1. Examples Of A Persuasive Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Examples of a Persuasive Essay" can be a challenging task, as
it requires a thoughtful analysis of persuasive techniques and the ability to provide compelling
examples to support the argument. Crafting a persuasive essay involves not only presenting a
clear and logical thesis but also persuading the reader to adopt a specific point of view.
One of the challenges is finding relevant and effective examples that illustrate the principles of
persuasion. It requires thorough research to identify case studies, historical events, or real-life
scenarios that can serve as powerful illustrations. Additionally, selecting examples that resonate
with a diverse audience and effectively convey the intended message can be a daunting task.
Another difficulty lies in structuring the essay in a way that builds a strong argument. This
involves organizing the content coherently, incorporating a compelling introduction, body
paragraphs with well-supported examples, and a persuasive conclusion. Striking the right balance
between providing enough information to support the argument and avoiding information
overload can be a delicate task.
Moreover, maintaining a persuasive tone throughout the essay is crucial. The language used
should be convincing, and the writer must anticipate and address counterarguments to strengthen
their position. Achieving this balance requires a deep understanding of the topic and a keen
awareness of the audience's potential objections.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic "Examples of a Persuasive Essay" demands a
combination of research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. It is a challenging
process that requires careful consideration of content, structure, and tone to successfully
persuade the reader. For those seeking assistance, similar essays and more can be ordered on

3. The Armenian Genocide In The Ottoman Empire
Jayden: Starting in 1915, the Turkish government stimulated a plan to exterminate
Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire. Most sources agree that there were around
2 million Armenians in the Ottoman Empire at the time of the massacre. By the early
1920s, when the manslaughter and deportations finally ended, 1.5 million of Turkey s
Armenians were deceased, with many more forcefully removed from their homeland
in the Ottoman Empire. The genocide left the Armenian community in a wreckage ,
and present day Armeniais only a fragment of the size of Armenia before the
disastrous massacre committed by the Ottoman Empire.
Sam: Today, most history experts and others worldwide label this event as a genocide.
A genocide is the deliberately executing of a large group of people, most of which are
of the same ethnic group or nation. Unfortunately, the Turkish government does not
acknowledge the damage that these events had upon the people. Despite pressure
from Armenians and social justice advocates throughout the world, it is still illegal in
Turkey to converse about the events that included the Armenians during this era.

Madison: While there are few solutions to genocide, the best way to solve this is to
create a better situation in this massacre. An example of this would be to better
educate the Armenian children about this horrible bloodshed in hopes that what
happened will not occur in the future. When becoming educated on what s happening

solutions to prevent this in the future and not repeat

1903...
The Change in Method of Suffragettes Between 1903 and 1915 From 1903 through to
1915, the methods that the suffragettes used to gain the right to vote dramatically
changed. In my essay I will explain how and more importantly why the suffragettes
went through several methods to get themselves noticed by the male government. It
was in 1903 when the suffragettes started to try and gain enough publicity so that
they were recognised. This tactic mainly consisted of ineffectual activities like
producing and then distributing leaflets. Most people would just discard or throw
these away. The newly founded WSPU, (which was formed by Emily Pankhust)
would also make pointless petitions and organise moves... Show more content on

They did this by heckling MP s. This meant that they would chain themselves to
MP s houses, their limo s or anywhere else the MP s were, especially David Lloyd
George. They also organised large scale demonstrations that would hold up traffic for
hours and deliberately get themselves arrested to gain publicity. All of these things
were done to show the government that they were not to be messed with, but
unfortunately the women were only charged with petty vandalism. This is why
Christabelle Pankhurst decided the suffragettes would call the government s bluff
and begin their third campaign, violence. Not only this but they also changed tack
because of the situation concerning the conciliation bills. Lloyd George promised to
present a conciliation bill to parliament if they called off their militancy campaign.
They agreed to this but the bill presented was simply talked out . Another two bills
suffered the same fate until the women again felt betrayed by the Liberals and David
Lloyd George in particular. Because of this the womens militancy campaign got
worse not better, but at least womens emancipation was being discussed where it
mattered most, parliament. From 1911 the suffragettes went up a gear and tried to
call the governments bluff. They started to cause a real stir and politicians took
notice, for the wrong reasons.
6. Greek Art And Greek Architecture
Greece No matter where you are, chances are you have witness an inspiring piece
of Greece art and Greece architecture. Whether it s a building, furniture, or pottery,
you have seen ideas that started from Greek. Even houses have resemblance to
some of the most famous buildings we seen throughout history. The architecture of
ancient Greece is defined by the temples built to glorify their gods and goddesses
and express pride in their cities. Though in today s world we may not glorify gods
and goddesses when we began to design a home, but we do know how to turn once
traditional into a more contemporary feel. Modern Greek architecture is generally
constructed with wood, unbaked bricks, limestone and marble, and terracotta and
metals. Contractors today still use the methods, and of all the architectural designs
used by ancient Greeks throughout history, three major systems have withstood the
test of time and are still used today. Doric, Ionic and Corinthian styles have their own
characteristics, but, however they can look very similar.
The Doric (sturdiest) was based on the proportions of a man. It was the first order
and arguably the most famous Greek system used in today s world. It seemed to have
known base and has the simplest capital atop the fluted shaft. The Parthenon
communicated the ideals of the order and harmony for what Greek architecture is
known for.
As for the Ionic it was lighter in character to reflect the portions of women. Unlike the

