Rocky Mountains Research Paper
Today is the day! I get to visit the Rocky Mountains. I have never seen the Rocky Mountains.
Also, I am going on their 100th anniversary. The Rocky Mountains have been there for over 300
million years. In 2015, Rocky Mountain National Park was the third most visited national park
with over 4.1 million visitors. I have to get there early because it will be packed. The
temperature can drop up to 20 degrees on top of the mountains, so I better bring a jacket. The
Rocky Mountain National Park is only an eighth the size of Yellowstone National Park. I am also
going to camp in the Rocky Mountains. There are 5 campgrounds with 585 campsites in the
national park. I finally get there and see the most beautiful sight in my entire life. There

Summary Of The First Ice Skates
In the article The First Ice Skates Helped People Travel in the Winter by Smithsonian.com,
adapted by Newsela staff, the main idea is the evolution of ice skates. For example, in the
section New And Improved Smithsonian.com states, Today s skates are four times faster than
the original bone skates. Still, bone skates served people well for thousands of years. By saying
this, Smithsonian is explaining how one way the skates have evolved, they are now faster.
Another example of how ice skated changed over the years, is in the introduction, The ice skate
dates back at least 3,000 years, to the Bronze Age. Back then, people in eastern Europe and Russia
built skates out of animal bones. Their skates let them glide in very different ways than

Essay on Does Artificial Human Cloning Challenge Ethical...
Does Artificial Human Cloning Challenge Ethical Boundaries?
Are you one of the millions of humans that take their individuality for granted? If so, adding a
replica of a loved one no big deal. Or is it? Human cloning, will it be the wave of the future which
will create a human being that will genetically superior or simple replace a loved one that died?
What would a parent pay to replace a lost child $1000.00, $10,000.00, or as much as one million
dollars, and if so would this be justifiable, moral, or even ethical? Cloning another human being
through artificial means draws speculation, fear, and debate. These concerns would suggest that it
borders unethical boundaries, is currently not safe enough for human reproduction. The causes, ...

(History)
This unprecedented development of DNA opened new doors and concerns of how to use this new
enhancement capability. Should this development be used to create a cloned human being, which
until recently only happened naturally through the birthing process of identical twins? Should this
new found code not be used at all? The development of DNA soon led to the introduction of a term
called somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). This involves transferring the nucleus of somatic
cells into a nucleated oocyte. This process means removing the nucleus from an unfertilized egg,
then inserting it into the egg of the nucleus from an adult animal cell. The manipulated oocyte is
treated with chemicals or electric in order to stimulate cell division and an embryo is formed
(Johnson 2002). The (SCNT) research became reality in 1997 with the breakthrough of cloning the
first mammal At Roslin Institute in Scotland an embryologist by the name of Ian Wilmut and his
team replaced the nucleus from an oocyte of a blackface ewe with the nucleus of a cell from the
mammary glands of a six year old Finn Dorset sheep. They transferred the resulting embryo into the
womb of a surrogate ewe and approximately five months later Dolly was born. She was genetically
identical to the Finn Dorset ewe from which the somatic cell had been obtained (Human genome
project information. 2002). In the announcement of her controversial birth, an

Influences Of Hinduism
It is the human nature to adapt in various condition. Every religion has evolved since the beginning.
Hinduism has gone through the evolution as well. Influences of Islam and Christianity can be seen
in the Hinduism due to India being invaded by Muslims and British Colonist. Some of the religious
belief and practices have been changed or stop practicing over the period of time. This paper will
mainly highlight the changes since Islamic until the British colonial India. Hinduismwas fading
away when other religion takes over India. Islam has influence the Hinduism in several ways

In addition, child marriage started to become more common as well. Often Muslim rulers and
officials kidnapped Hindu girls. Due to the kidnapping of the Hindu girls, their parent had to
practice child marriage. According to the history of India, It was emphasized that the proper age
for the marriage of girls was seven and that marriage after the age of eleven or twelve was sinful.
Just like the influence of Muslim on Hindu, Christianity also has huge impact on a Hindu society.
The British Colonization of India had many effects on these beliefs. These effects ranged from a
different use of the Caste System and how it was practiced, or, on a larger scale where many
Hindus converted due to the many circumstances surrounding the conversion (Unknown, 2016) .
Caste system plays a huge role in Hinduism. There are mainly four caste The Brahmans, usually
priests and scholars, are at the top. Next are the Kshatriyas, or political rulers and soldiers. They are
followed by the Vaishyas, or merchants, and the fourth are the Shudras, who are usually laborers,
peasants, artisans, and servants

The Argument Against Human Experimentation
For the debate, my side was the Opposition, which means that I am against human
experimentation. I think it is wrong because there are people who have died and suffered through
torture. My evidence consists of electroshock therapy on kids, the CIA drugging citizens, and
Japanese research. In the 1960s, Dr. Lauretta Bender began what she believed to be a
revolutionary cure for children with social issues electroshock therapy. Bender s methods included
interviewing and analyzing a sensitive child in front of a large group, then applying a gentle
amount of pressure to the child s head. Supposedly, any child who moved with the pressure was
showing early signs of schizophrenia. Bender was said to be unsympathetic to the children in...

Unit 731 was responsible for some of the most atrocious war crimes in history. Chinese and
Russian subjects men, women, children, infants, the elderly, and pregnant women were subjects
for experiments which included the removing organs from a live body, amputation for the study
of blood loss, disease resistance, and some prisoners had parts of their bodies frozen and thawed.
Humans were also used as living test cases for grenades and flamethrowers. As the Affirmative
would say that human experimentation is good because it has resulted in saving people s lives, and
medical research, but some experiments are just unnecessary! Just because a child might be shy or
have social problems, does not mean that there is any right to electrocute them! Or drugging
innocent citizens or CIA personnel without volunteering to see what effects will happen! And have
it last for 20 years! The Opposition does not agree with human experimentation. I think it is wrong
because there are people who have died and suffered through torture. As the traumatizing evidence
has said, people have been killed, or disfigured through these experiments! Luckily, due to
technology we don t have human experimentation

Tuberculosis ( Tb ) Is Caused By Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis which is an acid fast bacterium. M.
tuberculosis uses the respiratory tract as the principal portal of entry. Tuberculosis is spread from
person to person through microscopic droplets released into the air. This can happen when someone
that has the active form of tuberculosisin the lungs which has not been treated coughs, speaks,
sneezes, spits, laughs, or sings. The majority of active cases result from reactivation of old dormant
infections. Although TB is contagious, it s not that easy to catch.
You re much more likely to get tuberculosis from someone you live with or work with rather than
from a stranger.
There are two TB related conditions that exist which are the ... Show more content on

TB can lead to spinal pain and joint destruction, meningitis, impair the liver and kidney s waste
filtration functions, cause blood in the urine, and can impair the heart s ability to pump blood.
M. tuberculosis enters the respiratory tract where it travels to the lungs deep into the alveoli
and is engulfed by macrophages. One of the major features of M. tuberculosis is its capacity to
block the acidification of the phagosome and consequently to disable phagosome lysosome
fusion in phagocytic cells. After time, the tubercles can change to a cheese like consistency
called caseous lesions. When caseous lesions calcify they are called Ghon complexes which
show up on X ray s. Tubercles can sometimes liquefy and form air filled tuberculosis cavities
which allows the bacteria to spread. This spreading of the bacteria can affect many parts of body
like the bladder, bones, brain, joints, kidneys, lymph nodes, spine, and reproductive organs. Cell
mediated immunity then develops and alerts T cells.
There are two kinds of tests that are used to conclude if a person has been infected with
TB bacteria. These tests are the tuberculin skin test (Mantoux test) and TB blood tests. A positive
TB skin test or TB blood test only tells that a person has been infected with TB bacteria.

