Creatine To Avoid Supplements
Natural, performance enhancing supplements are vital in many athletes diet regimen because they are
beneficial in muscle recovery and growth. Aside from the very popular and sometimes overrated post
workout aids of sports drinks, such as Gatorade and PowerAde, or protein shakes and bars, Creatine is
an emerging natural supplement that is becoming popular within the teen sports community. Creatine
already exists naturally in the body and is produced by amino acids that are created by the liver and
kidneys, which are sent through the blood to the muscle, giving the athlete energy. The elevation of
energy, alongside regular weight training, eventually leads to a bulkier and more defined muscled
athlete.
Creatine is the most effective supplement in building muscle which can lead to better athletic abilities
and performance.

Because creatine supplements help muscle grow faster, it tends to create bulky muscle, which is good
for explosive and high intensity activities. Creatine can act as a detriment to those who are looking to
build endurance such as long distance runners who participate in marathons or triathlons. Creatine
supplements are more geared toward activities that release shorter bursts of energy such as short
sprints, football, and wrestling. Creatine was found to create muscle fibers that are fast twitch, which
typically uses anaerobic metabolism to generate short energy bursts. Endurance activities need slow
twitch muscles that uses oxygen for energy. Creatine can help those endurance athletes gain muscle,
however the bulk will not be beneficial to them. But, for an athlete like me, who long jumps and triple
jumps, creatine is effective in building my muscle and giving me the energy to complete short burst of
energy for each individual

This fact is increasing the importance of private label references. The importance of price is resulting
in the growing importance of discounters as a place to make daily purchases. Discounters recorded a
positive performance in 2009 and it is a good sign for Marks and Spencer. There is the arrival on to
the Spanish market of low cost outlets such as Kiabi or Primark, and the good performance of second
hand shops which will not have a significant change on opening M S in Spain. (Ibid)
Marks and Spencer s main competitor would be El Cortes ingles and Mercadona. Also, the Spanish
retail market continues to be dominated by small, mostly family owned companies. However, chained
retailers increased in importance over the review period. In 2009, Mercadona led the Spanish retail
market, taking El Corte Inglés s position. Mercadona is benefiting from the dropping price strategy in
order to help Spanish consumers deal with the crisis. Also, the company is seeing sales through its
website increase at a strong pace. Meanwhile, El Corte Inglés has suffered from the poor economic
conditions mostly due to its overpriced image. (Ibid)
As seen in previous years, non store retailing saw a much stronger performance than store based
retailing in terms of growth in value sales. This was due to the strong performance of Internet
retailing, albeit from a still very low base. The growing popularity of online shopping is a
consequence of the

The Song Of Myself By Walt Whitman And Howl
Both Song of Myself by Walt Whitman and Howl by Allen Ginsberg are important pieces of American
poetry. Song of Myself was written in the 1850 s and Howl was written about a century later. Both
poets were part of groups that wanted to change America the Transcendentalists and the Beats.
Transcendentalists believed in the goodness of people and nature. They believe that people are at their
best when they are truly independent. The Beats rejected standard values and materialism. They
experimented with drugs and sexuality. Both movements tended to portray the wilderness as heavenly,
while thinking that human nightlife was too showy. Both of these groups were fully American literary
movements. Both poets mention nature in the poems. Both poets write about their reactions to the
politics of their time. The poems were rebellions against the commonalities of their cultures. Whitman
and Ginsberg both believed in democracy. They both protested against industrialization and tradition.
Both poets wrote in dangerous times. They wanted to take a stand against what they thought was
wrong with the world. They both wanted to take on the burden of being true to what America is really
supposed to be. Both poets were gay. Also, both poets were very young at the time that they wrote
these poems. Ginsberg was greatly influenced by Whitman when writing Howl . While writing, he
was even reading some of Whitman s poems. He wanted his world to be like how Whitman saw his
own world in

The Poetry of Walt Whitman versus William Carlos Williams...
The Poetry of Walt Whitman versus William Carlos Williams
Perhaps the most basic and essential function of poetry is to evoke a particular response in the reader.
The poet, desiring to convey on emotion or inspiration, uses the imagination to create a structure that
will properly communicate his state of mind. In essence he is attempting to bring himself and the
reader closer, to establish a relationship. William Carlos Williams contends that art gives the feeling of
completion by revealing the oneness of experience (194) This argument relies on the precept that art is
reality is not nature or a reflection of nature but a completely original creation. And additionally, that
art is holistic, where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His poetry is an exploration of momentary images, a jagged journey through personal perception, that
the reader can relate to. Williams diction and visual presentation of words resists the artificial; his
poetry has a rhythm that is natural and American, a gregarious appeal to the common man. In Spring
and All Williams creates a persona that is appealing, establishing a relationship and affecting the
reader. Both Whitman and Williams create a harmony between themselves and the reader that suggests
the universality of experience. The creation of an acceptable persona is essential to Whitman s poetic
program. In Song of Myself this is accomplished through a congenial style that consists of unbridled
enthusiasm, a friendly voice; an image emerges of Whitman shouting at the reader, saying Look what I
ve discovered! : Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems,/ You
shall possess the good of the earth and sun (25). His poetry is often conversational, lacking a highly
structured form. From the beginning of Song of Myself it is clear that the poem is not merely a static,
decorative creation, but that it is an act of communication between the poet and reader. When
Whitman writes what I assume you shall assume,/For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to
you (23), he implies a meeting of minds; not only is he going to

The University Of North Florida
According to the Gallup Purdue Index Report, only 39% of the over 30,000 college graduates
surveyed had experienced elements of well being as well as felt engaged in their work (Great Lives 7).
Interestingly, the study also found there was no difference if they attended a public, private, non
selective, or a highly selective institution (7). Therefore, graduates of the University of North Florida (
UNF ) are doing the same in job engagement and well being as graduates from all other colleges.
Thus, less than half the graduates from UNF enjoy overall good lives; UNF must do better. UNF must
revise its education policy with the goal of having all of its graduates enjoy good jobs and good lives.
Amazingly, based upon my research this is not a Herculean task; the Gallup Purdue Index Report
found that if a graduate had a professor who captivated and mentored the graduate, then that graduate
had more than a 200% likelihood of having job engagement (7). Additionally, graduates were also
shown to have more than a 200% likelihood of being engaged in their job if they had experiential and
deep learning, which was having an internship, a job related to their major, a long term project, or
extracurricular activities while attending college (10 11). Therefore, the jobs and lives of UNF
graduates can be improved if they had been captivated and engaged in learning as students.
Almost 200 years ago, a French pedagogue, Joseph Jacotot, articulated a way for students to be