7. Compare And Contrast Squid And Octopus

Squids vs. Octopus The ocean animals I am going to compare are octopus and squid.
I am comparing these two things because they are unique ocean creatures. I think that
it is interesting how they both catch their prey, and how they live. It is also really
interesting to learn what they eat and how they do things.
The first thing I am comparing is an octopus to a squid. An octopus has 8 tentacles,
and uses all of them to catch their prey. They live in dens on the seafloor. Octopus
lose their outer shell and get a new one back. They also have a round head. Octopus
lifespan is 3 5 years. It has two eyes and four pairs of arms, and like other
cephalopods, it is bilaterally symmetric. It has a beak, with its mouth at the center
point of the arms. They feed mainly on worms, crabs, whelks and clams. The giant
Pacific octopus feeds on shrimp, clams, lobsters, and fish, and even larger prey,
such as sharks and birds. It has a beak, with its mouth at the center points of the
arms. Octopuses are ocean creatures that are most famous for having eight arms and
bulbous heads. They squirt ink to deter predators; and being boneless, they can
squeeze into (or out of) tight spaces. The water depth in which they live ranges from
the shallow, coastal waters to about about 330 feet deep. The... Show more content on

Octopus and squid lose their hard outer shell. Squids and octopus both have 8

the main differences with squids and octopus is octopus live in dens on the seafloor,

their prey and move about on the ocean floor. Squids have eight arms lined with
suckers and two specialized tentacles that they use to reach out and capture
8. Use Of Cinematic Techniques In Citizen Kane
The 1940s film industry favored films that were based on reality, such as Citizen
Kane. Orson Welles is the director of the 1941 film, Citizen Kane, which uses the
cinematic techniques of long takes and deep focus shots. Long takes and deep
focus shots are associated with space and time. I will be writing about scene D
where Susan, the second Ms. Kane, is in the middle of a singing lesson. Scene D
contains examples of long takes, deep focus takes, and camera movements. Firstly, a
long takeis defined as a take that has no cuts and continues for a while without
being interrupted. Susan s singing lesson scene is an example of a long take
because the scene in uninterrupted. The scene begins when older Susan recalls her
husband, Mr. Kane s obsession with her singing voice. Then the shot turns into
Susan s memory of a singing lesson where her singing coach does not believe she
has a talent for singing. Furthermore, as the coach is complaining about Susan s
voice, Mr. Kane walks into the room and reprimands the teacher. The function of the
long shot in this scene is to depict the power Mr. Kane has in the scene, even though
he is not present throughout the entire shot. Additionally, the singing coach, the
pianist, and Susan are all present for Mr. Kane s benefit. Furthermore, Mr. Kane
was attempting to salvage his image in the media. Mr. Kane forced Susan to be a
singer and therefore he hired a singing coach to train her, and the pianist, which is
why the characters were all