I Walk Into A Local Coffee Shop
I walk into a local coffee shop, eager to begin researching the topic for my thesis paper.
Immediately, I am bombarded by a series of sense experiences: the glowing orange yellow of the
overhead lights, the smell of roasting coffee and steamed milk, the warmth flowing from my
cup, and the chatter of the patrons around me as they talk amongst themselves or engage in their
own work. As you read that sentence, you likely begin to create your own mental image of my
coffee shop with a varying degree of accuracy depending upon the skill of your imagination.
Suppose that you have the best coffee shop imagination skills in the entirety of human history,
and can take my description, however lacking, and create a perfect representation of my coffee
shop. I take a look at your picture and am amazed by how closely you have captured every detail.
It is as though you were there with me, and I begin to reminisce on my experience. But, is it
possible for you to reminisce alongside me? Can you smell the coffee and feel the impact of
your shoes on the concrete floor as I did? Obviously not, you would probably say, as you were not
there with me. However, suppose that I brought you with me. Are you smelling the coffee, seeing
the lights, and feeling the floor in the same way that I do? I would say no, as would many
philosophers. This is because you and I are fundamentally different persons with fundamentally
different qualia. In this paper, I will examine three highly influential arguments for

When Cybersecurity Policy Is Discussed The Topics Often
When cybersecurity policy is discussed the topics often focus on technology, corporate culture, and
security awareness. The success of an organization in defending its most valuable asset, data,
depends on the proper implementation of several security practices. Ensuring that the human aspect
of cyber securityis addressed is vital, for the culture of an organization can greatly impact both the
security posture and defense of information networks.
This paper addresses the human aspects responsible for SCADA System vulnerabilities and

The NIST, in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), establish performance
goals that should be met to enhance cybersecurity (The White House, 2013). Because compliance is
voluntary, the standards set by the NIST came from industry best practices to appease private
operators and ensure that the cybersecurity of the nation s critical infrastructure was improved
through compliance. SCADA Systems are pervasive throughout our nation s critical infrastructures
which govern many aspects of the population s daily life. Travel, the movement of goods, essential
utilities and basic life sustainment necessities are all dependent on properly functioning SCADA
Systems. Executive order 13636 ensures that SCADA systems are integrated with and function in
conjunction with other devices that report real time health of operations. Should these systems be
compromised, national security would be placed at risk. An example of vulnerable infrastructure
are Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) which are used for remote transmission of credit card

The Impact Of Foreign Policy On International Trade Essay
Ever since the first involvement of government in international trade, many people have posed their
opinion about what the role of government should be in it. Different factors are involved when it
comes to deciding what this should be. It impacts a lot of people, so in order to do that, trade
policy must be properly defined, identify what the roles of government currently are, and their
involvement in it, and then analyse what should be their role. Trade policy is how a country carries
out trade with other countries (Commercial Policy, n.d). Even though a lot of people support
government intervention in international trade, countries would benefit a lot more if the government
removes protectionism and promotes free tradeinstead.
Trade policy is defined as a collection of rules and regulations that are made by public officials
which relate to trade (Trade Policy, 2010). An organisation that makes the rules of trading
amongst its member nations is the World Trade Organisation (WTO). They are the ones who
handles trade issues, supervises trade policies, gives technical assistance to developing countries
and participates with other international trade organisations (World Trade Organisation, n.d). New
Zealand is an example of a country that works with the WTO. Due to this, it enables them to have
a free trade policy. Trading is essential to New Zealand s economy, as they can only afford the
services and goods that they import by selling exports to other countries. Free trade

Hitler s And The Nazi Party
Hitler s henchmen were those inside the Richstag and other important segments of the German
government. These include Joseph Goebbels, Hermann Goering, Rudolf Hess, Heinrich Himmler,
Ernst Rohm, Reinhard Heydrich. It is debated if they escaped justice or not.
Joseph Goebbels was born in 1897 and became a doctor in philosophy in 1920. Due to his hatred of
the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, he joined the Nazi partynear the end of 1924 to help build
support for the party in Berlin. In 1923 he was given full control of the Nazi s propaganda
machine. Goebbels was elected into the Reichstag in 1928 and, at 1933, was given the role as
the Minister of Enlightenment and Propaganda , which he worked as until 1945. His skill at the
role gave him the nickname as the Poison Dwarf . At the near end of the Second World War
when Berlin was besieged by the Russians during April to May 1945, Joseph stayed with Hitler in
his bunker. Which he was given Hitler s watch as a token of appreciation for being with him to the
very end. On May 1st, Goebbels poisoned his six children then shot his wife and then himself.
Hermann Goering was born in 1893 and found popularity in World War One as a fighter ace.
Winning many awards for bravery and was the last commander of the infamous Richthofen Fighter
Squadron. He joined the Nazi Party in October 1922 and wounded in the Munich Putsch. In 1928,

Origins of the Cold War Essay
Origins of the Cold War
Revisionist historians tend to regard the outbreak of the Cold War as a result of American hostility
or, at least , diplomatic incompetence, while the more traditional view lays the responsibility
squarely at the feet of the Soviet Union. Assess the validity of each view.
The Cold War,said to have lasted from the end of World War II to the dismantling of the Soviet
Union in 1991, was one of the most significant political events of the 20th century. For nearly 40
years the world was under the constant threat of total devastation, caught between the nuclear
arsenals of the United States, Great Britain, and France on one side and the Soviet Union and the
People s Republic of China on the other. Any... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One such act of aggression came when the Soviets attempted to gain complete control of Berlin by
forming a blockade against all of the other Allied forces. Despite the barrier, the United States
airlifted tons of supplies to those who were in need of them in Berlin. This was the very beginning
of antagonistic relations. Another form of aggression that angered the Americans was Stalin s
refusal to hold free elections in Eastern Europe, while he covertly set up their governments to act as
puppet satellites, forming a protective barrier around the U.S.S.R. The Soviets reluctance to reunify
Korea and the strong Communist atmosphere in North Korea also disgruntled Americans and hurt
diplomatic relations. Overall, each step that the Soviet Union took to strengthen its power and the
power of the Communist party was viewed as an act of aggression, and there are many historians
who strongly believe that the Soviets were at fault in the instigation of the Cold War due to these
immense acts of aggression. The period in the United States following World War II could more
aptly be named American Hysteria rather than history according to the more revisionist historians.
As the Soviet Union grew more and more powerful, every American grew more frightened of the
Communist movement. No event greater exemplified this than McCarthy s Communist witch hunt
of the 1950 s. The Cold War tensions stemmed from the fear and paranoia that

Investigation of Dark Matter
Introduction
Throughout the years, scientists have been looking for the missing mass of the universe; it has yet
remained an unsolved mystery. Using different methods, scientists have tried to determine the mass
of the universe and surprisingly found a discrepancy suggesting that ninety percent of the mass of
the universe is nowhere to be found. Then here comes the term dark matter , referring to this
unfound matter of the universe. It is called dark because it gives off no light and matter because it
has to have some mass to be able to explain the effects that they produce. There have been different
perspectives about dark matter. Some scientists think that dark ... Show more content on

Copernicus and his Explanation ==============================
Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish astronomer, and his explanation about how the solar system
moves around the sun became the groundwork of modern astronomy. Furthermore, he proposed that
the sun is the center of the universe. He said that if one assumed that the sun is the center of the
universe, it would be simpler to describe the positions of the other planets and their movements,
too. And with Galileo Galilee s invention of the telescope, it was proven that Copernicus theory was
valid.

