example of irony in About A Boy is the Dead duck scene, where the humour of Marcus killing a duck with a loaf of bread foreshadows the solemn event of Fiona s Attempted suicide. The initial humour of Marcus killing the duck is slapstick. This is evident when the text states Marcus couldn t believe it. A dead duck. Ok, he tried to hit it with a piece of sandwich and when will says that s not a sandwich, that s a bloody French loaf. No wonder it keeled over. These two humorous statements contrast with Fiona s attempted suicide. The dead duck scene combined with Fiona s attempted suicide encourage the reader to reflect on the seriousness of mental health, as this event is unexpected after the previous (dead duck) situation. Point of view is a literary device used to depict the perceptions and opinions of different characters. Essentially, the point of view allows readers to form a relationship and ... On a personal level, bias affects just about everything a person could encounter, or has yet to encounter in their lifetime. There are two main types of biases people can have; Cognitive bias involves topics such as social attribution or memory errors, that are quite common and have a wide range of effects on how humans perceive things. The other type of bias is called social biases, or sometimes referred to as attributional bias. Attributional biases affect our everyday social interactions, and has a strong impact on people when trying to assess their own and others behaviors. Why do people have bias? There are several factors that can be behind a single bias of one person, but there are a set of main principles that can define the basics of bias. The self attribution bias, previous experiences, emotional connection and beliefs all have influence over people s prejudice towards just about every aspect in life; these principles also serve as a reference point to my own examples of bias that will be looked into. These three topics that will be covered are not the only sources of bias, there are dozens of factors that can create prejudice. Bias is a natural occurrence for humans, and implicit bias will affect the perception and prejudice towards people, places, and social topics. • 29. Characterization Of Harrison Bergeron In 2081 And Harrison... Characterization of Harrison Bergeron in 2081 and Harrison Bergeron Comparing and contrasting Kurt Vonnegut s Harrison Bergeron and Chandler Tuttle s 2081 in relation to their characterization of the short story s namesake is an undertaking chock full of potential. These two sources are very different in their representation of young Harrison and this serves to completely skew one s preconceived understanding of his person, motivations, and desires. Due to this subtle but significant variation one can come to the conclusion that the way an individual is portrayed and the words they speak in different genres greatly manipulates others perception of their character. This is evident when one analyzes the monologuing and shot choices of the short film or the descriptions and dialogue in the story. A satirical genius not recognized as such in his early years, Vonnegut published what is now a staple in high school classrooms in 1961. This work is named for a character who appears only briefly, but in that time creates a very strong impression; Harrison Bergeron is a fourteen year old boy who surpasses most of society in every measurable quality. Vonnegut s brash description of Harrison depicts him as some monstrous being of metal and sandbags, reminiscent of horror movie villains of times long past. Despite his limited dialogue, the words Harrison speaks reinforce this image to a tee; he is a power hungry beast of a boy. Victim to delusions of grandeur, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It has some similarities with the mass production; however, it is quite different from the craft production. One of the main similarities that the lean production shares with the mass production is that they both use the assembly line for the production of the vehicles, which was initiated by Ford. Unlike, mass production: Ohno placed a cord above every work station and instructed worker to stop the whole assembly line immediately if a problem emerged that they couldn t fix (56). In the mass production, if the problem occurred, and no one paid attention to it while the production process, then the car company had to fix the errors in all the vehicles that had been produced no matter how large the quantity was. In the lean production of vehicles: Ohno instead instituted a system of problem solving called the five why s (56). Taiichi Ohno, the founder of Toyota company, made sure that once the problem has been identified in the production process, then what kind of precautions company can take to prevent the problem, so it never occurs again, which saved a lot of time compared to mass production. • 32. The Pros And Cons Of Misfolded Protein Introduction The central dogma of molecular biology conveys the idea that genetic information passes from DNA to RNA before culminating in protein synthesis (Bandyra Luisi, 2015). In essence, our genetic information is mainly used to code for specific proteins. There are 20 amino acids that can be bonded together in many different orders to form a number in excess of 10 million proteins across all biological organisms (Innovateus, 2015). Proteins have many different uses and functions, as well as modifications. Examples of these differences include glycoproteins with carbohydrates attached to be used in the cell membrane and phosphorylated serine molecules that act as metabolites. For the protein to be able to carry out its specific function, it must fold in the correct way. A precise path must be followed to allow the correct shape to be formed and if there is an error in this process, the misfolded protein could lead to dangerous diseases forming. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The point of using this molecule is to reduce the risk of proteins folding into non functioning shapes and aggregating (Saibil, 2006). Protein aggregation is the accumulation of misfolded proteins and they can form insoluble plaques known as amyloids. There are specific and non specific forms of chaperones and it is thought that their existence was a product of evolution. Therefore, protein misfolding is likely to have been a prominent feature of life, encouraging the eventual production of quality control molecules. A mutation to the chaperones can render them obsolete and in some cases they are not present at all. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease that causes loss of motor neurons and progressive weakness including loss of speech(Wijesekera Leigh, 2009). Its onset typically occurs in the sixth decade of life but rare instances can happen earlier. It can begin as bulbar onset which affects the voice, breathing and speech patterns or limb onset which can begin in the arms or legs (Wijesekera Leigh, 2009). Roughly 90% of cases of ALS are sporadic and not linked to familial history of the disease(Wijesekera Leigh, 2009). If so would employees who work at fast food establishments or even major corporate heads of these billion dollar fast food chains allow their own children to indulge themselves in them, knowingly aware of the vast risks they could embark on later in life due to their unhealthy choices? David Zinczenko brings up valid points on how fast food is harmful to one s body in Don t Blame the Eater, . Zinczenko is able to effectively argue against the manipulation of the food industry by showing the reader that the consumer is the victim while the food industry is the one to blame. His use of questioning, personal appeals, imagery, direct tone and colorful diction results in a compelling case that supports his accusations of manipulation by the fast food industry. Zinczenko asks questions to support his arguments and guide the reader to what he believes to be actually true. He starts off the essay using an analogy: is the case of children who sued McDonald s for their obesity the same as the case of middle aged men suing Porsche for their speeding tickets? (Paragraph 1). He points out the fallacy of the men suing someone else for something that was their own fault (such as receiving a speeding ticket), but brings attention to children who shouldn t be blamed for what society claims is their responsibility. The next question he asks relates to what fast food restaurants would argue/rebuttal with; shouldn t we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scattered throughout the book are several dialogues which share numerous characteristics. Some particular conversations are especially demonstrative of these elements. Heller uses these dialogues to communicate his ideas to the reader. In chapter XXXVI, several military ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What crime? We don t know yet, said the colonel. But we re going to find out. And we sure know it s very serious (373). Heller s governmental agents are illogical to either a subhuman or to asuperhuman extent. In another instance, an undercover C.I.D. man fails toconsider the possibility that the culprit who incorrectly edits letters would sign a nameother than his own. Time after time these agent display profound disregard for the highercranial facilities. In the same way that the bureaucratic thought process is convoluted, governmental action (or inaction) is also often senseless. Often the very nature of an actionprecludes itself: this sort of situation crops up during the interrogation, for instance, when one of the military officers asks the chaplain for a handwriting sample in order tocompare the sample to a letter. When the handwriting sample fails to match that of the letter, the officer concludes that of course of course! the chaplain is fakinghis handwriting: I can t tell you how disappointed I am in you. For what? persisted the chaplain more frantically. What have I done? For this, replied the major, and, with an air of disillusioned disgust, tossed down on the table the pad on which the chaplain had signed his name. This isn t your handwriting.