Wildebeests feeding river ecosystem for years The article I came upon that caught
my interest was how wildebeests help maintain an ecosystem for years in the Mara
River. This subject relates to our unit of study because it shows how a primary
consumer and other land ecosystems depend on the wildebeests to be able to
flourish. This shows that producers could get their food from primary consumers in
special cases and how other organisms benefit from the drowning of thousands of
wildebeests. In the article it states that, an average 6,000 wildebeests drown each
year in river crossing. Subalusky and her colleagues search to see how all that meat
and bone affected the river ecosystem. They retrieved dead wildebeests from the
water to test what
10. A Report On Several Server Roles For A Professional...
I am going to write a report on several server roles. I will explain the features these
roles serve in a professional environment and justify the requirement for them. The
AD DS (Active Directory Domain Services) is a server role used for security,
scalability and management of users and server resources. The AD DS works by
collecting, storing and managing sources of information and data on network. The
server that utilises the AD DS role is known as a Domain Controller. The use of
AD DS on a server, would be for the major aspect of manageability in AD DS to
separate the different elements there is a network this can be such things as users
and computers. These element can then be structured into different areas by the
use of different domain forest, individual domains inside the forest and then
organisational units. The purpose of using AD DS in a professional environment
would be to organise and make the network secure. We can organise our users and
computer in to organisational unit which we can then set file and folder paths also
we can give people read and write access on certain files and folders in a user area
we can also have the OU s linked the different group policies giving certain users or
computers different features or functions. The DNS or the Domain Name Server is
a resolution protocol, this system is used for naming clients and network services.
DNS is used in TCP/IP networks, it is used by resolving alphanumeric names in to IP
addresses. When we require

3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION The CoCaOxM crystals were grown by single
diffusion gel growth technique and the harvested crystals are analysed by FTIR,
XRD, SEM EDX, UV Visible and incubation studied.
3.1 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy The FTIR spectrum of CoCaOxM
crystals were as shown in Fig 3. In FTIR spectrum, a strong band at 3434cm 1 and
3062cm 1 is due to asymmetric and symmetric OH stretching while an intense
absorptions band at 3261cm 1 show inters molecular hydrogen bonded OH stretch.
Intense absorption band at 1612cm 1 and 1318cm 1 can be assigned to asymmetric
and symmetric C=O stretching bands specific to the Calcium Oxalate
Monohydrate. The sharp band at 885cm 1 is due to C C stretching vibrations
which confirm the existence of oxalate group in Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate.
The sharp peak at 781cm 1 is due to O C=O and the wideband at 665cm 1 can be
assigned to the bending modes of the water molecule. However, the peak at 518cm 1
is assigned to the presence of metal oxygen bond (18 21). Thus FTIR reveals that the
growth of COM crystals was due to the presence of O H stretching, C=O, C C, O
C=O and M=O bonds.
There are some additional peaks formed due to the process of doping some
absorption peaks due to OH vibrations are changed because of the incorporation of
dopant in the lattice. In the case of CoCaOxM crystals additional peaks are found at
1285cm 1 and 1462cm 1 which are attributed to the C=O stretching. These peaks are
found to

look at other college s, this would then be a downfall for Reigate as they want as
many people as possible to choose Reigate college for the service they provide.
Government:
The Government work with the college to provide them with a budget of money
which can go towards improving the process of the college for example with the
money the government give the college they can use it to improve the image of the
college by adding more buildings to expand the college to give students a wider
choice around the college. Also the government provide the college with essential
equipment to help enhance the learning of the students as individuals, such as
stationary etc. also as well as the government providing the college with essentials
like stationary for the students they also provide exam boards etc. without the
governments input on the college they would suffer a lot as there would not be
enough money alone for the college to survive and help the students to succeed in
what they want to do for their future career. As without money the college cannot
provide the service for the students at a high standard as they
14. The Government Should Use Digital Information
What will you do if you have access to everyone s personal information? In Your
Digital Trail, and How it Can Be Used Against You from NPR, author G.W. Schulz
Daniel Zwerdling describe how easy the government or any other agency could get
people s personal information. After the rise of crime and terrorist attacks in the
US, the government passed an ACT in order to get access to citizens health
information. A research warrant, a court order or a subpoena are also used to get
anyone s personal information. While some people mention that having access to
American s personal information could help prevent crimes, be more secure or
help to catch criminals, others argue that they do not have privacy, could be used
against us or third parties could have easy access. I believe the US government
should be allowed to use digital information because could help to find lost people,
could be used for criminal prosecution and help to protect the life of others.
I claim that the US government should be allowed to use digital information because
it could help track a missing person. Many people get abducted everywhere or
people get lost in the forest, mountains or with mental issues. Government or agent
officials could find people easier if they have access to personal information. Schulz
Zwerdling (2013) mention that Law enforcement can create a map of timeline of a
person s whereabouts by accessing data from license plate scanners, toll bridge
crossings and mobile phone