Copyright And Licensing Of Art
Copyright and Licensing explained.
No artwork exhibited in an open display is invulnerable; anytime an artwork becomes known, it is
predisposed to relative alterations, falsifications, and reuse by other artists. Countless art
movements are fashioned around the revision of earlier works and representations. As an artist, one
must accept the unavoidable fact that one day there will probably be alterations to their artwork.
Once the great Pablo Picasso argued that: Bad artists copy. Good artists steal . In this essay it will
be explained the rules governing the copyright and licensing. The emphasis of this essay will be
also focusing on what are the steps to follow to grant a license to a third party in order to make it
liable to use my work of art, that in this case will be an image from one of my paintings.
The existence of copyright is indispensable especially aiming on intellectual property rights in art,
and whether it must be used not simply to protect the truth of the artist but moreover to encourage
future creativeness in the art industry. The meaning of copyright is the sole rights to generate
copies and to control literary, musical, or artistic work for a number of years; within Australia and
in many other countries this is 70 years from the artist or producers death or from the day of
publication if later.
As an artist, I am the owner of the copyright of my artworks as far as my work is original. This
means that the work must not be copied from another

Mothers Work Case
1.What facts in this case appear to be the most important to you?
When I think about Mothers Work and the firing of one of their pregnant employees, Papageorge,
what I find most alarming is that some members of Mothers Work management felt that she could
not do her job efficiently because she was pregnant. I find this disheartening considering the founder
of the company started the company while she was pregnant and marketed the company to working
class, pregnant women. Another fact that I deem important would be that another member of the
management team, be it lower, refused to fire Papageorge stating that it was against the law to do
so. The same manager informed her that there were ways around the law and to fire her anyways.

I believe the publicity from this case has damaged the reputation of Mothers Work because even the
suggestion of discrimination tarnishes the reputation of a company. Employees may not want to

in Mothers Work if they feel like they are a company that discriminates or has a bad public image.
Women may choose to shop elsewhere because of the how Mothers Work chooses to treats their
female employees.
3. What actions (if any) should Mothers Work, Inc. take? What message should the company send
to the public? Who is Mothers Work s target audience?
In my opinion Mothers Work needs to seriously and immediately address the issue. They needed
to send an immediate announcement to all management that there will be diversity training. They
needed to make public a flex schedule that is beneficial to pregnant employees and show that
they support their employees. While their target audience may be their customers I will always

Preludio, By Nisha Coleman
Busking in Paris is the second oldest profession in this beautiful city. There are many mistaken
beliefs about buskers. Mostly, buskers are recognized to be homeless, unemployed, drug addicts,
etc. Some are. But some are also artists like Nisha Coleman. Coleman shaped her story Preludio by
her work as a busker in Paris. She went to Paris, with a slim budget, a language level of French
sufficient enough to help her with small interactions with others, her violin, and an extreme
craving for free will. Her status as a sans papier and as a musician inform the way she tells this
story as she based her whole story on these information s.
Coleman shaped her story Preludio by her work as a busker in Paris. She always wanted to live
free. Eat, sleep and work only when she wanted to. A new lifestyle seduced her, as much as a new
adventure and she decided to come to Paris. Her story is shaped by her work as a busker and we
can recognize it just by how she describes her lifestyle in Paris. How she came with nothing, but
her violin; ready for a new experience. In Preludio, Coleman gives another image of buskers. ...

The experimenters hypothesis is that the suspect who was at the crimescene will have DNA that

DNA that does not match the sample DNA. The sample wells are placed near the negative

A way to get unreliable results is not using accurate pipetting or not do an accurate sample delivery
technique. Also, not washing the pipet between uses can contaminate and mix the substance with
other substances, and therefore change the results. It is possible for two people to share identical
DNA, if they are identical twins. This is because they come from the same fertilized egg. The
results are also not completely conclusive. This is because the results only show that the suspect
was there at the crime scene, not that the suspect did the crime.
The results that the experimenters learned in this lab is used all through the world during police
investigations. The police can use DNA fingerprinting and gel electrophoresis to find the innocent
suspects of a crime. To find the DNA to use, the police can use blood or hair strands that were

Stereotype A Thought By Beverly Daniel Tatum
Stereotype a Thought Today, many believe that stereotypes have been eradicated throughout our
modern world, this is far from the truth. Beverly Daniel Tatum, an author of several books
including Why Are Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria asks, How did academic
achievement become defined as exclusively white behavior? Tatum has an interesting point,
however stereotyping is not just about race it can be about gender bias, or body issues too. Ann
DuCille, author of From Multicultural Barbie and the Merchandising of Difference says;
Barbie s body is a consumer object itself a vehicle for display of clothing and spectacular trappings
of a wealthy teenage fantasy life . Ducille gives a good example of body politics, and the
importance of not only focusing on race. Thus, is a good example of how stereotypes are learned
by how one is treated in schoolor at home. Education about racial identity, gender equality, and
body shaming, to an extent, will help eliminate some forms of stereotyping and create a more
understanding and equal society. Therefore schools are not the problem, stereotypes, however
racist, sexist, or just plain mean, are learned at home and in schools from peers, parents and
teachers alike. In a way, stereotypes will never truly be eliminated from our world because from the
day we are born we notice differences. One may argue that it is just a distinction between people,
which constitutes stereotyping. Just

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas was completed in 1844, and is one of his most
well known works, along with The Three Musketeers. Originally published in the Journal des
DГ©bats in a serial of eighteen parts, the novel appeared in book form in Paris by PГ©tion in 18
volumes with the first two issued in 1844 and the remaining sixteen in 1845. The story takes
place in France, Italy, and islands in the Mediterranean Sea in 1815 1839. This means that the
story occurs during the era of the Bourbon Restoration, and begins just before the Hundred Days
period. The story follows Edmond DantГЁs through the changes in personality in an attempt to
seek revenge on those who ruined his almost perfect life. Dumas seeks to show the results of
jealousy and revenge, love and happiness in this literary classic. The story opens in Marseilles
with a crowd watching the ship Pharaon come into port. Among the crowd is the owner of the
ship, Monsieur Morrel, who is informed that the captain of the ship passed away at sea. The ship
s first mate, and the protagonist, DantГЁs assures Morrel that the ship ran smoothly after the loss
of the captain. The ship s supercargo Danglars, jealous of DantГЁs abilities and praise, tries to
tarnish the laudation by informing Morrel that DantГЁs made a stop at Elba. DantГЁs replies it
was under the wishes of the captain, to which Morrel congratulates him for following the man s
dying wishes. Morrel declares that after speaking to his partner, DantГЁs

