supports aerobic and facultative organisms, and the bottom layer of the lagoon
includes sludge deposits and supports anaerobic organisms (USEPA, 2002). EPA
observed that all lagoons were not sealed (no concrete, liner, clay, etc.), which may
create suitable conditions for groundwater contamination.
During the EPA visit, it was observed that the REPSA I lagoons were almost full to
capacity, with a free board of approximately one foot (0.3 meters) (See photo 1,

crimes. I first had knowledge of the Charles Manson case after it was referenced in
the TV show, Criminal Minds, after a cult killed 7 people.

of crime started from as young as 10 years old. His first crime was robbing a liquor

The effects of heart rate on differing durations of exercise were studied in this
experiment. For people, heart rate tends to increase as they perform physical
exercises. The amount of beats per minute gradually increases as people perform
physical activities. Heart rates taken before exercise are relatively low, and heart rates
taken one minute after exercise increase significantly. Heart rates slowly begin to
decrease after they are taken two minutes and three minutes after performing the step
test, which is to be expected. The rates of intensity throughout exercise relates with
changes in heart rate throughout the step test performed in the experiment (Karvonen
2012). The age of the participants affected the experiment, since the heart rate during
physical exercise, in this case the step test, is affected by age (Tulppo 1998).
The heart rates of participants was tested before the step test, one minute, two
minutes, and three minutes after the step test was performed in this experiment.

positionality is a way of understanding how power and privilege affect perspective. I
am in agreement with Rich that recognizing one s own politics of location is a useful
starting point for feminist theory. Rich s main arguments are that the US education
system failed to provide an adequate retelling of world histories, that white feminism
is ignorant of its privileges, and that through the awareness and inclusion of racial
movements can feminist theory grow. I will also compare Rich s article to Simone
de Beauvoir s first chapter, Biological Data from her book The Second Sex, and to
Judith Butlers article Performative Acts and GenderConstitution: An Essay in

From the time I can remember I have been fascinated by Rocks, Gems and
minerals. Over the years in my spare time I learn about the different kinds; Where
they are from, what they can be used for. Each rock, mineral and gem has energy and
many are used for meditation and healing I am going to start by going over the three
main groups of rocks; Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic.
Igneous Rocks come form deep within our Earth where the magma is. Magma is
made from molten gasses and minerals. When Magma erupts from a volcano it is
then called Lava. The temperature of the lava is approximately 2100 degrees
Fahrenheit. Above the ground, the lava quickly cools and hardens into new igneous
rock. The new rock forms into pumice, Granite, basalt, rhyolite and Obsidian to
name a few. Sometimes Magma doe not erupt it will cool slowly underground and
create igneous rock. Before civilization the earth was a very busy place, erupting
volcanoes everywhere formed the land we live on today. These volcanoes can still be
active; North America is part of the Cascadia which lays on the pacific plate. The
pacific plate is part of what we call the ring of fire a very active region for volcanic
activity and earthquakes. One thing is for sure we are always moving with new land