You find happiness in the little things. Perhaps a rain storm passed and you were

little things that are keeping you alive. This is how Louie and Phil were in Laura

Louie and Phil used all of their strength to overcome the obstacles they went
through, both physically and mentally. Their physical strength was tested
throughout their entire journey. Being stranded on the ocean took the initial toll
on Louie and Phil s bodies by diminishing them down to 67 87 and 80 pounds,
respectively. Both of them had weighed around 150 pounds when they had
crashed. Louie s mental strength was tested as well. He started to have
hallucinations of people singing in the clouds, most likely due to dehydration. The
two retained their strength though, by focusing on their survival and trying to
remain sane. Their optimism also had a great influence on how strong they were.
In Ruth Robertson s (2016) article The Strength of Optimism she states, There are
many benefits to having a more optimistic mindset. Research tells us that it can
lengthen your life, determine how you overcome life s obstacles, build resilience
and manage the risks of developing depressive disorders and other mental health
issues (para. 3). Robertson is saying that optimism can help you through the hard
times that life throws at us. A positive mindset can transform a life or death

in each chapter are opinions of the individual authors, arguing for or against
censorshipof social, political and economic issues. Among these different chapters I

children, not the federal government. Thierer appeals that even if the lawmakers

Trajan, and it was a bust of some sort. However, the nude body was later added. The
sculpture is in a variation of contrapposto, with the the right arm contracted and
fingers spread out. The full open sculpture makes Trajan seem more youthful, which
applies more culturally to the Greeks, who are concerned with beauty and

The ALP has taken a back seat to accommodating new social movements as it seeks
to take whatever measures necessary to achieving government. In response, the
Greens have used social movements as a platform for the party s campaigning.
The dynamics of election campaigning has evolved in Australia and has seen the
major parties produce less emphasis on traditional ideology (Katz and Mair
2009:762) in their attempts to winning elections by targeting swing electorates.
Therefore, the Greens have emerged as a party of principle in the face of blurring
distinctions between the two major parties who seek to freeze out the minor parties
and maintain their electoral dominance. Minor parties have fallen victim to
elements of Cartelization in Australian politics which aims to prevent any
challenges to the dominance of the two major parties. Furthermore, the Greens
have garnered support through the belief that the Liberals as well as the ALP have
become indifferent to the desires of ordinary citizens as policies become part of the
state than they are policies of any particular party or coalition (Katz and Mair
2009:759). The Cartelization of Australian Politics justifies how divisions within the
ALP have played a significant role in the origins of the Greens as voters seek to
challenge the dominant two party
21. FPD Canines Definition
The report also indicates that the FPD uses canines not because it is necessary to
protect themselves or others from violent offenders, but to punish offenders, without
due process rights, and because the culture perpetuates a sense that the officers do not
need to use any skills or tactics to reduce injury, but to use methods that ultimately

`Job was a faithful follow of God who experienced tragedy as a result of Satan s test

My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the grave is ready for me (Job 17:1 16).
Stage 5 of KГјbler Ross grieving process
This final stage of grief involves the individual coming to acceptance of his
situation or circumstance. Job has a conversation with God in Job chapters 38 42.
God s conversations help Job to further accept his grief and complete the healing of
his grief. Afterwards God rewards Job for not letting his grief affect his loyalty to
God by providing him with more wealth and children than before his tragedy.

The course of action an individual pursues is due to one s motivation, weather that
may be personal influences, or influences from others in the community. The

The varying sources help to influence and guide him through these decisions and

Douglas Light said that our imagination is better than any answer to a question.
Light distinguished between two genres: fantasy from fiction. He described how
fantasy stimulates one s imagination, which is more appealing, but fiction can just
be a relatable story. In the same way, Books and movies are very different entities.
In the short parable Doubt, the readers are lured in to the possibility of a scandalous
relationship between a pastor and an alter boy. The readers curiosity is ignited
because they are not given all the details. Therefore, their mind wanders further than
the plot to create a story and characters that acted on one s imagination; thus, the story