German Military Strategist In 1914
German military strategist were ready when the declarations of war began flying all over Europe.
They intended to lock off the Russians in the east, smoothly kick France out of the war through a
plan known as the Schliefffen Plan, then throw their full force, collaborating with Austria Hungary,
against the Russians. The Schliefffen Plan, named after General Alfred von Schlieffen who created
it during 1905, called for invading the small countries like Luxembourg and Belgiumin order to
bypass to the north the strong fortifications along the French border. After a rapid conquest of the
small countries, the German advance would continue into northern France, spin around Paris to the
west and take the French capital. It almost worked, but German commander in chief General
Helmuth von Moltke decided to send his troops east of Paris to engage and defeat the weakened
French army straightly. In doing so he displayed his rightwing to counterattack by the French and a
British Expeditionary Force, resulting in the First Battle of the Marne, September 6 10, 1914.
Despite casualties in the hundreds of thousands, the battle was a stalemate, but it stopped the
German drive on Paris. Both sides began digging a network of trenches.

Annotated Bibliography On The Martian
Paper Topic and Annotated Bibliography of The Martian Novel and Film Study Andy Weir s
novel, The Martian, is part of a shift in science fiction film and literature, representative of an era
of scientific literacy. Weir s novel is written partially as an epistolary novel from the perspective
of Mark Watney, a marooned Ares III astronaut. Set in the not too distant future, Weir worked
tirelessly to ensure scientific accuracy throughout the novel; the film is also dedicated to nearly
complete scientific accuracy. The novel s fascinating publication process reflects mainstream
reader desire as opposed to small, specific audience desire for stories that focus on scientific
accuracy, especially as compared to early science fictionfilm and... Show more content on

She also discusses the reasons that a planet like Mars is considered such an ideal planet for
supporting life. For my research, Perkowitz text is significant because it describes the many
issues that Weir s The Martian and its film version do not discuss. Where The Martian focuses
on human s colonization on Mars, many films before have focused on alien life on Mars. This
helps to shed light on the possible reasons that Weir choose to title his novel and its film
adaptation what he did. In Perkowitz s final chapter and afterword, she discusses the benefit of and
makes a call for science fiction that reflects actual science and realistic scientists. The Martian,
published only a few years later, answers this

Rubin Hurricane Carter Depicted In The Movie The...
Everyday extraordinary events happen. Events of survival, overcoming great odds, sometimes
luck and occasionally stories of great injustice. The story of Rubin Hurricane Carter could
defiantly be perceived as one of great injustice. It could also be perceived as a immensely
manipulated story made popular due to the views of famous and important people. The most
popular belief is the story showcased in the 1999 movie The Hurricane. The film tells the story of
an innocent carter, framed for the murder of three innocent white people and sentenced to jail for
life only to be freed.
Upon viewing the film you are left believing that carter is a wonderful human being incapable of
the murders. However the story of the real Rubin Carter has much to be desired. Many facts of the
events remain the same, rarely are events changed completely , but much is left out or altered. This
is achieved in the film by silencing significant people. The primary example of this is John Artis.
John Artis was Rubin s alleged accomplice at the night of the shootings. John was mentioned maybe
twice throughout the whole film even though he also allegedly committed the crimes. There are
other examples of silencing. Other notable people silenced are; the victims families, the prosecuting
lawyers and others officers involved in Rubin s arrest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Father Of The Colonoscopy
In the year 2012, my father in law was having some pain in his side and abdomen, but because
the pain would come and go, he ignored it and blamed it on his career as a mechanic which
required strenuous manual labor. As time went on, the pain continued to worsen, but he put off
any tests because he was about to turn 50 and knew he would be going in for a checkup at that
time. In 2013 he went in for his routine colonoscopy, but we could have never prepared
ourselves for how this test was about to affect all of our lives. My father in law was nervous the
day of the colonoscopy because the pain in his stomach had worsened when he had to flush out
his system before the test could be completed. The doctors assured him that this was normal for
most everybody who had to go through this process, and they seemed very optimistic about the
way the results would turn out. Once the procedure was complete, the doctors informed us that
everything had gone well, but they did find multiple masses in his colon that they had taken
samples of and had sent to pathology to have tested. We were instructed not to worry since this
could be nothing, and they would contact us as soon as they had the results. About a week later
we received the good news that his tests had come back negative, and that he was healthy. We all
went along with our lives until nine days later when my mother in law received a voice mail

My Philosophy Of My Personal Philosophy In The Classroom
All students are unique individuals, who have their own way of learning. Some students, might find
it easier to learn from hands on work rather than reading materials. Others, may be capable of
learning with just reading content. Since every student learns differently, I believe there isn t just
one philosophical way of how students should be taught. I would incorporate a couple different
philosophies and teachingmechanisms into my classroom. I also believe that the environment a
child is in impacts the way they learn. Students should have a set of rules to follow, but also be
able to express what they think and feel just as well. My personal philosophyis that there are
numerous ways to teach children the materials they need to know. Pragmatism is one philosophical

must be on time for certain things. In a workplace you have a schedule to follow. I believe
implementing certain rules early in life gives the opportunity for success and good work ethic.
Number two will be to complete all tasks in a timely manner. This sets them up for a good work

The definition of diffusion state that molecules will travel down the concentration gradient, or, that
molecules will move from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. Building
off that, osmosis, whose most basic definition is the diffusion of water, was responsible for the
results in this experiment. Each dialysis bag was concentrated with less water and more sucrose,
hence, the bag is hypertonic. The water outside the bag has more water and less solute, hence, it is
hypotonic. In other words, the area outside the bag had a higher water potential while the area
inside the bag had lower water potential. Water naturally moves from an area that is hypertonic to
hypotonic, or, an area with high water potential to an area with low water potential. Water potential
is lowered when there is solute so that is why the dialysis bag has a lower water potential. Since the
dialysis bag is selectively permeable, meaning only certain molecules may pass through the
membrane, the net movement of water was the most influential factor in this experiment since
sucrose could not pass through the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Overpopulation
Overpopulation is one of the biggest problems for India. It is the root cause of poverty and poor
health with in the country. The rate of increase of population, especially during the last sixty five
years have been alarming. The standard of living has gone miserably low. Beside the social well
being, the economic prosperity of that specific modern nation is dependent on the rate of its
populationgrowth. A balance growth of population is desirable for economic growth and
development. Overpopulation, on the other hand, puts a strain on the available resources, hinders
economic growth, disturbs the food and water supply, and exhausts the available fuel.
Internationally speaking, population pressure ultimately leads to political tensions, envy and
distrust, and sometimes even to war.
The relationship between the human population and its local environment is unbalanced. This is
problematic because as individuals, we rely on a local area for subsistence; therefore, we are