Weight Watchers Research Paper
I knew about Weight Watchers way before Oprah started endorsing it! I remember learning about the
weight loss plan in my early twenties from one of my friends. I watched her jump from one diet to
another unsuccessfully, until she tried Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers is diet plan that was
invented in the early 60 s by an overweight housewife named Jean Nidetch. Like most Americans she
was tired of denying herself cabs, desserts and whatever else she wanted to eat for the cost of losing
weight.
Weight Watchers has become a household name, it has over 30 million members and is used in many
countries. I think one of the biggest reasons why Weight Watchers has been able to stick around is
because of their weekly meetings. During those weekly members talk about their weight loss goals,
share eating tips, exercise, and they also discuss behavioral changes that are necessary to attaining a
healthier lifestyle. Losing weight is not easy, but when you have the support of a group, it goes a long
way. Weight Watchers promises you can eat whatever your heart desires, in moderation, of course. It

For one, it is not safe for children. The program s strict point system would not fit a child s daily
calorie intake. Because a child s body is still growing, I think they need their recommended daily
intake of fruits, veggies, legumes, fats and cabs. The plan that weight watchers has limits them from
consuming the amount needed for a child s diet. I think they would either eat too much of certain food
group and not eat enough of another. I think it s a lose lose situation for a child. Aside from their
nutritional needs not being met with the Weight Watchers diet I think that introducing a child to such a
strict diet while they are still developing can hurt them psychologically. The diet plan s calorie
counting, introduces a unhealthy relationship with food, which can later lead to an eating

Witches In Macbeth Essay
Hi, I m Maddy Foster and this is another episode of Which Witch is Which? Today we re going to talk
about the witches, also known as the weïrd sisters, in Macbeth.
Macbeth is Shakespeare s shortest play, but arguably his darkest and most powerful creation. King
James I commissioned Shakespeare to write this play for his amusement sometime around 1606. It
deals with an array of themes including revenge, guilt, violence, insanity and also the supernatural.
Shakespeare based Macbeth mainly on an Elizabethan report of Scotland s history called Holinshed s
Chronicles , written by popular a historian at the time pictured here, but also referred to a few other
sources. Macbeth features an interesting hybrid cast between the natural and supernatural. ... Show

In fact, the witches bear a striking and obviously intentional resemblance to the fates, female
characters who weave the fabric of human lives and then cut the threads to end them. They speak in
almost chant like rhyme with paradox and equivocation, Fair is foul and foul is fair (Act 1, Scene 1,
Lines 11 12) and Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble (Act 4, Scene 1,
Lines 10 11).
At the time Macbeth was written, necromancy was feared and witches had developed into a serious
and ever present social concern. Bear in mind that those accused of witchcraft 90% of the time were
just old, poor, unprotected, single or pet owning women. Nonetheless, witches were perceived as evil,
sub human servants of the devil. Shakespeare therefore introduced the witches knowing that they
would grip an audience, as anything to do with witchcraft would create fear. In fact, Macbeth is the
17th century s equivalent to a modern day horror

The Pros And Cons Of The Kantian Universalization Principle
Comedian Robert Orben joked, There is so much pollution in the air now that if it weren t for our
lungs there d be no place to put it all. As Homer Simpson famously said, this joke is funny because it s
true. The pollution of Earth has been going on for decades, but recently scientists have been pushing
very hard for practices that do not harm our planet. In 2006, the first Environmental Performance
Index (EPI) was published, ranking countries on how well they are protecting Earth with their policies
and practices. Who doesn t love a little competition? One would think America would love a
competition, looking at their competitive market economy. But America is not faring well in this
environmental competition. Take a look at the facts. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If, however, the result of everyone s following your action will be very undesirable, do not follow
through with the plan. Considering the United States ranking in the Environmental Performance
Index, the Kantian Universalization Principle must not play a large role in the American
environmental policy. An illustration of the lack of Kantian ethics is the Republican Party controlling
Congress blocking efforts by the Environmental Protection Agency to keep water meant for drinking,
recreation, and development safe. After the Clean Water Rule was released, the House and Senate
passed a resolution against the regulations. Congress thought it gave the government too much control
over water supplies for farmers, landowners, and developers who would now need a permit just to dig
a ditch. President Obama vetoed the resolution. Apply the Kantian Universalization Principle and
imagine if every country in the world tried to stop regulations for keeping water

The Truth About Kennedy s Assassination
The Truth About Kennedy s Assassination
There needs to be more explaining and evidence on about President Kennedy s assassination because
what the government says is nonsense and doesn t line up. The government says it was Oswald, but
how could that be he had a wife and kids, so why would he want to go away from them and go to
prison? There s things that the government has concealed from the public. Just something seems to be
off about the government s explanation. I m going to try to give an explanation for what seems to be
the truth due to the information I found in the article The JFK Assassination .
See, here s what I think is that Oswald was a part of a larger conspiracy than we know, but in this
conspiracy he is innocent. Also instead of Oswald it was the government, a bar owner(Jack Ruby), and
the mob did it because how would someone be calm and have no sweat if he did shoot Kennedy? In
addition, be on the 6th floor, then get on the 4th floor in ninety seconds and still have regular
breathing?
Now you might be saying, What why would they have? . There s an explanation which is that the
government didn t like Kennedy. I think this because he made the mob angry and the government didn
t like that he did. Now Jack Ruby had connections to police and they work for the ... Show more

questions. I even still have a few questions, but my main question is if my theory is correct that they
government was involved, then why didn t they just kill him along time before if they did want him
dead? I also can answer my question which is that they wanted the right time, in front of a huge crowd