In fact, all the details within the play stimulated one s imagination to create something
that was never stated in writing. In no part of the play does it outright say that Father
Flynn had any encounter with the alter boys other than during basketball practice and
his apparent close friendship with Donald Muller. Yet, through the readers
imagination, they assume scandalous scenarios between the Donald Muller and
Father Flynn while still curious about what the truth is. The viewer was in constant
doubt, of both characters intentions and motives. The parable is filled with indirect
notions, assumptions, and gossiping. So why is this specific parable so entertaining?
Its simple the reader used their imagination to piece together a relationship that at
multiple times in the play cause them to doubt their own beliefs and consider the
opposing possibilities. The play let you feel everything, know everything and live
vicariously through the characters. With the play, you can Sister Aloysius, Father
Flynn, or even Donald Muller; however, with the movie you are merely an observer.
Books allow you to make up parts of the story(visuals and what people are like) while
movies are more direct telling you what to see.
The play involved more character devolement, so the reader was able to learn the

29. Cryptography Vs. Modern Cryptography Essay
Introduction
Cryptography is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the
presence of third parties called adversaries. More generally, cryptography is about
constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from
reading private messages; various aspects in information security such as data
confidentiality, data integrity, authentication, and non repudiation are central to
modern cryptography. Modern cryptography exists at the intersection of the
disciplines of mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering.
Applications of cryptography include ATM cards, computer passwords, and electronic
commerce.
Main Concept of Cryptography
Cryptography is the science of writing in secret code and is an ancient art; the first
documented use of cryptography in writing dates back to circa 1900 B.C. when an
Egyptian scribe used non standard hieroglyphs in an inscription. Some experts argue
that cryptography appeared spontaneously sometime after writing was invented, with
applications ranging from diplomatic missives to war time battle plans. It is no
surprise, then, that new forms of cryptography came soon after the widespread
development of computer communications. In data and telecommunications,
cryptography is necessary when communicating over any un trusted medium, which
includes just about any network, particularly the Internet.
Within the context of any application to application communication, there are some

Motivations are powerful means to direct one s life and to provide a purpose,
however these motivations can come at a price to those whom are close them. The
authors of each short story support this idea by giving the characters of each story a
motivation that inspires them to improve their lives at the cost of the wellbeing of
themselves or other individuals. Each character made conscious attempt to obtain
what desire most; with a motivationas the primary source that dictates what they do.
In the story, A Pair of Silk Stockings, by Kate Chopin, Mrs. Sommers comes into
the possession of the modern equivalent of 400 dollars. This becomes the prime
motivation for Mrs. Sommers shopping spree over purchasing items her family
desperately needs. Mrs. Sommers is left to balance desires of wealth and luxury
and responsibilities as a mother and wife; only to succumb to her deepest desires
in the form of silk stockings. Mrs. Sommers loses control as she gave into the
temptation that she could not move in the direction of the bargain counter ; she
only worries about herself and the day of luxury her funds could afford her. Just as
quickly as she spent money, she also forgot the plans in her mind she had the night

Illegal narcotic drugs represent a $60 billion market in the U.S., and this year alone
the State and Federal governments will each spend roughly $20 billion in attempting
to stifle this market. The amount of money involved in the drug trade, substantially
inflated due to prohibition, makes both systemic corruption and violence inevitable.
The illegal drug trade is a sophisticated international network, and while no nation s
involvement is limited to one economic function, one relationship is crystal clear:

and Mexico. This paper examines the nature of the illegal drug market, the obstacles
faced by the US and Mexico in their war on drugs, as well as the current developments
and a proposed alternative to the allegedly futile and misguided effort.
BACKGROUND
Over the past decade, Mexican drug organizations secured a prominent position in the
cocaine market that was formerly dominated by Colombian drug cartels, and opened
the doors for Mexican groups to dominate the drug trafficking market. According to a
Drug Intelligence Brief by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Mexico
continues to be the principal transit route for cocaine available in the United States an
estimated 70 percent of the cocaine entering the United States is smuggled across the
U.S. Southwest border.[3] Mexico is also a source country for heroin, marijuana, and
methamphetamine available in the United States, as well as various pharmaceutical
drugs.
Drug production and trafficking, as well as the laundering of drug proceeds, is
currently controlled by powerful and well organized Mexican organizations. A major
trafficking group might contain 200 or more members in the Mexico base, with
hundreds of additional members throughout the organization s network. Not
surprisingly, the most prominent trafficking organizations, such as the Arrellano
Felix cartel, control the drug trade across broad tracts