Lighting In Hamlet Essay
Similarly, to other theater designers, lighting designers play an important role in the world of the
play. In order to create the appropriate environment and set the mood for the play, the lighting
designers need to choose carefully the lighting techniques they will use to meet the audience s
expectations plus the overall concept of the production. For these reasons, I will describe the
lightingdesigns that we came up with for the Shakespeare s play Hamlet, Prince of Denmark
First of all, we have our main lighting techniques for the majority of the scenes contributing to the

mood and kind of scary environment. The colors choice is a combination

The Scientific Revolution And Religion
The Scientific Revolution was not intended to be a war on religion and tradition even though it
was interpreted as such. The Scientific Revolution, which lasted roughly from 1543 to 1642, was
arguably the greatest development in the European intellectual history (Kreis, 2012). It was a
revolution in the way people perceived the world. During this era, scientific revolutionaries like
Nicholas Copernicus, the Polish astronomer (1473 1543); Descartes, the French philosopher (1596
1650) and Isaac Newtonthe British mathematician (1642 1727) tried to better understand man and
the physical world thereby overturning the authorities of the Church and the scientists and
philosophers who preceded them, including Ptolemy, Galen and Aristotle. It was mainly the
Copernican theory that caused many to perceive the Scientific Revolutionas a war on tradition. As

Platos Republic Essay
Plato s Republic
Critics of The Republic, Plato s contribution to the history of political theory, have formed two
distinct opinions on the reasoning behind the work. The first group believes that The Republic is
truly a model for a political society, while the other strongly objects to that, stating it as being far
too fantastic for any society to operate successfully by these suggested methods. In an exchange
between Crito and Dionysius, this argument is first introduced, with Crito siding with those who
agree that The Republic is a realistic political model, and Dionysius arguing on behalf of those
who doubt it as being realistic, claiming it to be a criticism of politics in general. ... Show more

In his fifth chapter, entitled The Problem Stated, Plato introduces what he believes to be wrong with
the current system of politics (Plato 41).
He starts by describing the Social Contract theory (Plato 53), the method used during his time, a
method Plato rejected. It says:
all the customary rules of religion and moral conduct imposed on the individual by social sanctions
have their origin in human intelligence and will and always rest on tacit consent. They are neither
laws of nature nor divine enactments, but conventions which man who made them can alter, as
laws are changed or repealed by legislative bodies.
It is assumed that, if all these artificial restraints were removed, the natural man would be left only
with purely egotistic instincts and desires, which he would indulge in all that Thrasymachus
commended as injustice (Plato 41 42).
In response to this description, Plato wrote,
First, I will state what is commonly held about the nature of justice and its origin; secondly, I shall
maintain that it is always practiced with reluctance, not as good in itself, but as a thing one cannot
do without; and thirdly, that this reluctance is reasonable, because the life of injustice is much the
better life of the two so people say. That is not what I

Okonkwo s Violence
Okonkwo s violence in this novel says a lot about his character. The acts of violence keep the
story interesting and also aid the development of the theme. There have been numerous occasions
of violence that clue us, the readers, what kind of man Okonkwo is as well as how their culture is.
Not only do these acts make this story one worth discussing, it makes it one worth reading.
Things Fall Apart is a good book, however it is one with a slow beginning. The book s
introduction is not necessarily interesting until chapter four where he beats his wife during the
week of peace. I think there was a certain culture shock that the only thing wrong with this beating
was the time he decided to do it. It says Okonkwo was not the man to stop beating someone half
way through, not even for fear of a goddess. (21) He beat his wife even though he knew he would
later be punished by the goddess. After that incident their culture became so evident and so
particular that the story was highly alluring. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Okonkwo. He had felt very anxious but did not show it. (85) He was worried about his daughter

A romantic hero is someone who going against the societal norms and relates more to nature than
to people; that is definitely true of Egor. A reoccurring theme in Snowball Berry Red is Egor s
semi obsession with birth trees. Right after Egor gets out of prison, he has his taxi driver pull over
so that he can look at some birch trees. He talks to them as if they were people: He turned toward
the birch tree and stroked it with the palm of his hand. Hullo there! Ah, you look so... You re
like a bride. Are you waiting for your groom? Soon, soon he ll come. (131) When at the orgy, he
speaks to all the people there telling them of how impactful nature is for him: Brothers and
sisters, he said with feeling, my soul has just been shaken by a tender experience... Soon the
little flowers will begin to bloom. The birch trees will turn green. Egor suddenly choked up and
completely and had to stop... You can go out and walk and walk... through a little clearing deep
in the woods, down into a ravine where a brook is bubbling (166). Egor is so taken aback by the
imagery of nature that he is made speechless. Something against the major grain of society.
Nature for Egor is an example on how to live, as opposed to living the same as everyone else.
This is seen in the description of Egor after he leaves Lyuba: Egor stepped out into the wide
expanse of a new field... It had not yet been plowed, and pointed little shoots of grass had just
begun to break through. Egor strode along briskly, resolutely, stubbornly. That was the way he
had gone through life as he did through this field resolutely and stubbornly. He would fall, then
get up and again stride along. He would push on as though in that lay his only salvation, just to
go and go, never stopping, never looking back, as though in that way he might escape from himself.

The Failure Of Communism
Virtually every Communist experiment including Russia s ultimately failed. Today Communism
survives in just a handful of countries China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba and even there it is
fraught with enormous problems: the Communists maintain a hold on the reins of power but at the
price of making significant concessions to capitalism (Results)1. Although striving for success in
the work class, Communismmostly brings negative results, whether through oppression, or even the
reaction to it by other people. It has been a nuisance throughout modern history and has been
difficult to get rid of. It has sparked wars, created civil unrest and great suspicion, and has
oppressed people to the point of poverty. Wherever Communism is,... Show more content on

Also, most of these reactions have been out of fear. The creation of an actual communist nation
led to much unrest and suspicion toward Communists in the United States and other Capitalist
countries. This dissention was the product of the fact that Communism is firmly against
Capitalism. The First Red Scare took place in 1919 1920. It was a widespread fear of
Bolshevism and anarchism (Red Scare)9. It intensified following an anarchist bomb plot in 1919.
The paranoia became so bad that Bolshevism was marked as the explanation for all social order.
After World War II, a Second Red Scare emerged. The second Red Scare refers to the fear of
communism that permeated American politics, culture, and society from the late 1940s through the
1950s, during the opening phases of the Cold War with the Soviet Union (Second Red Scare)10. It
lasted considerably longer than the 1st Red Scare. Senator Joe McCarthy used this period of
suspicion to his advantage by creating a list of 250 Communists working in the State Dept. in the
hopes of being reelected. His claim was bogus, his numbers constantly changed, and he never once
identified any person guilty of disloyalty. He did create an increased atmosphere of paranoia and
hysteria in the United States until the Senate finally censured him after the Army McCarthy
hearings in 1954 (McCarthyism)11. The Cold War