The reform activities united people and the attack on institutions like caste which hampered social
unity created a sense of oneness in the people. But most of these reform movements had certain
limitations. The questions to which they gave primacy concerned only small sections of Indian society.
Some of them failed to emphasize or even recognize that colonial rule was inimical to the interests of
the Indian people. Most of them worked within the framework of their respective communities in a
way tended to promote identities based on religion or caste. Many of these limitations were sought to
be overcome during the course of the national movement with which many social and religious

Jazz Music Race And Culture In Urban America
As Jazz grew out of blues and slave music to become independently popular in the 1940 s and 50 s, it
also facilitated a conversation about racial equality and black peoples place in American society. Jazz
was recognized by many as black people music due to its roots in slave music and the blues. This
controversy not only brought jazz to the attention of a larger audience, but also, gave it cultural
relevance as music that acted as resistance music and, alternately, brought the warring skin colors
together in harmony. Without the political air that surrounded jazz, the genre would not have carried
the same musical or social influence, as many white people loved the music, but did not necessarily
love the people making it; this is exemplified by the music itself and described in the writings of many
prominent jazz scholars. Jazz music began in the Deep South as the product of African American
discrimination and struggle, and was able to develop due to their eventual independence after the Civil
War. For a long time, blacks weren t being recognized. Their talents and capacities were debased,
devalued and degraded (West 501). Peretti s novel, The Creation of Jazz: Music, Race, and Culture in
Urban America, discusses the racial and cultural dynamics of jazz music. He argues that it is possible
to gain an understanding of jazz by examining the social changes that occurred as a result of the genre
s development. Peretti addresses the controversial belief that jazz is more

Analysis Of Robert Frost And The Tuft Of Flowers
There once lived a fellow named Robert Frost, who was one of the greatest poets of the 20th century.
In the year 1874, Robert s life began in San Francisco. He lived there for eleven years with his family
until his father died. When that happened, Robert, his mother, and little sister all moved to
Massachusetts. There, Robert went to high school and graduated top of his class. He went on to
complete only one term at Dartmouth College, and after that, two years at Harvard University. After
leaving college, Robert worked as a farmer and later as a factory worker for a short time. Next, he
taught English at Pinkerton Academy for four years. Mr. Frost s wrote many poems, one of which is
called The Tuft of Flowers, is one of Frost s earlier works. Accordingly, the focus this essay will be
analyzing that poem and comparing it with another Robert Frost wrote. There are two parts of this
essay, analyzing the first poem using four elements of poetry: theme, imagery, sound, and symbol, and
the second part is a comparison of the first another written by Frost, Acquainted with the Night.
In the beginning of The Tuft of Flowers, a newly mown field can be seen. The flowers and tall grasses,
which had been a haven and a joy for insects, animals, and people, were unceremoniously assaulted by
the blade of the workman. The author of the poem is observing the scene, alone; his loneliness is
evident. However, this hopelessness is as he was before he noticed the tuft of flowers. He viewed all

Jesus Came As The Savior And The World, The Supreme Leader...
Jesus came as the Savior to Israel and the world, the supreme leader of Heaven. In the three and a half
years He ministered, He performed and accomplished astonishing feats. He preached life changing
sermons, and taught captivating parables that remain to test today s most educated scholars. He healed
hundreds of incurable diseases, provided food for thousands extraordinarily, calmed storms suddenly,
walked on water confidently, brought people back to life, and selected just a dozen men, eleven of
whom would go on to spend the rest of their lives fulfilling His mission. He selected hard working
people such as fishermen to be His apprentices, and helped and ate with regular people. He challenged
and condemned religious leaders, who resented and despised Him. He taught in Jerusalem, the cities
of Judea, out in the rural areas, in meadows, on mounds, and from boats in the water while multitudes
attended attentively from the shore. Jesus taught about a place, but not a place of this world. He never
had a family, owned a home, held an office, or even wrote a book. Though some would debate as
Christians we are children of God, He is seated at the gates of our eternal home in Heaven, sits at the

Software Projects And Risk Exposure Among Student Software...
development. In a company, there are many factors beyond pure coding affecting the whole project
development process. Unstable organization environment, corporate politics with negative effect on
the project, or change in organizational management during the project etc. in a company will all have
impacts on the project. However, for students developers, these issues are not within the consideration
most of the times.
The realization of huge differences on potential risks between students software projects and industrial
software projects drives us to analyze risks among student population more closely and independently
from existing work. To gain more insight into the risk exposure among student software project
developers, especially under the following two different scenarios which are two common forms of
practice for student groups: developing the software project by an individual or by a small team (3 or
4 people in a team). Studying the relationship between individual/team based software projects and
risk exposure among student groups is quite useful and interesting. As far as we can see, it is the first
time to conduct risk analysis only based on student groups and it is hoped that we could give student
developers more guidance on risk management policies, which corresponding risks analysis is based
on student groups but not professional fields, thus lessening software project risks and improving
projects performance.

The Unconditional Trust In William Carlos Williams The Use...
Doctors have maintained credibility for their ability to treat and cure for centuries. By earning the title
of Doctor, it is common for them to be given automatic respect and admiration. However, William
Carlos Williams The Use of Force reveals the phenomenon that unconditional trust may paradoxically
have a negative impact on the doctor patient relationship. His narration contrasts the characteristics
expected in a doctor to that of his own personal feelings and emotions.
The parents of a young girl urgently ask Doctor Williams to check on their daughter, concerned that
she was sick with diphtheria. As the doctor approaches the young girl, he narrates, I smiled in my best

Doctors are perceived as selfless, altruistic, and amicable saviors which convinces the general public
that doctors should be trusted. As Lee observed, the narrator warns his readers of the danger that can

privileges is for his patients to protect themselves (Axelrod, 466) In the beginning, the doctor narrator
showed characteristics of wanting to help and represented himself as trustworthy to the young girl in
order to gain her cooperation. His thoughts suggested good intentions as well, I m here to look at her
throat at the chance that she might have diphtheria and possibly die of it (Axelrod, 502). However,
many would argue that the doctor came off as pretentious because he brushed off all signs of courtesy
made by the parents. Interestingly, the parents were not bothered by the doctor s discount and