Laurel Thatcher Ulrich uses Martha Ballard s diary to portray life in rural New
England in the late 1700 and early 1800 s. Using this diary and other historical
material she recreates the 27 years of life that Martha has disclosed in her diary. By
using Martha s life and words she recreates what living was like during the pre
industrial era. She features the role that midwives and women in general played in
the economic survival of families during this era. The diaryby itself does not shed
light on all the social and cultural traditions of Martha Ballards time. By using it with
other historical information Ulrich was able to spin a story that gave an
understanding of this era. It also shows why Ballard s story is worth reading about and

Although the story focuses on the works of Martha Ballard she makes it perfectly
clear in the book that caring for the health of others was the responsibility of all
women in the community. Very rarely in the book did Martha attend someone on by
herself. Ulrich states, In such circumstances it was comforting to have the women
with her; they could witness her efforts to ensure a safe delivery and they could
assist with the sorrowful task of preparing an infant for burial. Several times in the
diary Ballard referenced someone laying out the deceased in their funeral clothes or
the after nurse that came to help with a newborn. Martha Ballard had her own family
and home duties to attend. It is chronicled that she would often times stay for days
with someone but it is unrealistic to think she could take care of all things herself.
Ulrich discusses infant mortality rate and that the support of the community is
what made Martha such a great midwife. Ballard did not simply just show up at a
birth. The impending parents had to choose her and ask her to come. Such
confidence comes by word of mouth from someone that has had their child
delivered by Martha. Even those who lost a child can attest that Ballard did all she
could to try to save their child. Having the women present also gives someone else
to pass on Ballard s professional ability to their own

the technology and the understanding of how to use this form of patient pain

of PCA. As this analysis proceeds it will briefly explain what PCA is and how it is

Only patient activation of their infusion pump allows for this fundamental
safeguard to come into play. Later in this paper we will discuss the safety issues
related to the activation of a PCA infusion pump by someone other than the patient,
a practice called PCA by proxy. Although there appears to be significant benefits to
the use of PCA infusion pumps, there are significant safety issues arising from the
use of PCA infusion pumps that can cause severe harm and potentially even death.
Some of these safety issues include infusion pump programming errors, basal
infusion of opioids, and PCA by proxy. A leading type of error identified in doing
harm to PCA patients is the improper dosage or quantity of analgesic medication
(Hicks et al, 2008). This sort of error took place on a patient returning to a hospital for
postoperative pain management following a recent surgical procedure. The nurse was
given an order to manage the patient s pain with hydromorphone administered via
PCA infusion pump. In programming the pump the nurse inadvertently changed the
concentration of the medication from 1mg/ml to 0.3mg/ml, thus leading to errors in

How far do you agree that Garibaldi played a more important part than Cavour in the
Unification of Italy?
Garibaldi and Cavour were two very influential people in the unification for Italy and
without them the unification may not have occurred. Although they both ultimately
wanted the same thing, the unification of Italy, they went about it in different ways.
Cavour was a highly intellectual man, who orchestrated things from a political stand
point ensuring good relations with countries like France, of which without the
unification may never have succeeded. Garibaldi on the other hand was more of

This is one area where he differed from Garibaldi, as there was a point where
Garibaldi s popularity threatened the Risorgimento itself. However there is no
doubting that Cavour was a brilliant politician and improved Piedmont as a whole,
making them modernised and by doing this it may have created the possibility of
Piedmont being a viable ally to France in Napoleons eyes. He also stirred up anti
Austrian beliefs in Piedmont and this helped make the state rally as a whole. If there
is one downfall of Cavour it is the fact that most of what he done was for Piedmont,
and seemed to rather extend Piedmont than make a united Italy, he perhaps could not
appeal to the impoverished states of the south. So in terms of looking at things as a
whole his impact was limited and although he made Piedmont very powerful in terms
of uniting the whole of Italy it is questionable just how important he was. But without
him there wouldn t have been a friendship with France that ultimately allowed Austria
to be driven out, and without this unification wouldn t have been possible.
Garibaldi on the other hand made his fame more through military exploits, showing
himself to be a great military leader and creating an image in the Italian people s
mind of a true hero in which everyone could get behind. He appealed to the people
especially that of the south through his rough upbringing
39. Cellular Respiration Process
Cellular Respiration is the combination of metabolic cells and processes that occur
within the organisms cells. This process coverts biochemical energy into ATP and
results in the removal of waste products. There are four main steps of Cellular
Respiration. Glycolysis, Transport Reaction, Citric Acid Cycle and Oxidative
Phosphorylation. These processes and or steps involved in cellular respirationare
known as catabolic reactions. These reactions are important because they are what
cause the larger molecules to break down into smaller molecules releasing energy
that is necessary in order to carry out the rest of the process. The overall goal of
cellular respiration is to make ATP from the food that we consume. The Ending step