Virgin Island Fertilizer Essay
St. Croix s Complicated Potential for Sustainable Island Agriculture
History and culture as obstacles to a sustainable local food economy.
Located in the Caribbean Sea, Saint Croix has a sub tropical island climate and is the largest of
the U.S. Virgin Island(USVI) territories with the greatest percentage of arable land. Little seasonal
temperature variability, low humidity, and a year round growing season has historically offered the
island significant advantages for agricultural development and production. Even with seasonal
rainfall and periods of drought, the island is extremely capable of supporting a wide array of
tropical fruits. These include coconuts, mangos, papayas, guavas, passion fruits, soursop, mamey

fails to reap the appreciation and acknowledgement it truly deserves. Though it can be a profitable

consistent, and environmentally sensitive workforce. Many of the most prized jobs on the islands
are now working for businesses outside of agriculture, such as hotels, inns, resorts, eco tourism
adventure enterprises, and food service industries. Those fortunate enough to make it to the
university often end up leaving to seek superior career or job growth opportunities available to

questionable actions. For instance, he insulted the fallen Khizr Khan s parents, who said that some
of Trump s intentions are very detrimental to the country. Furthermore, Trump has been know to

Integrating Technology in the Language Arts Classroom Essay
Integrating Technology in the Language Arts Classroom
School leaders today are under extreme pressure to improve student achievement levels. Yet, in the
face of tight budgets, threats to cut extra curricular activities, and an extensive shortage of
textbooks in the schools, exactly what are teachers supposed to do to ensure that no child is really
left behind. Despite what looks like a dead end, there is hope. By integrating the usage of
technology in the Language Arts classroom, students are presented with a wide range of
opportunities for improving in writing, literacy, and cultural awareness.
According to the article, Are we there yet? a survey issued by the National School Boards
Foundation says that many schools ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is still both enthusiasm for and doubts about the usage of educational technology in the
classroom. However, the integration of technology in reading instruction has kept up with the
movements and changes in the field of the reading and writing curriculum. While faced with many
book shortages, this article also gives ideas for strengthening the skill of students in writing and
reading instruction. It suggests that students participate in invisible writing as a sort of pre writing
activity. Through this, students will turn the monitor of the computer off for approximately one to
three minutes, so that they cannot see what they are typing. Students have reported that this
exercise has helped them develop fluency, has freed them from continuously checking their
mistakes and losing their train of thought, and has also increased their interest in viewing what they
had to say. Thus, students will have learned how to produce more thoughtfully enriched texts that
teachers can build on through other types of instruction.
In addition to this, in the face of textbooks shortages, teachers have at hand a source for retrieving
other forms of literature. On line are numerous programs that encourage students to read along with
it, while it reads aloud. There are also programs that allow students to retrieve definitions and
illustrations of the words, and thus promoting students to interactions in literacy.
Lastly, in the article,

Essay On Sentiment Classification
The aspect level sentiment analysis overcomes this problem and performs the sentiment
classification taking the particular aspect into consideration. There can be a situation where the
sentiment holder may express contrasting sentiments for the same product, object, organization etc
Techniques for sentiment analysis is generally partitioned as (1) machine learning approach, (2)
lexicon based approach and (3) combined approach (Meddhat et al., 2014a). There are two
approaches for the lexicon based approach. First one is the dictionarybased approach and the
second one is the corpus based approach that utilizes the factual or semantic strategy for discovering
the polarity. The dictionary based approach is based on finding the sentiment seed... Show more

Some combined rule algorithms were proposed in (Medhat et al., 2008a). Therefore, a study on
decision tree and decision rule problem is done by Quinlan (1986). Probabilistic Classifier
Probabilistic classifiers make the utilization of blend of models for classification. Every class is
considered to be a component of the mixed model. We have described various probabilistic
classifiers for sentiment analysis problem in the next subsection. 4.1.1.4.1 Naive Bayes Classifier
(NB). It is the frequently used classifier in sentiment analysis. In sentiment analysis, naive Bayes
classifier calculates the posterior probability of either positive class or negative class depending on
the sentiment words distributed over the document. The work of naГЇve Bayes classifier is based
on the Bag of word extraction of features in which the word s position is overlooked in the whole
text. This classifier uses the Bayes theorem. It calculates the probability for the sentiment word in a
document and tells whether that word belongs to the positive or negative class. The probability can
be calculated using the given formula. This assumption results in Bayesian Network. A Bayesian
network is a directed acyclic graph containing nodes and edges, where nodes denote the random
variables and the edges denote the conditional dependencies. It is a conditional exponential
classifier that takes the feature sets with label and converts them into

Roaring 20s Vs. The Eisenhower Era
Roaring 20s vs. The Eisenhower Era The US had a large change between the 1920s and the
1950s. There were shifts in the economy, many social aspects, and the US s level of intolerance.
The 1920 s were a time of false hope and the 1950s were a time of true prosperity. After WW1 the
US had a period of false security, though they did not know it at the time. The citizens of this
time lived a fake life of economic security, they paid for cars and groceries with credit, bought
stocks on the margin. This lead to a false sense of security for the American Economy. Under the
supposed economic prosperity was a crumbling infrastructure that started with the farmers having

Culture of Malaysia
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Malaysia is a one of the multi cultural country. Cultures have been meeting and mixing in Malaysia
since the very beginning of its history. More than fifteen hundred years ago a Malay kingdom in
Bujang Valley welcomed traders from China and India. Malaysia s cultural mosaic is marked by
many different cultures, but several in particular have had especially lasting influence on the
country. Chief among these is the ancient Malay culture, and the cultures of Malaysia s two most
prominent trading partners throughout history the Chinese, and the Indians. These three groups are
joined by a dizzying array of indigenous tribes, many of which live in the forests and coastal areas
of Borneo. Although each of these cultures has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

accepted ritual of the orientation process. Where, the senior students will rag the junior or new

juniors is always becomes low power.
In the workplace, employees are discouraged from questioning or critiquing senior level
colleagues. Here the senior level employees will have the high power to do some decision, without
consulting with the junior level employees. The gap between the senior level and junior level
makes the employees to hold the higher authority and no authority powers.
Because of three different cultural in Malaysia, power distance in family will be vary by their
own culture. For the Malay, the parents allow their children to take decision after a time of age,
normally when they started to work. For the Chinese, they will give more freedom to their
children s to make decision. For the Indians, the parents always hope their children s will listen to
them and will follow the parent s decision. Normally this will fall into studies, job selection and
marriage. Parents in Malaysia usually will chose the study field for their children s rather than ask
their children s interest. For the job decision, most of the parents

INVESTING IN IT INFRASTRUCTURE
Question 1. How should Settle and his team evaluate the e learning option? What factors should
they consider when deciding between eLearning and traditional, classroom based education?
Settle should evaluate the eLearning option based on the following principles for delivering value:
(1) Have a clearly defined portfolio value management process. In the case, Settle has had a
basically financial budget already. There are two vendors that clearly listed to choose, one is
RealServer, and the other is Microsoft.
(2) Aim for chunks of value. ELearning would enable MBUSA to scale its training systems without
building additional training facilities. It improves employee productivity by ... Show more content

(6) Other factors like student access to computers and bandwidth availability is not a problem.
Because I have mentioned before that Greg Settle would apply eLearning to a number of
technicians that exceed the classroom capacity, those who have access to computers to take the on
line courses.
In conclusion, the web based distance learning option benefits MBUSA more than adding a training
center does.
Question 2. Build a financial model to determine if MBUSA should invest in eLearning. Should
MBUSA make the investment? What are the key drivers of value?
Generally speaking, budgets are means to implement IT strategy, linking the long term goals of the
organization and the short term goal execution through the allocation of resources to activities.
According to the MBUSA financial model in the excel sheet, the NPV of adding a training center
is $167,737,828.11, while the NPV of building web based distance learning is $141,952,163. To
pick the one with higher NPV, MBUSA should invest in eLearning.
The key drivers of value are:
(1) The distance learning system would enable MBUSA to scale its training systems without
building additional training facilities, instructor salaries, administrative staff, and building utilities
and maintenance.
(2) The distance learning system would eliminate the costs of videotapes and other documentation.
(3) NetSTAR would eventually reach all dealerships in the MBUSA network.