Because they are so vitally important, the brain and spinal cord, located in the dorsal body cavity, are
encased in bone for protection. The brain is in the cranial vault and the spinal cord is in the vertebral
canal of the vertebral column. In addition to bone, the central nervous system is surrounded by
connective tissue membranes, called meninges and by cerebrospinal fluid.
The brain is divided into the cerebrum, diencephalon, brain stem and cerebellum.
The largest portion of the brain is the cerebrum which is divided into two cerebral hemispheres. The
two hemispheres are two separate entities.
The diencephalon is centrally located and is nearly surrounded by the cerebral hemispheres. The
thalamus, which makes up about 80% of the diencephalon, consists of two oval masses of grey matter
that serve as relay stations for sensory impulses, except for the sense of smell, going to the cerebral
cortex.
The cerebellum is the second largest portion of the brain. Three bundles of myelinated nerve fibres,
called cerebellar peduncles, form communication pathways between the cerebellum and other parts of
the central nervous system.
The spinal cord extends from the base of the skull to the level of the fist lumbar vertebra and like the
brain, it is surrounded by bone, meniges and cerebrospinal fluid. The spinal cord is divided into 31
segments and each segment gives rise to a pair of spinal

A Communicative Approach to Language Teaching
Communicative Approach to Language Teaching
Objective
The objective of this study is to examine the general context of the communicative approach in
language teaching and describe the key features of a communicatively innovative approach with a
focus on form and to describe in detail four central elements of an innovative and progressive
approach to second language teaching. This work will additionally discuss the challenges found in
relation to the application of these two elements.
Introduction
The work of Ellis (2000) reports, that Second Language Acquisition (SLA) ...is a sub discipline of
linguistics , stated to be a very young field of study. According to Ellis it is agreed upon by many
researchers in the field that ...the late sixties marked the onset of an intense period of empirical and
theoretical interest in how second languages are acquired. (2000) The work of O Laoire (nd) reports
that in recent years there has been a great deal of focus on learning the Irish language within the
context of immersion bilingual programs and that these type studies have emphasized the value added
cognitive dimension of studying Irish within an immersion education context with findings that are
consonant with bilingual programs elsewhere. (nd, p.1) However, it is reported as well that a serious
challenge is present for the learner of Irish due to ...the distribution of Irish speaking networks. (O

Classi Cation Performance Evaluation Report
To evaluate our systems classi cation performance, i.e. the proportion of correctly classi ed tweets
for a given test set, we used four common information retrieval (IR) evaluation measures, including

Calculation Of Weighted Average Cost Of Capital Essay
Paper Outline The objective of this paper is to understand the process of calculation of weighted
average cost of capital(WACC), which is the core multiple used for discounting future cash flows of
an entity and calculating the intrinsic value of the company s stock. However, in this paper, we will
solely focus on the calculation of WACC and its component, the costs of equity and cost of debt. In
order to work with a pragmatic approach, we have selected Henkel AG, a German conglomerate active
in both consumer and industrial sector, and will estimate the WACC multiple of the said company.
However, in order to be more comprehensive in our approach, we will bifurcate our calculation in two
parts. While Part 1 will detail the cost of equity calculation and related assumption, Part 2 will discuss
the cost of debt calculations and related assumptions. The paper will be culminated with a succinct
conclusion over the WACC calculation and how the same will be used further for valuation purpose.
Important to note, all the data used in this paper will be sourced from credible financial websites in
order to provide high level of authenticity to our work. Part 1: Cost of Equity Calculation Cost of
equity is the required rate of return on the firm s common stock. In other words, it is the fair return
which the equity investors expect from the company for bearing the risk involved in the equity
investment. (Damodaram, 2015) While there are many methods of calculating the cost of equity,

The Declaration Of Independence, All Men Are Created Equal
The Declaration of Independence states all men are created equal. However, that concept does not
contribute to Fredrick Douglass and Red Jacket, who represent two different cultures with a similar
dilemma. Both argue the hypocrisy of the document, that only applies to a certain population of the
United States of America. In addition, Douglass and Red Jacket are defending their beliefs among the
injustices that they have came across with the whites . Even though Red Jacket is speaking up among
the betrayal of the Europeans, referring to the day of the Europeans arrival to their land as a day of
disgrace, ...We gave them corn and meat; they gave us poison in return. Douglass, in comparison
advocates for black civil rights, and the inequalities for the ever existence of slavery. However, both
come together at the end of the day to describe the irony of the same government. With a well develop
argument, the prove their point across showing ethos, both emotion and values among their distinct
cultures. Fredrick Douglass In The Meaning of the 4th of July for the Negro, written by Fredrick
Douglass on July 5, 1852, Douglass discusses his personal thoughts of the irony of the Declaration of

American law towards the inequality and injustice treatment of slaves. Douglass also highlights the

Nikki Giovanni s Kidnap Poem Imagery
Kidnap by Nikki Giovanni is a short poem about referring to her lover whom she has great desires to
be with. Giovanni wants her lover to return to her or to continue staying with her and shows her
devotion for her lover through this poem. With Nikki Giovanni s use of repetition, imagery, and
metaphor, the purpose of this poem is to captive the reader s mind through her words. Giovanni s use
of imagery in this poem appeals to the readers senses and shows readers that poetry can take them to
different places. This poem expresses a tone of emotion and love. Giovanni tries to draw in the readers
using mixed and conflicting emotions.