The interference in Oxidative Phosphorylation is know as uncoupling . DNP causes
protons to be pumped across the gradient interfering with the pathway of hydrogen in
the final energy production. This completely interferes with the process of creating
ATP because the leak of protons is increasing. When this happens, Potential energy is
transformed into heat instead of ATP (Grundlingh et al. 2011). When the process of
creating ATP fails, the body must compensate in other ways. To fulfill this,
metabolism increases and speeds up to create energy needed. By doing this, fat and
carbohydrates are broken down and being converted to energy. As this happens, more
fat is being burned and more heat is being produced and causes weight loss due to the
heat being more abundant (Cotton 2015). Throughout this uncoupled inference,
Hypothermia is the result. Hypothermia is when the body is over heated and reaches
an unsubstantial temperature. This is known as the failure of Thermoregulatory

40. Essay About The Disintegration Of Yugoslavia
Yugoslavia was a very successful country under the lead of Josip Broz Tito.
Yugoslavia was made of 6 Republics and those were: Croatia, Montenegro ,Bosnia
Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia and Kosovo together with
Vojvodina which at that time were recognized as provinces. After the death of Tito
Yugoslavia began to demolish. The collapse of Yugoslavia began in 1980, and it
continued until the 27th of April 1992, which in history is known as the date when
Yugoslavia totally collapsed. In my opinion, the reason that the disintegration of
Yugoslavia happened was because of the decline in absolute sovereignty. In this paper,
I am going to talk about the definition of sovereignty, different perspectives about the
disintegration of Yugoslavia from some authors and the decline in absolute
sovereignty which led to the disintegration of Yugoslavia.
So, what is sovereignty? It is the capability of a country to govern itself. Thus,
citizens are the ones who decide about creating government, institutions and choosing
representatives of their state. Yugoslavia constituted several republics, but none of
them possessed the complete autonomy because ... Show more content on

It is very difficult to point out a single major reason that affected the collapse of
Yugoslavia because there were so many, that s why different people have different
opinions towards this issue as for what reason might have had the most influence.
Explanations for Yugoslavias disintegration start from cultural reasons, continuing to
religious and then oppressed rights between the different groups within the nation and
so on.
According to Alan Thornett, after the death of Tito, Slobodan Milosevic wanted to
expand its Serbian territory and make a greater Serbia, by gathering together all
regions that are inhabited by Serbs. This would mean that Serbia would have more
power contrasting everyone else, and a little or no
41. Daniel Vs Ezekiel Essay
Ezekiel and Daniel are alike and different in many ways. Yes, both were Major
Prophets called by God. The history we learn about these prophets should teach us
many things that we as Christians are called to know.
Name:
The names Daniel and Ezekiel are similar in the fact that they were both taken from
Hebrew and both are named after their authors. The difference is apparent when we
look at the meaning of the names. Daniel means God is Judge or God is my Judge ,
whereas Ezekiel means God strengthens or strengthened by God .
Theme:
There s not much similarity in the themes of these books except that in both books,
God s grace is plainly shown. That is about where the similarities end. From there,
Ezekiel s theme is focused on the condemnation of Israel for their sin. Ezekiel is also
a prophecy that the fall of Jerusalem and the Babylonian captivity are necessary
measures for the God of grace to employ if He is to correct his disobedient people and

The difference, however, is when we look at how. In Ezekiel, Christ is pictured in
parables such as the tender sprig which is very similar, and thus reminds us, of the
Branch from Isaiah 11, Jeremiah 23 and 33, and also many other places throughout
scripture. Ezekiel also talks in prophecies when it speaks of Messiah as the King with
the right to rule.
In Daniel, you see Christ in many different aspects. You see Him in the fiery
furnace that protected Daniel s three friends. You see Him also in the lion s den,
preserving his servant Daniel. In this book he is portrayed through a vision as the
great stone who will crush the nations of the world, which points us to the final day
when He comes again.
Canonical Significance: The canonical significance of Ezekiel is that the Holy God
will be worshipped again by a remnant. The canonical significance of Daniel is to
show God s sovereignty in history and prophesy.