Othello And Iago Relationship Analysis
One of the major components in Othello, that Shakespeare incorporated throughout the play, is
relationships. These relationships are driven by different motivations and give each individual
something unique. Each character contributes disparate factors to their relationships and change
from scenario to scenario. The presentation of different relationships in Othellorepresents many of
the underlying motifs of the play. Othello and Iagos relationship, the most prominent relationship,
represents the duality of the play. Othello believes that Iago is helping him and guiding him to
be a better person; however, Iago is using Othello to get his way. Iago is annoyed that he didn t
receive promotion from general Othello ( Relationships in Othello ). Iago is dissatisfied with
Othello s choice because he believes he deserves the promotion. Iago becomes vengeful and
devises a plan to enact his revenge. I follow him to serve my turn upon him (Shakespeare). Iago
is shown to only serve Othello for his own purposes. Othello cannot see through the facade that
Iago has put up and follows him blindly. Othello trusts Iago totally as Iago has a reputation in
Venice for being very honest ( Relationships in Othello ). Moreover, Othello calls Iago Honest Iago
on multiple occasions in the play. Othello is shown to believe that Iago is honest and trustworthy
by Shakespeare to emphasize the duality of the relationship between Iago and Othello. Their
relationship is a major aspect in

Are you one of the millions of humans that take their individuality for granted? If so, adding a replica of a loved one no big deal. Or is it? Human cloning, will it be the wave of the future which will create a human being that will genetically superior or simple replace a loved one that died? What would a parent pay to replace a lost child $1000.00, $10,000.00, or as much as one million dollars, and if so would this be justifiable, moral, or even ethical? Cloning another human being through artificial means draws speculation, fear, and debate. (History) This unprecedented development of DNA opened new doors and concerns of how to use this new enhancement capability. Should this development be used to create a cloned human being, which until recently only happened naturally through the birthing process of identical twins? Should this new found code not be used at all? The development of DNA soon led to the introduction of a term called somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT). This involves transferring the nucleus of somatic cells into a nucleated oocyte. This process means removing the nucleus from an unfertilized egg, then inserting it into the egg of the nucleus from an adult animal cell. The manipulated oocyte is treated with chemicals or electric in order to stimulate cell division and an embryo is formed (Johnson 2002). The (SCNT) research became reality in 1997 with the breakthrough of cloning the first mammal At Roslin Institute in Scotland an embryologist by the name of Ian Wilmut and his team replaced the nucleus from an oocyte of a blackface ewe with the nucleus of a cell from the mammary glands of a six year old Finn Dorset sheep. They transferred the resulting embryo into the womb of a surrogate ewe and approximately five months later Dolly was born. She was genetically identical to the Finn Dorset ewe from which the somatic cell had been obtained (Human genome project information. 2002). In the announcement of her controversial birth, an ... M. tuberculosis enters the respiratory tract where it travels to the lungs deep into the alveoli and is engulfed by macrophages. One of the major features of M. tuberculosis is its capacity to block the acidification of the phagosome and consequently to disable phagosome lysosome fusion in phagocytic cells. After time, the tubercles can change to a cheese like consistency called caseous lesions. When caseous lesions calcify they are called Ghon complexes which show up on X ray s. Tubercles can sometimes liquefy and form air filled tuberculosis cavities which allows the bacteria to spread. This spreading of the bacteria can affect many parts of body like the bladder, bones, brain, joints, kidneys, lymph nodes, spine, and reproductive organs. Cell mediated immunity then develops and alerts T cells. There are two kinds of tests that are used to conclude if a person has been infected with TB bacteria. These tests are the tuberculin skin test (Mantoux test) and TB blood tests. A positive TB skin test or TB blood test only tells that a person has been infected with TB bacteria. ... • 12. The Impact Of Foreign Policy On International Trade Essay Ever since the first involvement of government in international trade, many people have posed their opinion about what the role of government should be in it. Different factors are involved when it comes to deciding what this should be. It impacts a lot of people, so in order to do that, trade policy must be properly defined, identify what the roles of government currently are, and their involvement in it, and then analyse what should be their role. Trade policy is how a country carries out trade with other countries (Commercial Policy, n.d). Even though a lot of people support government intervention in international trade, countries would benefit a lot more if the government removes protectionism and promotes free tradeinstead. Trade policy is defined as a collection of rules and regulations that are made by public officials which relate to trade (Trade Policy, 2010). An organisation that makes the rules of trading amongst its member nations is the World Trade Organisation (WTO). They are the ones who handles trade issues, supervises trade policies, gives technical assistance to developing countries and participates with other international trade organisations (World Trade Organisation, n.d). The Cold War,said to have lasted from the end of World War II to the dismantling of the Soviet Union in 1991, was one of the most significant political events of the 20th century. Despite the barrier, the United States airlifted tons of supplies to those who were in need of them in Berlin. This was the very beginning of antagonistic relations. Another form of aggression that angered the Americans was Stalin s refusal to hold free elections in Eastern Europe, while he covertly set up their governments to act as puppet satellites, forming a protective barrier around the U.S.S.R. The Soviets reluctance to reunify Korea and the strong Communist atmosphere in North Korea also disgruntled Americans and hurt diplomatic relations. Overall, each step that the Soviet Union took to strengthen its power and the power of the Communist party was viewed as an act of aggression, and there are many historians who strongly believe that the Soviets were at fault in the instigation of the Cold War due to these immense acts of aggression. The period in the United States following World War II could more aptly be named American Hysteria rather than history according to the more revisionist historians. As an artist, one must accept the unavoidable fact that one day there will probably be alterations to their artwork. Once the great Pablo Picasso argued that: Bad artists copy. Good artists steal . Beverly Daniel Tatum, an author of several books including Why Are Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria asks, How did academic achievement become defined as exclusively white behavior? Tatum has an interesting point, however stereotyping is not just about race it can be about gender bias, or body issues too. Ann DuCille, author of From Multicultural Barbie and the Merchandising of Difference says; Barbie s body is a consumer object itself a vehicle for display of clothing and spectacular trappings of a wealthy teenage fantasy life . Ducille gives a good example of body politics, and the importance of not only focusing on race. Thus, is a good example of how stereotypes are learned by how one is treated in schoolor at home. Education about racial identity, gender equality, and body shaming, to an extent, will help eliminate some forms of stereotyping and create a more understanding and equal society. Therefore schools are not the problem, stereotypes, however racist, sexist, or just plain mean, are learned at home and in schools from peers, parents and teachers alike. In a way, stereotypes will never truly be eliminated from our world because from the day we are born we notice differences. One may argue that it is just a distinction between people, which constitutes stereotyping. Just ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Originally published in the Journal des DГ©bats in a serial of eighteen parts, the novel appeared in book form in Paris by PГ©tion in 18 volumes with the first two issued in 1844 and the remaining sixteen in 