Mary Anne Warren Analysis
Mary Anne Warren argues in the position that abortion is morally permissible because the fetus is not
a person therefore has no rights and not considered immoral to be killed. I shall argue that Warren s
argument in invalid since the claims of argument cannot be proven. The general argument made from
Warren is (1) If a person, they have the right to life, (2) The fetus is not considered a person, and (3)
Therefore, since the fetus is not a person they do not have a right to life. Also, (4) A human being
needs all the morals of personhood to be considered a person, (5) An infant does not have morals, and
(6) Therefore, an infant is not a person because the do not have the morals to be considered a person.
From the time that Warren s article. On the Moral and Legal Status of Abortion , was published she
had gotten critiques that her argument appears to justify not only abortion, but infanticide as well.
(Warren, 16) Warren claims that if her argument is valid then infanticide is not a form of murder, since
you are not killing a person. A human being is a person if they have the previous characteristics of
personhood introduced into her argument. According to Warren ... Show more content on

arguments. Although her response about this is that infanticide is not just because it deprives the
infants from people that care about them and can find happiness along their side. A person might want
to raise these infants and the reason why they should be put into orphanages. In the end Warren s
argument is contradicting that infanticide is morally wrong because it deprives form having

Cyberpunk and Science Fiction Essay
Cyberpunk and Science Fiction Science fiction can be defined as a method of story telling that steps
outside of the box of life as we know it and into the realm of the impossible. Science fiction works are
often designed to be only truthful in the eyes of the author and the reader. However, there are times
when either a science fiction work parallels closely to the future of our world and therefore becomes a
possibility or life pursues a science fiction like ideal making the quest heroic in itself. The latter of the
two can describe the viewpoint of our growing cyberpunk culture and its belief that technology is the
end no matter what means be. The stories in the book Cyberpunk seems to focus on the life of a

for that application (good vs. evil). These envisioned plans are realized in Cyberpunk. Each story
starts out with a young person who holds a vision. In each case, the Punk has a desire to find an
advantage gained by exploiting the technology. Aspirations were all fulfilled, from cheating telephone
companies to hacking into corporate offices and generally wreaking havoc on the cyberworld. To deal
with these villains, our government attempts to prevent any misuse of technology through the
enactment of laws prohibiting illegal actions. In addition, manufacturers and visionaries continuously
develop new products and technologies designed to prevent the hackers from getting the upper hand.
Despite these efforts however, as is the case in many science fiction works, it is the villains who set
the standard and the establishment fighting these villains is forced to follow. Science fiction villains
and hackers alike, seem to always be one step ahead of the law (see the latest and greatest computer
virus for a perfect example). Some science fiction novels are written with our world portrayed as a
technological graveyard in the not too distant future. However, it seems that we are accelerating our
rate of advancement by mimicking the events of these science

Helen Keller Contributions
A global citizen is someone who represents resilience, values diversity, recognizes social injustice and
works towards changing it. All of these values were thoroughly represented by the personality of and
the life lead by Miss Helen Keller. Despite the fact that she was left permanently both deaf and blind
at the age of 19 months she overcame numerous challenges and learned to communicate, eventually
earning a degree from one of the leading universities in the United States. In doing so she represented
the first quality of global citizenship, resiliency. Helen Keller was a huge believer in the ability of all
people to do great things in the world. She believed that no matter what your disabilities be it
deafness, blindness, amputation or otherwise you could do great things, and thus she represented the
second quality of global citizenship, believing in the value of diversity. Helen Keller was a major
social activist for the disabled community of the 20th century, she contributed to the recognition and
support of them in numerous ways, from causing braille to become the world s standard alphabet for
the blind to being one of the founders of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Helen helped
countless numbers of people and inspired countless more. Helen Keller s actions truly made her one of
the greatest global citizens of the 20th century and arguably all time.

The Water Systems At Bulls Creek, Wild Basin, And Mckinney...
Our study determined how detrimental pet activity is on the environment, more specifically the water
systems at Bulls Creek, Wild Basin, and McKinney Falls. My hypothesis was the if there is human
and pet activity near water ways, there will be an increase in algae boom and chlorophyll a
concentration because bacteria body material, and feces of the dog affects the water s health. Our
results did not agree with our hypothesis because Chlorophyll a concentration was higher at
McKinney Falls, where there was the most pet activity, and lower at Bulls Creek, even though pets
were allowed also. Additionally, the Wild Basin, where there were no pets allowed, had samples with
an unexpectedly high chlorophyll a concentration compared to the samples from Bulls Creek. Other
factors including canopy cover, and urban runoff could have also altered water quality.
I infer that the water quality was affected more by other factors. The two sites with about the same
amount of human activity were McKinney Falls State Park and Bulls Creek. On the other hand, Wild
Basin swimming is not allowed. Our results showed that the order from greatest to least amount of
nitrate and phosphorous concentration was Bulls Creek, McKinney Falls, and Wild Basin at the
lowest. Hence, because Bulls Creek was had the high amounts of human activity and nitrate and
phosphorous levels, this relates

Great Expectations Vs Great Expectations
It is not challenging for the story of Great Expectations to survive as it had been presented in Charles
Dickens book and faithful film adaptations. In the 1800s, Britain was undoubtedly the most powerful
and great nation in the world. In this society of wealth and power, a gentleman was one that possessed
wealth and power but also of great importance was that those attributes came from a respectable
source. Charles Dickens wrote this novel to warn Britain against the arrogance, wealth and power its
people had in those days, and favoured a gentleman of great humility and respect for others.
The Victorian idea of a gentleman during these times is based on birth, apparel, social status and
wealth. On the other hand, Dickens portrays a gentleman as someone of generosity, humility, and
kindness. The early life and the upbringing of Dickens allowed him to understand the perspective of
those of low social standing and the effect of their poor upbringing keeping them in the lower social
class. Dickens Great Expectations portrays a very class mobile society in which fortunes can be made
and lost equally suddenly, while by contrast Dickens portrayed the extraordinarily varied ways in
small differences of dress, accent, and action by which people present themselves and act out their
class identities and aspirations.
Someone who came from a respectable and wealthy family in Victorians times was described to be a
gentleman. This is evident in various characters in the book who are