42. Office Space And Bartleby Comparison
Office Space is a modern, Hollywood driven adaptation of Herman Melville s 1853
short story Bartleby. It revives Melville s story by imagining modern equivalents for
the major themes and characters of the original. Whiling comparing the works of
Office Space and Bartleby , many similarities and differences are shown.
Although years passed between the creation of the classic short story and the film,
they both possess similarities in plot, theme, and character development. Bartleby
begins in an older office at the start of the industrial age, and Office Space begins in
an office during the compelling cubicle employment days. In the beginning of
Bartleby , the narrator, whom is the lawyer in the book, introduces the characters
early to allow an understanding of the characters and what to expect during the
reading. Mirror this to Office Space as the characters are also introduced early on in
the reading.
The working atmospheres for Bartleby and Office Space are occupied by employees
who seem to repeat the same work over and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Melville chose to literate the reading in first person narrative by the lawyer,
Bartleby s employer. His choice of the lawyer allows the reader to feel close to
Bartleby, but remain mystified by him. On the contrary, Office Space is told through
Peter s eyes.
Unlike Bartleby, Peter cares to interact with others and to take part in a social life.
Upon one morning of ignoring phone calls from Anne, who leaves him and admits
she s been cheating, Peter decides to skip work and ask Joanna, a waitress out to
lunch. Along with lunch dates, Joana joins Peter at his apartment to watch Kung Fu
together. According to the narrator, Bartleby does not seem to leave the office. He
does not eat anything but ginger nuts, the cakes that Ginger Nut himself delivers to
the clerks. It is clear how both characters occupy different social lives from each

that the debt settlement agency you sign up with is legit and licensed by the

means that you are taking on legal action to help resolve your debt problems

44. College Athletes Of The 21st Century
College Athletes of the 21st Century
The argument about whether a college athlete should be compensated comes up
several times a year, especially when the affluent fat cat businessmen are sitting at
home counting their dollars off the backs of amateur athletes around championship
time. The debate is whether amateur athletes that are members of the National
Collegiate Athletic Associationshould be compensated for their use of their name,
likeness, and athletic skill. Conversely, there is an argument that college athletes are
rewarded enough already with scholarships to universities and first looks from
professional teams. The NCAA should be compensating college athletes while in
school. Furthermore, two Michigan State University lawyers state that college
athletes already qualify as laborers under federal labor laws (Cooper). The debate
continues concerning compensation for college athletes, and in considering:
arguments in favor of compensation for college athletes; arguments against
compensation for college athletes; and weighing the evidence of the two arguments;
a logical argument can be made in favor of compensation for college athletes. There
is a reasonable argument that compensation for college athletes is necessary while
attending university. However, the reason for this debate cannot be resolved in such
an uncomplicated matter. College football and basketball bring in six billion dollars
a year. College athletes deal with scholarship gaps that leave them

Unit: 504:Develop health and safety and risk management policies procedures and
practices in health and social care (M1)
1.1 Explain the legislative framework for health, safety and risk management in the
work setting. The Health and safety at Work etc. Act 1974 is the major piece of the
health and safety legislation in Great Britain. It provides the legal framework to
promote, stimulate and encourage high standards.
The Act, when first introduced, provided an integrated system dealing with
workplace health and safety and the protection of the public from work activities. By

confirming that they are being carried out effectively. Each assessment would
identify a review date and include the signature of everyone involved in the
assessments. The Health and Safety of staff, residents and visitors while on the
home s premises or involved in the home s organised activities (e.g. church visits)
must be protected as far as reasonably practicable. Risk assessments are undertaken
for all activities and measures put in place to minimise or control risks.
Empowerment and choice are fundamental principles; it is essential that the service
user is at the centre (person centred approach) and that they have real choices over
how they live their lives, with opportunities to do things in the way that they choose.
There is a means of taking account of all views, individuals/family members,

decision making is the most effective, transparent and safe way to reach a decision
that could be made at the time based on information available at that time.