1845. The story takes place in France, Italy, and islands in the Mediterranean Sea in 1815 1839. This means that the story occurs during the era of the Bourbon Restoration, and begins just before the Hundred Days period. Among the crowd is the owner of the ship, Monsieur Morrel, who is informed that the captain of the ship passed away at sea. The ship s first mate, and the protagonist, DantГЁs assures Morrel that the ship ran smoothly after the loss of the captain. The ship s supercargo Danglars, jealous of DantГЁs abilities and praise, tries to tarnish the laudation by informing Morrel that DantГЁs made a stop at Elba. DantГЁs replies it was under the wishes of the captain, to which Morrel congratulates him for following the man s dying wishes. Morrel declares that after speaking to his partner, DantГЁs ... They intended to lock off the Russians in the east, smoothly kick France out of the war through a plan known as the Schliefffen Plan, then throw their full force, collaborating with Austria Hungary, against the Russians. The Schliefffen Plan, named after General Alfred von Schlieffen who created it during 1905, called for invading the small countries like Luxembourg and Belgiumin order to bypass to the north the strong fortifications along the French border. After a rapid conquest of the small countries, the German advance would continue into northern France, spin around Paris to the west and take the French capital. It almost worked, but German commander in chief General Helmuth von Moltke decided to send his troops east of Paris to engage and defeat the weakened French army straightly. In doing so he displayed his rightwing to counterattack by the French and a British Expeditionary Force, resulting in the First Battle of the Marne, September 6 10, 1914. Despite casualties in the hundreds of thousands, the battle was a stalemate, but it stopped the German drive on Paris. Both sides began digging a network of trenches. ... Annotated Bibliography On The Martian Paper Topic and Annotated Bibliography of The Martian Novel and Film Study Andy Weir s novel, The Martian, is part of a shift in science fiction film and literature, representative of an era of scientific literacy. This helps to shed light on the possible reasons that Weir choose to title his novel and its film adaptation what he did. Events of survival, overcoming great odds, sometimes luck and occasionally stories of great injustice. The story of Rubin Hurricane Carter could defiantly be perceived as one of great injustice. It could also be perceived as a immensely manipulated story made popular due to the views of famous and important people. The most popular belief is the story showcased in the 1999 movie The Hurricane. The film tells the story of an innocent carter, framed for the murder of three innocent white people and sentenced to jail for life only to be freed. Upon viewing the film you are left believing that carter is a wonderful human being incapable of the murders. However the story of the real Rubin Carter has much to be desired. Many facts of the events remain the same, rarely are events changed completely , but much is left out or altered. This is achieved in the film by silencing significant people. The primary example of this is John Artis. John Artis was Rubin s alleged accomplice at the night of the shootings. John was mentioned maybe twice throughout the whole film even though he also allegedly committed the crimes. There are other examples of silencing. Other notable people silenced are; the victims families, the prosecuting lawyers and others officers involved in Rubin s arrest. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 2013 he went in for his routine colonoscopy, but we could have never prepared ourselves for how this test was about to affect all of our lives. My father in law was nervous the day of the colonoscopy because the pain in his stomach had worsened when he had to flush out his system before the test could be completed. Once the procedure was complete, the doctors informed us that everything had gone well, but they did find multiple masses in his colon that they had taken samples of and had sent to pathology to have tested. Each dialysis bag was concentrated with less water and more sucrose, hence, the bag is hypertonic. The water outside the bag has more water and less solute, hence, it is hypotonic. In other words, the area outside the bag had a higher water potential while the area inside the bag had lower water potential. Water naturally moves from an area that is hypertonic to hypotonic, or, an area with high water potential to an area with low water potential. A reoccurring theme in Snowball Berry Red is Egor s semi obsession with birth trees. Right after Egor gets out of prison, he has his taxi driver pull over so that he can look at some birch trees. He talks to them as if they were people: He turned toward the birch tree and stroked it with the palm of his hand. Hullo there! Ah, you look so... You re like a bride. Are you waiting for your groom? Soon, soon he ll come. (131) When at the orgy, he speaks to all the people there telling them of how impactful nature is for him: Brothers and sisters, he said with feeling, my soul has just been shaken by a tender experience... Soon the little flowers will begin to bloom. The birch trees will turn green. Egor suddenly choked up and completely and had to stop... You can go out and walk and walk... through a little clearing deep in the woods, down into a ravine where a brook is bubbling (166). Egor is so taken aback by the imagery of nature that he is made speechless. Something against the major grain of society. Nature for Egor is an example on how to live, as opposed to living the same as everyone else. This is seen in the description of Egor after he leaves Lyuba: Egor stepped out into the wide expanse of a new field... The creation of an actual communist nation led to much unrest and suspicion toward Communists in the United States and other Capitalist countries. This dissention was the product of the fact that Communism is firmly against Capitalism. The First Red Scare took place in 1919 1920. It was a widespread fear of Bolshevism and anarchism (Red Scare)9. It intensified following an anarchist bomb plot in 1919. The paranoia became so bad that Bolshevism was marked as the explanation for all social order. After World War II, a Second Red Scare emerged. The second Red Scare refers to the fear of communism that permeated American politics, culture, and society from the late 1940s through the 1950s, during the opening phases of the Cold War with the Soviet Union (Second Red Scare)10. It lasted considerably longer than the 1st Red Scare. Senator Joe McCarthy used this period of suspicion to his advantage by creating a list of 250 Communists working in the State Dept. in the hopes of being reelected. His claim was bogus, his numbers constantly changed, and he never once identified any person guilty of disloyalty. He did create an increased atmosphere of paranoia and hysteria in the United States until the Senate finally censured him after the Army McCarthy hearings in 1954 (McCarthyism)11. The Cold War ... It suggests that students participate in invisible writing as a sort of pre writing activity. Through this, students will turn the monitor of the computer off for approximately one to three minutes, so that they cannot see what they are typing. Students have reported that this exercise has helped them develop fluency, has freed them from continuously checking their mistakes and losing their train of thought, and has also increased their interest in viewing what they had to say. Thus, students will have learned how to produce more thoughtfully enriched texts that teachers can build on through other types of instruction. Every class is considered to be a component of the mixed model. We have described various probabilistic classifiers for sentiment analysis problem in the next subsection. 4.1.1.4.1 Naive Bayes Classifier (NB). It is the frequently used classifier in sentiment analysis. In sentiment analysis, naive Bayes classifier calculates the posterior probability of either positive class or negative class depending on the sentiment words distributed over the document. The work of naГЇve Bayes classifier is based on the Bag of word extraction of features in which the word s position is overlooked in the whole text. This classifier uses the Bayes theorem. It calculates the probability for the sentiment word in a document and tells whether that word belongs to the positive or negative class. The probability can be calculated using the given formula. This assumption results in Bayesian Network. A Bayesian network is a directed acyclic graph containing nodes and edges, where nodes denote the random variables and the edges denote the conditional dependencies.