Cheese Making Art Started Involuntarily, When Pastoral
Cheese making art started involuntarily, when pastoral tribes carrying milk using saddlebags made of
animal skins realized that, the milk clotted and in the end separated into milk curds and whey. The
whey provided a refreshing whey drink; while they drained the curds, salted it to give a tasty and
nourishing protein food. Traditionally, the cheese making procedure remained a day long process,
starting in the morning, after farmers milked their cows, till late in the afternoon. Eventually, the art
evolved drastically and spread across the world. The cheese making process is part science and all
cheese crafting uses some variant of the four step process that includes curdling, draining, pressing,
and ripening. In this occasion, we explore ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2.Making process
Another disparity is in their making processes; cheddar making process starts by heating milk to 71F
to pasteurize and curb decomposition and promote product uniformity. Thereafter, a starter is added to
enable the growth of flavor and texture. The starter culture changes lactose to lactic acid, preparing the
milk before adding rennet which helps coagulate the milk proteins. Thereafter, the coagulated milk is
cut into small curds, a process that helps separate curd from whey. The cheesemakers then heat the
mixture, stirring constantly after which the whey is drained. The Cheddaring stage kicks in, which
involves kneading curd with salt, cutting it to drain excessive whey, then rotating and piling. The
cheese then enters the salting stage, after which the curds are set in molds and pressed to shape and get
rid of excess moisture. Pressing can go overnight. Lastly, maturing stage sets in which goes on up to
24 months, depending on the age required.
Subsequently, Gouda making process uses pasteurized or unpasteurized milk. Nonetheless, the milk
must be clean and quality milk. The milk is heated to 86F; culture is added, and then ripened for one
hour. Thereafter, rennet, which helps coagulate the milk, is added. The mixture sits for about 45
minutes or until firm curds develop. The process continues with cutting the curd, into inch big squares,
holding for another five minutes to let curds firm up; this trick helps avoid losing milk fat.

Immigration Law is and how it works, then I will define the number one problem of immigration laws,
illegal immigration and why it s so important to follow procedures. It will also address the
consequences after violating the laws. Next the paper discusses three policy solutions to the problems
of illegal immigration: Legalization of Immigrants, Strengthen Border Security, and Immigration
Amnesty. The paper will first explain each policy solution. Then it will analyze the pros and cons, and
potential strengths and weakness of each solution. Last this paper will offer some personal
observations on the problem of immigration.
Three government policy solutions to the problem of illegal immigration include the Legalization of
Illegal Immigrants, the Secure Fence Act of 2006, and Amnesty. If these three government policies
were truly implemented it will help to solve and cut back in illegal immigration activity in the United
States.

The Importance Of Issues In Special Education
Introduction
Special education creates opportunities for students, parents, teachers and related staff and
administrators to work together to improve educational results students with disabilities. IEPs and
504s are the plans that help educators to develop education for each student with disabilities. The IEP
is an important legal document that handles issues in special education properly. There are so many
rules that school personnel must follow. In this assignment, I will identify effective procedures for
documentation and remediation of the teacher, her behaviors and the allegations about her regarding a
special education student.
1) Detail all steps you would take relative to the complaint by Julia s parents. Identify any and all
steps and documentation necessary under your state s laws and district policies, as well as specify
what any documentation you should include and what you will do with it.
First, I would suggest the parent file to a formal complaint about the teachers if they feel the teacher is
treating Julia differently than every other student and singling her out. According to Washoe County
School District (WCSD) policy, student or parent must fill out the formal student complaint based on
allegations of discrimination. The WCSD board policy is specifically connected student issues and
parent complaints, not every concern or a complaint is covered under the WCSD policy and
procedures. Some complaint have their own policy and procedures to follow.

were many instruments. The most popular solo instruments of the time were the virginal and the lute.
The virginal was a popular variant of the harpsichord among the English and one of Elizabeth s

Drawing is one of the best forms for an artist to express themselves and their emotions. During the
Italian Renaissance drawing started to have a new meaning in the world of art. The most famous artist

Rhetorical Analysis Of A Thousand Acre By Jane Smiley
This paper will be a unique interpretation coupled with an analysis of rhetoric in A Thousand Acre s
by Jane Smiley. This non fiction novel is told in third person omniscient and is focused on the point of
view of one of the main characters, Ginny Cook. A Thousand Acres was a modern day retelling of
Shakespeare s King Lear; set on a large farm and small town in Iowa. This setting is important to the
plot because it is more realistic compared to a far away mystical land that is detached from its
audience. Smiley uses various rhetorical and literary techniques within her book to engage readers
while still keeping to the basic storyline previously written by Shakespeare. Smiley s use of language
positively aids the imagery and emotions seen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
79). This quote shows how Ginny no longer puts her father first and that he Ginny even realizes that
she is built off her presence in their community, I was so remarkably comfortable with the discipline
of making a good appearance! (Smiley, pg. 701). Smiley uses a lot of imagery to describe what Ginny
is feeling and experiencing that is effective at engaging the audience and almost puts them in her
shoes. I personally felt as if I was next to Ginny throughout the whole novel due to this imagery and
language. Larry Cook, father of Ginny, Rose, and Caroline as well as the main landowner of the
thousand acre farm, is the next character to be analyzed. He is introduced in the book as farmer that is
looked up to by his community due to his success. He is the antagonist within the novel and slowly
loses his sanity as the story progresses. This loss of sanity is due to Larry s power and greed that take
over him. It begins with his idea to retire and give his land evenly to Rose and Ginny, but after this
massive life shift occurs he starts acting irrationally and lashes out at his previous caretakers. The
foreshadowing of the major storm aligns perfectly with Larry s final breaking point with Ginny, His
voice modulated into a scream, Or tell me what I can do and what I can t do. You barren whore! I
know all about you, you slut. (Smiley, pg. 452). After this, Rose talks to Ginny about their father
raping them for years,

Essay on Comparison of Fight Club to The Epic of...
Throughout the history, a person has sought for the real reason of happiness. It was sometimes linked
to simple things, whereas sometimes it is thought that even all the values in the world cannot be the
reason of happiness. This transforms happiness into a long, difficult adventure. For finishing this
adventure people use and sacrifice other values. Furthermore, there are lots of stories, legends, epics
that are about this subject. One of epics that is about this subject is The Epic of Gilgamesh. Briefly,
this epic narrates that Gilgamesh s searches about immortality and happiness after his best friend,
Enkidu, dies. In addition, there is a film that manipulates reaching happiness indirectly called Fight
Club. In this film s story, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise Gilgamesh, Jack in Fight Club has monotonous and problematic life before he meets Tyler
Durden. Jack has so much problems that he goes to therapy groups which hopeless humans are
participants. After he meets Tyler Durden, he realizes that he gets rid of his problems and monotonous
life by fighting and meeting new attendees into club. As a compare of these lives, we can say that both
Gilgamesh and Jack have same kind of problems about their lives before they meet their friends. Also
these new friends add excitement into their lives and change their lives in a good way.
In addition, Jack at the Fight Club fights with Tyler Durden, but Jack does not know the fact that he is
fighting with himself at reality. Comparing this, in the epic Enkidu comes to Uruk for a fight with
Gilgamesh. Then he begins to live there. The similarity between characters is that both Jack and
Enkidu fight to be permitted to join the civilization. We can resemble that there is a ticket for entering
to society. If you obey the rules of society and fight for the acceptance, you will get the ticket which
means that you will be accepted to the society.
Moreover, in the epic when Enkidu dies and Gilgamesh becomes anxious and ruined so he goes on a
journey which is about finding a cure for his fear of death. Gilgamesh s ideas about life change while
he is making the journey. At the film, one day Tyler Durden disappears suddenly. When Jack realizes

Impact Of Endangered Species
This report will be discussing and talking about endangered species and the impacts they have on
ecosystems. Endangered species is a species of animal or plants at risk of extinction because of human
activity, changes in climate, ruining of ecosystems, etc. This report will be split into different sections
discussing different examples of endangered species and the impacts that they have on different
ecosystems.
Blue whales, weighing in at 200 tonnes are the largest ever known animal to live on the planet. Sadly,
after whaling has occurred it has made the species endangered with only 10000 to 25000 remaining.
Blue whales play a significant role in keeping the food chain stable and helping with the reproduction
of other species. In the marine ecosystem whales help control the distribution of food by helping to
keep a stable food chain and ensuring that certain marine species do not overpopulate the ocean,
however, Blue whales are being killed and the food distribution in the ocean is becoming unstable and
causing major changes in the food supply of many other marine life A Blue Whale is able to consume
as much as 40 million krill per day, so the impact on the marine ecosystem would be huge because
overtime krill will overpopulate which causes problems in maintaining a food chain because the more
krill there is the more food they will eat so because of their new overpopulation it could make other
animals become extinct. If Blue Whales become extinct then marine life will

  • 2. Creatine To Avoid Supplements Natural, performance enhancing supplements are vital in many athletes diet regimen because they are beneficial in muscle recovery and growth. Aside from the very popular and sometimes overrated post workout aids of sports drinks, such as Gatorade and PowerAde, or protein shakes and bars, Creatine is an emerging natural supplement that is becoming popular within the teen sports community. Creatine already exists naturally in the body and is produced by amino acids that are created by the liver and kidneys, which are sent through the blood to the muscle, giving the athlete energy. The elevation of energy, alongside regular weight training, eventually leads to a bulkier and more defined muscled athlete. Creatine can act as a detriment to those who are looking to build endurance such as long distance runners who participate in marathons or triathlons. Creatine supplements are more geared toward activities that release shorter bursts of energy such as short sprints, football, and wrestling. Creatine was found to create muscle fibers that are fast twitch, which typically uses anaerobic metabolism to generate short energy bursts. Endurance activities need slow twitch muscles that uses oxygen for energy. Creatine can help those endurance athletes gain muscle, however the bulk will not be beneficial to them. • 5. The Song Of Myself By Walt Whitman And Howl Both Song of Myself by Walt Whitman and Howl by Allen Ginsberg are important pieces of American poetry. Song of Myself was written in the 1850 s and Howl was written about a century later. Both poets were part of groups that wanted to change America the Transcendentalists and the Beats. Transcendentalists believed in the goodness of people and nature. They believe that people are at their best when they are truly independent. The Beats rejected standard values and materialism. They experimented with drugs and sexuality. Both movements tended to portray the wilderness as heavenly, while thinking that human nightlife was too showy. Both of these groups were fully American literary movements. Both poets mention nature in the poems. Both poets write about their reactions to the politics of their time. The poems were rebellions against the commonalities of their cultures. Whitman and Ginsberg both believed in democracy. They both protested against industrialization and tradition. Both poets wrote in dangerous times. They wanted to take a stand against what they thought was wrong with the world. They both wanted to take on the burden of being true to what America is really supposed to be. Both poets were gay. Also, both poets were very young at the time that they wrote these poems. • 6. The Poetry of Walt Whitman versus William Carlos Williams... The Poetry of Walt Whitman versus William Carlos Williams Perhaps the most basic and essential function of poetry is to evoke a particular response in the reader. The poet, desiring to convey on emotion or inspiration, uses the imagination to create a structure that will properly communicate his state of mind. In essence he is attempting to bring himself and the reader closer, to establish a relationship. William Carlos Williams contends that art gives the feeling of completion by revealing the oneness of experience (194) This argument relies on the precept that art is reality is not nature or a reflection of nature but a completely original creation. And additionally, that art is holistic, where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His poetry is an exploration of momentary images, a jagged journey through personal perception, that the reader can relate to. Williams diction and visual presentation of words resists the artificial; his poetry has a rhythm that is natural and American, a gregarious appeal to the common man. In Spring and All Williams creates a persona that is appealing, establishing a relationship and affecting the reader. Both Whitman and Williams create a harmony between themselves and the reader that suggests the universality of experience. The creation of an acceptable persona is essential to Whitman s poetic program. In Song of Myself this is accomplished through a congenial style that consists of unbridled enthusiasm, a friendly voice; an image emerges of Whitman shouting at the reader, saying Look what I ve discovered! : Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems,/ You shall possess the good of the earth and sun (25). His poetry is often conversational, lacking a highly structured form. From the beginning of Song of Myself it is clear that the poem is not merely a static, decorative creation, but that it is an act of communication between the poet and reader. When Whitman writes what I assume you shall assume,/For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you (23), he implies a meeting of minds; not only is he going to ... The University Of North Florida According to the Gallup Purdue Index Report, only 39% of the over 30,000 college graduates surveyed had experienced elements of well being as well as felt engaged in their work (Great Lives 7). Interestingly, the study also found there was no difference if they attended a public, private, non selective, or a highly selective institution (7). Therefore, graduates of the University of North Florida ( UNF ) are doing the same in job engagement and well being as graduates from all other colleges. Thus, less than half the graduates from UNF enjoy overall good lives; UNF must do better. UNF must revise its education policy with the goal of having all of its graduates enjoy good jobs and good lives. Amazingly, based upon my research this is not a Herculean task; the Gallup Purdue Index Report found that if a graduate had a professor who captivated and mentored the graduate, then that graduate had more than a 200% likelihood of having job engagement (7). Additionally, graduates were also shown to have more than a 200% likelihood of being engaged in their job if they had experiential and deep learning, which was having an internship, a job related to their major, a long term project, or extracurricular activities while attending college (10 11). Macbeth is Shakespeare s shortest play, but arguably his darkest and most powerful creation. King James I commissioned Shakespeare to write this play for his amusement sometime around 1606. It deals with an array of themes including revenge, guilt, violence, insanity and also the supernatural. Shakespeare based Macbeth mainly on an Elizabethan report of Scotland s history called Holinshed s Chronicles , written by popular a historian at the time pictured here, but also referred to a few other sources. At the time Macbeth was written, necromancy was feared and witches had developed into a serious and ever present social concern. Bear in mind that those accused of witchcraft 90% of the time were just old, poor, unprotected, single or pet owning women. Nonetheless, witches were perceived as evil, sub human servants of the devil. Shakespeare therefore introduced the witches knowing that they would grip an audience, as anything to do with witchcraft would create fear. • 14. Jazz Music Race And Culture In Urban America As Jazz grew out of blues and slave music to become independently popular in the 1940 s and 50 s, it also facilitated a conversation about racial equality and black peoples place in American society. Jazz was recognized by many as black people music due to its roots in slave music and the blues. This controversy not only brought jazz to the attention of a larger audience, but also, gave it cultural relevance as music that acted as resistance music and, alternately, brought the warring skin colors together in harmony. Without the political air that surrounded jazz, the genre would not have carried the same musical or social influence, as many white people loved the music, but did not necessarily love the people making it; this is exemplified by the music itself and described in the writings of many prominent jazz scholars. Jazz music began in the Deep South as the product of African American discrimination and struggle, and was able to develop due to their eventual independence after the Civil War. For a long time, blacks weren t being recognized. Their talents and capacities were debased, devalued and degraded (West 501). Peretti s novel, The Creation of Jazz: Music, Race, and Culture in Urban America, discusses the racial and cultural dynamics of jazz music. The brain is divided into the cerebrum, diencephalon, brain stem and cerebellum. The largest portion of the brain is the cerebrum which is divided into two cerebral hemispheres. The two hemispheres are two separate entities. The diencephalon is centrally located and is nearly surrounded by the cerebral hemispheres. The thalamus, which makes up about 80% of the diencephalon, consists of two oval masses of grey matter that serve as relay stations for sensory impulses, except for the sense of smell, going to the cerebral cortex. The cerebellum is the second largest portion of the brain. Three bundles of myelinated nerve fibres, called cerebellar peduncles, form communication pathways between the cerebellum and other parts of the central nervous system.

A Communicative Approach to Language Teaching Communicative Approach to Language Teaching Objective The objective of this study is to examine the general context of the communicative approach in language teaching and describe the key features of a communicatively innovative approach with a focus on form and to describe in detail four central elements of an innovative and progressive approach to second language teaching. • 26. Calculation Of Weighted Average Cost Of Capital Essay Paper Outline The objective of this paper is to understand the process of calculation of weighted average cost of capital(WACC), which is the core multiple used for discounting future cash flows of an entity and calculating the intrinsic value of the company s stock. However, in this paper, we will solely focus on the calculation of WACC and its component, the costs of equity and cost of debt. In order to work with a pragmatic approach, we have selected Henkel AG, a German conglomerate active in both consumer and industrial sector, and will estimate the WACC multiple of the said company. However, in order to be more comprehensive in our approach, we will bifurcate our calculation in two parts. While Part 1 will detail the cost of equity calculation and related assumption, Part 2 will discuss the cost of debt calculations and related assumptions. The paper will be culminated with a succinct conclusion over the WACC calculation and how the same will be used further for valuation purpose. Important to note, all the data used in this paper will be sourced from credible financial websites in order to provide high level of authenticity to our work. Part 1: Cost of Equity Calculation Cost of equity is the required rate of return on the firm s common stock. In the 1800s, Britain was undoubtedly the most powerful and great nation in the world. In this society of wealth and power, a gentleman was one that possessed wealth and power but also of great importance was that those attributes came from a respectable source. Charles Dickens wrote this novel to warn Britain against the arrogance, wealth and power its people had in those days, and favoured a gentleman of great humility and respect for others. The Victorian idea of a gentleman during these times is based on birth, apparel, social status and wealth. On the other hand, Dickens portrays a gentleman as someone of generosity, humility, and kindness. The early life and the upbringing of Dickens allowed him to understand the perspective of those of low social standing and the effect of their poor upbringing keeping them in the lower social class. Dickens Great Expectations portrays a very class mobile society in which fortunes can be made and lost equally suddenly, while by contrast Dickens portrayed the extraordinarily varied ways in small differences of dress, accent, and action by which people present themselves and act out their class identities and aspirations. Someone who came from a respectable and wealthy family in Victorians times was described to be a gentleman. This is evident in various characters in the book who are ... Thereafter, a starter is added to enable the growth of flavor and texture. The starter culture changes lactose to lactic acid, preparing the milk before adding rennet which helps coagulate the milk proteins. Thereafter, the coagulated milk is cut into small curds, a process that helps separate curd from whey. The cheesemakers then heat the mixture, stirring constantly after which the whey is drained. The Cheddaring stage kicks in, which involves kneading curd with salt, cutting it to drain excessive whey, then rotating and piling. The cheese then enters the salting stage, after which the curds are set in molds and pressed to shape and get rid of excess moisture. Pressing can go overnight. He is introduced in the book as farmer that is looked up to by his community due to his success. He is the antagonist within the novel and slowly loses his sanity as the story progresses. This loss of sanity is due to Larry s power and greed that take over him. It begins with his idea to retire and give his land evenly to Rose and Ginny, but after this massive life shift occurs he starts acting irrationally and lashes out at his previous caretakers. The foreshadowing of the major storm aligns perfectly with Larry s final breaking point with Ginny, His voice modulated into a scream, Or tell me what I can do and what I can t do. You barren whore!
